Suddenly I See

The distant, low sounded voices roused him from his nightmare. Smacking his lips, Finn opened his heavy eyes. With hazed eyes, Finn took in his surroundings. This is not where he expected to be. He expected to be in his room, the room he shared with Rachel and its light blue walls, black and white art of New York landmarks and cream colored bedding.

"In recent developments, suspected rumors and speculations on Broadway Queen, Rachel Berry and Actress Quinn Fabray romantic relationship have been confirmed. Photos of the couple coming out of doctor's office have quickly spread. In the photo you could see a worried and concern Quinn wrapping an arm around Rachel and kissing her head. In another the couple could be seen in an intimate embraced and softly kissing. It is rumored that the doctor's visit was to confirm Rachel's pregnancy. It has been neither confirmed nor denied whether that statement is true. Now, remember Quinn Fabray is intersex and from interviews able to conceive. We've tried contacting Rachel's and Quinn's publicist but neither has responded."

Finn turned on his back and faced the TV. It was on ET and baring the right corner where the anchor spoke, the screen was filled with photos and photos of Rachel and Quinn fucking Fabray.

"There has been no word on Rachel's husband, Finn Hudson. From what we understand he's staying at a friend's to cope with the drama and media. And in other news, Kanye and Kim…," The anchor trailed off, moving onto another subject.

It all suddenly came back to him. He was in the hospital after fainting after Rachel delivered the devastating blow that she was pregnant, pregnant with Quinn's fucking Fabray's baby. He wonders how he got to the hospital and if Rachel came with him. It looks like the news of his hospitalization has been covered with him visiting friends to lick his wounds.

"Bro, you're awake. You've been out for like two days. Not that I blame you. I mean, I would've shot myself in the nuts if I found out my wife was cheating on me with a girl-dude and got pregnant by her," a voice says from the doorway.

Finn turns towards the voice. "Puck," Finn groans in annoyance. "What are you doing here?"

"Did you know I'm listed in your emergency contact list? Seriously. I thought for sure it'll be Little Miss Diva, but, hey, it was me. I was fucking Sugar Motta when I got the call and caught the first train out. Just like her name she is fucking sweet." Puck grabbed the chair from the corner, swing it backward and straddling it. Crossing his forearms over the back, he grinned lasciviously. "Does Berry taste like Berries?"

Finn shivered. "Don't know. I don't like do…that."

Puck's eyes grew large. "Dude, what man doesn't love eating out pussy? Besides, ya know, pretty boys."

Finn shrugged. "I don't. It doesn't appeal to me."

"No wondered Rachel fucked Fabray. You didn't please your woman."

Finn's face turned flaming red. "Get out!"

"Chill, man. I was just fucking with you." Puck took a deep breath. "Talk, Bro. Tell me from the beginning."

So Finn did. He told Puck, embarrassed, of his performing issues and lack of equipment. About the discussion he had with his friend, Rob, about watching his wife fucking other men and loving it and how that idea popped into mind. How Rachel ended up picking Quinn and them fucking until the next morning. How he suspected something was happening with Rachel but didn't know until the other night when she told him that she's been fucking Quinn fucking Fabray for almost nine months and is pregnant with her baby.

"…I mean, Quinn fucking Fabray. I fucking hate the bitch and Rachel knew this. Why did she have to pick Quinn? Any other person would've done but her…no." Finn wiped angrily at his fallen tears.

Puck blew out a deep breath. "I'm gonna be honest with you, okay?" Finn nodded. "You're in love with Fabray, like, whatever. Anyways, the point is you want some of her she-dude dick. Always have."

"I'm not gay, Puck. And I would never be into that…thing."

Puck sat up. "No. Think about it. You've always had this intense, unexplained hate for her. Since like Kindergarten you've always had a thing for her. I remember before Rachel showed up to Mrs. Kennings class, you were always staring at Fabray until you saw her talking to Berry. Then shit went down. Then, when you found out Fabray was going to ask Berry out, you swoop in with your Prince Charming attitude and old ass Journey songs and wooed Berry. You're not jealous of Fabray, you're jealous of your own wife. She has Fabray and you don't."

"I can't be in love with her. I hate her," Finn said but not denying any of Puck's observations.

"There's a thin line between love and hate," was Puck's response.

Finn thought about Puck's word throughout the day until he was deemed able to be release the next day. He decided to stay at Puck's hotel room with him. They fell back into their old friendship and Finn realized just how much he missed it. The news over Rachel and Quinn's relationship skyrocketed once they confirmed that Rachel was in fact pregnant with Quinn's baby. He could have made money by selling stories to the media but decided against it. He wasn't that kind of man.

The night of his release and drinking a cold IPA, Finn turned to Puck. "I suddenly see it, Puck. I've been in love with Fabray." Finn downed the rest of his beer. "Does this make me gay? I don't get hot looking at other dudes so I don't think so."

Puck belched. "Well…technically, Fabray is a chick with man parts. So maybe you just love her for her and you don't see the dick part." Puck suddenly laughed. "It just dawned on me…you love Quinn fucking Fabray."

Five Years Later – McKinley High's Class of 2012 Fifteen Year Reunion – Lima, Ohio.

Finn paid for another beer and quietly surveyed the room. He stills remembers that night five years ago. A lot has changed since then. When it was time for Puck to board the train back home, he was right behind him with his little belongings. He had never felt at home in New York and with the drama still surrounding Quinn and Rachel, he saw it has his chance to go to back home.

It only took a year for him and Rachel to separate since neither was contesting the divorce and with nothing really to divide since all was in Rachel's name, it went by fast. The only problem was alimony. He declined, Rachel insisted but in the end he decided to compromise and asked if he could have just have enough to open up his new shop in Lima. It was lesser than what Rachel was offering but he didn't care. All he wanted to do was move on.

H&P Bros was soon born. It was a mechanic shop he had started with Puck. Surprisingly, Puck knew a lot about cars. It started off slow but soon the business picked up and now they were doing well enough for Puck to take Sugar to Cancun for their anniversary and for him to buy his dream car, a 1967 Mustang, and fully restore it.

So, all-in-all he'll have to say he's doing pretty damn well for himself.

Walking back to Puck was when he spotted a flash of blonde. Shaking his head to diminish the thought, cause he knows Rachel and Quinn both didn't R.S.V.P, he continued his journey. He had long ago gotten over his crush or unrequited love for Quinn Fabray. He was dating a nice woman named Anne and was looking at potential rings.

"Can I get a cranberry juice with a splash of lime and a Stella, please?" a voice said from behind him.

Turning slowly, Finn made contact with the one and only, Quinn Fabray. She was still beautiful, Finn concluded. He was now able to see that. She was wearing dark skinny jean with worn out red chucks and a black Smiths shirt. Her hair was cut shaggy and tussled in complete disarray.

He wasn't going to lie. He kept in contact with Rachel and Quinn through various media outlets. He knew Rachel and Quinn welcomed a baby girl named, Arabella Rose. She had Rachel's dark brown, curly hair and Quinn's deep green, hazel eyes, smile and charm. The paparazzi loved her. Sixth months after Arabella's birth, Rachel and Quinn got married in a very, private, intimate wedding that not even the press knew of. It was only discovered when Rachel and Quinn had sold photos to Vogue for over a million and then gave the money to charity. They were now expecting their second baby in September.

Finn licked his lips nervously. "Hey," he said quietly.

"Hey, Finn," Quinn said hesitantly. "How – How are you?"

Finn smiled. "Surprisingly, good," he said with a smile. "I opened up my own business three years ago."

"That's amazing, Finn. Truly."

"So, uh, how are you? I heard you and Rachel had a little girl. Named Arabella, right? She's what four, five now."

Quinn smiled and Finn realized Quinn wasn't just beautiful, she was lovely.

"She'll be five in July." Quinn sucked in a deep breath. "Listen, Finn. I just wanted to apologize. How everything went down…it was shitty. I couldn't stop myself if I've tried, but we still shouldn't have treated you the way we did. It was wrong of us and I just wanted to apologize."

Finn shook his head. "I should be apologizing. I've should've a long time ago. I was really fucked up to you, and you really didn't deserve half the shit I did to you. It was never about Rachel, Quinn. It was always about you," Finn said softly.

Quinn's breath hitched and Finn laughed.

"I know. It was a shock to me, too. It took me years to overcome it but I did. You and Rachel will always have a small part of my heart but Anne will always own it. I fell madly in love with this amazing woman and it made me realize what I felt with you was this small fraction compared to her. I was never in love with Rachel the way you are with her. My relationship with Rachel wasn't healthy. We were sucking the life out of each other, trying to stick together for some teenage dream of the perfect romance. When I realized I had repressed feelings for you, it changed my life. Then I met Anne and I realized what I felt for you didn't even come close to when I feel for her. I'm no longer angry with you and Rachel. What's done is done."

"I'm…I'm sorry, Finn. I don't know what to say but…I'm sorry. I wish I could say I change everything, I regret everything but that means not being with Rachel and that's not an option for me."

"It's okay, I understand. Speaking of the diva," Finn said, looking over Quinn's shoulder.

"Hey," Rachel addressed Quinn, giving her a chaste kiss. "You were taking too long."

"Yeah, sorry," Quinn looked sheepishly at Rachel. "I ran into Finn. We got to talking and I guess time flew." Quinn looked down at the drinking still in her hands. "I doubt you'll want watery cranberry juice. I'll get you another."

Quinn kissed Rachel on the cheek, silently having a conversation with her. Rachel marginally gave her a nod.

Rachel licked her lips, caressing her swollen belly. "Do you want to maybe take a walk with me?"

Finn nodded. They walked in silence until they reached the auditorium.

"I met Anne. She seems really nice," Rachel said.

"She is. She was the nurse helping my friend when he accidently got his hand crushed when an engine fell on it."

"I'm glad. You deserve someone like her." Rachel worried her bottom lip. "I guess we should start talking. We just…I just wanted to apologize, Finn. We didn't mean to hurt you. You were the last person we wanted to hurt but…It was hard," Rachel choked out. "So hard. I had never felt so much. It consumed my every fiber, pore, cell…soul. She consumed my soul. Suddenly my breath wasn't mine but hers. My heart, lungs, bones…all hers. I know you probably don't want to hear all this but I need you to understand," Rachel sobbed out, harshly wiping away her falling tears. "I never meant to hurt you."

"Hey, hey," Finn soothed, pulling Rachel into his arms.

Rachel cried into his chest while he gently rubbed soothing circling on her back, trying to comfort her. When Rachel cries quieted, Finn pulled back and looked directly into Rachel's eyes.

"I understand, Rachel. I forgive you. Okay? I forgive you," Finn said, wiping away Rachel's tears. "Let's head back. I'm sure Quinn is looking for you. You really have a beautiful family. I can see she really loves you. Always have."

Rachel stretched up on her toes and placed a kiss on Finn's cheek. "You're a good man, Finn. Anne…is simply perfect. She's beautiful and lovely. Have a good life, Finn. You deserve it."

Finn blushed. "She's why I understand. I wish you the same, Rach. You deserve a good life, also. From the looks of it, you're already there. Take care."

Finn knew this would probably be the last time he saw Rachel Berry in person. He was glad they all got the closure they all needed and was now about to move on.

Finn walked out of the auditorium and found his feature in blue eyes staring back at him with such love and tenderness it took his breath away.

"Let's go home," Finn said, wrapping an arm around Anne.

Five months later while he and Anne were waiting at the check-out line, his eyes landed on the latest People magazine with a picture of Rachel, Quinn, Arabella and their newest edition, Arastrella Jude, on the cover.

He skimmed through the article, laughing when about naming their daughter. How Quinn had picked the name after a character in a game and Jude was in remembrance after her late mother, who had died three years ago from cancer.

Finn put the magazine away, looking at his beautiful fiancée; Finn realized he didn't regret one thing.

The End.

A/N: So it's a little late, but it's out and complete. I'm actually happy with the outcome. I am now able to rest my head a little and get started on my newest one and completing my others. As for the sequel or companion pieces about the development of Rachel and Quinn's relationship behind the scenes, I'm have ideas but it won't be for a while. I feel like I need to complete all my others before continuing with a new one.

I'm also glad a lot of you liked the Finn's POV. I was a little hesitant to write it but I thought, fuck it. This story was never about bashing Finn. I don't have a problem with any of the characters on Glee. I may dislike some more than others but I'm not really into the whole bashing thing.

The cheating and Finn being in love with Quinn was planned from the very beginning and though I don't condone cheating and I've been through a cheating situation with, I do understand.

And on that note, I want to thank you all for the reviews, favorites and follows. Hope to see you again.
