And alas, we've come to the last chapter. :( I didn't want to continue writing this story with mediocre ideas. So I thought I'd end it while its still decent writing. This is about how long I originally planned on making it.

I plan on finishing up New York Bound, then I've got some pretty good ideas in my head for another story after that. Thanks for all the reviews/favs/follows on this story, I had such a blast writing this. :) It means so much that this story has been read by such awesome readers. Don't forget to look for more stories to come! Remember: Reviews are love! :D

Finn woke up with a horrible headache. The crying was probably what did him in. He dragged his heavy feet to the guest bathroom where he looked at himself in the mirror. Wow, he looked like shit. His hair was even messier than normal, his eyes were bloodshot, and his clothes were still slightly damp and all ruffled. He took a swig of the mouthwash sitting on the counter. He swished it around for a few moments before spitting it into the sink and splashing his face with some water, shivering at how cold it was.

His head was still thumping as he held it in his hands and walked out into Blaine's living room. Blaine himself was dressed in dark jeans rolled up at the ends (He never fully understood Blaine's style), and a black sweater with white rims. And of course his signature bowtie, this time pure white. His face though, is what caught Finn's attention.

He was sitting at his counter, nursing a hot cup of coffee with the saddest puppy dog eyes he'd ever seen, and a tear streaked face. "Blaine what's wrong?" Finn asked concerned. Blaine looked up from his coffee and wiped his eyes.

"Nothing." He answered too quickly. Finn gave him an incredulous look.

"C'mon Blaine. We're friends. You know you can tell me anything." Finn said, sitting next to Blaine at the counter.

"Kurt called this morning. Asking if I'd seen you." Blaine started.

"And what did you say?" Finn asked nervously.

"I told him you came to me last night and needed a place to stay. He got pissed of course. Saying I was lying to him and not telling him you were with me while Carole freaked out, thinking something happened to you." Blaine said.

"Oh man I'm sorry Blaine. Had I known coming here would make Kurt mad at you, I would'nt have come." Finn told him. He really did feel bad.

"No, I'm glad you trust me enough. Kurt's just being way out of line. That's not fair, you needed help. I'm not gonna feel bad about that. Besides that's not what he got really mad about," Blaine said, gulping slightly as if trying to hold back tears, "I told him I was going to go see my parents for the holidays. He said he felt like I was betraying him by going to see people who hate him and hate our relationship. By people that don't let me be who I am. And that's something he's always stood for. He said that a cause as important as that has to be something the person he's with values greatly, especially given everything he's been through. And apparently I don't support that right now. So he b-broke up with me." Blaine choked out.

He cried and Finn wrapped his arm around Blaine, letting the smaller man sob into his shoulder. Ah, so it looked like this week definitely wasn't the week for couples and love was it? They were both like sobbing little babies now. Though he had to admit, the end of Kurt and Blaine's relationship was quite a shock. Their relationship always seemed pretty perfect. It was weird that it was over. They'd been together since his sophomore year of high school. He let Blaine cry on him for god only knows how long. But he was just returning the favor. Blaine let Finn cry all over his shoulder last night.

It had to have been at least an hour when Blaine pulled himself off of Finn's shoulder. Both of them had stiff limbs as they stood up. Blaine wiped his eyes again and placed his cup in the sink. "Thanks for letting me weep all over you." Blaine have a watery chuckle and managed a smile.

"Just repaying the favor." Finn smiled. "But in all seriousness, whatever happens in the present, I know you and Kurt will back together in the future. And if it means anything, I think you guys are soulmates." Finn smiled back. Blaine looked at Finn like he'd given him a million dollar mansion.

"It means a lot." Blaine told him quietly. They shared a small smile and that was that. The conversation about their fucked up love lives was thus dropped.

"So are you taking the train home or are you flying out there?" Finn asked as he poured himself a cup of coffee.

"I'm taking the train. I'm always afraid of the plane crashing. Ever since I watched Final Destination, I feel like the plane will blow up and I'll get sucked out of the plane before falling to my death on the concrete below me." Blaine shuddered. Finn raised an eyebrow at him and held back a chuckle.

"What? I'm serious." Blaine told Finn, punching his arm as Finn let out a few laughs.

"Okay fine. I guess we all have our weird fears." Finn put his arms up in mock defeat. He poured more than enough creamer into his coffee, something Kurt always found really annoying. Blaine didn't seem to mind his excessive use of creamer though.

"That is the truth. Now please tell me you're going to shower in preparation to go make some amends. I know you're a little reluctant because of how they may react but you have to. K-Kurt loves you and I'm sure he misses you. You two have been at odds for a while now from what I've heard." Blaine said knowingly. Man, how was he so smart about this stuff?

"Yeah I know, I miss him too. I'll leave when you leave. That way you can lock up after. Is there a way I can clean my clothes? They kind of smell." Finn chuckled.

"Yeah I have my washer and dryer by the bathroom in the hall. It's one of those jointed ones they recommend for apartments. Then you can borrow some of my looser fitting sweatpants or something." Blaine answered.

"Thanks man. I'm gonna go hop in the shower." Finn said, abandoning his cup of coffee and heading to the guest bathroom.

"I'll get you the sweatpants." Blaine added, jogging to his bedroom and pulling a pair of sweatpants out his dresser drawer. "Here. They might be a little snug, but they'll work. I'll put your clothes in the wash." Blaine smiled. He seemed to be in better spirits after their crying fest.

"Sweet thanks." Finn smiled back. Blaine nodded his head and waited outside the bathroom until Finn handed his clothes to Blaine. Blaine turned on his heel and walked down the hall to the washer. Finn shut the bathroom door and flicked the shower knobs on. He dropped the towel and stepped into the stream of warm water, letting it run down his chest and wash off all the grime.

He had to admit, after a good nights sleep, he was feeling a little better, The shower was almost liberating. And he was determined this time to not drink his problems away. He learned from that crappy mistake. Even if it seemed a little tempting. No no no, he couldn't think like that. It was almost Christmas, it was supposed to be a happy time. And that meant being with family. He wished more than anything he'd never agreed to help Quinn though. That way Rachel would still want to be with him and his brother wouldn't think he was some monster.

Hopefully Kurt would forgive him. He wasn't so sure about Rachel. And he hoped to god Santana wasn't at the apartment when he went to apologize to Rachel. The look she gave him last night was one of pure hatred. Not that he could blame her. He promised not to hurt Rachel and what does he do? He lies to her about his ex girlfriend of six years and ends up hurting her.

He was in the shower for about half an hour before he felt sufficiently clean. He stepped out and shivered before pulling the towel over his naked body. He quickly dried his legs and pulled the sweatpants on. He still kept the towel over his chest. He and Blaine were really good friends, but Blaine was still into men and he didn't want some awkward tension going on.

When he came into the living room, Blaine was watching some movie on TV, his suitcase and tote bag near the door. "Hey sorry I took so long in there. That shower felt really good." Finn told him.

"It's no problem, your clothes are almost done." Blaine answered.

"Sweet. I'll go quickly do my hair." Finn scurried off to the bathroom and just ran a hand through his wet hair, not wanting to use Blaine's comb. He took his time drying off and a few minutes later the timer on his clothes went off.

His clothes were warm and really soft when he slipped them on. The grey sweater he wore was all fuzzy and his jeans felt soothing against his legs. He walked back to the living all spruced and Blaine had also put on his winter jacket and scarf, and was waiting by the door. "Ready to go?" Blaine asked, wrapping his scarf around his neck.

"Yep." Finn smiled. "Thanks by the way. For letting me stay here and use your shower. It means a lot that you were here for me when I really needed someone." Finn said. Blaine grinned.

"Hey, we were here for each other. Hug?" Blaine asked smiling and holding out his arms. Finn chuckled before lifting his own arms and pulling Blaine in for a bro hug. He pat Blaine on the back before releasing him. "Now lets go." Blaine said grabbing his luggage and allowing Finn to leave first. Blaine locked the door and they walked downstairs.

"Well I guess I'll see you later?" Blaine asked unsure, he was Kurt's brother after all.

"Absolutely. Text me when you get back to New York. We need to hang out more." Finn nodded immediately. Blaine looked relieved that Finn wasn't going to shut him out after this.

"Will do." Blaine gave him another one armed hug and got into his cab, waving as it drove away. Blaine had to take a subway down to the train station while Finn was just going to take a taxi back to his apartment. Now that he didn't have Blaine to lean on and talk to, he felt a little more scared. Then he realized he hadn't checked his phone since before the fight last night.

He hit the button to see twelve missed calls. Two from Kurt, three from Burt's cell phone, five from his mothers cell phone, and two from the apartment phone. He was disappointed to see nothing from Rachel. He told the driver where to go and spent the entire ride freaking out internally. He always sucked at apologizing.

He climbed the stairs to the apartment and knocked. He heard a few voices from behind the door. Finally his mom whipped open the door and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Oh Finn I was so worried! I thought you'd been killed. Then Kurt told me this morning that you were staying at Blaine's. Why would you worry us like that?!" Carole cried, smacking him hard while still holding onto him. Burt was seated at the counter and Kurt was nowhere to be found.

"Where is Kurt?" He asked once Carole had released her death grip on him.

"He went over to Rachel's this morning. Now why in the hell didn't you answer any of our calls last night? Or this morning?" Carole asked. She never cursed so she must've meant business. But why did Kurt go to Rachel's? Were they over there talking about him? Or about their relationships?

"Answer me young man." Carole said sternly, breaking Finn out of his thoughts.

"I don't know. I was feeling emotional last night. I didn't feel like talking to anyone except for Blaine. I didn't know whether you guys were mad at me. I was embarrassed about how I handled things." Finn said frustratedly.

"We weren't mad. Well, maybe we were a little bit when we heard you shoved Kurt and lied to your new girlfriend. But when Kurt told us your situation, we just wanted to help and make you feel better. We wanted you safe." Carole said while Burt nodded behind her.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know what to do. I was ashamed. I assume Kurt told you everything that happened?" Finn asked.

"Yeah he did honey. Why didn't you tell us Quinn was pregnant?" Carole asked supportively. She lost her more aggresive tone as she asked this question.

"I guess I didn't want to betray Quinn's privacy. I thought that maybe if I helped her with telling Puck and Jake, we could be on our way to moving on with our lives and I wouldn't have to deal with her anymore. I didn't even think about what it would do to my relationship with Rachel. I guess I still have some things to learn about trust huh?" Finn said.

"I'm sure Rachel will forgive you eventually. If you truly want to have a relationship with her in the future, you'll give her time. I'm sure she's feeling confused about your own feelings concerning Quinn." Carole said, patting him on the cheek. Finn knew she was right, but it still made him feel sad. But maybe being single for a while would do him some good.

"Now go apologize to your brother and Rachel. Last I heard they were eating away their feelings and watching musicals. We can finish talking later." Carole chuckled. Burt, who hasn't said a word since Finn got here, merely got up and gave him a hug. Burt was always the more silent parent.

Finn smiled at his parents before leaving. They were a lot more supportive than he expected, and they didn't give him some big lecture. Of course that could be because she was waiting until they had their big talk later. Then she could tear into him all she wanted.

When he reached Rachel's apartment, he could already hear the opening notes to My Favorite Things, from The Sound Of Music. His palms were sweating profusely. Not only were Rachel and Kurt two of the people he hurt the most, but Santana could also be there. And he already knew she was our for Finn blood. He reached a shaky hand to the door and knocked. He heard the clanking of spoons on the other side of the door before the door opened moments later.

Rachel's surprised face is what he saw first. She was wearing sweatpants and a baggy sweatshirt. Her hair was in a messy bun and she was barely wearing any makeup. He never seen her look so damn beautiful. He had to resist the urge to take her in his arms and kiss the life out of her.

"Who is it?" Kurt shouted from his spot on the couch when neither Finn nor Rachel made any noise. They just stared at each other.

"F-Finn?" She asked through a shaky voice. She wiped her hands on the sweatpants nervously.

"Hi." Was all he said. She didn't say a word, she just stared at him with her big doe eyes.

"Rachel, your mint ice cream is melting. I'm just gonna eat it myself." Kurt voice got louder as he walked over to see why she was taking so long. He stopped in his tracks as he saw Finn standing in the doorway.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Kurt asked angrily.

"I really need to talk to you guys. Can you please let me in?" Finn pleaded with them. They talked with their eyes silently for a moment.

"Yeah." Rachel answered simply. Kurt looked like he didn't agree with Rachel's decision, but didn't say anything. Finn felt relieved that they were at least willing to talk to him. They sat on the couch and Kurt put a pillow on the couch cushion next to him, letting Finn know Kurt didn't want him to to sit next to him. Rachel crossed her arms over her chest and Kurt glared at him. Yeah they were pissed. He looked at the coffee table in front of him and saw four cartons of ice cream, two were completely empty. He sat down in the armchair and faced them.

He took a really deep breath before beginning his apology. "First I want to say I'm really sorry to both of you. I didn't think helping someone would lead to this." Finn said feeling more than awkward as Kurt snorted in annoyance. He always sucked with words. Neither said anything so he continued.

"Kurt I have no idea what came over me in the hospital. I didn't shove you because I was mad at you personally. I think I was more mad at myself. I guess I've never really found a way to express my anger towards people. Ever since I was kid, like before you and Burt came along, I was a really angry and violent child. I know that doesn't excuse what I did, but I promise I still want nothing more than to protect you Kurt. That's what I did in high school, and that's what I plan on continuing to do. So I really hope you can forgive me Kurt. You helped pick me up when I was down. That's something I hope to repay you for one day." Finn heaved a heavy breath after his speech.

He completely surprised himself with everything he said. He didn't sound like a complete moron. His game plan in the taxi was to just apologize followed by a little bit of begging on his knees for forgiveness. Kurt's resolve seemed to have almost completely faded given his sour expression was one of more sympathy. He and Finn had always been super close so it didn't surprise Finn at all when Kurt leaned over and pulled Finn in for a hug. They'd had fights much worse before.

Like when Burt and Carole had first gotten together and Kurt and Finn were forced to share a room in the dingy place they owned. Kurt had decorated the room more feminine than Finn would have liked and Finn used the word faggy to describe many things in that room. Kurt was more than hurt and humiliated while Burt had been so furious in actually frightened Finn. Burt had kicked him out that day and he'd been forced to sleep at his friend, Artie's for the night.

"I accept your apology Finn. I expect mom will rip you a new one so I'll be able to sit back and enjoy your humiliation later. But please learn to control your temper better. You ruined my Alexander McQueen scarf. That thing was one hundred and fifteen dollars." Kurt said finally. Finn smiled and felt really relieved that it was so easy to reconcile with Kurt. Most sibling relationships seemed to be like that for some reason.

And of course Kurt was more concerned with his scarf. That's something Finn always loved about Kurt. He could sense part of his forgiveness was because of Blaine. Because he missed Blaine and didn't want anymore screwed up relationships in his life. Finn could not blame him in the slightest.

"Great." Finn said. "Now uh, could I possibly talk to Rachel alone?" Finn requested. He knew this talk would be a little harder. They certainly didn't know eachother as well.

"Yeah, I'll just go to Rachel's room as listen to some of her old records." Kurt invented wildly as he leaped up and scurried off. Finn had a feeling Kurt would be eavesdropping instead.

"So uh, how was your morning?" Finn asked stupidly. How the fuck do you think it was moron? Finn asked himself.

"It was alright." She answered, not looking him in the eyes. Get it together Hudson. Show her that you can be a real man.

"Rach, I'm... I'm so sorry. I never wanted to hurt you. But I need you to know that I never even thought about getting back together with Quinn. You were the only woman I've been able to think about since the moment I layed eyes on you. You were the most perfect thing I'd ever seen. I also know that I hurt you. I went behind your back and not only contacted my ex, but I met up with her on more than one occasion. It was only to help her through a tough time." Finn started. He noticed her eyes get a little red but she didn't say anything.

"After I helped her a bit I had originally hoped to never have to deal with her again. But then Puck had to open his mouth. It wasn't so much that he insulted Quinn, it was more the blows to my ego as a man that made me go all Incredible Hulk on him. I'm not gonna be that guy who uses his dead father as an excuse, but I always hoped I could make him proud you know? Not just by making a good life for myself and doing what I love, but also being a good person and always treating people with as much respect as possible. Even if they don't actually deserve it. I think I was trying to be that person by helping out Quinn. I swear to you, it wasn't because I felt something for her. I stopped feeling love for Quinn a longtime ago. It just took me forever to realize it." Finn explained.

"I think it was more about the fact that I didn't feel like you trusted me. Or you didn't think I would trust you, either way it hurt me. You felt like you couldn't tell me about her. Someone who meant so much to you for so long. Someone you loved since high school. I didn't know why. Then I also started wondering if I was just wasting my time with you, because you were still into your ex. I felt betrayed, and also kind of stupid for getting into a relationship with someone who had just gotten out of an important one not even three months beforehand. I guess part of me was mad at you, and the other part was mad at myself for letting it happen. For letting myself fall for you so quickly." Rachel finally said. He was afraid her silence meant she wanted to murder him.

"You fell for me?" Finn asked breathlessly.

"Yeah. It seemed so fast to me, but I guess things don't ever really move at the pace you expect them to." Rachel said quietly, and without looking him in the eyes.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know how you'd react. It wasn't because I didn't trust you. I didn't trust myself. I knew I'd fuck up somehow and I didn't want that to happen. I thought if I just helped her without telling you, it would all just go away after that. I was wrong obviously." Finn was pissed with himself for how he handled all of this. Rachel reached across and gripped his hand for a moment.

"I understand. You just made a bad choice we all do. That's not something to be completely ashamed of." Rachel smiled at him. Finn chuckled.

"Well if its any consolation, I fell for you too. And I'll do anything to make it up to you, to make you trust me again. Even if it means waiting ten years for us to be together." Finn said.

Rachel was extremely quiet after that and it was freaking him out. Before he could say anything else, Rachel launched herself into his arms. She was just hugging him, but he'd take what he could get. The feeling if her in his arms was indescribable. But she pulled away after a few moments.

"Thank you Finn. Apology definitely accepted, there's no way anyone could not forgive you after that. Who knew you could be so good with words?" Rachel smiled. Finn grinned goofily and leaned in to kiss her. She pulled away at the last minute.

"What is it?" Finn asked worriedly. He thought they solved it, so what was the problem?

"Do you really mean it?" Rachel asked.

"Mean what?" Finn asked confused.

"That you'd do anything to make it up to me." Rachel answered simply.

"Well yeah of course I would. I just want you to know how much you mean to me." Finn told her

"Okay then. You know I care about you but um, do you think maybe we could try being friends for now? I just want to really make sure you're ready for a relationship. I am, admittedly, very high matinence. I think a little while being single will do you good. You haven't been single since high school right? This'll be good. I can focus on my show and you can focus on school and figuring out what your dream is. This isn't what I wanted for us, but I want to be with you fully. When we get together again I want all of you. I just don't think you're in the right place For the right now." Rachel said as she smiled sadly. She seemed in good spirits about the whole situation.

Finn felt a little sick but nodded his head. He really hoped they could just be together but maybe she was right. Being single for a while couldn't hurt, as long as they both stayed single. That way jealous and caveman Finn wouldn't have to make an appearance. "As long as we both stay single." Finn smiled back at her.

"Deal." She nodded her head once and hugged him again. He felt butterflies having a war in his stomach as she touched him but he just held her closer to him. Kurt came out of the bedroom and peeked around the corner. He obviously knew they were done because he was listening in the whole time.

"You can come back in Kurt." Finn rolled his eyes as Rachel released him yet again. Rachel giggled as Kurt walked back over.

"Good now leave. We are both trying to get over a breakup okay?" Kurt said. He wasn't joking and Finn could tell Kurt truly was in pain over it.

"Hey, I just had a breakup too. I think I'm entitled to a little ice cream and sulking as well." Finn smirked. Though he really did plan on talking to Kurt about Blaine later. When thy were in private. He didn't want to embarrass him after all.

"Ugh if you must. Rach what's your vote? Should we let him stay here?" Kurt asked Rachel smiling.

"I say, the more the merrier!" Rachel smiled scooting to the middle of the couch so Kurt and Finn could sit on either side of her. Finn pulled her into his side. Deciding it wasn't very friend like but not really caring. She allowed it and even fed him some ice cream. Kurt looked at them knowingly but just faced the tv screen again. Finn didn't know what he was so worried about. Kurt and Rachel accepted his apology a lot faster than he expected. Something he was more than thrilled about.

"Fourty-eight, fourty-nine, fifty." Finn heaved as sweat poured down his face.

"Good job Finn. That's your last rep for the week. You did really well today." Sam pat him on the back as Finn tried his best to get up without whimpering like a little baby. His abs ached, his legs ached, his arms ached. Hell, every part of him ached. He and Sam had been working out like crazy. It was the day before New Years Eve so Finn wanted to get in as much work as possible.

"Thanks. And thank you for staying late today. I really needed that workout." Finn huffed out before he took a very large swig of water.

"No problem. You really are making terrific progress Finn. You've got a real core strength that most people would kill for." Sam complemented. Finn high fived him.

"Awesome. I feel amazing. Working out just feels so good now. My brother has made me swear to make my New Years resolution all about eating healthier." Finn snorted. Sam laughed.

"That's a good brother you've got there." Sam said. "Well have a great break man. See you next year I guess." Sam chuckled. Finn didn't have a new session scheduled until sometime in January.

"Guess so. Thanks Sam." Finn smiled and waved as Sam waved back and headed to the locker rooms to clean up. Finn gathered his own stuff and shoved it into his Nike bag.

He knew it was sort of a creeper thing to do, but every night he'd had session scheduled at the same time Rachel taught a class, Finn liked to watch her. It wasn't something a friend typically did, but Finn didn't care in the slightest. Rachel looked so fucking hot when she was all sweaty and flustered. Okay, so he was kind of perv. It didn't count when he dated her for a while did it?

He peeked in the crack of door and saw no one in there. She always taught a class from eight to nine on Thursday. He would know, he'd been practically stalking her since they first met. Maybe she had to cancel for some reason? Just as Finn was contemplating the reasons a voice startled him.

"Looking for something?" Rachel voice giggled from behind him. Embarrassed at being caught as a peeping tom, Finn smacked his temple against the doorframe and stood up straight, trying to stealthily rub his head.

"H-hi Rach. No I'm not looking for anything. I was just heading home." Finn answered quickly.

"And you were going to leave through the yoga classroom?" Rachel asked with amusement in her tone. Finn blushed crimson.

"Well no." Finn felt like an idiot.

"You look tired," Rachel stated, clearly trying to change the subject to something less humiliating for Finn, "And all sweaty. Y-you have a session with Sam today?" Rachel asked biting her lip sensually, looking like she was striping him naked. Finn's entire body flushed this time. Rach baby, how can you look at me like that and not expect me to kiss your perfect little lips right here and now? Finn's dirty mind started rolling with a million different scenarios involving sex in the pool, sex all over the lockers, sex in her yoga room. Sex on every surface of this fucking gym.

"Are you okay?" Rachel asked giggling again at the dopey look on his face.

"Oh. Yeah. Yeah I'm fine." Finn smiled, trying to banish the lingering thoughts of whether or not Rachel would mind being bent over and taken from behind.

"You seem kind of fazed right now." Rachel added.

"No I'm fine. So what are your plans for New Years Eve? Cause I was thinking you and Santana could come spend the night with us." Finn asked.

"Finn..." Rachel said warningly.

"As friends, you know. Kurt's like one of your best friends. We're kind of having like a small party at the apartment. My parents went home a little earlier than expected because Burt's shop was being run by some jackass twenty year old. He needed to get back ASAP. So we're gonna have alcohol and stuff. I promise I wasn't asking you in a romantic way." Finn clarified quickly.

"I suppose that wouldn't be such a bad idea. It might be pretty cool to have a bigger group of people for the start of the new year. Santana went to go see her family back in Lima. She just came home yesterday." Rachel thought over his request.

"Please say yes. Please." Finn said with his best puppy dog face. Rachel immediately gave in and grinned wildly.

"I'd love to. As long as you clear it with Kurt. Not that he'd have a problem with it, but you never know. It is his apartment. Rachel let him throw his arm around her shoulder. For a pair of friends they were a lot more affectionate than most. And they had just become friends like two weeks ago.

"Already done." Finn smiling while Rachel's body close to his and squeezing her. She grinned up at him. "As much as I wish we could just stay and talk, we have to decorate the house tonight. Kurt thinks it will get us into the new years spirit even more before tomorrow. Whatever the hell that means. You uh, should come over in the morning and spend the night too. You can, I dunno, sleep with Kurt or something." Finn suggested feeling happier than he had in a while.

"As long as Melchoir can come along. I can't leave him alone." Rachel told him.

"Of course Melchoir can come. Kurt doesn't like to admit it, but he has a thing for little animals. Puppies, kittens, you name it. Can I walk you home?" Finn asked, really hoping she'd say yes.

"I really want to say yes. But we both agreed to just be friends for now. And hanging out together, letting you walk me home, and wrapping your arms around me, aren't exactly things friends do." Rachel giggled. "So I'll see you tomorrow. I'll come by around eleven. That okay?" Rachel asked, pulling her body from his. Finn sighed at the loss of contact.

"Yeah you're right. I'm sorry. Eleven is fine. I'm gonna have to actually get up at a decent hour though. I'll see you then. Tell Melchior I said hi." Finn gave her a friendly hug and she got into her taxi. Finn hailed one shortly after. He'd finally gotten over his completely unnecessary fear of hailing taxi's.

He arrived at the apartment and laughed at the sound of loud Broadway music playing. Apparently Kurt had really gotten into it this year. When he got into the apartment, Kurt was unsuccessfully trying to hang some black and gold streamers by himself.

"How was your session?" Kurt asked as he noticed Finn come in the apartment.

"Tiring. Very tiring. Oh, Rachel said she'd love to come tomorrow. As long as she can bring her chihuahua Melchior." Finn rolled his eyes smiling.

"Ooh Melchior! Of course she can bring him. That little chihuahua is so adorable. The more the merrier I say!" Kurt exclaimed excitedly. "Oh, what about Ryder? Is he still coming over?" Kurt asked. Finn had also visited Ryder the other day. Mostly because Carole had made him. He was still too embarrassed to go without a little push. Ryder had understood that it was more of a heated moment shove and forgave him quickly.

How he was this lucky to have so many amazing friends was beyond him. They all forgave him quickly, so either they were fantastic friends or they pitied him beyond believe. He certainly hoped it wasn't the latter.

"Finn? Is he?" Kurt repeated.

"What? Oh Ryder, yeah he's coming. He told me he'd rather get run over by a semi truck than spend another day in that apartment with Jake. Or worse, at the Puckerman household. That's gonna be one ugly experience." Finn chuckled even though he was absolutely serious. From what Ryder had told him, Marley (Jake's girlfriend) had broken up with him immediately after hearing what transpired that day. Jake was beaten to a pulp and heartbroken. Marley had then proceeded to dump all his stuff from her apartment, right out the window and down four stories.

As for Puck, he also had been beaten severely and from what Ryder could get from eavesdropping on Jake's phonecalls, Quinn had left town two days after the blowout. She didn't contact Puck or Jake again and left, probably knowing it would cause even more problems if she attempted to get either brothers help. Presumably, she went to go see her parents in Maine. Finn couldn't say he was sad to see her leave. Cause honestly? He was thrilled to have out of his life for good.

That meant he could focus on his life and relationships. Like getting Rachel to be his girlfriend again. That was priority number one. He told Kurt he'd make his New Years resolution eating better, but really it was to get Rachel to be his again. The fact that she was coming over for their New Years party made it so much easier. He could woo her all he wanted. Especially since she said she was staying on New Years eve too.

Kurt must have been talking while he thought to himself because he just heard the end of his sentence. "That way we have enough plates for everyone. I refuse to let people just walk around with their food in their hands. Or worse, a napkin." Kurt shuddered. Finn just nodded his head, acting like he understood what his brother said, when in actuality he had no clue.

Kurt shook his head as Finn sat down at the table next to him. "What?" Finn asked defensively.

"Nothing. You're just so obvious. You don't even know what I was talking about do you?" Kurt asked amused. Finn glared at him quickly.

"Why do plates matter anyways? Most of us will probably be too drunk to realize there is food at all. You bought plenty of alcohol right?" Finn asked.

"Yeah I think so. A bought four bottles of champagne and six wine bottles." Kurt shrugged. Finn groaned.

"Wine and champagne? That's all you got? Those are awesome and all, but we're gonna need something a little stronger too. For those who really want to get wasted." Finn smiled.

"Fine. But no drugs and Puckerman okay? I can't handle a drugged up Puck again. That was hell. The neighbors actually called the cops." Kurt shivered uncomfortably at the memory while Finn chuckled.

Puck had spent the entire night smoking marijuana and drinking beer and vodka; mixed together. He then proceeded to strip off all his clothes and run around the building naked, singing 'I Wanna Be An Airborne Ranger' at the top of his lungs. He woke several patrons and almost gave an older lady a heart attack. Thankfully, they caught him before he got outside into the snow. But that didn't stop people from calling the cops on them, stopping their party right after.

"Shut up. Now have you talked to Blaine yet?" Finn asked, watching as Kurt rolled his eyes and sang along to the music playing on the radio.

"Kurt." Finn said his brothers name with his eyebrows cocked.

"Finn, I told you not to talk about that." Kurt replied back, avoiding eye contact with Finn at all costs. Kurt was a very private person. Anytime their parents would grill them about their relationships, Kurt would always be super embarrassed. Not that Finn enjoyed it, he just took it better than Kurt.

"You need to talk to him. Blaine loves you. But can't you just understand that he wanted to see his family? They may not have accepted him before but maybe they will now. Maybe he can reconcile with them. And eventually you." Finn said.

"I'll think about it. But I won't make any promises. Now stop bugging me." Kurt replied. Finn rolled his eyes. Kurt was so fucking stubborn. If Kurt and Blaine couldn't get over their fights, no couple could. They always seemed so strong together.

"What time is Rachel coming over tomorrow?" Kurt asked, interrupting his thoughts.

"I think she said eleven." Finn said, crinkling his eyebrows in thought. Kurt chuckled.

"Tell her not to eat lunch. I want us to cook her something." Kurt smiled happily.

"Us? Gee, thanks for volunteering me bro." Finn laughed sarcastically.

"Just go text her now." Kurt instructed with a smile on his face. Finn pulled out his phone and his thumbs immediately went into action. Kurt started pulling out trays for the food from under the stove and set them on the counter.

"What kind of finger foods do you think we should get? I'm thinking stuff that will be easy to eat, you know? Like, small chocolates and those delicate cheeses from that shop on 23rd street." Kurt babbled. Finn had trouble listening to Kurt when he was talking about this stuff.

"Kurt said not to eat lunch K? He wants us to cook you lunch. :)" Finn texted her, smiling like a goof the whole time. She texted him back moments later.

"Okay sounds great. What are you up to Finny? ;)" Finn seethed. Of course Kurt told her about Carole's nickname for him.

"Kurt is decorating and babbling about cheese or something. I'm just trying not to fall asleep to be honest. What about you?" Finn responded, turning his Xbox on and joining Ryder in a round of Call of Duty. And if he happened to see Puck on his team and shoot him in the back, then so be it. He grinned to himself as Puck's character died and had to restart from the beginning.

"Sounds like fun. For you anyway. ;) I'm taking Melchior to get his nails clipped. He always scratches the heck out of my forearms when I try to do it. We are next so I'll TTYL! :D" Finn's phone buzzed with Rachel's next incoming message. He was so excited for tomorrow. It was New Years eve AND he would be getting to see Rachel again. Double the awesome. Kurt came into the living room just as he was messaging Rachel a quick, "Okay! Have fun. See you tomorrow." Finn smiled like an idiot again and shut his phone.

"If you can wipe that possibly permanent dopey look off your face, I need your help with something. I want you to help me put up the lights and streamer before I go to the store." Kurt sniped, ducking when Finn threw one of the couch pillows directly at Kurt's face. Kurt skipped away to the kitchen and Finn grumbled before following suite.

They spent the rest of the evening decorating the apartment and hanging gold colored lights all over. Finn was relieved when he was able to lay down in his bed. The covers were so warm and comforting. It wasn't very hard to fall asleep.

When he woke up, Kurt was clearly out of bed because he could smell fresh coffee. Kurt was a coffee addict. He sometimes would have four cups a day. When he rubbed his eyes and got up, he did not hear his moms voice, but another female voice instead. Did Rachel come early? He ran like a little kid out to the kitchen where Rachel was sitting adorably at the counter with Kurt. They were discussing something over cups of coffee and Kurt's Vogue magazine.

"Hell yeah. We need to spice up your wardrobe. I'm not saying we need to get rid of the animal sweaters completely. Just not wear them a much. You need a new sexy look. Sonething that says 'I'm cute, but I'm not a sweet little virgin either'. And I will help you. Things are always on sale for weeks after Christmas so we can make our move very soon." Kurt told her like they hatching some evil plan. Rachel giggled and agreed.

"I like the animal sweaters." Finn answered from behind them. Rachel whipped around and blushed when their eyes met. Oh yeah. She totally wanted him. Kurt just rolled his eyes.

"Says the guy who owns over twelve different plaid shirts, plaid boxers, and a set of plaid pajamas." Kurt said. "I don't think Rachel should be taking fashion advice from you." Kurt snorted into his coffee when Finn blushed too.

"You're early." Finn changed the subject, his ears still bright red.

"Yeah I uh, didn't really have anything planned so I decided to come a bit early. Melchior was happy to leave the house. He was so hyper this morning and now he's like completely passed out on your couch." Rachel answered. As she said his name, Melchior lifted his head up from his spot on the couch and stared at Finn quizzically. Finn smiled his lopsided smile and walked over to the couch to pat the little chihuahua gently on the head. Melchior sighed happily and went back to sleep.

"Well we're really glad you could make it." Finn smiled at her.

"I'm happy to be here." Rachel smiled back.

"Okay, if you two are done eye fucking, I'd like some breakfast Finn. Can you cook me breakfast Finn? You know I can't cook." Kurt said. Rachel smacked his arm as her cheeks flushed. Finn glared at him. Finn got up as cooked breakfast. Right after they'd eaten, Rachel left the house saying she needed to get Melchior food. Before he knew it, Kurt made him go shower and get dressed and it was one o'clock.

Kurt and Finn sat down and watched Zoolander for a while as Rachel came into the room. Squealing when she saw the movie. Finn and Kurt turned to see Ryder was right behind her.

"Hey man, you guys come here together?" Finn asked as Kurt waved to the two.

"We met up on the elevator to Rachel's apartment. I went to pick up the dog food with her so we just walked here together." Ryder smiled at Rachel and helped her put a few more things from the store away. Finn felt a twinge of jealously at Ryder's tone of voice. They looked a little too close for Finns liking.

Rachel smiled back at him before she dropped the dog food on the counter and squeezed in between Kurt and Finn. Ryder plopped down on the chair with a smile still on his face. They watched the movie in complete silence until Kurt complained about being hungry.

"My god Kurt. How are you so skinny when you eat all the time?" Finn asked, exasperated.

"Hey! You're the one who eats like five helpings of everything." Kurt sniped back. "Now if you all will excuse me, I must use the bathroom. I've been insulted enough for the day." Kurt turned his nose up at Finn and walked out of the room. Finn snorted.

"You guys have a terrace or something? I need some fresh air. It's pretty hot in here." Rachel asked him.

"You're hot? My arms are like, frozen here." Ryder chuckled.

"Well unlike you, I'm a warm blooded mammal, not a cold blooded reptile." Rachel joked. Ryder laughed.

"Lizards are cool. I definitely wouldn't mind being a chameleon." Ryder said seriously, making Rachel laugh. Yeah, Finn didn't like this at all. He was getting some weird vibes coming from Ryder. Romantic vibes.

"Uh yeah c'mon. Doors over here." Finn mumbled. He led her to the small balcony they had by the kitchen. Finn was relieved Ryder didn't follow. She breathed in the snowy air and leaned against the railing. Finn mimicked her and they stood there in the snow, staring at the bustling city down below. It felt like hours that they just watched their icy breath flow through the air.

Finn finally broke the silence by saying, "You know, this is probably really dangerous. Leaning on the railing like this. I weigh like double your weight in sure of it." Finn chuckled. Rachel laughed. She sounded like an angel when she laughed. It was weird how hard he'd fallen for her in such a short time. Everything about her made him fall harder.

"Your laugh is so beautiful." Finn whispered. He thought he said to himself but turns out his stupid mouth had other ideas.

"Finn..." Rachel breathed out and he knew she was going to say something about how that wasn't a friend like comment.

"Sorry. That one slipped out. But really, everything is beautiful about you. I just want you to know that. Even if we're just friends, you're still the most adorably sexy woman I've ever met." Finn said honestly. Rachel stared at him. Her beautiful lashes fluttering with tiny flecks of snow stuck to them. The wind blew snow around them as their eyes stayed locked to the each others. He was about to apologize, but before he could get a word out, she leaned over and placed her lips on his. Every jealous thought about her and Ryder completely went out the window in that second.

It started out very slow, their lips caressing the others sensually. Her shining lipgloss smeared all over his face as she kissed every spot she could reach. A moan bubbled out of his lips as her own lips moved to his neck, practically burying her face in it. His hand gripped the back of her head and he shoved that hand into her silky hair. Once she had marked his neck, she moved back to to his lips a little more fiercely.

So much passion hit him in that moment that he felt lightheaded. Her tongue dove into his mouth and stroked his tongue before scraping the roof of his mouth. His stomach was feeling all jelly like. That kind of arousal that makes your stomach turn and your heart beat erratically in your chest. He picked her up and allowed her to wrap her legs around his hips. When she ground her hips in his, he was overcome with such arousal that he whipped his head back and it smacked in the brick.

Rachel stopped her ministrations immediately and her hand shot to her mouth. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay?" She asked, reaching behind him and rubbing his head. He had a perfect view of her breasts. They were in her white sweater, but they were also right in his face, he grinned even though he was embarrassed.

"Yeah I'm alright. No permanent damage. Now where were we?" He mumbled against her lips, already sucking her lower lip into his mouth. The fact that they were making out on the balcony of his and Kurt's apartment building, where probably everyone driving by could see them, also completely flew out the window. They groped at each others clothes like it was the last time they ever would. His hands moved under her sweater so that his cold hands were all over her warm back. She yelped in his mouth for a moment before changing to a moan when he pulled her lower half closer into his so that their groins were touching.

She bucked her hips and sucked on his tongue vigorously. They were so close together, a piece of paper wouldn't be able to fit between them. His hands moved to her front, where they reached for her breasts. She seemed to be okay with it before she moaned as his hands gripped her breasts through the thick material of her bra. She dug her fingers through his hair and pulled his mouth to her neck, encouraging him to suck on her. He felt like some kind of wild animal as he gripped her breasts and sucked hard on her neck, making sure to mark her as his. Her moans were continuous and didn't stop until her pulled away.

"Oh Finn." She groaned. He pulled his face out of her warm neck just to look at her. His arousal was pushed up against his jeans so hard, it was almost painful.

"I love you." Finn blurted out. He couldn't take it. He needed to have her. A friendship between them just couldn't work for him. She looked so shocked it scared Finn. Her mouth was open and her eyes had bugged out of her head when he proclaimed his love for her. She slid down his body and planted her feet firmly on the ground, staring up at him.

"I know it's early and we're supposed to be friends right now, but I can't lie to you. I love you and you need to know that. You don't have to say it back but..." Finn backtracked, feeling completely stupid for blurting that out.

"I love you too." She interrupted. "Nothing about this relationship has been conventional. I don't care if its too early, because it doesn't seem like that matters to me anymore." Rachel told him firmly. Finn was dumbfounded.

She loved him. She fucking loved him too. Rachel Berry loved Finn Hudson. He was over ecstatic. He grinned and lifted her up again, planting his lips firmly on hers. Their kiss was gentle and loving this time, rather than desperate and heated.

"Are you sure you're okay with this? I mean, before you said you wanted us to be friends for a while and I don't want to pressure you. If you're not ready then..." Finn babbled nervously.

"Finn!" Rachel almost had to shout over his rambling. "I don't think either of us can stand being friends. Our little makeout session just now proved that I think. If you're okay with it too, I um, would like us to try again. And I hope you don't think I'm bipolar or something. I change my mind a lot, I am quite a handful." Rachel chuckled.

"You're perfect. And I think you already know my answer to that. I could barely even last a week without having you in my arms." Finn answered, pulling her back to him and pecking the little apple of her cheek. She twirled the hair at the back his neck around her fingers and brought their lips together again. Yeah, he had absolutely no problem with this turn of events. He mentally did the conga as her tongue stroked his gently.

"Um, I really hate to interrupt your little reunion, but we need to go to store. People are going to start coming and you're the one who said you wanted more alcohol for the guests." Kurt stuck his head out the door to warn them. Rachel ripped her lips from his and immediately starting freaking out over her appearance. Finn was just trying to figure out who in the hell would come this early.

"How do I look? Is my hair okay? What about my makeup? Is it smeared? Oh god everyone is going to think I'm some sort of trollop." Rachel whispered hysterically.

"Stop Rach. You're so beautiful, everyone is going to love you. You look perfect." Finn assured her, pecking her lips lovingly once more.

"Thank you Finn." Rachel smiled sweetly and gripped his hand, letting him drag her back inside. He didn't even realize how cold he was until he stepped into the warm apartment.

When they reached the living room, Ryder was still on the TV. "Rach and I will leave in like half an hour okay?" Kurt told him.

"Why can't I go?" Finn questioned.

"Um, maybe because it will take you hours. You won't be able to keep your hands off eachother. So either you would break a table by staying here, or miss the party completely. Therefore, I'm not leaving you two alone." Kurt clarified. Both Rachel and Finn blushed at his bold statement. Ryder looked confused but just shrugged it off.

He listened to Rachel and Kurt talk about Broadway, school, and Rachel's show before the two friends headed to the store. Ryder and Finn just talked about random stuff before Ryder brought up what Finn had been curious about.

"So are you and Rachel back together then?" Ryder asked.

"Uh, yeah. Guess we just couldn't stay away from eachother. Our breakup only lasted like a little more than a week." Finn answered, rubbing the back of his neck.

"That's awesome. Congrats man." Ryder pat him on the back.

"You aren't, mad or anything? I know you and Rachel have gotten pretty close lately." Finn said uncomfortably.

"Mad? Why would I be mad? Rachel and I are friends. She's been helping me with some feelings I've been having for a while, about Marley. She used to comfort me when Marley was dating Jake. She'd make me tea while I cried over my one sided feelings for my best friends girlfriend." Ryder chuckled humorlessly.

Oh, Ryder had a crush on Marley. Wow, he felt fucking stupid. He really needed to stop assuming things. He also needed to stop thinking he knew anything. It seemed like everything he assumed was always wrong.

"Oh. Well maybe now you'll have a chance. If you just give her some time first. She's not with Jake anymore. Maybe now she'll realize she's better off with a guy who treats her right." Finn smiled, much happier now that he knew Ryder had no feelings for Rachel.

"Yeah that's what Rachel said," Ryder grinned, "Thanks man." Ryder and him high fived and the conversation was this dropped. It was great how short a conversation could be between two guys.

The two men finished watching the end of a football game just as Rachel and Kurt came back into the apartment. Their arms were covered with the handles of the platci bags.

They all helped unload the groceries and place all the food on the trays. They planned on having a good amount of people so Kurt wanted to have some hot sliced turkey for the guests. Apparently the turkey and tofurkey would take several hours to cook. Kurt came and sat down on the armchair and pulled out his phone, obviously not interested in the game. Ryder sat next to Kurt and Rachel pushed her way in between Finn legs, so she was sitting in his lap.

Finn couldn't help but nuzzle his nose onto her neck, inhaling her gorgeous scent. Just her sweet smell made him aroused. He licked behind her ear just once and he felt her shiver in his arms. She looked back at him, and gave him a playful evil eye. He chuckled quietly and went back to watching the game, holding her hands in his as he did so.

To be honest, their sudden make out session/ get back together kisses really confused him. Just a couple days ago she wanted to be friends and now she's telling him she loves him. Not that he's complaining, cause really he's not, its just really confusing. They're definitely gonna have to talk later. But for now, he's good with holding her while hanging out with some of his favorite people.

They watched some New Years themed movies and ate leftover gingerbread cookies for the rest of the afternoon. Rachel and Ryder ended up helping them put the rest of the ornaments away and Finn kinda loved how much it felt like a family atmosphere. Thet drank the rest of the eggnog from Christmas while Rachel and Kurt belted out Broadway tunes. He'd never had so much fun laying around all day. His and Rachel's steamy kisses also played a big factor in his good day.

Finally when it was about ten o'clock, a few of their guests started to arrive. Marley and her friend Kitty were the first to arrive. Melchior barked his ass off whenever the door was knocked on, so Rachel reluctantly stuck him in Finn's room.

She wanted to put him in Kurt's room because it was a bit bigger, but Kurt absolutely refused. He claimed Melchior would piss on everything on there, including his mahogany bed posts. That little puppy yipped until he a passed out.

"Thank you for having me and being so welcoming." Marley smiled Kurt. "I wasn't sure if Finn would feel a little weird. Considering what my ex boyfriend did." Marley said ashamed.

"It wasn't your fault." Finn assured her. She smiled up at him and took a cracker with a slice of cheese. Ryder came right over and began talking to her and her friend Kitty. Finn shook his head in amusement when Ryder grinned cheekily and gave him a thumbs up.

Next to arrive was Mercedes Jones, Tina Cohen-Chang, and her husband Mike. They were followed by Dani and Santana (who gave him the most evil glare he'd ever seen. He wanted to crawl into a hole and never leave). Then Wade (Unique) Adams who was one of Kurt's coworkers, Finn's coworker Rory Flanagan, and Brittany S. Pierce, who came in wheeling Finn's old friend Artie Abrams.

"We met on the elevator." Artie smiled.

"It's great to see you man. It's been too long. Xbox live doesn't really count as hanging out." Finn chuckled, fist bumping Artie. Finn then went around and introduced Rachel to everyone. Artie and Rory seemed especially taken with her.

They raved on about seeing her in an off broadway production of RENT. She blushed and took the attention like a pro.

"Half an hour until the new year!" Artie announced as he downed a glass of red wine. The TV was on, playing Dick Clark's New Years Rockin Eve and Finn also had classic rock tunes playing on his iPod dock. Not that Finn really noticed. He was too busy talking to Rory while discreetly stroking Rachel's ass.

At about ten till midnight, there was another knock at the door.

"W-who is t-that?" Kurt slurred as he sipped his tenth glass of champagne. He was sitting with his ass on the counter as he ate cheese straight from the plate. Something sober Kurt would say was extremely unsanitary. Drunk Kurt was way more fun though.

"I don't know. I thought this was everybody." Finn shrugged as he managed to pry himself away from Rachel's warm body.

He was extremely surprised when the first person he saw was Sam Evans. "Sam? What are you doing here?" Finn asked confused.

"I'm Blaine's plus one." Sam grinned with his enormous mouth. It was then that Finn noticed a sheepish Blaine standing directly behind Sam.

"Blaine?" Finn asked quietly as he allowed Sam to pass through. Blaine managed a small smile.

"Kurt and I need to talk. I hope you're not too mad at me for coming here unannounced. I can't start the new year with Kurt hating me." Blaine told him.

"I'm not mad at all. But let me tell you, he doesn't hate you. He's been mopey and sad ever since you two fought. Come on in." Finn told him supportively. Blaine smiled gratefully and walked passed Finn.

"I'd wait a while though. He's been chugging down that champagne so he's like super drunk right now. You could spend the night if you want. Talk to him before work tomorrow." Finn warned his formed before walking back over to Rachel who looked slightly concerned.

"What is Blaine doing here? Does he know how sad he's made Kurt?" Rachel asked as she settled back into his lap.

"They both were doing wrong. Blaine's hurting just as much. And he just wants to talk to Kurt. I think we should just let them talk it out." Finn said, defending Blaine.

"I suppose you're right. I just hope they don't hurt each other more than they already have." Rachel sighed as she looked back at her best friend who was staring at Blaine from across the room as he downed yet another glass of champagne.

"I'm going to go talk to Kurt." Rachel got up and walked over to him.

"It's almost midnight babe, hurry." Finn told her. She nodded and put her hand on Kurt's knee as she talked to him quietly.

"Hey Finn. So have you talked to Puck at all?" Ryder asked, sitting back down on the couch next to Finn.

"Nope. Not for weeks. You talked to Jake?" Finn asked.

"Nope. We decided I was going to be the one moving out. I thought he should still get to keep something. He had originally planned on moving in with Marley but that's obviously not going to happen now. He pretty much lost everything except for his job." Ryder shrugged.

"You're a good guy Ryder." Finn slapped him on the back.

"Five minutes!" Artie shouted from beneath Marley's friend Kitty. She was straddling Artie's lap and they'd been making out for fifteen minutes straight before taking a breather.

Finn chuckled at all his friends drunken romps. Dani and Santana were making out and were being intently watched by Sam and Rory who were practically drooling. Tina and Mercedes were in a heated debate about mail polish colors apparently, while Mike looked bored of their talk. Marley, Unique, and Brittany were talking about something hushed in the corner.

"Alright everyone! Pick someone to kiss! We've got two minutes!" Finn shouted over the music. Everyone scrambled to find someone quickly, not wanting to be the one person that didn't get a kiss.

Tina obviously grabbed Mike, Artie still had Kitty on his lap, Dani and Santana managed to break apart for a moment so they could kiss at the same time as everyone else. Rory rushed over to Brittany and smiled like a fool when she accepted him. Ryder grabbed both Unique and Marley by the arm ready to kiss both, while Sam and Mercedes linked hands. Kurt looked wary of Blaine who held out a hand but accepted it anyways. Rachel stood next to Finn and smiled up at him, gripping his fingers in hers.

They all counted down in sync with the other New Yorkers on the TV, and finally shouted a hearty happy new year to each other they all locked lips with their perspective partners. Finn lifted Rachel off her feet and let her tongue dive into his mouth. They made out heatedly as several of the other couples broke away. Dani and Santana fell backwards into their chair as Blaine and Kurt sucked face on their kitchen counter. He knew they couldn't stay apart that long. It was only a matter of time before that got back together.

To Finn's surprise, he could see Ryder and Marley still kissing from right behind Rachel. Rachel's tongue scraping the roof of his mouth however, made him forget all about everyone else. She brought him down onto the couch and they continued to make out throughout the rest of the night, coming up for breath once in a while.

Finally at three AM, most of the guests were way too drunk to drive, so they left in groups, splitting the cab fair and letting someone sober drive them. Mike, one of the only people not drunk, elected to take Mercedes and Brittany home as well as his wife. Ryder, Marley (who was tucked into Ryder's side as she stared sweetly up at him), and Unique all took a cab together.

Ryder hugged Rachel and high fived Finn before he left. Rory and Sam left right behind Santana and Dani, probably so they could watch the two women make out.

The last to leave were Artie and Kitty. "So are you and Kitty, you know?" Finn asked cheekily, raising his eyebrows suggestively.

"I think so. I invited her to my apartment as she agreed. Hoped she's not too creeped out by the Stormtrooper or light saber." Artie said.

"And all those Star Wars and Star Trek figures and memorabilia you have?" Finn laughed.

"Maybe she'll find it intriguing." Artie said, punching Finn in the arm.

"Right, and Rachel loves playing football," Finn laughed, "Seriously though, good luck man. And have fun." Finn winked and fist bumped Artie.

"Thanks." Artie grinned as he led Kitty out the door, leaving only Blaine, Kurt, Rachel, and Finn left.

Blaine was sipping more champagne while Kurt watched in jealously. Rachel had made him stop drinking so he was now nursing a bottle of water and some ibuprofen. He sat in between Rachel's legs as she smoothed through his hair.

"Okay, so I guess we will just all go to sleep right?" Finn clapped his hands together and started walking towards the hall.

"Wait, where do I sleep?" Blaine asked.

"I don't know. Duke it out. Someone of you gets the couch, the other Kurt's bed. Not my problem." Finn smiled and held his hand out to Rachel. She kissed Kurt's head and got up to kiss Finn lovingly on the lips.

"Goodnight." Rachel waved and yawned as she sat back down on the couch.

"Huh? What are you doing?" Finn asked.

"Going to sleep." Rachel said cautiously, not knowing what was going on.

"You're not sleeping on the couch. I have a bed you know." Finn chuckled, grabbing her hand and pulling her with him.

"Wait, where am I sleeping then?" Kurt asked as he crossed his arms over his chest in annoyance.

"Uh the couch?" Finn suggested, not particularly caring where his brother slept. As long as Rachel was in his bed, he didn't really care about anything else. Kurt looked like Finn had just shot him in the leg.

"I would never sleep on the couch. Could you imagine what that would do to my back? We don't exactly have the most comfortable couch in the world. And it's extremely rude to make a guest sleep on the couch. Blaine obviously gets my bed." Kurt scoffed.

"Well I'm certainly not going to sleep in the couch. It's my damn bed." Finn shot back.

"So this is the price I pay for actually keeping a clean bed and being a gracious host? I have to sleep on the dingy old couch?" Kurt was outraged.

"Look, why don't you sleep in the bed with Blaine. It's a king size mattress right? You should both be able to fit without being too close to each other. You won't have room for either of you to move a lot, but you can still have a comfortable nights sleep." Rachel suggested.

"And witness the two of you fornicating all night in the room right next to me? No thanks." Kurt rolled his eyes.

"Suit yourself." Finn picked up a squealing Rachel and carried her to his room, leaving Kurt glaring after him. Kurt threw too many hissy fits anyways. He plopped her down on the bed and let her snuggle under his covers before passing her her pajamas. His heart beat faster as he watched her throw her clothes pit from under the covers. she was naked. She was fucking naked under his covers. On his bed. This was his own version of heaven.

She smiled and held the covers open in an invitation for him to join her. He just stripped his pants and pulled off his sweater, leaving him in his boxers and black T-shirt. He slipped in and sighed happily. Her little cupcake pajamas felt amazing against his skin as he pulled her as tight as possible into him so that he was spooning her from behind. Her hand hand grabbed his left after he wrapped it around her waist.

"I'm really glad neither of us have self control." Finn chuckled. "I don't know how much longer I could've stayed away from you. And it was only a couple of weeks." Finn added.

"I'm glad too. Isn't love grand?" Rachel giggled. "It's crazy how fast you can fall for someone." Rachel leaned down to kiss his hand, making sparks shoot through Finn's arm. Finn buried his face in the back of her hair and they both closed their eyes feeling calm and tired. Kurt's shadow appeared on their bodies after a few more pleasant moments of silence.

Finn opened one eye and glared at his brother. "What are you doing in here?" Finn asked. Kurt stuck his tongue out at him and gripped his pillow in his arms.

"I'm not sleeping on the couch. So make room for me, I'm coming in." Kurt told them, throwing his pillow into the right side of the bed. He brushed off the only plaid material he owned; his light blue pajama bottoms, and pulled the covers over so he could slide inside.

"Oh great. I'm so excited." Finn said unenthusiastically. As if on cue, Melchior jumped up onto the bed and buried himself by Rachel's thighs. It was like he knew how cramped this bed already was. Rachel laughed and snuggled deeper into Finn's warm arms, blissful and clearly not bothered by their lack of space.

"But no canoodling over there." Kurt warned as he pulled the covers up to his chin and shivered from the cold winter air.

"I can't promise you that." Finn said cheekily, bending down to suck Rachel's neck. He made sure to be as loud as possible when doing so, just so Kurt could hear them loud and clear. Rachel half giggled half moaned and Kurt started making gagging noises. Hey, he'd do anything to piss his brother off. And if that meant ravishing the love of his life, then so be it. He had absolutely no problem with that.

"Please Finn. Just let me sleep in peace." Kurt begged with his pillow over his head so his voice was muffled.

Finn had just moved his lips to her delicate shoulder blade when Rachel put her hand over his mouth, making him kiss her palm repeatedly. "Sorry Kurt. We'll stop." Rachel promised. Finn pouted but agreed. Kurt was silent after that, the only sound coming from him was his quiet breathing.

Not even five minutes later, another shadow appeared in the doorway. Blaine was also gripping his pillow and he looked sheepish in Kurt's pajamas. Kurt and Rachel laughed at the puppy dog look on Blaine's face. Male hope barked at the sudden noise and started struggling in the blankets.

"Can I join the party? It's lonely in there." Blaine smiled.

"Why not. We're already squeezed in here enough." Finn chuckled. Blaine hopped onto the bed and settled his pillow in the middle. He too slipped under the covers and they were even more squished together. Melchior finally settled himself down back in between Rachel's legs. They were like a happy little family.

There was no where else he'd rather be. Right here with some of the people he loves the most.

"I love you." Rachel whispered. Finn sighed with such happiness he thought he'd explode. If it was even possible, he tightened his grip on her.

"I love you too. So much." Finn replied gently. He could practically feel her smile as she turned around in his arms so they were face to face. Well, so they were face to chest. She kissed his chest through the thin fabric of his T-shirt. They were once again so close and intertwined, it was hard to tell where one ended and the other began. Everyone else was asleep mere minute later as Finn settled his lips on the Rachel's hairline, breathing her in.

Finn had gone from hating life, to being happier than he ever thought he could be. He had Rachel, Kurt, and Blaine to thank for that. People that he knew would have his back for as long as he lived. People who would love him unconditionally. They were all he needed. And nobody could change that. Not Quinn, not Puck, nobody. He kissed Rachel again and felt her snuggle into him lovingly.

She slowly started falling asleep with a beautiful smile on her face as Finn placed warm kisses all over her face and neck. Rachel gave him one more sweet kiss back before falling asleep. Finn laid back down with his face buried deeply in her warm neck.

Maybe life wasn't so bad after all.
