After a few days, Neal calmed down and actually felt guilty for snapping at Mozzie like that. The Panthars wanted to steal over a billion dollars from the government. Once it's done, they will be put in jail. The more Neal thought about it…the more he was fearful for his friends and family. Just because the Panthers are in jail, doesn't mean they can't cause chaos. He had to do something.

Mozzie knocked on the door. "Hey. Thanks for coming."

Mozzie folded his arms and walked into the apartment. "Well, it's good to know I'm still allowed inside this apartment."

Neal sighed. "I probably deserved that. I am sorry I said that to you. But you have to understand that my family's safety comes first. That includes you."

Mozzie softened. "Okay. Water under the bridge. Now…can you also tell me why you haven't invited me into the Panthers, but you invited the suit?"

Neal smiled mischievously. "Because I was waiting for the right moment to bring you in."

Mozzie looked at him, intrigued.

Later that week, Neal paid Blaine a visit at his apartment. He told him everything.

"So, you're one step closer to getting your freedom." Blaine smiled. "That mean we can finally go on that Europe trip?"

Neal chuckled and shoved him playfully. "Only if you behave."

Blaine laughed. "Okay, okay. Sorry."

"I'm really proud of you." Neal said softly. "You're going to college…getting married…looks like you'll have a family before I do."

"Hey, don't say that." Blaine replied. "What about that girl you almost got engaged to? Sara, was it?"

"Ah, she's ancient history." Neal waved his hand. "Besides…I hear French women will take very good care of you." They both laughed.

"Well, it's getting too close to college to travel, so…guess I'll have to go on my winter break."

"That'd be fun." Neal smiled. He sighed and stood up. It was killing him that he couldn't tell his brother that he won't be able to visit. He pulled Blaine into a tight hug. "I love you, baby brother."

Blaine hugged back. "I love you, too."

"Hey, did someone get good news?" They pulled apart to see Kurt walking in, holding shopping bags.

"Well, Neal's one step closer to his freedom." Blaine announced. "Want me to carry those to our room?"

"Oh, could you?" Kurt held out the bags.

"Sure." Blaine took the bags. "See you soon, big brother."

"See you." Neal replied.

Kurt looked at Neal, slightly concerned. "You know for someone who's about to get his freedom, you don't seem too happy."

Neal smiled. "Just take care of my brother." He left without a word.

Kurt just stared after him. "Okay, what the hell just happened?"

"You are so lucky."

Rachel and Blaine sat at their dining room table eating dinner. Kurt was at Vogue. Blaine just told Rachel about his Europe trip.

Blaine smiled. "I feel lucky. I'm just really happy for Neal. He really earned his freedom."

"I still can't believe your brother was a con artist." Rachel shook her head and chuckled. "He even had Sue Sylvester fooled."

Blaine nodded. "Yeah, but, that's in the past. He's a new person now."

"That's good. So, what are his friends like?"

"Well, Agent Burke and his wife have been like an older brother and sister to him. His landlady- June- is like a mother to him, and…then there's Mozzie." Blaine replied. "He's even more paranoid and conspiratorial than Sam and Brittany put together." His phone rang. "Oh. Speak of the paranoid devil." He answered. "Hey, Mozzie. What's up?"

"It's Neal. He's dead!" Mozzie said frantically.

Blaine went numb. "W-what?"

"He was shot by Keller earlier-"

"No! This…this is a trick. Or another one of your conspiracy theories." Blaine responded, his voice shaking. Rachel looked at him in concern.

"I never make conspiracy theories about my friend's deaths." Mozzie said simply. "I have to go. Meet me at the morgue."

Blaine let his phone drop to the table. His mouth was dry and he lost all feeling in his body. Rachel was worried now. "Blaine? What is it?"

"It's…Neal. He's…he's dead." Blaine choked out.

Rachel gasped and a hand flew to her mouth. Her eyes welled up with tears. "Oh my God….wait- you-you-you said that that friend of yours is super paranoid right? This could be a mistake."

"You didn't hear his voice. He wasn't lying." Blaine replied.

"Okay, no. We need to find out if it's real or not." Rachel stated. Blaine's phone rang. He didn't move to answer it. He didn't want to believe that Neal is gone…forever. Rachel cleared her throat and answered Blaine's phone. "Blaine's cell phone."

"Hi, this is Agent Peter Burke. I'm trying to reach Blaine. Is he around?"

"Yeah. This is his friend Rachel." Rachel replied. She glanced at Blaine, who still looked in shock. "Agent Burke, his friend called a couple of minutes ago and told him that Neal is dead. Is…is that true?"

Peter sighed. "I'm afraid so. Listen, we, uh…we need Blaine to claim the body since he's family. Could you have him meet me at the morgue at Mount Sinai Roosevelt on 52nd?"

"Yeah." Rachel cleared her throat and nodded. "Yeah. Uh, I will definitely tell him. Thanks." She hung up, stood up, and squeezed Blaine's shoulder. "Blaine…we need to go to the morgue. Come on." Blaine let her help him up. "I'll call Kurt." Rachel took Blaine's hand and pulled him out the door and called Vogue. "Yes, this is Rachel Berry. I need to talk to Kurt Hummel."

"He's in a meeting." The receptionist replied.

"Can you tell him this is an emergency? It's about his fiancé." Rachel said. They approached the elevator. "Tell him to meet me at the morgue at Mount Sinai Roosevelt on 52nd."

Blaine was silent for the entire journey. Rachel texted Carole to tell her to let Blaine and Neal's parents know. Once at the morgue, they walked down a long, dimly lit hallway. Peter and Mozzie were there. They sat for what seemed like hours until they heard running footsteps. Rachel looked up to see Kurt looking worried and near tears. He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw Blaine.

"It's Neal. He's dead." Rachel announced.

Kurt swallowed back tears and sat next to Blaine. "Blaine…baby…" He squeezed his hand and hugged his shoulders. The mortician came out, and they all stood up.

"Would you like to see him, now?" He asked. Everyone except Rachel walked into the room. The mortician unzipped the body bag revealing Neal's body inside.

Blaine shakily covered his mouth to muffle his sobs, and collapsed in Kurt's arms. Kurt hugged Blaine tight. They ignored Mozzie ranting about something about Neal faking his death until Peter yelled at him to stop.

Blaine claimed Neal's personal effects. His parents called him to let him know they were coming to New York. Once at the loft, Blaine full on sobbed in Kurt's arms. His brother was gone…forever.
