Here we go! Alright, two stories in one day! I apologize to those who were waiting for this chapter. I know I said I would get it out soon before. Sorries! Anyways, lets get on with the story.

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha. I only own any characters and places I make up.

Chapter 7: Relief

Sesshomaru walked steadily out of the village and away from the two women who had turned him away without a second glance. Where should he head now? Where was there to turn? Was he to just give up? No. he would figure this out. There had to be some explanation. As he left the village, he walked until he could no longer sense anything that would be a bother or an annoyance to him.

Finding a nearby stream, he knelt down and washed off his face. Perhaps Totosai might have known what was happening, but he was gone. Who else was there? Perhaps some of his father's old friends could help? It was unlikely they would speak with him or they might just think he had lost it when he spoke of what was troubling him and then they might find him unfit to rule over the area. He did not need the incontinence of others testing his power or challenging him for the lands.

Sesshomaru stood as he started walking back towards where he had left Rin and where the rest of the group that normally followed him should have been waiting. Perhaps, the only way he was to find out what was going on was to look into it himself. Though he did not like the idea, it seemed as though he was going to be given no choice. As he made his way back, he used the time to debate his next move and figure out just how to go about this as it would not be easy. How would he figure out where the smell was coming from? How would he lure his problem out of there? Perhaps, it would be easier once he arrived back there. After all, things did work out in his favor every so often.

At least now, he was not being held back. He could walk and do as he pleased, though his companions were not too much of as hassle as there chatter was not unwelcomed. Now, everything seemed quiet. There was nothing near him. It was not a horrible thing, but something to kill might not have been a bad idea. After all, it would have been a bit of a relief and a reminder that he had no worries when it came to being challenged.

A little while longer, he stopped at a clearing. Having made his decision, it was time for him to head back. Taking to the skies he started back for the priestess's hut, watching all the way for something to pawn off his anger on. May the gods have mercy on whomever or whatever Lord Sesshomaru found to relieve his stress and remind himself of his strength.

Thanks for reading. I hope you liked it. Reviews are always welcomed, and loved. It's always wonderful to hear that people are reading my stories. Also, sorry for the short chapter. I will try and make the next one longer.
