I feel like I messed up the last chapter with trying out a new way of writing. But not that I've figured out the style I'm most comfortable with as well as deciding it's the best for the ready to follow. It might be hard to understand but I've been playing around with how I write for a while now and if you check you can see the differences.
Tell me what you think. I don't own pokemon. Have fun.
Last time one Little King Ryan healed up fine with Elizabeth by his side and what great plans I have for them. Now they are going through a dangerous forest worst then the last one. If only the pokemon were the problem though.
"That's right block with a harden!" The main protagonist yells during his battle.
When they come across a river. A young boy was fishing in it not far into the forest and wanted a battle with the pokemon he just caught.
Elizabeth was not very excited for the fight she was watching. In fact she was mostly disinterested and started playing with her Bulbasaur, Blossom.
The young fisher had only a Magikarp against Ryan's Kakuna, Sting. The fight was lasting almost thirty minutes with a flopping fish out of water and a bug that was mostly hardening itself. The fight ended with Sting winning and Ryan congratulated him before returning him. The young boy was crying over his knocked out pokemon, knocked out by the heat and struggling too much.
"That was a good battle." Ryan said wiping sweat out of his eyes visible exhausted. The boy look up to see a hand held out for him, returning his pokemon he stood up and gave him a firm hand shack back.
"Next time." He said. "And my Magikarp will beat you." He was still wiping tears from his eyes. He was a few years younger then Ryan.
Ryan smiled back at him. "Next time you better be. You need to fail at something before you get better. Use this loss to become someone great." With the last words of encouragement the boy left to get it Makicarp healed.
"I can't believe you did that" A voice female behind him said. Turning he saw Elizabeth. "Why did you battle like that? For thirty minutes I waited for you. Do that again and don't be surprised if I leave you behind." She sound dead serious about it.
"I couldn't use Ryuu, he's too strong from a beginner trainer. Sting needs the experience that only battling can give him." Ryan answered her. "And Caterpie is too new for fights. I'll have to ease..." Ryan stopped to remember he never checked the stats for his new companion. The two continued walking in silence Elizabeth looking at the forest brush for any pokemon she could add to her team. Ryan was glued to his pokedex reading up on Caterpie.
"It's a her, Caterpie is a female. I'll have to ease her into battling if I'm going to use her." Ryan finished reading closing the pokedex.
They stayed on the path further into the woods till the sun threatened to fall and turn to night. Neither wanted to walk in the dark and thought it was safer to travel during the day. They found a nice clearing not too far off the main path. They both set up their own tents while the pokemon eat and played around a camp fire they worked on to build. Eating some basic provisions Elizabeth bought for the travel, basic canned food for dinner.
After eating Elizabeth took out her pokemon and went in her tent to sleep. Both said goodnight to the other and Ryan followed her idea and went into his own tent. "Now would be a good time to talk with her." Ryan said saying out a pokeball and releasing the Caterpie.
Sting was on the side of his left leg while Ryuu laid on his lap sleeping. "Sorry it was so sudden with caching you, it wasn't really planed."
"It's fine. I actually wanted a training." She said sounding happy. "I didn't really fight it."
"That's great, I was worried you would be angry." I sighed in relieve and started petting her like I did to Sting when he was a Weedle. She made a noise of delight. "My name is Ryan. Do you have one?"
"My name is Maple. That's the one thing I love to eat and I'm surprised you understand me. Do all trainers understand their pokemon?"
"No, not really. Well if you see any just tell me and we'll stop so you can eat."
"Please think of using me in the next fight. I want to help and grow stronger."
"I'll try Maple but if it looks like it's too much then your going to have to watch." Ryan went to remove her and placing her on the opposite side of Sting next to his leg. "It's time for bed, just sleep there, ok?" She nodded and curled up to sleep.
Morning came quick with Ryan having no dreams and with his internal clock waking himself before everyone. Ryuu had moved and was now on his chest and Maple has now latched onto his right arm. "Guys it's time to get up." He shook his arm for the bug and with the other shook Ryuu awake.
With a yawn Ryuu awoke. "Already master?"
"Yes, early bird gets the worm. Means you have to wake up early for the good stuff."
"Good thing I'm not a bird." Ryuu said laying back down to rest.
"Sleep more but at less get off me." Ryan moved the golden lizard to the side, Maple also detached herself wanting to sleep some more.
Getting up and exiting the tent no one was outside. I'll let everyone sleep just a bit longer. I'll start making food for everyone, starting the fire and breaking a pan for cooking. All skills I had to learn to be an adventure, father was protective in his own way. He wanted me to be ready for any challenge ahead. Starving included.
Some berries should help them get up, healthier then coffee and not addictive. Berries can be eaten raw like most normal fruits but when you cook them extra effects can be added to them, depending on what is cooked with them. Some can't be eaten by humans or are poison but if you cook them their negative effect goes away.
Throwing in a few chesto berries with a mint berry should wake them up. The mint berry isn't as popular or widely know so not many use it. A light blue ball shape like an oran berry but with darker blue dots all around it. Making like a soup for them in the morning, he just added some water to boil and 'bam' you have a basic meal. A berry stew dad calls it.
The sound of a zipper opened up with Elizabeth stepping out combing her wild bed head. "You're up early." She said. "And you made food. You're like the perfect wife." She added with a small giggle.
"Ha ha." I sarcastically laugh added back. "Don't make jokes when you're starving to death. Now come eat, it should help wake you up."I just finished cooking too, placing the food in a bowl for her. Then went to get the rest of his team in his tent.
With the promise of food, Ryuu darted out of the tent to begin munching on his dish. The Caterpie followed slowly behind and Sting needed to be carried, he couldn't move well enough sense evolving.
Ryuu wanted his to be burnt more so he unleashed small flames into his dish. "Perfect." He said.
Maple and Sting didn't say anything. They probably could just eat the leaves around them and be fine.
"Wow." Elizabeth said. "This does wake you up. I feel like I don't need to sleep for days." Her pokemon agreed with quick nods.
The Eevee, Sinopa, walks over to Ryan and began brushing her head on his leg. "Hello cutie." I said picking her up. "How did you sleep?"
"Great." She said.
"That's good to hear." I responded back. Eevee seemed to stop and have a puzzled look but before she could speak Ryan had brought her in closer to cuddle and pet her.
"Hey, that's my fluff ball your cuddling." Elizabeth said. Everyone had finished eating with Ryuu holding Sting running around with with him in the air, Blossom followed them both with a friendly smile.
Handing Sinopa off with a wave we both started to take down our tents and prepare to leave. Ryuu and Maple where the only ones I let out to follow. Carrying them the usually way with Maple attached to my arm like how Sting use to do and Ryuu was on my shoulders. Elizabeth let out Blossom and Sinopa out, Alucard, her Zubat doesn't like sunlight to much.
Finally moving deeper into the woods heading to the heart of it means more brush and foliage making it harder to move, if your not careful then you could get lost. If you get lost then you just better hope another trainer or ranger comes along. They patrol off roads looking for dangerous pokemon or lost trainers. I've meet a few while growing up, when ever I would go out alone I would find myself lost and a ranger would have to take me back to town.
"Help?" I said aloud looking around.
"Something wrong?" Elizabeth asked but I put a finger on my lips to shush her. In the distance I could hear it, a soft cry for help. Elizabeth heard it too without words we both darted in the direction.
"Is that a pokemon's cry? Sounds like it's in need." She said, I forgot she doesn't understand pokemon talk.
"Yeah." I responded with a nod too.
Entering a clearing small corpses littered the floor. A Pidgeotto with both wings broken and eggs smashed next to her. A Rattata's body torn in half, a Pikachu with it's head blown off, and a Scyther impaled by it's own scythe that was ripped off. In the middle of all the chaos riddled with smaller ripped up pieces of leafs that used to belong to Oddishe. Was a Lucario standing over the only living pokemon ready to strike.
"Stop!" I yelled. The Lucario flinched back for a second. "Ryuu ember." Fire shoot out over my head towards the pokemon who leap back.
Landing next to a human. Who smacked the wolf like pokemon. "You dumb bitch!" He yelled. "Why did you stop, is he your master you whore." He continue the beating with the Lucario not resisting. "You're going to fucking get it tonight you stupid fucking bitch. That's all you are!"
Elizabeth rushed over to get the pokemon while I watched in horror. "What are you doing? Stop that!" I yelled at the man now beating his pokemon in front of me. That did get his attention and he turned my way.
He looked older then me closer to six foot, his clean blond hair slicked to the back into a small ponytail. He looked angry with a permanent scowl on his face, a scar ran just under one eye across the nose and stopped just under the other eye. In his right ear was a lock for an earring. His white hoodie with the hood down and the right sleeve ripped off and a piece of clothe wrapped around his wrist. Down his arm was tattoos of black chain links rotating down his arm. Navy blue denim shorts that stops a little past his knees and a pair of running shoes.
His Lucario looked terrible, with scars downs her arms. A similar scar to her owner was own her face across her snout. Lastly a spiked collar was own her with a few chain links still attached.
"It's none of your business what I do with it. You should be more worried about what I'm going to do with you two." His smiled was wicked full of ill intent.
Releasing Sting. "Support from behind. Maple stay on and help with string shot ok. Ryuu I'm going to need you too." Everyone did as told and watched as the Lucario did too.
"Don't forget me." Elizabeth said behind me. She released her own pokemon also ready to fight.
"Lucario. Fucking kill them all." The stranger said.
Faster then all of them, the Lucario kicked the small charmander like a ball throwing him pass all of them. Ducking under a punch from Ryan then spinning to dodge the string shot that followed. Moving her hands fast she caught the razor leaf and chucked them back towards the flying type, Alucard.
"Dodge them Alucard." Elizabeth said, the Zubat swiftly moved past them. "Now supersonic." He screeched causing the Lucario to grab it's ears in pain. When she was hit in the leg by and Eevee's tackle. A swift kick from Ryan into her stomach didn't move her too much.
When she looked up, she was angry with a look like her trainer. Her eyes glowed blue and a blue light was seeping off her paws. Aura spheres were fired from her paws towards the bat and Ryan. Dodging one but getting hit from another Elizabeth caught Alucard before he hit the ground. Ryan was rocketed backwards but seemed ok after getting back up. "Blossom help Sinopa. Us vine wipe."
The Lucario avoiding the attacks from the Eevee also ducked at the wipes. Elbow blocking another tackle from Eevee she grabbed her tail and with a quick flick she throw Sinopa into a tree at the end of the clearing.
Wrapping the vines around her paws she yanked the Bulbasaur towards her, kicking her into the air letting go of the vines. Looking towards Elizabeth to finish the fight. With extreme speed was right next to her and punched her in the stomach causing her to throw up and collapse. An aura sphere on hand she stopped and turned to watch the Bulbasaur falling hit the ground with a little hole where she landed. Not moving.
Aiming the Sphere towards Elizabeth's head. She fired.
WOooooooooOW
So it was kind of hard to switch perspective with out actually telling you when they changed. Tell me if it was too hard and I'll add the "POV" and add who's eyes I'm looking out of. But 9 times out of 10 it will be Ryan or just the readers view.
Just so you know this is the most evil character I've ever made. He is the worse. I love it.
Wish you well, tell me what you think.
