"How do you know us?" Piper asked. Chris' face stiffened. Piper tapped her fingers on the counter awaiting an answer. "Let's just say I know you.. or at least I will." He answered, looking down at his feet.
"Will" Piper, questioning his words.
"I'm from the future" he explained. "Perfect" Piper commented.
Present time
Chris' words took a while to settle in Piper's head. When they did she sighed and turned to Paige saying "now we have another psychopath on our hands, I told you this was a bad idea." Piper slammed the towel the was on her shoulder on the counter before turning to exit the kitchen.
"No, wait" Chris pleaded, grabbing her wrist. Piper turned around, looking down at her wrist then at Chris "Please, just hear me out." He continued pleading, his eyes staring into Piper's. Chris' efforts paid off as Piper nodded "fine."
Bright blue white lights filled the kitchen as Leo orbed into the room. "Finally, Leo, where have you been?" Piper asked, completely forgetting that Chris was about to explain himself. "The elders said something about someone entering our time this morning." Leo explained. "From the future?" Piper asked. Leo nodded then noticed a young man in the room holding his wife's wrist.
"He's telling the truth" Paige said. Piper nodded acknowledging her sister's comment. Leo's face mimicked his thoughts of utter confusion. Still not taking his eyes off of Chris. He already didn't like him, the dude who was latched onto his wife's wrist like a little kid.
"Piper, who is that?" Leo asked, motioning to Chris. Realizing that Chris' hand was still around her wrist, Piper pulled away. Chris tried to hide his blushing but the moment was too awkward.
"This is Chris" Paige interjected. "Innocent?" Leo asked. "Nope" Piper said "guess again?" she asked. Leo though for a while until Paige commented "He's from the future."
Phoebe sat at the penthouse at the kitchen table drinking coffee. Out of her entire life it was the only thing that stayed with her. The only thing that she could remember through every thing that had happened in her crazy life. As a kid she would wake up to the smell of Grams brewing a pot in the kitchen. As a teenager it got her through the wild nights and sleepless days. Then she became a witch and everything changed. Most of all, she changed. Still this one thing didn't. It was her drug.
At first her sister's were. No matter how mad they got at her or how far apart they were, she always had her sisters. When she came back form New York, Piper welcomed her back with open arms, forgetting she had left them. On the other hand Prue hadn't, but in time she did.
When Prue died Piper was heartbroken and Phoebe was there to put her back together. No one could, not even Leo, not even Paige. Somehow in losing Prue, Piper and herself grew even closer.
Then she had to make the choice between her sisters. Not only her sisters but her best friend the only person who was there her whole life, her big sister. Somewhere between everything she let that go and chose Cole.
So now the only thing that has been here her whole life no matter what was simply: coffee. It was really stupid in a way and made absolutely no sense. And in a way it made all the sense in the world. It had seen all sides of her. The good and the bad, the scared and the joyful.
Sitting there at the table taking a drink of the mug of coffee she felt completely at ease. The dark brown liquid relaxed her as it flowed through her body. The mug was her favorite, Piper and herself had brought it for Prue when they found out they were witches. On the inside a triquetra was painted at the bottom.
Phoebe suddenly felt a jolt of electricity hit her seeing a witch standing at the other side of the room. The witch, who was a woman, moved her hand out again sending a lightning bolt towards Phoebe. She, however, duck out of the way sending back fire at the woman. It enlightened her setting her on fire and eventually she burst into flames.
Phoebe walked out of the room and assumed that her day was off to a bad start. She didn't even notice the spilt coffee all over the floor and the mug shattered into pieces.
"Chris" Leo said pulling him to the side as the four adults exited the kitchen. Leo waited 'til Piper and Paige were out of hearing range until he said "the elders don't know why you are here and they don't like it." "So?" Chris said, not really caring about what Leo had to say. He tried to walk past Leo and out of the kitchen but from behind him Leo said "Don't think that they won't learn why you're here." Chris turned around and looked at Leo and replied "It's best the less you all know."
"Leo" Piper yelled from the observatory. With that the two men walked to the observatory, the sisters were awaiting what Chris had to say.
