"Olivia?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I am not going to work with another detective with an anger issue." She stated. Her phone started ringing. She looked at the screen. ELLIOT.
"Captain…"
"Try to keep him talking, Liv." Cragen said, walking over to her and nodding his encouragement.
"Hello?" She said.
"I want to see you again." Elliot said in a low voice.
"Why?"
"Because last time didn't go as planned and I want to make up for it. Where do you want to go?"
"I-I don't, Elliot." She stuttered.
"How about a walk around central park tonight?" He said, and before she could say anything else he continued, "Great. I'll call you again around 11 and tell you where to meet me."
"Elliot, I'm not-" She tried, but he had already hung up. "Did we get anything?" Olivia asked Cragen, hopeful.
"Damn it." Cragen yelled. "It didn't work. What did he say?"
"He wants to meet me in central park. He said he'll call me at 11 and tell me where in the park." She said, putting her phone on the desk.
"No way are you going. This is way too risky." He said.
Olivia wanted to protest, but she knew it was true. She just nodded. "So what do we do when he calls back?"
"Don't answer him."
"He's going to come after me." She said, shaking.
"There are always cops around and everyone knows what he looks like. You're going to be safe here." He assured her.
"How long do I have to keep staying here; the rest of my life?" She snapped, turning to leave. "I'm going out for something to eat." She said as she walked out the door.
"Take Fin with you!" He called back. Fin looked up and saw Olivia standing there, motioning for him to come with her.
"What's up?" He said, walking up to her.
"I'm hungry, and he won't let me go alone." She said, impatiently.
"Actually, Liv." Cragen called walking out of his office, "Take Rollins. I need Fin and Nick to go down to Mercy."
Olivia looked over at Rollins, who wasn't paying attention. "Rollins, want to grab a bite to eat?" She said, making this whole situation seem voluntary.
"Sure." She said, picking up her coat. Olivia shot a glare at Cragen before leaving the squad room. She wasn't mad at him, just frustrated.
"So what's with Benson's old partner?" Nick asked Fin, walking through the hospital doors.
"Stabler? He was a good cop, until he started drinking." Fin explained.
"What happened?"
"You could ask Benson about that, but I wouldn't." He said, walking into the hospital room.
Olivia and Amanda walked down the road to the sandwich place a few blocks down. "So what happened with your partner?" Amanda asked, carefully.
"Elliot." Olivia sighed. "We were partners for 12 years. I trusted him." Olivia said quietly, handing the guy her money.
"He ever hurt you?" She asked, knowing she was prying a little too much.
"That's a story that'll cost you a drink or two." Olivia said, taking a seat at the table. "So what about you?"
"What about me?" Rollins echoed.
"What made you want to come here from Atlanta?" Olivia asked, taking a bite of her sandwich.
"I'll share that with you over those drinks sometime." She said, mischievously. Olivia just gave a small chuckle. "So is this why you've been staying at the precinct, because he started following you?" Rollins asked, digging a little deeper.
Olivia didn't answer her. Rollins took the hint and let it be. They sat quietly and finished their meals before Amanda spoke up again saying, "Want to start heading back? It's getting late."
"Sure."
The girls walked back together, sharing small talk and walked into the squad room.
Fin and Munch were passing by on their way out. "See you tomorrow, ladies." Munch said.
"Night, guys." Olivia replied.
"I have an extra bedroom in my apartment." Amanda suggested. "It'd be more comfortable than this place."
Olivia really thought about accepting her offer, but figured Elliot would just follow her there. "Thank you, but I'll be okay."
"You sure?" Amanda asked, grabbing her coat.
"Yeah. Thanks, though." Olivia said. Amanda just smiled and turned to walk out of the precinct. Olivia let out a huge sigh and plopped into her desk chair.
Cragen walked out of his office and sat on Olivia's desk, "When Elliot calls, don't answer the phone, okay, Liv? I know you want to fix this, but he's not going to listen. Call me if anything happens, okay?"
Olivia just nodded and didn't look up. She was very annoyed with the whole situation and didn't want to talk about it anymore. Cragen took the hint and walked out for the night.
She filled out some paperwork for about a half hour, before making her way to the cribs.
She was startled awake by her phone ringing. She groaned and rolled over to see who was calling. It was Elliot. It was 11:00. Cragen told her to ignore the call, but she answered anyway.
"I'm not meeting you anywhere." She said, sternly.
"Olivia…" He growled into the phone. "You are going to come and see me tonight."
"No. I'm not doing this anymore, Elliot. Leave me alone." She spat at him.
"You're making a huge mistake, Olivia." He whispered, before hanging up.
She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and debated calling Cragen. He won't come here. Everyone downstairs knows what he looks like. She decided not to call Cragen and rolled onto her side and fell asleep.
She was woken up by someone dragging her by an arm out of bed. "What the hell?" She muttered, until she looked up and was face-to-face with Elliot, and he was more pissed off than she had ever seen him. "Elliot," She breathed out. "What are you doing here? How did you even get in here?" She tried backing up, but he held her arm tight.
"You wouldn't come meet me last night, so I figured I would come and see you. I worked here for 12 years. I know how to get in and out without being seen." He winked at her while grinning.
The fact that they were completely alone dawned on her, and she started shaking. "You need to leave, Elliot. Now."
"Not without you." He tightened his grip on her and pulled her out of the cribs into the squad room.
"I'm not going anywhere with you!" She yelled, punching him as hard as she could. He let her go and while he tried to regain his balance, she punched him again. She turned to run out, but he grabbed her arm and bent it behind her back.
He slammed her into the wall and said, "Now that wasn't very nice." She turned slightly and elbowed him in the face, but he didn't let go. He gripped her arm tighter and threw her to the floor. He jumped on top of her; his knee was digging into her stomach and she was trying to push it away from her broken ribs.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Olivia." He said, sarcastically. "Am I hurting you?" He said, pushing his hand down on her ribs. Olivia growled and grabbed his arm. "Oh, that's right." He continued, his tone becoming bitterer with every word. "I broke these, didn't I?" He drew back his fist and plunged it right into her ribs. Olivia screamed out in agony, and right away was struggling to breath. "Don't scream!" He demanded, hitting her in the face a couple times. Olivia noticed that the sun was beginning to come up and that someone would hopefully get there soon. When he stood up, Olivia didn't get up right away. She tried breathing deep, but a sharp pain hit her ribs.
"Are you going to come with me now?" He challenged. Olivia didn't respond to him, only tried sitting up. "I'll take that as a yes." He said, grabbing her arm and pulling her to her feet. He put his hands on both her sides and started pulling her with him. "You know, if you would have just met me in the park last night, none of this would have had to happen." His tone changed as he continued. "But you chose to be stupid and blew me off. I told you that you had made a mistake, but you chose not to listen to me. You're choosing not to come with me now, and you've been making some awfully bad decisions lately so I suggest you start thinking." He said, pressing his thumbs into her ribs.
Olivia tried backing away from him, but he held onto her tight. "Please, let go of me." She whispered. To her surprise, he did let go. She backed away and glanced to the doors. She debated whether she would be able to make it out or not. She decided it wasn't worth it and wrapped her arms around herself, trying to calm down.
"Now that I did what you want, you have to do what I want." Elliot stated. "Let's go." He said, motioning for the back stairs. Olivia had her eyes closed and was focusing on her breathing, when Elliot slapped her hard across the face to get her attention and said, "I'm giving you a choice! You can either come willingly, or not."
She just stared at him, not moving, and then she spit in his face and glared at him with so much pain and hatred in her eyes. He wiped her spit off his face and said, "That's okay, Olivia." He pulled out his gun. "Because I know you won't even think about doing that again." He hit her on her forehead with the butt of his gun and she fell against her desk, hitting her head on the corner. She was groaning in pain when he knelt down and ran his fingers through her hair. She flinched away from him, closing her eyes.
"Now, Olivia, are you going to listen to me, or not?"
"Elliot, please leave." She whimpered.
He thrust one hand back against her ribs while the other grabbed her face and angled it toward him. "Answer me, Olivia." He yelled in her face.
"I'm not going with you, Elliot." She spat, glaring at him while trying to fight the pain that was throbbing in her chest. He frowned and pushed her to the ground. He kicked her as hard as he could in the ribs.
Amanda stepped off the elevator and heard a blood curdling scream. She pulled her gun and peeked around the corner into the squad room. She saw Elliot standing over Olivia, who was crying out in pain and struggling to breathe on the ground.
"What did I say about screaming?" He shouted, kicking her again. Olivia yelled out again; she tried not to, but it hurt so badly. Rollins aimed to shoot at Elliot, but he yelled "Get up!" and pulled Olivia to her feet. He shoved his gun in her face. "Are you going to scream again?" He growled. Olivia only shook her head; she was practically hyperventilating.
Amanda couldn't believe her eyes; Elliot was attacking Olivia in the middle of the squad room. Olivia had her back turned to her; she could only see the rage on Elliots face when he slapped her, hard. Amanda pulled out her phone and dialed Cragen.
"Cragen."
"Captain," Amanda whispered. "Elliot is attacking Olivia at the precinct. Hurry."
"Shit. Okay. I'll be there soon." He hung up.
She gripped her gun tighter and tried to see if she had a clear shot. Elliot had walked around her so he was now facing away from her and she could see Olivia's face. She had blood running down the side of her forehead, a bruise of the left side of her face and a black eye. Amanda had never seen Olivia look at someone with so much hatred in her eyes, although her facial expression showed just how much pain she was in; Elliot continued talking angrily to her.
Amanda quietly hustled into the squad room and crouched behind a desk. Olivia saw her, and while she was distracted, Elliot had punched her in the face and yelled, "Listen to me when I speak to you!"
Olivia tried to catch herself on something, but nothing stopped her from crashing to the ground. She tried scooting away from him, but he pulled her to her knees by her jaw and bent down to yell in her face. "You think you can just ignore everything that we had and I'll just go away?"
Now that Olivia knew Amanda was there, she started fighting back again. She grabbed his neck, digging her nails into him and tried to push him away from her. He grabbed her wrist, ripping her hand from him and punched her hard.
Amanda poked her head above the desk and Olivia had her back turned to her again, she also didn't have a clear shot on Elliot. He wrapped his hands around Olivia's neck and stood up, shaking her hard screaming, "Don't ever do that again!"
Amanda ducked down behind the desk again, not wanting Elliot to see her before she got a shot.
Olivia tried wrenching herself from his grasp, but he was stronger. He shook her until she was sure she was going to pass out, until he rammed her into her own desk and pushed her backwards halfway onto it.
She reached up to grab anything she could from her desk. She tried to hit Elliot over the head with her travel mug, but before she could, he grabbed her wrist and squeezed it as hard as he could. She heard something snap and screamed out in pain.
"What did I say about screaming?" He roared. He lifted Olivia off the desk and launched her across the room, colliding with Fin's desk. He walked over to her and pulled her up again. "I'm not going to ask you again, let's go." Amanda looked up again and saw Elliot dragging Olivia by an arm toward the back door, she wasn't fighting back anymore.
Amanda drew in a breath and stood up shouting, "Police! Do not move!" Elliot spun around and pointed the gun to Olivia's head. "Let her go, now!" Amanda yelled, stepping around the desk.
