Chapter Six

"Harry!" Uncle Vernon spat.

"Yeah?" Harry said somewhat lazily.

"You are to write to that confounded order thing and you tell them we have been treating you good. You need to ask if you have to come with us on our Holiday," Uncle Vernon paused a bit, "and make that bird fly fast!"

With that he slammed the door and Harry heard Uncle Vernon stomp back down the stairs.

Holiday? Harry has never been on one before … unless you count that one time on his 11th birthday when Hagrid pounded down the door. Harry started thinking that a holiday may be fun, but then he remembered who he'd have to go on holiday with. Maybe there was a way that Harry could stay here … alone … or better yet; somehow let the Dursleys leave him here while trying to convince the Weasleys to let Ron stay over here.

Harry found two pieces of blank parchment and his quill. On the first one he wrote:

Dear Moody,

The Dursleys have been treating me fine, I have pocket money, a computer and I get to eat whenever I feel like it.

He paused, he would have to word the holiday part carefully, in a way that would make Moody and Dumbledore WANT him to stay …

There is one thing though, the Dursleys are going on holiday and since you told me not to go off of Privet Drive, what should I do? If I do go, I'm afraid that I wouldn't be treated as well and it wouldn't be much of a holiday for me.

~ Harry

Harry figured that it was a short ending but it made a statement. Next, he wrote a response to Ron's letter:

Ron,

Hermione is going on a long trip with her parents for the summer, I did already ask about the O.W.L.s and she thinks it would be in July or August.
I have good news, two pretty girls moved in across the street and they are nice. One is named Arianna (you'd like her) and the other is Aurora. They look about our age and I think I have a way where you can meet them. I'll have the answer in my next letter.

~ Harry

"Hedwig, I hope you don't mind," Harry held up the two letters, "I need one to the Order to get there as quickly as you can. I trust you"

Ha! Harry just sweet talked his pet! He only pondered on this fact for a second, for Hedwig stopped eating her mice and proudly took the two letters in her beak and flew off.

Harry couldn't stop grinning. If everything went as he was thinking, he and Ron would have two girls to themselves and no Dursleys! If anyone else was in that room other than Harry, they would have sworn that the Slytherin the Sorting Hat saw was beginning to show itself.

note ** I know the chapters are crazy short. This story (up to this chapter) was written about 8 years ago. I just kind of stopped when I felt like it. Now, I am picking up where I left off. I promise to make the chapters longer from now on :)
