Chapter 7

Hasty Returns to Major Land

"Blaze! Will you slow down and tell us what's going on?!" Hibiki called out from a few steps behind the boy, who was still pushing the pram holding the sleeping chibi towards the front door of his families home.

"I'll tell you when we get inside." He said in an unusually shakey voice, which the two girls thought was really strange, but said nothing as he unlocked the door and pushed the pram inside before letting the two of them in also.

"Now will you tell us what's going on?"

"Yeah! What happened while you were in the office at the store?" Hibiki asked, backing up Kanade's question with one of her own and waited for Blaze's answer as he picked the little girl up out of the pram and and laid her down on the sofa, covering her with a wolly blanket as she cuddled her new toy, causing him to smile before turning back towards his other friends.

"Okay. Well there was this strange guy in the office with Ellen and he said that soon the people of Minor Land would use her for their own selfish goals!"

"Hey, Blaze. Calm down. That's not gonna happen. Not while we're here."

"For once, Hibiki's right, Blaze. The people of Minor Land know better than too fight us, not after their last defeat."

"Yeah! It was so embarrassing that I... Hey! What do you mean by 'For once Hibiki is right' Kanade?!" Hibiki said, just catching on to what Kanade had aimed at her, and didn't like it one bit.

"I mean that you have a tendancy to go head first into things!"

"I do not!"

"Yes you do, Hibiki! Just admit it!"

"No I won't! Because I..."

"Will you two shut up?! You're gonna wake Ellen up!" Blaze yelled, even louder than both Hibiki and Kanade combined, which caused the chibi to wake up and start crying, knocking her toy on the floor as she did.

This hadn't been Blaze's plan at all and felt guilty for disturbing her sleep, so he gathered the girl up into his arms, hugging her whilst trying his best to sing a gentle lullaby to her, which helped to stifle her cryng as she hugged back and started to fall back to sleep again. Blaze smiled once more as he watched his little sister sleep soundly and placed her back down onto her makeshift bed, then turned back to his friends, who looked just as relieved as he did in this situation.

"Anyway, don't worry about Ellen, Blaze. She'll be fine with us here to protect her, so just try and get some rest, okay? We'll talk more about this tomorrow." Kanade said to the boy, who at that exact moment, let out a stiffled yawn as he nodded to both of them.

"You're probably right. Those jerks just wanna mess with my head so it'll be easier to get to my sister. But that won't happen. I'll just sleep for now and talk to you tomorrow when I've cleared my head a bit.

"Okay, Blaze. Oyasumi." The mature girl said gently, -so that she didn't disturb the childs slumber again- then dragged her sporty friend out of the house, towards the front gate whilst Blaze lay down next to the sofa and fell into a troubled sleep not long later.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The next morning, Hibiki and Kanade -who was carrying Hummy in her arms- arrived at the Kurokawa househould as promised and knocked on the door.

Though there was no answer.

Because of this, Hibiki decided to knock again, remembering what Blaze was like for sleeping in -like her- and when there was sill no response, she gently opened the door and quietly entered.

Which was when they saw something that they would never forget.

They saw the teenage boy sleeping on the ground, hugging the little girl protectively close -who must have woken up the night before- as if to protect her from evil intruders.

"We should put them on the sofa. Its more comfortable than them sleeping on the ground." Kanade said, thoughtfully, seeing Hibiki nod in agreement as she moved over to the child and picked her up, before handing her too her friend, who took her without a word

She then turned back towards Blaze, and after a moment or two, managed to pull him up onto the couch then covering him up with a blanket as he continued to sleep, completely none the wiser of what the girl had just done.

Ellen however was a different story.

Her bottom lip began to tremble as she started to whimper sadly, tears appearing in her eyes, showing that she would burst into tears at any moment and wake her big brother up if the two girls didn't calm her down quickly.

"What are we gonna do, nya?"

"I don't know." Kanade said in a worried voice, not wanting Blaze to be woken up, but couldn't think of anything that could help at that moment in time.

"I think I have an idea, but I'd need your help, Hummy."

"Okay, nya! What do you want me to do Hibiki, nya?"

"Well, I was thinking..." The girl began, kneeling down next to the kitten and whispering the rest of the plan into her tiny ear.

"Do you think you can handle that, Hummy?" She asked a few moments later, standing up again as she waited for the kittens responce, which she soon got.

"Of course, nya!"

Hibiki smiled at this, and retrieved the little girl from Kanade's arms. She then placed the child down in front of the kitten, who then made he move: running around the toddler a few times to get her attention and culed up on her lap, letting her pet her fur with a tiny hand.

Seeing this, the two teenage girls smiled. It was a thankful smile, as if they were thanking every lord they could think of for being able to calm Ellen before she'd started crying and woke Blaze up.

"Let's make her some breakfast, Kanade."

"But we shouldn't leave her alone while Blaze is sleeping."

"She'll be fine with Hummy. Now come on." Hibiki replied back, pulling Kanade into the kitchen before she had a chance to say her piece, leaving the litte girl with Hummy.

She didn't seem to mind though and kept petting the kittens fur in delight for a little while longer, but before long stuck the kittens ear into her mouth.

This seemed to startle Hummy, causing her to mew frantically, trying to pull her furry ear out of the childs mouth and without realizing summoned the rainbow bridge that transported the two younglings to Major Land, just as Hibiki and Kanade came back into the room to get Ellen.

"W-w-what are we going to do, Hibiki?" Kanade cried in panic, knowing what Blaze's reaction would be if he woke up to find out that his now kid sister was in Major Land all alone without her big brother there to protect her.

Though despite her panicked tone, Hibiki seemed to be deep in thought, trying to figure out what they could do to set things straight. Like Blaze, she also didn't want Ellen to be alone in her current state.

Well, in all honesty, the young child wasn't alone. She was with Hummy. Though that just caused more problems than it solved.

For one, if Hummy was in Major Land, how would the girls be able to get there and bring Ellen home where she belonged?

Unable to come up with an idea off the top of her head, Hibiki kept on pondering the situation over and over again. She seemed so focused in fact, that she didn't even notice when Kanade began waving her hand in front of her face repeatedly, so the girl decided to take drastic action and slapped Hibiki on the back of the head, finally snapping her out of her daydream but also making her very annoyed.

"What was that for, Kanade?!"

"Because you weren't listening to me! Do you know how rude that is?!"

"Well, maybe the reason for that is because I'm trying to think of a way to get us out of this mess before Blaze wakes up!"

As luck would have it, it was at this exact moment that the teenage boy began to wake up with a moan, alerting the two girls who quickly tried to make themselves look as if nothing was going on and that everything was completely normal.

"M-morning, Blaze."

"Morning Kanade. You seem nervous. Is something wrong?" The boy said sleepily with a yawn, having caught onto his friends strange behaviour, though she still tried to hide it.

"W-what are you talking about, Blaze? Everythings fine."

"Yeah, Blaze! I mean, it's not like Ellen's accidentally been taken to Major Land." Hibiki lied terribly, trying to cover up the incident, forcing Kanade to once again hit her on the back of the head.

"Hibiki!"

"Ow! What the hell was that for, Kanade?!"

"Because you completely let it slip that Ellen's all alone in Major Land!"

"What?! What do you mean, my sisters in Major Land?!"

"Nice going, Kanade." Hibiki mumuredas Blaze took a step forwards towards them.

"I'm waiting for my answer, Kanade." The boy said in an unusually dark tone of voice, one that sent shivers up Kanade's spine as she tried to think up a responce that would be reasonable, though when she couldn't think of one she just decided to go with the truth. She sighed as she prepared to tell the boy of what happened while he'd been asleep.

"Well, Hibiki and I went to make Ellen some breakfast and while we were gone the rainbow bridge took both her and Hummy to Major Land, at least thats what I think happened anyway."

"Why the hell would the rainbow bridge appear while no one was around?!" Blaze yelled in anger and frustration.

"W-well maybe Hummy accidentally created it?"

"Go on." Blaze said as he tapped his foot on the floor impatiently.

"Well, Ellen was with Hummy when we left, and maybe she did something to startle the kitten?"

"But what would Ellen do to startle Hummy?"

"I'm not sure, Blaze. But if Hummy summoned the rainbow bridge, then maybe someone from Major Land is looking after them." Kanade thought, and the boy beside her nodded, having the same thought.

"Yeah, your probably right, lets go and see Ako right now!" Blaze responded quickly after, running out of the house and up the street.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

After ten minutes of running, the group arrived at the Shirabe home and knocked at the door repeatedly until Ako opened the door to them, not looking amused.

"This better be important."

"Ako, it is! Ellen's stuck in Major Land!"

"So what? She can look after herself."

"Not at the moment she can't. Not in the state she's in."

"What are you dribbling on about now?"

"Ellen became a chibi and I'm really worried about my sister's safety. Please, you have to call Aphrodite-sama!" Blaze pleaded, Ako rolling her eyes as she listened to his words.

"Okay, okay. I'll call mum. Just come inside and stop causing a scene."

Ako then turned away from the group, entering her home once again. She then went to the pool of water, swiping her hand over it to make an image of her mother appear.

"Mum, I'm sorry to call you so suddenly, but my friends said thought that Ellen over there and they're worried about her."

"She is indeed here, Ako. They need not worry themselves. I will create a rainbow bridge for them to come towards Major Land."

"Okay, thanks mum, I'll see you soon." Ako said, before the promised rainbow bridge was formed.

"Now come on, we need to make sure that my sister's okay." The teen boy said, stepping onto the bridge and heading towards the other world, his friends following shortly after.

Though despite him being able to see his sister again, Blaze was still worried about her safety, which Hibiki noticed.

"Blaze, she's gonna be okay. Don't worry so much."

"Sorry, I just scared to leave her all alone right now. What if she gets into trouble?"

"Then Aphrodite-sama will stop her. Ellen seemed to take a liking to her when we came here the first time."

"I guess so..." Blaze mumbled, still not seeming very convinced by what had been said, though soon perked up when he heard the Queen's voice.

"Pretty Cure! Welcome back. Would you like to go to where Ellen is?"

"Yeah, if you don't mind."

"Alright, follow me." Aphrodite said elegantly, leading them through the castle.

After walking for a little while, the group came towards the doors of the Throne Room, and heard giggling coming from inside. Giggling that Blaze recognized, and being unable to wait any longer, pushed the doors open to reveal the little chibi girl, running around the room in a cute princess like dress and tiara.

"Sis!"

"Onii-chama!" Chibi Ellen called out, and ran towards her brother happily, who picked her up and hugged her tightly.

"I'm so relieved. I thought you got hurt sis."

"I'm okay Onii-chama. Ahwodite Onee-chama pwayed with me. I'm a pwincess now, Onii-chama!"

"Yeah, your the cutest and kindest princess around, sis. Don't ever forget it."Blaze said with a smile, and turned to look Aphrodite in question.

"How did you find her, Aphrodite? Did she just appear in the throne room?"

"Heavens no. I was just simply walking around this lovely town to make sure everything was in order."

Aphrodite walked around Major Land calmly, making sure that everything was in order. She was extremely keen to make sure that all of her citizens were happy living there. And that was when she heard it, a little cry for help which she seemed to recognize, and made her way quickly towards the rose garden, where she saw the little chibi hugging Hummy extremely tightly whilst chewing happily on her furry kitten ear, much to the kitten's displeasure.

"Now, now little one. Thats not at all nice, show Hummy you are sorry." The queen told the chibi girl as she lifted the child into her arms.

"Sowwy, Hummy kitty."

"Well done. That was very mature. Come on, lets get you inside where you will be safe and warm, alright?"

"Okay, Aphwodite Onee-chama!"

"Let's go then child." The queen said with a gentle smile, walking back towards the castle and into the throne room with the little girl in her arms.

"Wanna pway Aphwodite Onee-chama!" The child said to the woman in her ordinary cheery tone making the queen smile.

"What would you like to do, little one?"

"Pway Dwess up!"

"I can find out some clothes you can play dress up with, stay here while I go and find them for you." Aphrodite said, and closed the door so that the little version of Ellen wouldn't run away while she was gone.

Not that she would have.

She was too interested in the the queens throne, running over to it and pushing her hand into the soft cusion that was on the chair, then giggled after she pulled her hand away letting the cushion to return to its original shape.

She kept repeating this action and gigling with delight until the queen returned with an armful of clothes in her hand for the child to play with.

"Look at these clothes I brought back for you, Ellen." The queen said, diverting the childs attention from the chair to the queen with a smile.

"Yay! Can I pway dwess up with them, Aphwodite Onee-chama?"

"Of course you can." The woman said, letting the child run over to the pile of clothes and playing with them in delight.

"After that. I just allowed her to play until you managed to contact me."

"Okay, thanks Aphrodite-sama. I don't know how I could ever repay you" Blaze said thankfully, though the queen of Major Land just shock her head.

"There is no need for any repayments. I am just glad that your sister is safe and sound"

Blaze nodded, agreeing with what the queen had said about his sister being safe, and hugged the toddler tightly before placing her on the ground, kneeling down so that he was eye level with her.

"What do you say to, Aphrodite-sama, sis?"

"Thank you, Aphwodite Onee-chama!" Chibi Ellen cheered happily and hugged Aphrodite with a smile until Blaze took the little girls hand and pulled her away slightly.

"I think we should be going now, sis."

"But I wanna stay, Onii-chama. Pwease?" The girl asked cutely, giving Blaze the puppy dog eyes, though her brother managed to resist the look regardless.

"I'm sorry, sis. But we have to go. Aphrodite-sama probably has a lot of stuff to do herself. But we can come back another day. Is that okay, Aprodite-sama?"

"Yes, that is quite alright, Blaze." She told the boy, who nodded, then looked back to the child stood with him.

"See? Aphrodite-sama is fine with you coming back another day. Are you okay with that, Sis?"

"Okay Onii-chama..."

"Good girl. We should probably head back home now. Its getting late."

"Can I bwing this dwess, bag and cwown Onii-chama?"

"Well, it's really not up to me, Sis. It's up to Aphrodite-sama." He said, making the chibi child look at the queen with hopeful eyes, recieving a small nod back in return.

"It is absolutely fine. If that makes her happy."

"Yay! Thank you, Aphwodite Onee-chama!"

"Well, now that that's sorted, where's Hummy? She's the one who made the rainbow bridge appear in the first place."

"Kanade's right. Where's Hummy?"

"Sis, do you know where Hummy is?"

"Yeah, Onii-chama! Hummy kitty's in my bag! Hummy kitty feww (fell) asweep. Wook!" The little girl responded with a smile, holding her bag out to her older brother, letting him check it, and just like the child said, the kitten was fast asleep inside the bag, purring intently.

"That's a relief. We should really be going now. Aphrodite-sama? Would you mind making a rainbow bridge to get us back home?"

"Yes, there isn't a problem with that at all."

The queen then brought her hands together and inhaled deaply. Then after a moment or two, brought her hands out once again, a rainbow bridge appearing as she did so.

"There you go."

"Thanks Aphrodite-sama. We'll be going now. Say goodbye, sis."

"Bye bye, Aphwodite Onee-chama! " Ellen called with a smile, waving towards the woman as her brother led her away and back to her home in Kanon town.
