It had been six months since James had left for japan. No one had heard anything from him since. Rogue had begun to truly worry for the boy she had come to see as an older brother. She had done as he asked and moved into his house. She had multiple people from school ask her to throw a party when they found out to, but she told them in no uncertain terms that hell would freeze over before she allowed something like that to happen to James' house. She looked at the house before pulling herself into James' Camaro and left. She was on her way to meet Kitty and Kurt at the beach. Or at least she had been before the Camaro veered off the road due to an earthquake. The tires squealed and the breaks screamed but it was to no avail as the car tipped of the slight hill and rolled side over side down the hill.

When she managed to climb out of the wrecked car she saw Quicksilver, Toad, and Avalanche standing over her wearing identical smirks. She growled at them angrily with tears falling down her face like a waterfall. James had trusted her to take care of his car he even explained why it meant so much to him and they had destroyed it! They were going to pay for this! They. Were. Going. To. Pay.

Avalanche seemed to be the only one to pick up on her mood. He realized too late to signal the others though as she removed her gloves and grabbed onto a sneering Pietro. However instead of simply touching him she held on as he screamed and collapsed like a puppet with its strings cut. Still holding onto him she looked at the other two. "You made a big mistake when you made me crash James' car. Now you're gonna pay!"

Then she moved. Having absorbed so much of Quicksilver's power there was no way for them to move. Her first punch caught Toad in the jaw. Given that she wasn't wearing her gloves she absorbed a part of toad's power and left him in unconsciousness. Avalanche tried to use a seismic event to force rogue to the ground but it was too late. With the extra influx of agility from Toad she was able to simply leap into the air and kick Avalanche hard in the face. While she hadn't been traveling as fast as she could she was traveling very fast. The hit left the taller boy unconscious with his back against the tree that had halted his backwards journey.

Rogue's angry glare at the three teens was short lived however when a large silver ball landed beside her. She gave it a confused look and leaned in close when it sprayed a green mist into her face. The last thing she remembered was tentacles rising out of the sphere before her world faded to black.

Rogue woke up to find herself inside a glass tube. She looked out to see the Professor, Scott, Evan, and Kurt. She also saw that she wasn't the only one in a tank. On either side of her in similar tanks were Jean and Storm. Her attention was caught by Scott talking to a boy who looked similar and a tall man in a red suit complete with a red helmet. The two boys seemed to be trying to convince each other of something before a large metal door opened up and out stepped a bigger meaner version of Sabertooth. Rogue began to look for anyway that she could get out of this predicament, when she realized that she was still a speedster. She began to rapidly tap the glass on the tube around her. The glasses began to visibly strain drawing the attention of the man in red and Sabertooth. The glass shattered as Scott and the other boy stepped into the room that Sabertooth had stepped out of. Rogue screamed to Scott but it was too late as the door slammed closed sealing the two boys inside. She started forward only for Sabertooth to grab her around the throat. Her eyes widened in fear when he lifted her to his eye level and growled into her face. She however grabbed his hands to try to relieve her neck when he released her with a pained howl. She focused on his wrist where glass knife had just sprouted. She had to wince in sympathy for the feral mutant. Then she was surprised again when someone she was beginning to worry she would never see again stepped around her calmly and drove an open palm thrust at the feral's face. Sabertooth went flying into one of the surrounding stone walls. The figure stood casually in front of her and drew a gun. He looked different than the last time she had seen him. His formerly but length crimson locks now stood barley an inch from his scalp, and he had bulked up an outrageous amount for only being gone six months. Unbidden a name came to her lips and she stared at the boy who held a gun on the man in red. "….James?"
