Right so I know I haven't updated in a really long time but I am in year 12 and I have shit loads of work to get done, I have been studying for about four hours and thought I should take a break to let my creative side flow a bit before going back to it, so here I go into the wizarding world and out of child care!
"Everyone I expect two rolls of parchment on the life of a Bow truckle on my desk on Monday"
Everyone groaned at the thought of homework.
As Remus grabbed his books and headed towards the door he bumped into Sirius, he blushed and apologized quickly.
"It's all good, hey Remus I was wondering…"
Remus looked over to him as they made their way back to their common room.
"Yeah?"
"Do you want to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?" he spoke casually.
Is this a date? Wait Sirius isn't gay, or is he? Wait a minute he doesn't even like me like that never mind anyways
"Remus?"
"Oh sorry, say that again?"
"Would you like to go on a trip to Hogsmeade with me this weekend? We could grab some butter beer, visit the joke shop and Honey dukes"
"You mean it'll just be us?" Remus spoke, unsure.
Sirius grinned his charming smile that got him every time.
"Is that alright?"
"Of course it is!" he spoke too quickly.
"I mean, yeah, that's fine"
Sirius smiled at Remus as he awkwardly walked away from him, he was cute when he was embarrassed. Wait what? Cute?
"Okay cool, do you want to leave Saturday morning after breakfast?"
"Sounds good?"
After Remus's awkward conversation with Sirius he rushed to find James.
"James!" he stopped his panicking once he saw that he was sitting in a corner talking with lily, and she appeared to be fine, in fact she seemed to enjoy the smiles he was giving her, he was a big flirt James was…it was a lot of the time annoying but in this instance it was sweet.
James and Lily turned to see who it was, Remus gave James a look, and he needed to talk to him.
James said something to Lily and she nodded in understanding. They both stood up and to James' surprise as well as Remus' Lily kissed him on the cheek. James smiled bashfully and turned towards Remus looking very proud.
"I'm guessing you too worked things out then?"
"Yeah, she was a bit nervous when she came and spoke to me but we worked it all out?"
"So you too are dating now then?"
"I guess, we never used the word date she just said that she would like to see more of me in the way that I would like, as long as I did my best to be respectful of Snivellous…I mean Severus"
Remus looked up him disapproving.
"I love her, I'll do anything to be with her, and I'll even be nice to Snape if that's what it will take"
Remus smiled then remembered what he came to talk to him about.
He blushed and spoke quickly.
"Sirius invited me to go with him to Hogsmeade tomorrow"
"Wait a minute…just the two of you?"
Remus nodded.
"And you're super happy about this because?"
"Oh come on you know why! Don't make me say it!"
James grinned.
"I knew it! You like Sirius…well and I guess…does that mean that you like guys…then?" James said awkwardly.
Remus looked him in the eyes and spoke truthfully.
"Yeah…It does"
"Okay that's cool"
"I assumed it would be, you're a bit of a jerk sometimes but I think it's safe to say that without me you're test results would be at an all-time low" Remus laughed at the end of his sentence.
"Hey, Remus you're my friend… And not just because you help me with my homework sometimes…or do my homework sometimes"
"More than sometimes"
James placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Do you want my advice then?"
"Sure why not?"
"Because I give terrible advice"
"Ugh fine"
"No, no sorry, um just, I'm not one hundred percent sure that Sirius is gay"
Remus facial expression didn't change much.
"You okay?"
"I never assumed he was or that even if he was I didn't assume he would like me anyway"
"Hey, don't say that you're a lovely guy Remus"
"Thanks James, you're a good friend"
"Sirius has a couple of girlfriends, obviously, he's that kind of guy but he has told me that in the past he has fooled around with a couple of guys"
"Wouldn't that make me another experiment then?"
"Absolutely not"
James looked serious.
"The first couple of times it was but after a while Sirius told me that he liked it"
"Besides, Sirius likes you, and I mean that he smiles at you all the time, he looks at you when you're not looking, He really enjoys spending time with you, and he's told me"
"He has?"
"Really, just be careful about how you go about it is all I'm saying, but hey at the end of the day, he asked you to go with him to Hogsmeade, just the two of you, sounds like he's got a plan, just go along and see what he's got in store for you, you might be surprised"
Remus woke up on Saturday morning very excited, he couldn't wait to spend the day with Sirius, he loved his company, he really just loved him if he was honest, and being around him was intoxicating.
As he went down to breakfast he saw Sirius already sitting in their usual seats, he hurried over to join him.
Sirius smiled at him as he sat down.
"Morning Remus, you ready for our trip"
"Yeah, it'll be fun"
They sat in silence as they ate, just enjoying each other's company.
Once they had finished their breakfast they headed out of the castle towards Hogsmeade.
"Where should we go first?" Sirius asked Remus.
"Where do you want to go?"
"I asked you first" Sirius said simply.
"Honey dukes?"
"Honey Dukes it is then"
As they walked Sirius reflected on why he asked Remus to go to Hogsmeade with him in the first place.
Do I like him? Well come on yeah I sort of do, but does he?
"Remus what are your parents like?
"Oh um, they're lovely I suppose"
"You suppose?
"I just don't know any other way to put it, they love me very much, they occasionally fight which is annoying but in the end they're always there for me"
There was a moment of silence before Remus spoke.
"What about yours?
"Oh err, I don't…I mean, I just don't really-
Remus placed a hand on his shoulder for a moment.
"It's okay you don't have to talk if you don't want to"
Sirius smiled at Remus's understanding and they had finally reached Hogsmeade.
Sirius smiled as he saw the reactions Remus gave towards the winter wonderland around him, the tops of buildings were covered in snow, lamps lit up around them as per usual and through the windows of Honey dukes, all the sweets and chocolates you could imagine were found.
"So I'm guessing you're enjoying the scenery?"
Remus grinned and held out his hand as an almost perfect snowflake headed down towards him, he looked at it in amazement. Sirius raised an eyebrow.
Remus seemed to know what Sirius was thinking.
"I have seen snowflakes before" he said without taking his eyes off of it.
"It's just…"
"What?"
"This one, it's….it's almost too perfect, this place…"
Remus looked sad for a moment and Sirius wondered what on earth could be wrong.
Remus turned to face Sirius, forgetting the snowflake.
"I know this is going to sound…..I don't know, pathetic I guess but, thank you"
"For what?"
"For being my friend" he said simply. Sirius smiled.
"I just want to be one hundred per cent truthful, so no matter how odd this sounds, it's good for me, to hang out with you, James and Peter, like mentally, does that make sense?"
Instead of responding Sirius simply pulled his close friend into a hug, Remus felt pathetic for almost wanting to cry, although he found Sirius very attractive, that didn't matter in this moment, this wonderful person hugging him truly enjoyed his company, cared for him, in more ways than one, and it made his heart swell with a happiness he could not describe.
Once they pulled away, they gave each other a smile and Sirius spoke.
"Does butter beer sound good to you?"
"I don't think I've ever had it"
"What!"
Remus raised both eyebrows at Sirius's reaction.
"Sorry, just very surprised, but come on seriously you will thank me"
They both made their way to the three broomsticks, Sirius inhaling the delicious smell he had grown accustomed to over the years during his visits to the welcoming place.
"Two butter beers please" Sirius said the bartender, the man poured them both a glass, Sirius counted out the four sickles he owed and they both made their way to a seat.
"Cheers" Sirius declared as they clanked their glasses together. Remus made a verbal noise of satisfaction as he felt the warm sweet liquid make its way down his throat, it was delicious! It wasn't too sweet to be sickly (unlike butterscotch) and he immediately needed to voice his opinion.
"I believe that was the most delicious thing I have ever consumed in my life"
"See I told you" he said, grinning that wonderful grin.
Remus picked up his glass and took another sip of butter beer. Sirius watched him and thought to himself.
"Remus"
"Yes" he said after putting the glass back down.
"The other day when you cast that silencing charm on James" Remus blushed.
"Who is it that you've got the hots for? My curiosity is becoming too much for me to handle to be honest"
Remus didn't believe he had blushed this much before, what should he say?
"Um…"
"Remus I won't judge you or anything mate, I know you're into guys"
Remus looked up in surprise.
"James didn't tell me don't worry, I could sort of tell, last week I saw you checking out James in potions class, it wasn't long but I could definitely tell"
This made Remus all the more embarrassed, he did indeed check out James, his friend was looking particularly handsome that day and he couldn't help himself, but it was Sirius whom he truly was attracted to, and perhaps even had feelings for.
"Remus?" Sirius pulled him out of his thoughts.
"I don't know if I can tell you" he said truthfully.
Is it me that he likes? He's showing all the telltale signs, but maybe I've just got a big head and I'm assuming
"Remus…is it me that you like?"
Remus had not prepared himself for that.
He blushed furiously and stared at the table, refusing to look up at his friend.
Sirius knew from his reaction that he was correct in his assumption; he reached across the table for Remus's hand. Remus looked up at the gesture, not at Sirius.
"Remus look at me please"
A very frightened Remus looked up at the beautiful black haired boy sitting across from him.
Sirius saw many emotions in Remus's eyes, the main one being fear, but he also saw hope.
"I'm sorry" Remus muttered as he looked back down at the table.
Sirius couldn't take it anymore; he couldn't take seeing Remus like this, he had no doubts in his mind about how Remus felt about him, so it was time to let him know how he felt.
"Come on" Sirius said standing.
"What?" Remus said quietly, confused about what was happening.
"We're going"
Remus said nothing and followed Sirius out of the three broomsticks.
Sirius took Remus's hand and led him to an empty garden behind on of the older buildings, there was a bench and Sirius invited Remus to sit down next to him.
Remus was very nervous as Sirius leaned forward; just close enough to kiss but not enough.
"Sirius" Remus breathed.
Sirius smiled and moved his body closer before pressing his lips softly to Remus's.
Remus blushed and wasn't sure what to do, he had never been kissed like this, well he had never been kissed at all really, but it was the most wonderful sensation he had ever felt, he felt loved, protected and wanted all at once.
Sirius wrapped his arms around Remus and deepened the kiss, Remus moaned softly and place one hand around Sirius's waist and one in his hair tugging slightly.
Sirius gasped into Remus's mouth and continued to kiss him hard, determined to give Remus all the love and affection he deserved. Their mouths continued to move against each other, as though meant to be there, Remus was making the loveliest sounds Sirius had heard in a while and was feeling incredibly flattered that he was the one causing them. Sirius moved his lips to Remus's neck and kissed whatever skin he could find.
"Oh" Remus said in surprise, he never expected kissing to be this wonderful, maybe it was because it was with him, with Sirius.
Sirius moved back up to Remus's lips, this time pushing his tongue inside softly, Remus groaned in delight and held Sirius tighter.
Sirius pulled his lips away for a moment, still keeping his mouth very close to Remus's. He stared into Remus's eyes.
"I like you too Remus" He said softly
