To anyone who is still reading this story I am so so sorry, I can't believe how long it's been since I last updated this. I'm going to be honest I have no real excuse, I just never got around to writing it. I hope you'll forgive me, I know how annoying it can be when stories don't get updated. Anyway, you have waited long enough for a chapter so I'll stop, thank you for reading and hope you enjoy it.

Disclaimer- as usual I don't own Scott and Bailey

Janet and Gill went back to the station and updated syndicate nine on what had happened before sending them back to work on their case. Although the news gave the officers hope that they were on the right track and that they would find Rachel they still worked in near silence, worried that they would always remain one step behind.

Janet followed Gill into her office, Gill sunk into her chair and took a deep breath, she had really thought they were going to find Rachel this time. Just as Gill went to speak her phone rang, she quickly picked up "Hello".

"Hey Gill, I've had the results on the blood from the cellar back from the lab" Julie uttered.

"And?" Gill questioned.

"It's Rachel's blood" Julie sighed "But at least this means that they were definitely there. We've put out a warrant for Bruno's arrest, we'll get him and his cronies. We've got some leads now, we will get them both back, soon".

"Thanks for letting me know slap, I'll speak to you soon"

"I'll let you know as soon as there are any new updates, bye"

"Bye" Gill put the phone down and turned to Janet who had been picking at her nails, deep in thought.

"Janet" Gill started, causing the woman in question to look up "the blood we found in the cellar was Rachels, so Julie has put out a warrant out for Bruno's arrest"

"I still can't believe that she was in there, if we'd been there earlier…" she trailed off. Janet looked thoughtful for a moment "why do you think he moved them? Do you think he knew we were coming?" Janet questioned.

"I'm not sure, it's possible he might have someone on the inside who gave him a heads up. But he might have just had another reason to move them. I don't know, but at least we know that they were definitely there and we're on the right track" Gill gave a half smile and gave Janet's shoulder a comforting squeeze.

Janet stood up slowly "Anyway I better get back to work, our case won't solve itself now will it" Janet walked out of the office, shutting the door behind her.

With difficulty Rachel had managed to bring the bottle of water closer using her bound legs, trying not to agitate any of her injuries. She succeeded in grasping the bottle between her hands "I'm going to need a hand getting this lid off" she gestured towards the bottle.

"Yeah, of course one sec" Alison managed to shuffle closer to her sister.

"I'll hold it and you turn the cap, we can't afford to waste any of this water. Who knows when we'll get anymore" Rachel spoke firmly. After some effort the lid finally came unscrewed.

"What if we don't get anymore, what if they just leave us here" Alison whispered.

"I don't think they want us dead, they'd have done it already otherwise. They want us alive" for now Rachel thought to herself, knowing she had to give Alison some hope "Anyway, like I said before the police will find us soon. They must be on to him, why else would we have been moved?"

"Yeah, I suppose you're right. They could have at least left us some food though, I'm starving"

"Well be grateful that we at least have water" Rachel said before taking a sip of the water then offering the bottle to Alison who also took a sip before they replaced the lid on the bottle.

2 Days later

Rachel and Alison were huddled in the corner of the container, both sisters were shivering. The container was cold and only became worse during the night, the two only had each other's body heat to the warm them. Despite Rachel normally avoiding any contact with her touchy-feely sister she nestled up close to Alison, trying to keep them both warm. The container was also fairly dark but there were enough small gaps to let a small amount of light in, just enough to seen in the gloom. Rachel looked over at the now near empty bottle of water, there was only a few sips left and she was starting to worry that Alison had been right, and that Bruno would just leave them there to die. Alison who had been sleeping against Rachel's shoulder suddenly startled awake and looked around.

"For a second I thought this had all been a dream and I was going to wake up back at home with Tony and the kids" Alison sighed.

"Hey, come on, it's going to be alright" for once Rachel wanted to give her sister a hug, not that she was going to admit it. Being sat around for so long had made her think about how badly she treated Alison after everything she had done for her and how much of her niece's lives she had missed out on. She promised herself that if they ever got out of this hellhole, she'd start making time for her sister and her family. "Anyway, at least one thing good has come out of this, I can't remember the last time I went this long without a drink" she joked, trying to lighten the mood. Alison gave a slight smile. Then they heard a jangling of keys and locks, the door creaked open, the light momentarily blinding the two women. Then in came two of Bruno's minions, Rachel thought their names might be Mark and Bobby, but she couldn't quite remember.

"Mark, you go call the boss. I'll meet you back at the van" ah his name is Mark, I got it right Rachel thought to herself.

"OK Rob, don't be long" damn she was close, one out of two names wasn't too bad though. The man who they now knew to be Rob came further into the container. He tossed a bottle of water toward the two sisters, narrowly missing hitting Rachel in the head. The pair flinched as the bottle hit the metal and then landed with a thud on the floor.

"Opps, sorry" sneered Rob before also chucking a bag in their direction "Enjoy" he laughed before slamming the door to the container shut behind him. The sound worsening the headaches of the two sisters.

"Argh, my head is throbbing" Rachel moaned holding her hands up to press against her forehead, careful to avoid her injuries. Now they knew they had more water they quickly finished up the remnants of the previous bottle before looking through the bag they had been given. The bag contained a loaf of bread, some biscuits and an apple.

"Are they having a laugh, why have the given us one apple"

"Could at least have made them chocolate biscuits" Alison muttered "Anyway we're going to have to ration this who knows when they'll next be feeling generous.

"Alison we can't just sit here and wait in hope for the next time they'll bother to give us food or water. I don't know how long it could take for the police to find us, we've got to find a way out of here. We've got to make a plan. We're just getting weaker and weaker, we need to act soon"

Again, I'm sorry it's been so long. Hope you're all okay.
