'spoken words in the mind'

Drifting between dreams and reality Eiji could feel a expanding presents of warmth. It wasn't next to him. No, it was more like a mist creeping over everything around him or the Sun- The Sun! I was the Sun! He could feel it! Eiji kept his eyes closed as he explored this new awareness. It was fascinating and what's more, he could tell the sun wasn't over the horizon yet.

Slowly, Eiji opened his eyes and then gaped the room. He saw everything in muted colors yet he could see details as if the room was well lit. His eyes wondered the walls spotting the small cracks in the paint and dust on his posters. Finally his eyes settled on the window. There were finger prints all over it and dirt on the outside.

Suddenly it hit him like a bus.

'Today is the day! The bind thingie is suppose to stop working.'

He shot up instantly looking all around him. He really could see everything perfectly, even the hair strands in his comb sitting on the desk. Picking it up, he smiled.

"I've changed." Eiji whispered, and then licked his tough over his canines.

They felt sharper but not much bigger. He decided to have a look in the bathroom mirror. Quickly grabbing the door knob and pulled before twisting. The sound of wood spiting filled the room. Eiji jumped back in alarm. He had just yank the door knob out of the wood.

'I wasn't even trying.' he thought as he looked down at his hand. Looking up at the door he realized his family would wake after hearing such a sound, but after a few moments no one came. He listened for his siblings and parents but to his astonishment all he could hear were there shallow breaths threw the walls.

'Super eye sight in the dark, super strength, super hearing. I wonder what else I can do.'

Carefully, he manage to get the door open without any sound. He move stealthily over the wooden floors to the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He flicked the lights on before looking in the mirror and absorbed the bathroom. The dirt in between the tiles distracted him for a few minutes. When he got to the mirror he saw his overall form, but quickly focused on his surreal looking eyes. They were swimming just like his master's. Dark royal blue boarded the outside of his irises and blended into a wispy baby blue round his pupils.

He wasn't sure how long he had stood there staring before he bare his teeth and saw his canines indeed had gotten sharper, but not much bigger. As he turned his head, he wondered if they got longer when he drank blood. His stomach growled loudly and painfully. He felt the sickening feeling of hunger pains far worse than what he had been previously felling.

Eiji's body was moving before he realized it and heading towards his sisters' room. He abruptly stopped alarmed, and turned to go down the stairs. Practically running into the kitchen, and opening cupboards searching for anything to fill his stomach so as not to hurt his family.

While the red head stood hopelessly looking into the refrigerator, a scattering sound from outside caught his ears. Whatever it was, it was on the trash cans on the side of the house. In a blink of an eye Eiji was out the front door and running towards the side of the house. It felt like the creature was moving in slow motion to him as he grabbed it with both hands and sank his teeth into its fur.

Warm liquid filled his mouth. He was so hunger he did not even care that it tasted like meat gone off. Very quickly the blood stopped flowing and he ripped open the creature to get more but there was nothing else. Eiji held the limp creature before him frustrated. He was still hungry.

The spell broke and he was suddenly aware of his actions. He had just drained the blood of a small brown fox. Horror washed threw him as he looked at the massacre in his hands.

"Oh my god what have I done?!" he whispered shaken. Traumatized he looked around to see if anyone had seen him. But there were only empty streets and a bone chilling silence. Quickly he turned lifted the trash can lid and threw the dead creature in. He pilled some of the garbage on top of it to hide and ran into the house. Heading for the bath room to clean up as he was covered in blood, he thought about how he didn't even think twice. He just went for the blood. Like his body had a mind of its own.

Eiji ran up the stairs forgetting that his family was asleep and walked into the bath room. He stood shocked when he saw his reflection. There before him was a wide eyed red head with blood running down his chin, neck, and shirt. Two small fangs peaked over a bright red bottom lip.

"What am I going to do?"

The sun was still down when Eiji left the house in silence. He was annoyed as well as thankful that his family never woke up once during his blunder. After a quick shower and disposing of his clothes, Eiji decided he didn't want to see his family yet. He was afraid and unsure. He had gone after that animal without thought and even nearly went into his sisters' room.

He wasn't sure what he was going to do. If he was so quick to…kill an animal, wouldn't his family and friends be at risk? They would be safer if he left.

The morning was growing warmer and Eiji turned a corner walking with place in mind to go. His master said he would be able to drink human blood without his permission. Did that only count for the bind he was under or was he safe from harming others?

Eiji then realized he had stop and was staring at a small planet growing out of a crack in the ground. Its different shades of green and blue. The texture of the leaf reflected the night. Shaking his head he began to walk again.

He cannot go back to school. Not without knowing he could keep it together… Eiji now caught himself staring at a bronze leaf on the pavement. Dried up and stiff, it curled in on its self. It surface area ruff and-

"OH MY GOD STOP IT!" Eiji yelled frustrated with himself. Every five feet something would catch his eye.

Abruptly a cat jumped out of the bush next to him. It froze, hissing in front of him. Eiji could hear it's little heart beating as it arched its back. Its hair lifted and it began to growl sensing a large predator before it. Eiji's hunger overwhelmed him and just as he was about launch at the cat, a large hand landed on his shoulder. In an instant the cat was running down the street and Eiji was now listening to the blood pumping to a much larger heart. Adrenaline raced threw him as he inhaled a refreshing sent.

"Eiji-sempi?" A familiar yet unfamiliar voice spook behind him. Eiji turnern slowly listening to that heart beat. It was slowing down, but speed up once Eiji locked eyes with the taller man. It was Kaidou, probably doing his early morning training.

"…Eiji…" Kaidou breathed. The man was warm. His body was radiating heat from his work out. And smelled so good.

"…oh yum." Eiji whispered, "you smell really good."

The poor man blushed. And Eiji without realizing it himself grabbed the front of Kaidou shirt and yank him down so they were face to face. Kaidou's body not only obeyed but became warmer.

"A…are you…okay Eiji…sem..pi?" The viper stuttered. The taller mans unsure domineer seemed to snap Eiji out of it. The red head jumped back quickly setting of enough momentum to push Kaidou back landing on his butt.

"ouf."

'It's Kaidou! It's Kaidou! NOT FOOD! KAIDOU IS NOT FOOD!' Eiji screamed mentally, holding his head with his hands.

Kaidou got to his feet and walked up to spastic boy. "Whats wrong Sempi?"

Eiji stepped back from kaidou as he drew near. The mans pulse was defining, his smell intoxicating. Eiji held his breath.

'Where did that damn cat go?!' he thought trying to redirect his sences.

"I'm fine just a little under the weather. You…" Eiji looked at the bush next to him to try to distract himself. "Jog this way?"

For some reason Eiji's question caused Kaidou to flush again and the acrobat had to clench his jaw tight. The bush wasn't working so he looked passed it to the house.

"Yeah…um, You're up even early today sempi." Kaidou said following Eiji's gaze to the house next to them.

'There are three people in the house…Kaidou stopped running, why is his heart beat still so erratic?!'

"Yeah trying something new or rather…"

"If you're not feeling well maybe you should have stay in bed longer." Kaidou said with a hint of concern which touch and mortified Eiji. His mind was racing telling him that Kaidou's concern was a weakness he could use against him. He was his Prey after all.

"Well I don't want to keep you from training! I'll see you later!"Eiji said then ran passed the confused second year. He could still feel Kaidou standing behind him as he left and even continuing his jogging again, in thankfully the opposite direction. Slowly kaidou faded from his senses and Eiji was free to be distracted by everything as well as willow in grief.

Eiji decided to walk to the more secluded areas of his home district. He couldn't go to school like this. It would be a disaster. And he couldn't go home he might hurt someone in his family. Finding a deserted tennis court he sat down in the middle of it. He pulled his knees to his chest and leaned his back against the net. He wished he brought his tennis bag. If there was anything that could make him feel better about his situation it was tennis.

He had to think. All of this was new to him. He had no idea what he was doing. He needed help. Help. His master! But how to find him?

'No need to look Eiji, I'm coming for you.'

"Master Tetusya!" Eiji called out.

'Stay where you are. I'll be there soon.'

'Okay.' Eiji responded mentally, tightening his hold around his legs. An odd warmth filled him and he closed his eyes and welcomed it.
