I have decided to move up the timeline. I keep trying to write the story and I kept hitting a wall, but I think the timeline was giving me too much time and the new season was giving me more to work with.

SO NOW THERE IS THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE TURN INSTEAD OF SEVEN.

And I am ad libbing a little with the details, since The Turn is a mystery I am just saying what I think could have happened.

Hopefully all caps will catch the people who usually don't read the beginning!

And sorry for the long break I work at the largest Victoria's Secret in our district and holiday season is terrible! So apologies! But I read my fic and was super sad that the story didn't go further, so now I must write!

Oh! And the info I got for Rick was pretty interesting on www. hitfix. com just google "Why did rick go into a coma" And it is the second link! So I am thinking it is a little over a week since Rick had been left. And in the most dire of circumstances someone can last 8 days without water, though most die with 3.

Okay. I'm done! Enjoy!

Rick's POV

Hershel was the smart one. He pulled everyone out of their minds and made a plan. The confused people who don't know what is going on, they are to be sent inside. It almost hurt to see Sophia leave her mom, but Carol asked Lori to keep an eye on her, so it worked out well when she nodded.

When Glenn finally separated from Maggie we gave him our greetings and Hershel walked over to a picnic table and beckoned us all to sit at it. Everyone except Daryl and I did, and we stayed shoulder to shoulder at the head of the table.

"Well, we seem to be in a predicament." Hershel stated first. Everyone nodded and was quiet again, but what do you say about being sent back in time with a lighting storm that wasn't really lightning?

I guess it's my time to speak up. "So as far as we know, we went back in time, so we have to assume everything is going to happen like we have seen it happen. We have three months before The Turn. And Jenner told us the start of The Turn, was five months before symptoms showed, so everyone who has it already has it, we just have to make sure everyone stays healthy. Now does anyone remember the beginning? I was in a coma, so sadly I don't."

Carol started with, "I remember watching the news before, in the beginning I mean, a few months before everything went down there was something in Miami, they said it was a new drug, but the reports would pile in random places like someone ripping his organs out in New Jersey, and people trying to eat their friends. Nobody paid it any attention, but I think that was the start of it, people had the disease and maybe they would get sick, overdose, basically die somehow and turn to a walker, before anyone knew what it was, and people would blame it on a new drug. The Turn was when the sickness hit it's peak, I guess, you either lived or died from the sickness that's been going through your body."

I nodded. "It does make sense. When I got shot I got an infection, but I don't know why I went into a coma for so long. It very well could have been the my body using everything to fight the infection, and the disease because I woke up shortly after the hospital fell, and that was after the sickness hit it's peak through the world. I woke up when my body decided not to die."

"So why didn't a lot of people start waking up at their funerals?" Glenn piped up, "I'm pretty sure everyone would be aware if walkers started waking up at their funeral."

"Who knows, I do know the turn is different for each person, so it could just be the long turns woke up in the ground, and the short turns were called druggies." I answered best I could, though who knows this sickness is one with tons of changes. But now we had to figure out what to do next.

"Well now we have to decide what to do next. Do we tell our families, do we tell the world? How do we handle the next three months?"

Daryl nudged my shoulder and said, "I think we should get our priorities in order. We have three months to prepare. We have money that we won't need, we know what needs to be done and we know what's about to happen. Lets go buy all the food we can buy, and gas, clothes, camping gear, silent weapons. And guns we can handle right before shit hits the fan, we can just steal those. But we need to get all the shit we never thought about when the world was going to shit. Like shampoo, deodorant and fucking toilet paper."

I chuckled along with the others in the room nodding at the thought of having the basics you forget about in the apocalypse.

Glenn put his two cents in as well, "What about the farm. We know we lost it, but now that we have time, we can put up the right defences, we know about the herds and we know how they work. This time, we can start a garden, and breed the animals. But what about the rest of the team?"

We all looked at Glenn questioning, this is the team.

"You know the team before, the ones we lost. It's obvious that the ones who didn't live don't have the memories, but we still can't abandon them. Like Dale, Andrea and T-Dog. We can't just leave them, who knows what would have happened if they didn't camp with us."

"How would we find them in the first place?"

"Well the four of them were together by the time we met them on the evac trail. So maybe we could find them then, I remember the mile marker we got stuck at when we watched Atlanta get bombed, we were there for a while before we moved out because of the Walkers and found our camp." Carol added.

"Okay. We will attempt to get them from the evac trail, but we can't get separated or pick up hundreds of people. We can't save everyone, and we can't trust anyone other than us." The whole group solemnly nodded in agreement, they have been betrayed too many times.

Agan Daryl spoke up and asked, "So what about Shane, and Merle. What are we gonna do about them? Merle was a dick before and after the shit went down, so I think we can deal with him, now that he doesn't hate you all for leaving him on the roof, but Shane, he went bad, what's to say he won't again?"

I was quiet for a bit. Thinking. There is no guarantee, but we can't leave him to die, he knows where we are, and he was a friend. "We will have to keep an eye on him, we can't leave him to die, but we won't let him kill again, Otis was the last straw, we all have a second chance so he gets one, but the second we see him spiral we have to end it. We made our mistakes, you all know I have, so this time we are going to get it right. Now I think we need to pull the rest of the group in and tell them everything. Carol, you should talk to Sophia inside, tell her whatever you need to tell her, whether that is everything or nothing. And Carl, are you okay? With Shane and all?"

"I get it dad, he couldn't handle seeing his world change, and he went bad. We will do what we have to do." With a nod to him and a glance at everyone here we were ready to do this right.
