Holidays 2015 Special : Ashley's Little Helpers [Part 1/3]

These events took place after Ash had recovered his memory and tried to bury his alter ego, Ashley, back into his bedroom's closet. He even had the courage to confess to his mom that he was not identifying himself as a girl, but did appreciate to wear Ashley's dress once in a while. He could not come with a conclusive reason as to why he felt that occasional urge to cross dress and why it felt nice to, but he had explained that it was something he'd rather do in the privacy of his bedroom. "I hope you understand, mom, I'm sorry." had said Ash.

Two months later, snow was covering all Pallet Town and likely the rest of the continent, the holidays were coming soon. Ash carefully made sure his bedroom door was locked this time and ran his fingers on Ashley's dress, but was unsure if he felt like wearing it, wearing his mom's gift, the blue dress or even the maid dress he had been offered by Erika, he even had more options than those. During Ashley's adventure, Ash had gathered quite a wardrobe of dresses and girl's clothes. Most of them were boxed and stored in the basement, but his most precious ones were still hanging in his closet.

Delia was walking up the stairs when she heard Ash's door lock and a faint smile appeared on her face. She sneaked to her bedroom and also closed her bedroom door before laying on her bed to look at the family photos on her night stand. One was Delia and Ash on his first day as a Pokemon trainer, and there was another framed picture of Delia and Ashley, also on her first day as a Pokemon trainer. Delia felt terrible when Ash confessed his interest of closet dressing, that she misunderstood and dragged him to the shopping district in a dress. Still, one side of her heart misses Ashley like if she had lost her daughter, but slightly warms up knowing Ashley is just behind that locked door.

Someone's knocking at the door. Delia takes a kiss on Ashley's picture and leaves it back on her night stand. "I wonder who it might be this late." thought Delia. As she passes Ash's bedroom door, she slightly test the knob to see if it's still locked and noticed it still was. "I guess he... she isn't done." she whispered to herself. The knocking caught her attention again and she rushed down the stairs.

Ash still can't figure out which dress to wear and laid down on his bed between two of the dresses. Although those are his favorites he keep feeling like he'd need to get a new dress, but feels shy to ask his mom or even to head out to try them and make sure they fit before spending a month's allowance on a dress too small or too large, nor could he face the cashier to get it exchanged for the right size.

Then he snapped out of his thoughts when he thought he had heard someone trying to pick is knob's lock.
