"Why don't you speak to Narcissa about it, then? You of all people should know that I know next to nothing about women." Lucius Malfoy frowned, wondering why his best friend had to come to him for advice.

Lucius had spent 3 long years drooling over Narcissa before she finally realized he liked her and took matters into his own hands. Severus smirked at the memory.

13-year old Narcissa Black strode through the halls of hogwarts, her ponytail bouncing behind her. She looked around for a few moments before glaring at anyone in sight, as if it were their fault that she could not find whomever she was looking for.

"Where is Lucius Malfoy?"

The crowd separated to reveal a tall, handsome boy, about her age, with sharp gray eyes and long blonde hair that he kept in a ponytail. He stared at her, tongue-tied, before a dark, hooked-nose boy elbowed him, muttering: "Stop acting like a fool and say something!"

Lucius blinked and offered Narcissa a hand.

"Lucius Malfoy, at your service."

She smirked and pushed his hand aside, instead leaning forward to place a kiss on his cheek.

"Malfoy, after much consideration, I have decided that you are my new boyfriend. Any objections?"

He stared at her, shocked into silence.

Narcissa grinned. "I thought so. You are to meet me at the lake in 30 minutes to discuss 'us'. Understood?"

Lucius nodded, not trusting his voice. After she left, Severus rolled his eyes.

"Honestly, must you always act like such a Hufflepuff?"

A sharp clicking sound brought Severus back to the present. He spun around, looking for the source of the sound. Ah, Narcissa's heels on the marble floor.

"May I suggest that you speak to Miss Silvia about Memoria Venenum? Perhaps you should ask if you should add some extra ingredients to it, just for the purpose of your…personal investigation." Narcissa smirked and leaned against the doorframe, watching as Severus realized the implications of what she said.

"That witch obliviated me!"

Narcissa rolled her eyes.

"Took you long enough, snarky."

Severus glared at her half-heartedly, recognizing the term of endearment from their teenage years.

"I would love to stay and chat, bossy, but I've got a trigger-happy DADA teacher to deal with."

Narcissa shrugged.

"Go ahead. I've got to punish pointy…I mean Lucius for being such a clueless dunderhead and leaving all the work to me."
