Luna Love – Chapter 7: Waking Nightmare

Lily's eyes blinked open, taking in the curtains to her room. She sighed a breath of relief, before getting out of the bed. The curtains were her curtains, and the bed sheets were her bedsheets. She wasn't at the Malfoy manor, and thus the nightmare was just that, a nightmare. One hand reached up to her forehead, wondering if she was ill, having such a dream that made her start to favor Lucius and Narcissa in her mind over her own husband.

James was nowhere in sight, and Lily hoped he'd simply gone to work, not waking her up in the morning to make him breakfast like he did so many other times. He tended to be very demanding, and the fact she'd gotten a break felt really good. She wondered how she put up with him every single day, her heart aching at the thought that something wasn't quite right.

She arrived downstairs, only to flinch upon seeing Emma, the woman with which James ended up having an affair with. "Excuse me?"

"Oh! Lily darling! Come and sit. I'll get you something to eat."

Lily walked over, sitting down as she sat down at the table. Emma then stood up, and Lily swallowed, watching her move. The baby bump was obvious, and her hand glided down as she prepared a plate for the other woman in the room. Her mouth trembled. "I'm not hungry."

"Oh, Lily. We can't have any of that."

"I refuse to eat anything you've made." Lily closed her eyes, wanting the nightmare to end. "This is my household."

To her dismay, she found herself pulled up so Emma could sit down, and then over Emma's lap despite the baby bump. She could feel the baby moving, the nightmare becoming ever so vivid. "You're being a bad girl for mama, Lily."

"What are you doing?"

She should have been able to runaway, but it was indeed the real nightmare. She felt Emma pull up the back of her nightgown before pulling down the panties. "What do you think I'm doing? For not doing what mama wants, you get a spanking." Emma's hand came down hard, quite a few times. Soon, Lily blurted out that she was sorry, and wrong. "But why did you do it baby?"

The spanking continued, forcing her to say, "because Lily was jealous of mama."

"Good baby." Lily's bottom stung, and yet Emma didn't let her up. "Let mama kiss and make I better." A blush spread across Lily's cheeks at Emma's next action, and then the other young woman lifted her up so she was sitting on her lap. "Mama will feed you."

Dream Emma proceeded to kiss her tears away and feed her, making Lily sit up in bed crying. She was still in the Malfoy manor, with no freedom even if she left, or at least that was the way it felt. She screamed as she did so, the tears running down her face. She gulped rather large gulps of air upon seeing Lucius Malfoy placing a vase on the nightstand next to her bed filled with roses. "Apologies. I thought I might drop these by while you were asleep, and did not intend to wake you. I'll leave now."

"How can Narcissa be fine with this?"

Lucius took a deep breath. "How? She loves little ones, but she – we – have struggled to have the one child we do have. You do know how much older we are than you, and how much longer we've been married? Look how long it took."

"I'm sorry."

Lucius left then, and Lily found herself falling into a deep depression, knowing full well that James had gone and replaced her, but she felt repulsed, wondering if he wanted her for anything other than making babies. Narcisa eventually came back in, sitting on the edge. "Lucius wishes to apologize. I don't mind sharing."

"Because it means you and he can have another?"

Narcisa's lips pushed together. "That's one of the reasons a Pureblood male might take on a mistress. It allowed them to still have children even if their wife could not. However, we don't know what would happen to this child. If it weren't for this war…"

"We wouldn't even be here."

"But you're not happy with James either? Purebloods aren't really pure like people think. The ones that are, well, they've gone insane. My sister is included in that company really. Her husband is just the right match as well." Narcissa sighed. "Is there any way we can make this easier for you?"

"No, I don't think so."

The older female leaned in, kissing Lily lightly on the cheek, making her flinch. "How about you tell me about you're dream?"

"I dreamed I was in my own house with James, and not here. Except, it was a far worse nightmare. He wasn't bossing me around, making me make dinner, but instead he had Emma there. She had a baby bump as well, and insisted I eat her food. He was – is – my husband, so why should I listen to her. She proceeded to treat me like a child, spanking me, force feeding me. In my own house. That's why…" Lily took a deep breath. "I can't understand why you're fine with this?"

"I don't see you as a threat?" Narcissa was simple in her words. "You're not the type to try and threaten the status quo in a relationship, or try to steal another woman's husband. And I've told you that this is fine, while in your dream you weren't fine with it, yet James and Emma still proceeded to do what they did. Except in that dream it wasn't behind your back, but right in front of you, making it quite clear what kind of marriage situation you were in. And yes, I remember Emma. She was always – different. She's always cared about the pleasures of life, rather than the joys of life. This baby, it's going to be a joy. And I'll make sure you can get out of here, you and your baby."

"That…"

"Let me rephrase that. You and our baby, you're going to get out of her safely. This little one is all three of ours, and once this war is over, I and Lucius will see that things work out as well, no matter which way the wind blows. Let's just hope it blows in the right direction, and not to that madman."
