"I'll call Snowball whatever I want too. I'm not a prince, but my family comes very a very nice line." Dayton scuffed his voice.
"Really now? King of butt holes?"
"Nope, after my Dad dies I become a Duke." Dayton smiled at Buttercup's dumbfounded face, "Of where I won't say. Otherwise you might just make a huge scandal of it."

Welcome back! I don't want to introduce this one so have fun! RAWR

"Duke? This is some sick messed up joke right?" Buttercup mumbled.
"Nope. If Snowball is mine-"
"Why do you keep calling it Snowball?!" This was getting too complicated for Buttercup.
"You said 'Snowball's-chance-in-Hell' it was mine. So I call it Snowball." Dayton grinned.
"Stay-away-from-my-husband-and-me." Buttercup shoved past him and found a water cooler.
This was just some sick joke he was playing on her.
Dayton didn't follow her this time. He had to keep to his work. Which made escaping a lot easier.
--
Buttercup slowly entered the room. Butch had his back to the door and must not have noticed.
He was sitting on the edge of the bed rummaging through his suitcase.
Buttercup crept slowly up to him and hugged his back. Startling him.
"What's wrong?" He turned face her.
His face so pure and clean made Buttercup feel horrible. Like she was a cheating wife, even though she wasn't.
"Butch, I feel awful." Which was the truth, everything hurt, including her heart.
"Well we don't have to do anything. I wish you would have told me. Just lay-"
"No, I've done something terrible." Her eyes were almost to the point of tearing over.
"I'm not sure I understand." Butch hugged her.
"Butch, I'm-" sick would have been a good word to fit just then.
She bolted out of Butch's arms and quickly to the bathroom.
"Buttercup?" Butch followed her.
He witnessed her choking up the breakfast she had just eaten a few minutes ago.
"Butch, I can't do it anymore!" Buttercup held her stomach.
"What?" Butch was confused.
"I've wanted to tell you." She regained her composure and washed out her mouth.
"Tell me what?" Butch followed as she pulled him back into the main room and back to the bed.
"Promise not to over react?" She sat him down, then took her place bedside him.
He saw small tears slide down her cheeks. What could be so bad?
Buttercup took in a deep breathe waiting for his answer.
"Yes?" His eyes were full of curiosity.
"Butch," how should she sat it? Just blurt it out? Slowly ease into it? No it was too late for going slow. She just had to say it. Just be honest with him about the baby.
She took in another deep breathe, "Butch, I'm…pregnant."
She focused on his eyes. They almost popped out of his head. Looking at them, she felt like she was lost in a green forest. So lost she couldn't find a way out. He didn't show any emotion at all.
"You're-you-we're-baby?" He couldn't form a sentence.
Buttercup only nodded. She placed her hands lightly on her stomach. To emphasize the small lump.
Butch's eyes drifted down to her hands. Why hadn't he noticed it before? Of course, he had noticed it, but he didn't mention because he just thought she had gained a little weight. Even he knew you never mentioned weight to a woman.
Buttercup took one of his trembling hands in her free one.
"Butch? I'm sorry. I just couldn't-"
"A baby? We have a baby? One of our own?" Butch gently removed his hand from Buttercup's and placed both on her small lump, "A tiny life that we both made?"
Buttercup's throat tightened. He wasn't mad at all. He seemed fascinated.
"Right below my fingers is a small baby?" Buttercup felt his fingertips lightly press against her stomach.
"Well, a soon to be baby." Buttercup smiled and pressed his hands against her stomach.
"A baby." When he said the word it sounded like a prayer.
"Our baby." Buttercup whispered in his ear.
Butch lifted his face to look at her. A grin stretched from ear-to-ear.
Suddenly all his fear was gone. He felt like he was doing the right thing. Everything was okay.
"I can't believe it." He was still awe struck.
"Its true." Happy tears were streaming down Buttercup's cheeks.
"We're gonna be a real family." Butch kissed her stomach, sending chills through her.
"Yeah, we are."
"Buttercup, I love you."
"I love you too." Buttercup ruffled his hair.
Butch leaned up and kissed her lips softly. Then put more into it.
"Butch?" Buttercup was breathless.
"I'm sorry," he stopped instantly.
"No, don't be. I-" he kissed her again.
Small kisses, "I love you."
He hugged her waist, keeping his cheek pressed against her stomach.
--
"So that's why you haven't been able to keep anything down?" Dinner was going smoothly so far.
"Yeah, sorry I lied." Buttercup blushed.
"I'm not going to say its okay, I don't appreciate it. I suppose you were only doing what you thought best though." Butch found it hard not to put the word 'baby' in every other sentence
"Just to tell you. I'm not going to sit tied to a chair the entire time." Buttercup warned.
"If its better for the baby you might have too." Butch laughed.
Buttercup made a pouting face, but quickly laughed it off.
"Orders?" Dayton's voice entered into her happy world.
"Oh! Dayton! We'll gonna have something special tonight! We've gotten wonderful news!" Butch spilled everything he knew to Dayton.
"Well tonight's special is crab." Dayton forced a smile.
The news he heard wasn't the best he had heard all day.
"That sounds great!" Buttercup chimed, refusing to let Dayton ruin everything.
"Yes," Butch agreed and ordered the food.
Dayton took the order and left in a brisk walk.
"Is it safe for you too be out here? I mean like, what if something happens?" Butch fiddled with his fork.
"I'm fine. Worry-wart." Buttercup teased, "Everything is okay."
Buttercup had to admit. He took the news better than she thought he would. Nothing at all like what her mind and dreams had come up with.
When the food came around it was a new waiter, Dayton must've switched tables. How nice of him.
"A baby." Butch was still shocked when they got back to the room.
"I think we're past this part." Buttercup laughed and sat down on the bed.
"Still, I can't believe it." Butch kneeled to the floor in front of her. His eyes once again locked on her stomach.
"I know this isn't how you planned ev-"
"I thought we weren't planning anything?" Butch raised an eyebrow at her.
Buttercup smiled and sighed. He was right. Butch laid across her legs, his ear close to her stomach, while Buttercup leaned over his back.
For the first time in a long time everything was okay. She wasn't hiding anything from him, nothing at all.
The nothing she is hiding maybe be tired of being in the shadows though. The nothing is ready for the complete truth to be out there, hurting anyone or anything.

I know I've got problems. Sorry. Hope you aren't too mad at me. Remember to vote on the poll. RAWR
