Author's Note: I would like to thank everyone that reviewed, I don't have your names in front of me or I would write them down and I am glad that you are worried for Nova; I promise that she will get better, but it might take a while. And before anyone can say anything, I don't really know if they have cheetahs, probably not, but it's just in the saying, so blah. Also, there is no Zuko in this chapter, this is kind of like a filler, but it's still important in it's own way. I also realize that I haven't updated this in forever, so for those of you that still want to read this story, here you go, I hope you enjoy.

Disclaimer: I do not own Avatar or anything associated with it, I only own Nova.

Chapter 6

Iroh sighed as he made his way to the Med Bay, he was worried about Nova, had been since she fainted. He was astonished at first at her display of power when she had gotten furious and, without a glance at either her staff or chopsticks, had shot a rather large blast of fire at the remaining soldier, then fainted from exhaustion, of course, her eyes and tattoos had had glowed a bright blue.

He entered the Med Bay and saw that Nova was the only person in there, besides the doctor; of course, she was lying in the bed closest to the door with her entire right shoulder was wrapped in white, wet gauze. She was still unconscious, but there wasn't anything he could do about that.

She was breathing evenly, her hair was spread out on the bed under her, but most of it was spilling over the side onto the floor, her hair was very long, it had never been a problem before though. Her shoulder was covered in white cloth, a little wet from the medicine the doctor had put on it. She suddenly started to pant and toss her head around, like she was having a nightmare, something wasn't right about this. She suddenly shot up from her bed, breathing hard, before wincing and grabbing her shoulder in pain.

"Are you alright?" Iroh asked, he was very concerned for her well-being.

Nova stared at him for a moment before finally recognizing him, she nodded and slowly laid back down, careful not to cause herself anymore pain. She felt like she had been kicked in the head by a horse with golden horseshoes.

"I'll get better," she muttered, "it isn't like I've never been hurt before."

Iroh smiled at her stubbornness and said, "Well, you should wait for the doctor to get back, wherever he is, he still needs to check your shoulder."

Nova groaned and said, "Do I really have to? I don't like not doing anything, it's uncommon for me, and it feels weird."

Iroh chuckled and said, "Even if the cheetah wants to run, he must still learn to walk."

Nova glared slightly and looked around the Med Bay; she had never been in here before, so this was something new to her. The walls were basically bare and there were a few other cots in the room, but other than that, there was nothing to see. She began to wonder how long she would be in here, but then again, if she were in here, she wouldn't have to be yelled at by Zuko, but, maybe she liked the yelling, it did give her something to do on this extremely boring ship, other than that and sparing, there really wasn't anything to do.

"How long have I been out?" Nova asked, rubbing her temples.

"About three days," Iroh said. "Your injury was quite severe."

Nova groaned and said, "Great, have I missed anything important?"

Iroh chuckled and said, "Just music night, nothing new has happened that was incredibly important."

Nova sighed in relief and said, "That's good, I hate missing out on important things."

Iroh chuckled again and said, "I think everybody does, it's a common way of life."

Nova looked around and asked, "Where's my staff?"

Iroh thought for a moment before he said, "I do believe it is in Prince Zuko's room."

She nodded and said, "I think I will wait for the doctor, seeing as I just got dizzy for a moment, is there any reason why?"

Iroh shook his head and said, "I don't think so, is there anything you forgot to tell us?"

Nova thought for a moment before she slowly shook her head and said, "No, not that I know of."

Iroh smiled at her and said, "Well, there's nothing our doctor cannot fix."

"Is there anything you can give me for the pain?" Nova asked as her shoulder flared up again.

Just as Iroh was about to answer, the doctor came in and made his way to them. He had a kind face, it was more fatherly than anything, this was the man that people brought their problems to if they needed someone to talk to. He gave Nova a kind smile as he helped her sit up slowly, so as not to jar her shoulder.

"How are you feeling?" he asked finally.

Nova shook her head and said, "Not good, my shoulder won't stop throbbing, is there anything you can give me to dull the pain, or numb it maybe?"

The doctor thought for a moment before he went to a cabinet just out of her site and brought back a vile with clear liquid in it. He handed it to her and said, "Take on drink of this once a day and it should help with the pain, but you are going to need some help getting your shoulder back to the condition that it once was in."

Nova frowned as she took the vile. "You mean I'm going to need therapy?" she asked.

He nodded and said, "It shouldn't be too much, but you will need some, I wouldn't use it to lift anything heavier than a large book for at least a week with that arm, but after the therapy you should be good to go."

Nova quickly took a drink from the vile, relaxing as she felt the pain numbing, but still upset over the fact that she needed therapy to get better. At least it wasn't useless though, she could still use her other arm, and if she had to, as long as it wasn't very heavy, she could lift something with that arm too. Nova blinked, feeling her eyes grow heavy.

The doctor noticed this and added, "I forgot to mention, you need to take it before you go to sleep, otherwise it will make you fall asleep."

Nova nodded sleepily as she let her head rest on the infirmary pillow, quickly falling asleep to the sound of the doctor and Iroh talking.
