Sorry for the late update, even if it's not as late as the last one. I've been experiencing writer's block lately. I'll try to get the next chapter up soon. I already have a plan for how I want it to go.

This is set directly after the last chapter.

Disclaimer: I'm not nearly creative enough to own DC comics, Justice League, or Justice League Unlimited. I'm, sadly, just a fan.

Bart's POV

The two boys spent a good two hours sitting at the table talking. They both had finished eating a while earlier, and though Bart didn't eat as much as a speedster probably should, Tim didn't comment on it.

That is, until Bart's sleeve accidently rolled up to reveal a bruise that appeared to be nine days old, if his hyper friend didn't have an accelerated healing factor.

Tim quickly grabbed the appendage and asked, "What's this?"

The other boy cast his gaze to the side. "Nothing! Why would youthinkit's something?"

"Because you haven't been out on the streets yet, and considering this hasn't healed already, the hit was much harder than your dad would've thrown during your training." When Bart didn't respond, Tim asked in a quiet voice, "Is someone bullying you, Bart?" Said boy just shrugged.

Tim sighed. A quiet Bart was unsettling. He would decide what to do with this new information later.

Mystery Person's POV

She should've listened to mother and stayed home, but nnnoooo. She wanted to prove that she was brave. She wanted to prove herself worthy of her powers. She wanted to be a hero!

That ambition led her to the idea that uncovering some evil plot from Cadmus Labs was a smart way to get the Justice League's attention, but now, looking at the computer screen that she found after she snuck in, which, admittedly, meant knocking out most of the security guards and scientists, she was considering the chance that this was a very bad idea, and decided that she was in over her head as she read the title and the contents of the file she was looking at.

PROJECT FLASH FOREVER

Name: Project Flash Forever (FF)

Purpose: To create a replica of the Flash able to destroy and replace the Meta if need be

D.N.A. Sample – Flash (Wallace Rudolf West (WRW)

Sample Received – Taken from a hair sample found at the site of defeat after the android known as Amazo attacked, believed to have fallen off the suit while WRW was knocked to the ground

Status:

Week One: The sample provided enough genetic material to successfully clone a fetus of WRW. Said fetus has been placed in a tube holding a similar environment to that of a uterus. Chemicals are being thrice every twenty-four hours in order to accelerate the nine month incubation period. Apparent age is of that at conception.

Week Two: The growth rate of the fetus is more hurried than previously expected. FF is scheduled to be transferred to a container for accelerated growth after birth in five days. Apparent age is of that at four months into a natural pregnancy.

Week Three: FF was transported with some difficulty. It has been hypothesized that this will create physical differences from WRW. Alterations are predicted to be minor, such as hair or eye color. Project is to continue without pause. Apparent age is of that at birth.

Week Four: Growth rate of FF is still moving more quickly than planned. Further finding show this to be the work of an over-active metabolism, possibly caused by the chemicals for rapid growth. Solution is being investigated, and the chemical distribution has ceased until one is found. Apparent age is of that at two years of life.

Week Five: Solution was found. Metabolism is still faster than a normal human's, but the aging factor of FF is at a normal pace. The chemicals for accelerated aging are to be distributer to FF for ten minutes once every day to put the experiment at the stage that was planned for at this time. Apparent age is of that at four years of life.

Week Six: FF shows severely dissimilar brain activity than what is on record for WRW. Earlier complications during transport are the predicted cause of this. The project has been cancelled. The chemicals for accelerated growth have ceased to be given. FF will be kept alive and functioning until a proper method of disposal is decided upon. Final apparent age is that of at six years of life.

This was bad! Majorly bad! They were going to kill a CHILD! Okay, perhaps there was a more pressing matter in the fact that a JLA member was cloned, but really!

Calm down! What can I do? Do I tell someone? Well, I have to. I can't just let them killed a kid. So, the question now is, who do I tell?

After a moment of thought, she ran as fast as she could out of the base. She then took to the sky, flying in the direction of the one place where, hopefully, she would be listened to.

Wally's POV

Wally had never imagined that picking his son up would be so hard. Sure, he knew that he himself had acted the same way, but he still wasn't prepared to have the younger speedster hugging him and pleading to stay at his friend's house. He looked towards Bruce for help only to see the man with a nostalgic smile on his face. (Huh. Never thought I'd use that term.) Tim, to his credit, was trying to placate his friend, but was making no progress.

"C'mon Bart," Wally said, "We have to go. You have to go back to school Monday, remember?"

Tim suddenly looked at the red head and then at his downcast son. He seemed to be thinking something over. After a few seconds, the boy sighed and said goodbye to the speedsters.

-LINE BREAK-

As soon as the pair arrived at their home, they, quite predictably, headed for the kitchen.

"Bruce is sure that it'll work," stated the redhead to his son after eating his eighth chicken sandwich. "He got the general design from an alternate dimension the League already went to. He said he just needs to figure out how to create a tear big enough to fit a fully grown adult through."

It was quite a shock for Wally to discover that Bart had a deep love for machines. The boy had said he wanted to build a time machine someday. He claimed he wanted to see what heroes were like in the thirtieth century.

Wally felt he should encourage the child. He never wanted Bart to feel like he did when his father laughed at his dreams to become a hero and a scientist.

Said dreamer looked thoughtful for a few seconds in subjective time then asked, "Do you think he wouldletme help?"

"If you ask him. Maybe. Probably not. But he might. You know, if he's in a really, really, really good mood. Better have Tim butter him up first," Wally replied with a smile.

TBA…

So, what are your thoughts on the chapter? Can you guess who the mystery person is? Did you get my little piece of comic book irony? What do you think is going to happen?

Please review. Suggestions are always taken into consideration.
