After a few uncomfortable hours in the limo, all of them pulled up to the resort condo that was going to serve as their vacation home. It was gigantic, with over 10 rooms, and two swimming pools. The only problem was...everything was pink.
The hell...Did a My Little Pony throw up on it or was it painted with stomach medicine? Light thought moodily as he walked up the steps with Misa running behind him. Let's just hope we could find some more copies of that contract...the sooner the better to get out of this hell-hole.
Misa rushed ahead to the top of the stairs and stopped at the giant double doors. "Welcome Light! And other unmentionables...But mostly Light! To the Pink Paradise! Just go on in and pick whichever room you want and make yourselves at home. Plus, there are snacks and sweets in the lounge."
L perked up at the mention of sweets and snacks. Through the whole ride to the condo he couldn't eat anything and only because Misa was feeding everything she could get her hands on to Light. And Light didn't even like sweet things. In fact, he loathed them.
Saying a few more things and making a lot more winky faces at Light, Misa finally let the group go inside and get situated. As soon as he was inside the building Light took off at almost a dead run up the long staircase to the farthest room in the condo. Once he was there he slammed the door and locked. Then barricaded it with a small coffee table in the room.
Let's see the bitch get through that. He thought smugly as he turned to survey the room he picked. It was pink...with hearts...and candles...and photos on the wall...of HIM. He couldn't see any space on the wall that wasn't plastered with his face, or his arm, or his ass.
"The FUCK! Where did she get pictures of my ASS? No, no, no. These are definitely coming down, all of them." Going around the room he tore the multiple pictures of himself off the wall, tore them into pieces, and tossed them out the window and onto the beach.
On the other side of the condo L was methodically making his way through each room until he found one that didn't make his head spin with bright colors. This room only had a minimal touch of color and a smaller bed, but L didn't mind as long he was sure he wasn't going to suffocate in the pillows as he slept.
Throwing his small suitcase on the bed, he took his laptop and powered it on. While he was waiting for his screensaver to pop up he unpacked the rest of his suitcase. The only things he had in it was his regular long-sleeve white shirt, jeans, shoes (for if the sand is extremely hot on the beach), a few puzzle books, and locks, lots and lots of padlocks.
Taking the padlocks he then proceeded to place three down the side of his door and lock them in place. Now I feel secure. And I don't have to worry about anyone bothering me. OR hurting anybody that does mess with me. Now, off to those snacks.
While L went back downstairs to find the sweets, Matsuda was toward the back of the condo selecting his room. He didn't mind the bright colors, all he wanted was a great view of the ocean or at least the swimming pools.
Finally he found one that was painted purple on the inside but head a wide view of the beach below. Feeling satisfied he plonked his suitcase on the bed and proceeded to take out the staple of Hawaiian dress: the multi-colored, two sizes too large Hawaiian shirt. He also threw in a pair of lime green shorts and a straw hat for good measure.
When he finished dressing into his vacation clothes Matsuda looked into his suitcase again and took out the boogie board he packed. "I could finally take a lesson in surf culture! Who knows? Maybe I would become Big Kahuna of the Beach! Yeah, that would be awesome."
Misa, on the other hand, had a way different plan in mind for the vacation. And all it involved was HER and LIGHT, NO ONE ELSE. She was going to make sure of that, one way or another. Why not try to get rid of his weird friends right now, why wait? I mean, does he really need best men? All he really needs is ME.
