What If?
I think the flashbacks are making up for the lack of any real connecting in the "present" time frame lol. Third chapter in a row with sex scenes in the flashback. The song belongs to Ashley Tisdale. Not all of the lyrics go with the chapter but I imagine most of the chorus would work for how Holly feels for Dean in this chapter. So seriously...listen to the song during the flashback.
Reviewer Response:
Dean's Sassy Seductress – lol thanks for saying this is good. I'm glad people like this story as much as I do.
Dean's Little Temptation – lol love how all your questions deal with Sam. I'll hopefully get them answered here. Right now as I type this bit, I'm just starting the chapter so I don't know if they'll get answered but I hope I can manage it
"Yeah, he's been seeming weird to me too." Gabriel remarked dryly as he frowned.
"We're all aware that he holds no fondness for gangs." Castiel stated. They rounded the corner and paused at the hallway that housed Sam Winchester's hospital room.
"I'll see if I can get a hold of him." Gabriel decided with a slight nod. "I'm not liking any of this. That girl, the one you and Dean are watching, she doesn't like him at all and I'm starting to think maybe there's some reason behind that."
"Do you think they might know each other?" Castiel asked.
"I don't know." Gabriel replied. He lifted his hand up to scratch at his head as he glanced around the hallways. "That day you guys were here when she said there was someone in the room, she was telling the truth. I saw the security footage. Couldn't see who it was but Zach didn't go into the room until after the person left. He just stood outside." Castiel frowned, a dark expression on his face now. "I just saw this the other night, part of the reason why the boss wanted to see you guys and her today. I haven't seen Zach really at all today."
"Call him...and don't stop until he answers." Castiel ordered. Gabriel nodded and removed his phone from his pocket. He headed outside to make the call while Castiel went to the room. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see a female standing at the end of the bed, arms crossed over her chest, dark brown hair done up in a professional looking bun. She looked very much unlike herself, dressed in a tailored dark purple suit and long black coat, but Castiel recognized her anyways. "What are you doing here?"
"Came to see him." The woman replied, glancing at the officer.
"You know Sam Winchester?" Castiel asked, unsure if he should be surprised or not.
"In a way." The woman responded. She turned to look at Castiel and smiled. "Haven't seen you in a while, gotten bored of me?"
"You shouldn't be here, Meg." Castiel sighed, closing the door and moving into the room.
"Maybe not but we both know you're happy to see me." Meg retorted. It wasn't untrue, Castiel knew that. When he was close enough, she lifted her arms to drape over his shoulders. "Ease up, Clarence, don't be such a stick in the mud." She leaned up and pressed her lips to his. The action was enough to get the officer's shoulders to slump slightly as he succumbed to the kiss. His arms went under her coat to wrap around her waist in an attempt to drag her closer.
An action that was quickly halted as he felt something cold and metallic at her hip. Castiel frowned and leaned back, his eyes narrowing as he took in the expression on Meg's face. He gripped the object under her coat and pulled it out.
"Would you mind explaining why you're carrying a gun?" Castiel asked.
"I am allowed to you know, I have all the permits and registration." Meg remarked defensively.
"Yes but why would you need one in a hospital?" Castiel questioned. "For that matter, why are you dressed like this?"
"You almost didn't recognize me, and you see me more than the rest of your copper buddies." Meg replied.
"Have you been killing the gang members?" Castiel asked finally. Meg just stared at him. "Are you an accomplice?"
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Meg asked. Castiel just glared. "Oh my god, you're not."
"Answer the questions Miss Masters." Castiel insisted.
"Oh screw you." Meg uttered the statement, followed by a shake of the head as she attempted to move away. Castiel grabbed her arms, the gun still in his hand. "Let me go."
"If you're a suspect, you are to be taken into custody." Castiel explained.
"You fucking think I would do this?" Meg's voice rose, not loud enough to be heard outside the room but louder then it was previously. "I'm not a killer, I never was. A thief, yes maybe, but I never killed anyone. I mean for fuck sake, Novak, I haven't even been doing anything criminal related since hooking up with you!" She argued so passionately, defending herself so strongly, that Castiel released her. She took back her gun and put it back in it's hidden location.
"Why the gun?" Castiel asked softly.
"Because...there's people on YOUR side that aren't too trustworthy in this case." Meg replied.
"My side?" Castiel wondered out loud. Meg nodded and looked around behind him, her eyes suddenly widening. Castiel frowned and started to turn but never made it as something collided with his head and made the world go black

Dean pulled up outside the house and got out of the Impala. He walked swiftly to the front door and knocked. There were voices and other noises inside the house and then the door was opened. Dean looked down to see a little dirty blonde haired girl standing there, thumb in her mouth. She looked up at him, a little confused at first until she recognized him and a smile wrapped it's way around her thumb.
"Hey Carly." Dean greeted, smiling despite the circumstances. "What are you doing opening the door huh?" He bent down and picked up the two year old girl that he had the honor of calling his goddaughter. She just giggled and wrapped her free arm around him. "Where's your mommy and daddy?" He walked into the house and kicked the door shut.
"Well daddy's right here." Ash announced, walking over. He had a slightly grim expression which led Dean to believe that Holly was indeed there. "Hey man, long time no see."
"Been busy." Dean responded, knowing it wasn't a good excuse but it was all he had. "Where is she?"
"Who?" Ash asked, trying and failing miserably to look curious. Dean just rolled his eyes and gave him a look. Sighing, Ash ran a hand through his mullet free hair. "She's out back with Jo but dude don't be going barging back there just yet."
"I need to solve this." Dean stated.
"Man...I told you years ago that that girl is damaged." Ash muttered. He sighed again and held out his hands. "I gotta put Carly down for a nap."
"Nah, I'll do it, since it'll give me something to do." Dean volunteered. Ash dropped his arms and nodded. "I'm not leaving without her."
"Yeah, I know." Ash replied, nodding. Dean gave a single nod then went up the stairs to Carly's room. He could see the back yard from the window and, while he made up some story to tell the two year old to get her to sleep, he kept an eye on the two women outside.

Two Years Ago
He honestly should have known.
He really should have seen this coming.
But he just couldn't wrap his mind around it.
"So what do you think?" Sam asked, looking at his brother over the rip of his glass.
"Uh it...it sounds...good." Dean knew he couldn't say what he was really thinking. He couldn't tell Sam that he didn't want his little brother becoming exclusive with the little blonde vixen who he had slept with several times in the last six months. Sam didn't know. The only people who knew about Dean's repeated bed times with Holly were Ash and Jo. The couple were currently off on a honeymoon in Rome, their only time they'd be able to travel anywhere without a child for the next while.
"I haven't really brought it up with Holly yet." Sam admitted, looking down at his hands. "I don't really know how. But she's such a great girl you know."
"Yeah." Dean agreed absentmindedly.
"Do you think she'll go for it?" Sam asked.
"I don't know. I don't know how she thinks." Dean replied truthfully. He really didn't. There had been times when he had come by the house, having gotten his own apartment since graduating, that he had found Holly all snuggled up with Sam on the couch. Then sometime later she'll show up at his apartment. He had gotten so used to her being around that when he had gotten the apartment, he had a third key made up that his brother and father didn't know about and had given it to Holly so that she could let herself in.
It helped on those days when they all knew she had been to see her parents. Since she had started sleeping with Dean, she was going home less and less. The only problem was, whenever she did go home nowadays, she came out with worse bruises then before. Those times, Dean would come home to find her sitting on his couch, absently watching the TV. It wasn't just sex, he seemed to have become her safe house. When she didn't feel she could face Sam or John, she came to Dean. He couldn't understand why she wouldn't open up to them like she was doing with him but he also wasn't going to argue it.
"I have to get to class but I'll see you later. Thanks again for lunch." Sam brought Dean from his thoughts and the older brother nodded. Sam smiled and left, feeling good about his decision. Meanwhile, Dean just ran his hand over his face and sighed deeply.

It didn't surprise him to find Holly at his apartment the next day. He wasn't sure what to do or expect but he knew he had to keep a guard up. He couldn't hurt Sam, he just couldn't. He raised an eyebrow at the pizza on the table and realized she must have brought it with her.
"How was work?" Holly asked, toying with her plaid skirt.
"It...was there." Dean replied, taking in the skirt, the knee high socks, the plain ordinary white shirt. He had thought nothing Holly wore would ever surprise him but this caught him off guard just slightly. "What's uh...what's with the outfit?"
"Just felt like it." Holly answered. Dean walked over and sat at the table with her. "You knew, didn't you?"
"About?" Dean asked, picking up a slice of pizza. He took a bite and sighed, glad to have some food.
"Sam...and his question." Holly muttered.
"Oh uh...yeah, he told me about it yesterday." Dean replied awkwardly. Holly nodded slowly and picked at a slice of pizza. Dean watched her as he ate his own slice...and then another...and another. She stayed quiet, continuing to play with the one slice. If it wasn't for the fact there were a couple of slices missing when Dean came in, he would have been telling her to eat. He just had to go under the impression that she had eaten before he came home.
"I asked for a day to think." Holly spoke finally.
"Oh." Dean wasn't too sure what else to say to that.
"What do you think?" Holly asked, lifting her eyes to finally look at Dean.
"What do you mean?" Dean asked.
"Well...what...what do you think I should do?" Holly tilted her head, her green eyes wide and vulnerable.
"I don't know." Dean replied, lowering his eyes. His head was screaming at him to tell her not to go with Sam but he just couldn't do that. He had taken a few girls from his brother before when they were teenagers. He had sworn to Sam that he would never do it again but at the same time, here he was, sleeping with the same girl.
"Oh." Holly said, her shoulders slumping slightly. She tossed the now messed up slice of pizza back into the box and wiped her fingers with a paper towel before standing up. "I...I should go." Dean blinked and watched her walk past. He jumped up and quickly followed her before he even realized what he was doing.
"Holly." Dean called out without thinking. She stopped before she reached the door and turned to look at him. "I...uh...I...good luck." His brain cursed at him for such a lame thing to say. Holly paused then closed her eyes and shook her head slightly. When she opened her eyes, she giving Dean such an incredulous look that he knew he was in for it.
"Good luck?" Holly asked. "That...that's all?"
"I...well...umm..." Dean stuttered. His brain sarcastically applauding his brilliant speaking skills.
"No advice...no help...no...anything...just...good luck?" Holly's expression and tone made Dean feel like he was the dumbest person on the planet. Of course he was having trouble thinking as soon as she put her hands on her hips. The outfit and the gesture and the heat of the starting argument working together to break down his guard with little resistance.
"I didn't...Holly that's not..." Dean continued to stumble over his words, his eyes focused below her head. There was a rip already at the neckline, something he figured was intentional to give an extra amount of cleavage.
"You can be such an ass sometimes!" Holly snapped.
"Hey!" Dean bit back, eyes shooting up to her face finally. "That's a little uncalled for."
"Oh yeah? Really?" Holly asked, stepping closer to him. "If I wanted to hear just 'good luck' I wouldn't be talking to you!" She moved even closer. "You...you suck! You're not helpful at all. I don't know how to think...how to act..." She was right in front of Dean, face and chest flushed with anger. "And the best...the absolute best that you can give me...is good...fucking...luck?"
"Well I..." Dean started.
"WHAT THE HELL?" Holly yelled. "Jesus fucking Christ Winchester, you are about as useful as a..." She was cut off by large hands burying themselves in her hair as warm lips crashed down on hers violently. She mumbled a few noises into his mouth before falling into him, eyes drifting shut as she looped her arms around his neck. Dean backed her into the wall roughly as his hands fell from her hair. They instead grabbed at her shirt and, mentally thanking Holly's destructive tendencies to some of her clothing, pulled hard enough to rip the shirt the rest of the way down. She gasped against his lips, her body moving instinctively by now to press more against his.
His fingers worked their magic as one hand latched to her bra covered breast and the other snaked it's way under her skirt. Her hands gripped the back of his head, their mouths still fused together. In the back of his mind, Dean could imagine neither of them coming out of this venture without bruises. He knew his own tendencies, any other girl he honestly didn't care about being rough with, at least not anywhere near as much as he cared about it with Holly. He had never been rough with her until today but then again they had never had an argument that hadn't been interrupted by John or Sam.
"Quit doing that." Holly grumbled as he moved both of his hands to rest on her waist. She was glaring at him from under blonde bangs. Dean smirked as he gripped her waist tightly and lifted her off the floor. Her legs instantly snapped around his waist. "Bedroom...we need the bedroom...NOW!"
With his inability to deny her anything, he granted her wish by carrying her through the apartment to his bedroom. It always impressed him how she was able to remove any shirt he wore during this sort of travel moment but by the time he had her on the bed, his shirt was long gone and she was leaning up to press kisses along his neck, shoulders, chest, anywhere she could get her lips on. She had pulled the holster from his belt, removed his phone from his pocket, worked the belt through the loops and had his pants opened and half way down his thighs before she decided to flip them over.
"Weren't you on top last time?" Dean asked.
"Are you complaining?" Holly asked, shedding her ruined shirt and unhooking her bra.
"Not exactly." Dean replied, watching her every move. Sam had been officially kicked out of his head as Holly dragged the rest of his clothes off of his body. She kissed his legs and his lower stomach before she finally brought her lips and tongue to the place he wanted them most. His eyes rolled and his hands tangled in her hair once more. One hand joined her mouth while the other worked to eliminate her skirt and panties.
He wouldn't last if she kept going so he pulled her back up to be level with him before rolling her onto her back once more. Dean was wrong for a short second as he looked at her eyes. Sam had a brief return to his thoughts as he wondered for that single second if she gave the younger brother that same look, the wide eyed, lustful, emotional expression. The thought was gone as she wrapped her legs around his waist, coaxing him forward. Her eyes rolled back and closed as he complied with her unspoken wishes.
Dean was going to have to deal with complaints from his neighbors again later.

He didn't talk to Holly. She had gone back to John and Sam's with barely any words said, none that mattered anyways. For a week Dean made no attempt to call her or see her even though he wanted to. The only thing that surprised him, when he finally joined the family for dinner days later, was that he felt some hurt when he saw Sam and Holly...cuddled up on the couch, smiling and laughing. He knew that she had given in, said yes to the exclusive request, just by looking at them. Part of him was happy for Sam, the other part...well...not so much. But in true Dean Winchester style, he kept it all inside and acted as if nothing was wrong.
At least until he caught Sam and Holly having several whispered conversations that made Sam look uneasy and doubtful and cast several glances in Dean's direction. The older brother knew, just from the looks, that the conversations had nothing to do with him, Holly was keeping their own affair secret. But there was something that didn't sit right with him about the whole thing and he made it a personal mission to find out what it was.

Present
Carly dozed peacefully before Dean was even finished with his story, something that he himself had already lost track of exactly what was happening in it. He wished her could hear what Jo and Holly were talking about but they were too quiet and opening the window would give him away. He walked silently out of the toddler's room and made his way down the stairs to join Ash in the kitchen.
"You know how weird it is to see you cleaning?" Dean asked, watching his friend scrub at a stubborn spot on the table.
"Well your goddaughter has a habit of making messes and someone has to clean them." Ash countered. Dean couldn't help the proud smile. He was such a bad role model sometimes for that little girl but he did try to set a good example where it counted.
His phone went off and he checked the caller ID to see that it was Gabriel. Wondering what he could want, Dean pressed the 'talk' button and held his phone to his ear.
What he heard nearly made him drop the phone
Cliffhanger ending. I swear, swear, swear that the next chapter will have the flashback for how and why Holly and Sam joined a gang and what ended up being the initial breaking point that separated them from Dean for over a year.
I wonder how many people listen to the songs that chapters get named after...
