Happy jumped up at the chance to grab the piece of paper. He read off the list almost as if the choice he made was life or death. He poked the paper, assumedly the number of the choice he made, and handed the paper to Tony.
He then proudly walked out of the room, looking almost like a proper gentleman. He was way too happy.
He waltzed up to the elevator with a happy smile. Though when he walked in, he had no such smile on his face. All emotion was swept off of his face, and he walked straight to the side of the elevator pressing a random button for the elevator to go to. When it arrived on the next floor a man entered the room with another man the same age. Both of which, were most likely almost ten years older than the teen.
They pressed a button to go to, not minding Happy at all. As they did that, Happy casually strolled next to one of the men and began grinning at him until the man looked at him. At first the man tried ignoring him, but when they were almost at their floor, both men curiously looking at Happy waiting for him to say something.
Just moments before the door would open Happy spoke. "I have new socks on!"
One of them chuckled, but the other rolled his eyes as he grumbled something about idiotic teens. With that the two left the elevator one trying to lighten the other's mood.
Happy did that to a few others before deciding that it was time for his turn to end.
"Number 10: Stare grinning at another passenger for a while, then announce: "I have new socks on."
Done.
…
Happy pouted as he entered the room. "That wasn't as fun as I thought it would be."
The other three found no words of consolation for the muscular teen, but instead Tony just patted his shoulder as he walked out the door, having already chosen what he was going to do for his turn. It was simple and easy, and just what he wanted.
He stepped into the elevator acting as if he had a purpose and a place to go. He casually pressed a button to go to the ground level and just as he had someone came running into the elevator.
"Phew! Just made it!" The woman said, her hair looking as if she'd just run through a forest. It was sticking up in all sorts of directions.
He looked over at her and gave her a small smile and gave his best bellboy act. "Hello, may I ask which floor you would like to go to?"
She gave him a smile, still looking disoriented. "First floor please."
As he pressed the button, he glared and shook his head. "You should be ashamed of yourself."
"Wha-!"
Lucky for him, before she could very much reply the elevator opened on the next floor inviting two kids to go into the elevator. He just left the elevator tutting.
"Number 32: In your bellboy act, ask what floor they want. Whatever they say, give them a glare and say "you should be ashamed of yourself!", and leave the lift tutting."
Done.
…
He decided he didn't really want to prolong it, so he just returned back to the hotel room as if nothing had happened. They laughed when he got back, but it was over soon enough when Pepper had walked out of the room with what she had chosen.
She stepped into the elevator soon later trying not to get too excited to see everyone's reaction. It was hard though, because when she stepped in there was about three others in the elevator, two of which were sopping wet.
She waited patiently, but not too patiently. Then just suddenly, she winced as if she was in pain and start smacking her forehead. She then began muttering, "Shut up, all of you just SHUT UP!"
A boy around her age stepped away from her cautiously while the girl next to him laughed. Most likely not in a friendly way, but Pepper ignored it. The third person though, looked as if he was holding in his laughter as he held an arm out towards her.
"Are you alright?"
He was older than her, but he seemed nervous to be talking to her. She figured he was just shy.
She nodded, acting embarrassed. "Yeah, sorry…"
He shrugged. "That's alright, I do it all the time."
She nodded suddenly becoming very aware of how close the man was coming to her.
"So," He started, rocking on his heels. "D-do you have lunch free…?"
The door opened then and she instantly slipped out, giving the man an apologetic look, which was actually fake. "Sorry, I have a date with my boyfriend…"
The doors shut before the man could give a response, but she didn't fail to notice the glare the man had given her and his whole 'shy' façade fall before the door had dropped completely.
She didn't wait to head back to the room, using the stairs as she was at it.
"Number 25: Grimace painfully while smacking your forehead and muttering: "Shut up, all of you just shut UP!"
Done.
…
Pepper sighed as she sat down on one of the beds in the hotel room. Tony didn't hesitate to join her. He sat down next to her, rubbing her shoulders. Of course he was mad about someone trying to steal his girl. In fact, he made sure she knew how upset he was and everyone else in the room, but he knew he had no place to be mad at her. So he settled with letting her know that he knew that he was pissed with that man from the elevator.
Rhodey decided to give the two as much privacy as he could considering that Happy was still in the room, and left to go do his turn.
Moments later, he was in the elevator. He recognized the girl who had tried flirting with Tony and this other man who had went into the elevator with Happy not too long ago. Good thing the third and the fourth person weren't the same.
He stood in there for a bit, waiting for the right moment. The right moment came seconds later when the woman—the other woman, meaning not the woman who flirted with Tony—looked at him.
Instantly he screamed, "I swear! I only meant to knock him out for a little bit!"
Every single one of them backed away, giving him a worried look. Before he knew what happened one of them tackled him to the ground.
"What did you say?" The brave man shouted. "You killed him?"
Keeping his act up, he responded. "I'm sorry! He was unconscious longer than I thought he would be!"
The man sighed and stood up. "I'm sorry, I jumped to conclusions."
"So, you didn't kill him?" The woman who looked at him said cautiously.
That was when he dropped his act. "No I didn't. He was just unconscious."
Everyone—that wasn't the girl who tried to flirt with Tony—sighed in relief. Though when the elevator door opened again everyone except said girl left the elevator. When the doors closed, he was left alone with the girl.
She stepped closer. She was wearing the sameswim suit Rhodey saw her in when she was with Tony. "Hey, you're almost as hot as that other guy…"
Luckily for him the door opened. He left with a shake of his head and a shudder. He was not liking the girl.
"Number 38: If someone looks at you, scream, "I swear! I only meant to knock him out for a little bit!"
Done.
…
They were all laughing when he returned, though Pepper was silently fuming to herself. Tony tried to comfort the redhead and it eventually worked when he said that if he saw her again, he'd give her a piece of his mind if she even tried talking to him. Even if it meant spraying the girl with some spray on butter that wasn't even butter. Why Pepper had it in her bag, was a mystery.
"I guess that's it for now." Tony said, pocketing the spray butter.
"Lunch?" Rhodey suggested.
"Pool?" Pepper offered.
"Pool!" Cheered Happy. "Then we can get lunch…Than more elevator!"
"Sounds like a plan." Tony said.
They all took turns changing in the bathroom, except for Happy who changed in one of the extra rooms. Soon they were all clothed in a swimsuit, a towel and money for food.
Pepper tugged at the strap of her swimsuit. "I need a new swimsuit."
"I think you look great." Tony said walking up next to her.
She wore a simple solid red one piece swimsuit that showed a generous amount of her back. The color matched Tony's, which was red itself.
She rolled her eyes. "You're just saying that because you're my boyfriend, aren't you?"
"No!" He defended himself. "I'm being honest! You look beautiful in that swimsuit, Pep."
"Whatever you say, Tony."
"Wha-?"
"You coming, Lovebirds?" Rhodey interrupted.
They made their way to the pool that was filled with people, but they managed to find a table in the back corner of the upper floor of the pool. They set down towels and hid the money in one of their shoes.
Pepper instantly dragged Tony to the lazy river that flowed slowly in circles. They got a double tube and laid in it as it drifted naturally around the lazy river. Tony laughing as he was able to intentionally put Pepper under the sprays of water coming from tunnels or walls. Though she always got her revenge. Especially when she used her quick speed to her advantage to flip the tube with Tony still on top of it.
Rhodey had begun to follow the couple, but Rhodey ended up being pushed by none other than Happy into the deep end of the pool. Happy then jumped in, annoying a few others nearby as he splashed water everywhere.
It was so much fun, that they lost track of time. It was almost three hours later that they remembered that they still needed lunch. So they dried off and took showers. After that, the time showed that it was actually about time for dinner so they went to a small diner on the ground level for food.
The sky was dark and so was the unlit room by the time they got back to relax. Pepper and Tony both lay sideways on the bed that they claimed. Happy had the other bed and in the extra room was where Rhodey had ended up, for he didn't want to sleep on the same bed as Happy and would rather sleep on the smaller bed than do so.
"Elevator time!" Happy shouted from his bed.
Rhodey sat nearby on the same bed as he surfed the TV for a good show. He groaned. "It's too late!"
The other two voiced back their agreements. Happy pouted. "Fine. We'll do more first thing in the morning."
"After breakfast." Pepper said.
Happy groaned. "Fine, after breakfast!"
Tony shifted his position on the bed so he was burying his face into the pillow. "Ugh…I'm stho thired…"
Pepper laughed while the other two tried to figure out what it was the teen had said. "Me too. You've got the right idea."
She laid down on the other side of the bed and snuggled into her pillow. Though, she was very conscious of the proximity of herself and Tony, she tried her best to control how fast her heartbeat was moving.
"Well, I'm going to go to sleep too then." Rhodey said, ditching his effort in finding something on TV.
Happy sat moping on his bed. "I'll just turn this off then…" He glanced over at the two in the other bed. "Does anyone want to go to the vending machines with…?"
"Night, Happy." Tony mumbled from where he lay.
"Night." Happy responded dejectedly.
Can't believe it's been so long! So, for the long wait, was it good? In the next chapter I should be getting to the good ones! At least in my opinion! I didn't say anything above the story other than the disclaimer because I want to have a more uniform looking format (if that makes any sense). Leave the rambling to end notes...
Fun Fact: I really enjoy long car rides, then I can sit and imagine different stories I could write or make up little movies of different fandoms in my head.
I was wondering what you guys would think if I gave all of you wonderful readers a nickname! How about it? Share your ideas of what you want to be called and what could work well! It would be fun right?
Hugs and Love, SilverPedals!
