''So Jacob Taylor, according to your file you were once an Allience soldier, why did you leave the Allience to join Cerberous?''

''I didn't like the way they did things, I know Cerberous don't have a clean past but they were the better out of the options I had'' said Jacob

''I understand that you were there once Alya woke up after being re-built?''

''Yeah, she saved me from the mechs that were re-programmed to take the tear the base apart'' replied Jacob

''What happened exactly?''

''I can't explain it, one minute I was about to get some shut eye, the next thing I know Mechs killed everyone apart me from and Shepard''

''I have noticed that not once did you all her by her first name or by her rank in any of your reports''

''She may have been our Commander but it was her rule about ranking that put me at ease, to be honest I didn't care for her first name. I just followed her orders''

''I take it she was a good commander then?''

''The best I ever served alongside'' he smiled

''How was your relationship with Shepard?''

''She never trusted Cerberous and to be honest I don't blame her, she made a point to help her crew out with any problem they had so we could focus on the collectors''

''Yes we've seen the report about what your father did''

''That was a bad day'' he hissed

''Is it true that Cerberous knew about the situation but kept it quiet?''

''I wouldn't surprise me, Cerberous always had to make sure they had something over you, even though you didn't have anything you wanted to lose''

''If that's true that must be why she refused to get in touch with her loved ones''

''It was the way Cerberous worked, but it's clear now that Shepard wasn't willing to take any chances while she made sure we took down the Collectors''

''Was it difficult to work alongside her?''

''No, nothing like that. We all knew the risks of the mission and she made us feel easier about it and made a point to take the burdens of everyone, plus we always got the coolest toys to play with as well''

''Did you admire her previous Allience records?''

''It's difficult not to as she had survived events that would break most soldiers''

''While you were on your mission do you feel that you were working for Cerberous?''

''No we worked for Shepard, got paid by Cerberous'' smiled Jacob

''So your saying that she made all the calls for the missions?''

''The Illusive man would issue us with missions and if she felt they were too dangerous she would tell him to go to hell, when she was told to focus on the collectors she ignored it to make sure we made the best gear and our minds in the best places before he hit the collector base with everything we could get our hands on''

''So her crew was more important than the mission itself?''

''No, she knew we needed us at our best so we could all walk out of there alive'' said Jacob, noticing they were clearly trying to twist his words

''Would you do it all again?''

''As long it was Shepard calling the shots, damn right I would?''

''What about Cerberous?''

''No I'm done with Cerberous. I was the moment the Illusive Man wanted the Collector base for himself as well as the human Reaper they were building''

''Cerberous is obviously in question here, so can you give us other examples where Cerberous made you doubt your work with them?''

''Cerberous leaked that Shepard was alive and heading towards the colony Horizon, they were the reason the collectors were there. She really had it out for the Illusive Man after that and kept Miranda at arm's length for a while, I can also mention that the Illusive man sent us into a trap in order to gain information that was just a hunch of his.''

''What changed their relationship?''

''You would have to ask her yourself, Miranda had always been a private person''

''We plan to. Now I feel I have to ask, why do you feel that Shepard shouldn't be charged with treason?''

''Because she's a damn hero, not once while I was working for her did she ever claim to be a part of Cerberous. I owe her my life as does everyone in this room. We would all go the hell and back fighting with her''

''Did she ever do anything that made you doubt her intention?''

''Not once'' he smiled

''Thank you for your time Jacob Taylor''

With that he matched down the stairs and saluted Shepard, causing a slight uproar from the defence committee
