Sorry for the late update but Uni started and I got lost in academia but one particular reviewer pushed me to update soon! So here's the next chap without further ado:

Sjritts: Thank you! Glad you liked it and yeah why not drag someone down with you when doing something completely irresponsible!

NarniaPrincess12: So happy to hear you like my OC's, that means a lot! Nat is sorta based on my own best friend who has stayed by my side through thick and thin and you'll see all the other characters soon :D

Psalmreader: Thanks! And you'll get all your answers eventually :)

Jo: Thank you so for your review and input, I loved reading it and I agree it is a difficult decision for her, but this is an opportunity Morgana just can't let go of, so her decision will come for her compulsive/impulsive side.

Wandering Princess: Oh you make me blush! :P thanks a lot and here's an update!

LifeIndeed: You are the sweetest! You say my story made your night but your lovely reviews made my morning! And because of them I decided to upload quickly because honestly it makes me so happy to hear from you :D (sorry for keeping you up but we've all been there cuz of fanfic haven't we? I have a class right now too but I'm typing this instead :P) You don't need to write paragraph lengths, your reviews already let me know that you like the story and I truly appreciate it more than you know. Hope you enjoy this chapter as well!

As always, please let me know if you find any mistakes and I shall correct them!

Delilah's green eyes were glistening with tears. "I'll miss you so much."

"Oh Delilah. Come here." He wrapped his arms around her while she quietly sobbed.

"I'll miss you greatly too. But believe me, Rita will take good care of you. After all, she's about to hire the best receptionist London has to offer."

Delilah chuckled softly despite herself. "Oh shut up Dr. Reid."

Merlin kissed her forehead and said farewell.

As soon as he exited the building, his phone beeped with a new text. It read: "I'm done with the goodbyes. Meet me at the shop."

"They bought your Scotland story?" he messaged back.

"Well, I know it seems a little weird to suddenly want to take a month off and go for a holiday in Scotland with my new boyfriend, but did you forget what a convincing liar I am? Told them I needed to unwind, besides, I have a feeling I'm going to be fired soon anyway. You can't take that many breaks that frequently and expect them to still keep you around."

Morgana had known a month wouldn't be nearly enough, after all this wasn't one of her shows where everything would reach its climax and wrap up nicely in the last five minutes, this was her life and there was no way she'd be able to tie up all the loose ends and leave no strings hanging. But that was all she had asked from Merlin, and now that it had come to an end her mind was filled with the thousand other things that needed to be done before she could leave. But delaying only caused her to rethink everything, and the more she thought, the more she doubted this was something she should do at all. But she couldn't let this opportunity slide. So she plucked up the courage and told everyone she was heading to Scotland for a few weeks. Nat was less than thrilled but sighed and told her to keep in touch while she was there. Her parents weren't too happy either but Wayne was the most disappointed. He had hoped that just like all the other times Aisleen would manage to brush it off and bounce back, but he could tell that this time something was different. This time she was not going to return, and it saddened him immensely because he never thought someone as determined and strong willed as her would crumble to the disease that plagued her mind.

They were standing amongst heaps of colorful clothes in a dingy little costume shop. After she had agreed to his offer, Merlin's first suggestion was to hit the stores to purchase a few 6th century apparels since they couldn't just pop in Camelot wearing jeans and MLK tee shirts.

But she didn't realize that his definition of a store was a tiny shop in a derelict alley in the suburbs. Sure she understood why he brought them here, it was the perfect place for Merlin's clothes, but even cosplay material was better than what she'd seen here so far for her own shopping. Despite rummaging through endless rows of dresses she failed to find one that fit the bill.

Merlin was impatiently tapping his foot beside her. He had already gathered an entire outfit that was almost identical to his usual attire in Camelot, the red scarf, faded brown jacket and breeches, complete with the boots.

She knew he was probably wondering why she was creating such a fuss over clothes when the last few years of her previous life she'd dressed in nothing but rags. But if they were really going to start all over, she wanted to it properly. She was going to be Lady Morgana again, someone the entire Kingdom looked up to, someone with enough power and influence to bring about real drastic change, instead of the outcast who'd failed to takeover Camelot twice, living in a shabby hovel. She didn't feel like her anymore, like an empty shell full of murderous intent, then why should she look like her?

Finally, as she heard Merlin sigh for the umpteenth time, she chose a chiffon burgundy dress with heavy lacework and billowing sleeves.

The cashier was a chubby Texan, assuming from his accent, mid thirties, with inquisitive eyes.

"Late November Halloween party tonight?" he asked as he scanned their items.

Merlin smiled. "Not exactly."

"Oh, I understand. Foreplay material then huh?" he winked.

The grin slid off Merlin's face, while Morgana's typical smirk was back in place. "He wishes it was." she replied as she grabbed the bags and headed out, with Merlin hot on her heels.

"Um excuse me, what was that supposed to mean? For your information I have no desire to engage in any-"

"Sure you don't." She cut him off and shrugged. "Even former evil sorceresses can make a few jokes from time to time, former servants should learn to take it like one." That infuriating smirk was still there.

"Now before we do anything, we have to establish some ground rules." Merlin declared once they'd reached Morgana's apartment.

She nodded and opened her mouth with a determined air. "Fair enough, but I'll have a few conditions as well. You go first."

"No killing Uther, or anyone else in Camelot for that matter. We will figure out another way to bring back magic without murdering your father, it will only harden Arthur's heart against magic. Believe me I've seen it firsthand."

She considered that for a few moments before saying, "Okay, but there will also be no sitting back like a coward and watching our kin die while Uther slaughters them left and right. If we're not killing him, then we'll sure as hell saving them." Her tone left no room for argument.

Silence settled between them as Merlin contemplated. There would be many difficulties meeting her demand but it was only fair, after all wasn't that the whole point of what they were doing?

"Deal." he agreed. "Now my second point. Whatever we do, we'll do together. We'll not confide in anyone else, not Gaius, Gwen, Arthur or anyone else. We'll keep our secret and intentions to ourselves."

"Work alone with you for the rest of my days? Dream come true Emrys." Her reply was thickly layered with sarcasm.

"Is that a yes or no?"

"Yes! It's a yes! Now can we get on with it before I change my mind?" She was getting more and more testy as the minutes ticked by.

Merlin produced a small pocket knife and made a thin slice across his palm. He then passed it to her and asked her to repeat the procedure as he explained, "The blood of the Dragonlord and the High Priestess need to mix while we perform the spell."

"If you just needed my blood you could've taken some from the sword you used to stab me."

"Sure, there's only the little problem of me also requiring a living breathing priestess to perform the spell with me. It's not just the blood, or believe me I would've done it eons ago."

She shot him a glare but did as she was told, and then put her bleeding hand in his, apprehension fluttering through her.

Next he took out a piece of paper with Old English scrawled across it in his messy handwriting. " I wrote down the spell for your convinience. Since it's your first time. And you might need help."

"Thank you." She said despite herself.

Holding both hands together they began.

"Hige sceal þe heardra, || heorte þe cēnre,
mōd sceal þe māre, || swā ūre mægen lȳtlað"

"A feir feld full of folk || fond I þer bitwene,
Of alle maner of men, || þe mene and þe riche,
Worchinge and wandringe || as þe world askeþ."

Several events happened in quick succession. The numerous lamps around them started flickering and the ground beneathe their feet trembled. There was a cold plunging sensation in their lungs as they felt themselves lurch forward into a void. The darkness pressed on their eyes like a weightless veil. Merlin tightened his grip on Morgana and pulled her close.

The whirlwind gained momentum and continued at full speed. A thousand moments surged through them as they kept spiralling through the passages of time. All at once the sinking stopped and they were on their feet once more.

Merlin steadied Morgana but neither of them let go. Both their breaths were coming in searing gasps, heads still dizzy. It was a moment before they finally cracked open their eyes, equal measures of dread and anticipation coursing through their veins.

Camelot's courtyard came into full view, but it was far from the scene they were expecting.

"Oh no." They said simultaneously. They had made a colossal mistake. He had made a colossal mistake.

For all around them witches and warlocks boldly displayed their magic in broad daylight. Objects were floating, sparks shooting across the air, and flashes of golden eyes could be seen everywhere.

"Wh-what's going on?" Merlin managed to stammer out.

Morgana was just as clueless as him. Until she looked up at the castle's balcony, and standing there in all his regal glory, was none other than Uther Pendragon. And beside him stood his wife and Queen, Ygraine Pendragon.

" I'll tell you what's going on Emrys. You made a tiny mistake and brought us back just a few more years than we intended. You managed to take us back before the Purge."

Don't worry, Mergana will find their way back to the right timeline but not without a little complications on the way, after all, when was their life ever easy and smooth? :)
