Chapter 7 - Worries
Collaboration Between: strawburri and Hita-Chan
Disclaimer: We don't own Ouran...
It's been one week since Tamaki had dragged everyone out to the "commoner's" amusement park. Haruhi still hadn't spoken to Honey and he hadn't had the chance to talk to the girl and explain. He wanted so badly to tell her and apologize for the way he had acted, but she was acting like he had the bubonic plague.
"Have you talked to Haru-chan, Takashi?" he had asked his cousin one day.
"No," was the brief response he received.
"I hope she's okay…"
"Hn," Mori had agreed.
Honey stayed silent, he had never really told Mori about what had gone down in the waiting room that day. He hadn't wanted to bother him and now it was like months after the incident and he had hoped it would blow over…
-With Haruhi-
Haruhi sighed as she sipped her hot chocolate. It had been months since she and Mori had even spoken a word to each other. Her father was starting to become worried because she was acting so depressed. He was even more worried that she didn't even protest when he put her in a dress. The club members were also very worried. She wasn't speaking as much, and she didn't protest when the others dragged her some other place. She just sat quietly. She also looked quite soulless. Her clients noticed that when she smiled, it didn't reach her eyes anymore. Whenever someone asked if she was okay, she would just nod and 'smile.' They were all very worried, but they didn't know what to do...

But the day it crossed Honey's mind if felt like an epiphany had happened but it really wasn't that great of a realization. He knew that he should tell Mori about his plan but was too excited to do that at the moment. I'll do it later! he thought quickly to himself and then ran off to the back of the club room to begin planning out his newly discovered scheme.
Mori watched his cousin go, confused about what he was up to. He decided not to follow the boy, figuring that his cousin would tell him about it later. So instead he shifted his eyes back over to Haruhi, where they had been almost this entire time, and watched her carefully as she cleaned up. She had bags under her eyes that he could tell she had tried to cover up, her eyes were dim and dreary, no longer having all the color and life they used to, she was definitely paler, her skin no longer having its usual glow, and her mouth seeming to stay in a small frown or a firm straight line. He frowned himself, immensely worried for the girl.
Not only was he worried about her but also Honey. He had been acting different since the family outing they had what seemed like years ago. He let a soundless sigh slip through his lips and leaned back against his chair. He didn't like not knowing things. Especially when it was Honey they revolved around. He just couldn't figure out what could have possibly happened to make his cousin and the brunette so distant. Yes, even Honey had become more distant. He doesn't realize it but he has as well. Mainly he's thinking up new ways to get the two closest people in his life together, Honey isn't trying to worry his cousin.
Honey came back out and grabbed Haruhi's hand and started rushing her to the back room, not leaving any room for her to argue even if she was going to. Haruhi didn't appreciate being pulled off like that but wasn't going to say anything. Especially to Honey. He plopped her down next to him, looking down at the huge sheet of paper that he had scribbled all over in his small handwriting.
"Okay Haru-chan! Everyone's worried about you, Takashi is more than anyone else well maybe not your father, and I want to help!" Honey explained.
Her eyes were scanning every word on the paper, halfway listening to Honey.
"Haru-chan?" Honey waved in front of her face.
"What?" she asked coldly.
"Haru-chan, please, I'm sorry... I don't know how I didn't see it... I shouldn't have said that to you. You were probably just as depressed about the accident."
"See what...?" she asked confused.
"You don't need to hide it, Haru-chan! I know that you like Takashi!" Honey smiled.
Haruhi's lips went into a straight line and her eyes stared at Honey, emotionless.
"Haru-chan, I'm sorry... I really mean it! I hate seeing you like this and I can't help but feel like it's all my fault! Please forgive me and go back to how you used to be! Pretty please!"
She blinked, "It's not your fault, sempai..."
"Then what is it...?"
"I realized something that's all. Forget about it," she muttered and quickly got away from him and left the room.
