Sorry this chapter is late. It just took me forever to figure out what to do with the next chapter. I figured it out though I hope you like it.

Chapter 7
That day was one of the weirdest days of Lucie's life thus far, which was saying something. The other days included in her weirdest day's list were when she first discovered she could freeze things and the day she found out that her dad wasn't her birth dad (he was totally her real dad though) and the day she realized she could make illusions, sort of, and the day she figured out the Peter was Spiderman. She didn't include the time she found her 'magical' bracelet things, because she figured out that they enhanced her powers over the course of several weeks. Lucie's definition of a weird day was a day that something unique occurred that was in some way enlightening. The more unique the event was the weirder it was, but if it wasn't enlightening in some way it was just strange. That was roughly how she denoted weird days anyway. It's not a perfect definition but close enough.
Weird days, though, well, weird, were not necessarily by definition annoying. However this day was definitely annoying. Maybe that was because her family would not stop FREAKING OUT!
They were all sitting or standing in some living room type room in Professor Xavier. She felt somewhat abandoned by Peter who had gone to who knows where. He had lucked out, despite what he thought. His Aunt May had kind of already figure it and as annoyed as he had been at least he did have to deal with this.
"I got so worried when you kept not answering your phone…" "Why didn't you tell us about this before now?" "This is so cool." "How did we not notice?" "What's going on?" "Why did you do this?" "You are okay aren't you?" "I cannot believe you've been the Frozen Lily." "How did you do that?" And on and on and on, till Lucie felt like she was going to explode. It was great that they did hate her or were just terrified of her, but she wasn't sure this kind of freaking out was any better. To make matters worse for some unexplainable reason her entire family had come. Didn't Thomas and Steven still have school? And why couldn't they stop asking all of those pointless questions?!
"Oh my gosh! Be Quiet!" she exclaimed at last. "I can't answer any questions if you don't let me talk!" Well that got the attention of her family, and they finally stopped talking. Good riddance. Lucie took a deep breath before continuing. "First of all, I am perfectly fine now. I'm pretty sure the professor already told you that, so please stop asking. Second of all, I didn't tell you because you guys obviously have a tendency to… to over react!"
"Over react?" Her mom exclaimed. "We're just worried about you. Why didn't you tell us about this before? We could have helped you."
"I already told you why I didn't tell you," Lucie said. "You guys would have just freaked out like you're doing right now. Obviously I was doing fine with my powers since I've had them to some degree for years and no one figured it out."
Her siblings thought this was the coolest thing ever. For one their sister was best friends with Spiderman. Rebecca was elastic because Lucie was just like Elsa. That was the thing with little kids they tended not to freak out so much when incredible things happened. Were superheroes such a stretch from say a guy who visits every single house in one night via sled pulled by flying reindeer? Not really.
However her parents were making her really want to bang her head against the wall or the table. She understood, she really did, that most people had no idea what to do with people with powers, but come on. She seriously wanted this conversation to be over. She'd rather be stuck back in that hospital like room than deal with this. Well… maybe not. And to make matters worse no one would tell her what happened after she blacked out, once they realized she didn't know.
In the end, parents told her that they thought it would be best if she stayed at this place for at least the summer.
"We just need time to adjust," her mom said. "Besides you can learn how to control your powers more here." Lucie rolled her eyes. Since when did she need to control her powers. Though she wasn't terribly opposed to the idea of hanging out with people who also had powers.
Before Lucie could respond, though she heard a small "yes" from the other side of the door.
"Jean?" Lucie asked. The door opened and Jean walked in.
"I knew it, I knew it, I knew it," Jean said, grabbing Lucie's hand. "Come on. You can share a room with me for now." Jean suddenly realized that she had completely interrupted their conversation. "You are done talking, right?"
"Yes," Lucie said, before anyone else could say something. She didn't mean to be rude, but she seriously needed to give her mind a break from all of this. "Come on let's see this room of yours." She waved goodbye and left with Jean.
"Well, that went surprisingly well," Jean said as she led Lucie down to her room. Lucie gave her a weird look. "I mean ice anything or something like that. Though you did lower the temperature of the room significantly."
"Did I really?" Jean shrugged. "Well, I do have some experience with controlling my powers, so that's probably why. But generally I don't lower the temperature of rooms. I just wish someone would tell me what happened yesterday."
The redhead sighed. "I'm not supposed to. The Professor doesn't want you freaking out over it."
"I'm already freaking out over it. I don't see what the big deal is. He already said that everyone is fine. I'm sorry I just like knowing things."
… Page Break …
Later that day Lucie was putting her stuff, which her family had brought over for her, away. Jean had left to go do something. The situation was temporary and Lucie and Jean would only be sharing rooms for a week or two while they figure out Lucie's room. Lucie didn't have all her stuff either, but figured she might as well get settled in for now.
She was trying to remember the exact words to a quote from a book that her parents had failed to bring over, when she noticed Jean's tablet which was on and unlocked. She walked over and opened the internet figuring she could probably find it online. She didn't get that far though, because the first thing she noticed was one of the news articles that randomly pop up on the homepage.
She gasped and dropped the tablet. Well, now she knew why they were worried she'd freak out.
Oh yes. What did happen? Review and you may find out sooner. Guesswho, thank you for reviewing.
