They got separated. It happened so fast that Sally could barely comprehend it. Michonne had given him this look – like for the first time since they met that she didn't know what to do. Her survival instincts taking over when she didn't move to help him. Her eyes saying to forget her forget everything and run. Run like his mother had taught him. "Get to the sugar cane!" She screamed and half the walkers went after her. That phrase was Sally's trigger and he bolted. Not looking back in fear that he might catch a glimpse of those things tearing into her. Or gnarled broken teeth catching his flesh and infecting him. So he ran until he couldn't hear those damn things behind him. They had lost his scent or gotten distracted he didn't care. His mind was on Michonne. And to a lesser extent their new friend…the blond girl. Sally couldn't think of her name to save his life right now.
He wanted to double back. Wanted to know for sure. But when he reached a clearing a bullet whizzed past his head. He was so startled he lost his balance and went tumbling into the dirt. "Don't shoot!" he yelled and put up his hands. Several men were on him in seconds. Not walkers – live men. They grabbed his arms and took his stuff before binding his wrist together. "No, no I have to go! Give that back I have to get to her."
"What's he babbling about?" He got a firm smack across the face and stumbled back into someone. They held him still and he looked up at the burly man that struck him. He looked down his nose at Sally and smirked. "You alone boy?"
"Boy?" Sally let go of the condescending remark and looked back. "No, no. My girl. She's back there. I have to go for her."
"You know where you are? You ain't going no where."
"That's the red zone. She's dead now."
"Get him in the gate."
"No!" Sally resisted when they pulled him along after them.
"Fuck it just shoot him."
"Or we could just knock him out." Sally looked at the man that suggested that. His voice far too gentle in the group of roughnecks that was hauling him around like he weighed nothing. He adjusted his glasses before he winced a little. A second later something hit Sally in the back of the head.
"He's not concussed. No signs of infection. Had a bunch of Benadryl on him for some reason. Still had his wallet on him too – names Salvador Morena of Columbia."
"Mi-mi." Sally said as he opened his eyes. Someone was talking about him. He spotted the black woman but frowned when he saw that she was not Michonne. He looked at the man next to her and he smiled a little.
"Sorry for the rough treatment partner. But we couldn't worry the whole town with your hysterics." He said like he and Sally were old friends. Sally just stared at him as he sat up.
"Who are you?" He asked. "Where am I?"
"People call me the Governor. And you're in Woodbury."
Sally was in a daze for a long time after he got to Woodbury. The Governor understood his despair over losing someone he loved and gave him time to grieve. But when he thought it was enough he pulled Sally out of his stupor and gave him back his cane sword. He put Sally in what was basically a hit squad with other hardened men. Merle, Caesar and Shrumpert were…okay. They played cards and went on runs. They put Sally on guard and he'd mow down walkers that dared to cross his path. He was really just going through the motions. Trying not to think about Michonne or he'd start seeing her again. It was especially hard when he woke up in the morning – he'd see her leaning over him as he dreams evaporated and he'd sit up thinking it was true. His heart broke all over again when he realized he was alone. Sometimes he wasn't alone but ol' 'what's-her-name' was not a suitable replacement for Michonne. No woman was.
The worst part was that there were people her color in Woodbury. He'd get a glimpse of Doctor Stephens and his heart would race until he realized the woman was to old, fat and tall to be his Michonne. "Get over it, amigo." Caesar said after Sally let out a long sigh. "You got Rowen frothing at the crotch for you."
"Yeah, go after her so the Governor can cut your dick off for horning in on his squeeze." Merle said. "No, Sal here likes a more rotund ass in his lap. And from the way he keeps drooling over Doc Stephens I'm gonna assume he race trades. I've got just the thing for you buddy. Just arrived last night courtesy of yours truly. Now I'm only half sure that she's not a little rug muncher for ol' Andrea but I think you can turn her with that suave beaner-speak of yours."
"Who's Andrea?" Sally asked – ignoring nearly all the stupid shit that just came out of Merle's mouth. The man was just the worst kind of person – and Sally counted the time he traded a dancer for a car. But in his defense it was a nice car and the girl was a shitty dancer.
"Don't even think about it. I've been trying to hit that since I had both hands." Merle said. "But she'll introduce you her little dark friend."
The new women intrigued Sally. Merle painted a nice picture – they were young, cute and alone. It had been a while since anyone came to Woodbury. After he got there it had been only women with kids and his bitter heart wouldn't let him be saddled with that kind of baggage. He spotted the new blond girl easily. She stood out as Rowen showed her around. For a second he thought she looked familiar but he shrugged it off. He heard a commotion behind him and nearly jumped out of his skin when someone grabbed his arm. For a moment he couldn't believe his eyes, which is why he squeezed them shut and turned away.
"It's not her. Get a grip and see who it really is." He told himself before he turned back. When he opened his eyes he saw Michonne again and shut them with a curse. "I'm sorry – did you need something cause I think I'm having a nervous break down right now."
"So now you freak out in open spaces too?" She asked. His eyes snapped open at the sound of her voice.
"Mi-mi." He gasped and she glared at him.
"If that nickname catches on I'll kill you." She warned.
"Oh my God, it's really you." He didn't know what to do. He looked around before he put his hands on her shoulders. "Oh shit. Oh shit. You're real."
"What the hells the matter with you?" She asked.
"I'm freaking out." He admitted.
"Well stop it. That Governor guy is watching you." She said as she swatted his hands away.
"Mi-mi—"
"Shit he's coming over." She said quickly.
"Making friends, Sal?" Governor asked and plastered on his 'easy' smile.
"Actually I already know her." Sally said quickly.
"Well that's…great."
"Yeah, so great. I'm gonna show her around – right now. Come on Michonne I got something incredible to show you." He grabbed her arm and pulled her away. They could feel the Governor's eyes on their backs. He just brought her back to the building he lived in and pushed her into his room. He shut the door and locked it.
"You wanna have sex? Now?" She asked.
"No…no." He wrung his hands like he was trying to get a hold of himself. "Mierde." He advanced on her and she flinched when he pulled her into a hug. She gripped the sides of his shirt. She was about to pull away when she heard him sob. "No debí haber dejado. Debí venir volver enseguida pero fui secuestrado por estos bastardos y no me ayudan a encontrar. Y Dios estaba tan asustada había comido y no podía pensar. Perdóname. ¡Perdóname, por favor!" He babbled and she patted his back until he calmed down. She wondered if he even realized he was speaking Spanish and that she couldn't understand him. For a moment she wanted to roll her eyes at his breakdown – wondering what happened to her Sally. She felt terrible when she actually felt tears on her shoulder. Losing her had ruined him. She had to admit it was a miracle that they found each other the first time but she had the fortune to run across him a second time and without even realizing it they had started a life together. It wasn't the great romance story you saw in movies but it was theirs and for a long time they were all they had. But here she was finding him for a third time and she understood how overwhelmed with joy he was. She felt it in the way he held her.
"Sally…" She whispered and he let out a string of little hysterical whimpers as he reaffirmed his hold on her.
"Nunca te dejaré ir otra vez. Nunca." He leaned back and kissed her cheek rapidly. She turned her head and caught his next kiss with her lips. He cupped her face and held her to him for a long beat.
"I missed you too." She sighed.
Sally sucked his teeth when there was a knock on the door. He opened his eyes and looked over when Michonne rested her chin on his shoulder. He caught one of her dreads between his fingers and she glanced him. "You better get that, they keep coming back every hour." She said and rolled her eyes. He groaned and rolled out of bed. He wasn't planning on getting up at all today. His reunion with Michonne had been quite passionate and the thought of leaving his room – or leaving her – was too much to think about. He spent half the night watching her sleep. And when she woke up she smiled at him and he knew he'd be useless for the next few days. Nevertheless he pulled on his pants and opened the door a crack.
"What?" He asked after a second or two of looking at Merle.
"Hate to break up the honeymoon but you still got stuff to do." He answered. "Been sending guys here all day to raise your ass now get moving."
"I think I earned a day off." Sally said. "Take what's-his-face – get him his training wheels like the Governor wants."
"Don't start slipping, Sal." Merle said.
"You're the one with butter on his shoes. Tell the Governor I'll be good by fight-night."
"Okay." Merle said before he walked off. Sally closed the door and sighed. He took off his pants and crawled back into bed.
"What's fight night?" Michonne asked.
"Some stupid shit the Governor came up with to keep his adoring masses placated." Sally waved it off. He leaned over her. "What's your first impression of this place?"
"It's fucking creepy. Feel naked without my sword. Like shit will go down any minute and I'll get killed cause he won't let women carry weapons." Michonne said.
"Don't hold back tell me how you really feel." He said sarcastically. "And you are naked – that's why you feel naked." He dipped his head and kissed the space between her breasts.
"I want to leave." She said. He raised his head and looked at her.
"Okay." He said. "When?"
"In a few days when Andrea is better." She answered as she combed her fingers through his hair. It had gotten so much longer since the last time she saw him. And he had a few more gray hairs. Physically he hadn't changed that much but mentally... He seemed a little too cozy with the people of Woodbury but she assumed that was a survival tactic. He was still down to do what ever she wanted and she couldn't ask for more than that.
"Okay." He repeated before he went back to what he was doing. Michonne put her head back a moaned when he took her nipple in his mouth and laved over it before doing the same to the other.
"Think we can take this bed with us when we go?" she asked. Sally just hummed as he made his was down her body. Michonne let her legs fall open when he slid his hand down. He pushed his fingers inside her and she pulled his hair a little. He shifted all the way on top of her and pulled her legs around him. She keened when he replaced his fingers with his cock. Her hands shot up to his tattoo covered shoulders and he leaned down to kiss her as he started his ardent thrusting. It was amazing to have her again. It was just like he remembered it – how it went in his dreams for the past several months. The loss of which had him spiraling into a deep depression. Merle was convinced that all pussy was the same and that was why Merle was an imbecile. Cause Sally had had other women while he was in Woodbury and they were the most lackluster lays of his life. Michonne was just better. She was tighter. She was wetter. And the way she moaned just sounded sweeter in his ears.
Michonne pushed him over and he rolled on to his back. He helped her straddle him and put his head back when he reentered her. "Fuck yes!" He moaned and gripped her hips. He loved watching her ride him like that. She raked her nails down his chest and he was coming. "Shit!" He lifted her off him quickly and came all over his stomach. She sighed – a little disappointed until he pulled her up. She looked at him a little confused when he shimmied down until she was straddling his face.
"Sally!" She moaned and hunched over a bit when he put his mouth on her. She tried to ease up a little but he hooked his arms over her legs and sucked her clit until she screamed. She gripped his hair and bucked into his tongue. God, the man could eat and he would never disappoint her ever again. He moaned into her and that was all she could take. She was coming so hard she couldn't even scream. She face planted into the mattress and panted as it tapered off. She was dozing when Sally patted her butt. "Not again already, I need a minute here." She moaned.
"I need my head back." He said – a little muffled from how she had her thighs tensed around his cheeks. She looked down and realized she still had his hair in a death grip. She snorted and released him. He eased her over and sat up. "I think you squirted on me." He commented as he wiped the excess fluid from his chin.
"Mad?" She asked as she watched him take up a towel to clean himself up.
"Mad? About making you come so hard you actually…cum? No. Never." Sally smiled as he crawled back into bed.
"Bout time." Merle said when Sally walked into the communal shower. Rather than hook up every room in the community they just made two – one for women and one for men. "Thought you'd never pull your face out… you smell terrible." He held his nose as Sally walked by.
"That, my pasty friend is the sweet smell of a deeply satisfied woman." Sally said. "And you can't appreciate it because you've never satisfied a woman – ever."
"He's just jealous, hermano." Caesar said as he fist bumped Sally. "The rest of us are happy you found her. You look like a new man…but yeah grab some soap, hit that quick."
"Not a new man. Just my old self." He said as he turned on the water.
"Might not be that way for long. Governor said she wants to leave." Merle said.
"I know that." Sally shrugged.
"Tonight." Sally paused as he pulled his shirt over his head. He showered quickly and went in search of Michonne but he couldn't find her anywhere. He spotted Andrea and caught up to her.
"The Governor just told me she pulled her sword on him." She said as she hurried to get back to their room. They both looked at Michonne as she ran about the room.
"We gotta get out of here, now!" She said.
"Why? What did you do?" Sally asked. She glared at him.
"Me? All I wanted was my weapon back. I didn't want to hurt anyone but he forced my hand. Speaking of which why couldn't you get it back for me?" She asked quickly.
"You were gonna get it back once we were prepared to leave." Sally answered. "We can't leave tonight they're counting on me."
"For what?" Andrea asked.
"Governor said it's a surprise." Merle said as he walked in the room. He gave Sally a look. "Governor said they go now."
"Both of us?" Andrea asked. Merle nodded.
"Stay here." Michonne said. Sally looked at her like she was crazy. "If they need you, stay here and we'll meet up later but I'm going right now." She shouldered her pack and pushed past him. Sally pleaded with her all the way to gate and glared at Merle when he just opened it and gestured for her to go out. Andrea ended up staying too and they watched until Michonne was out of sight.
