Spencer
The house is too quiet so she convinces Aiden to throw a party in it.
He's hesitant until she tells him the silence is killing her.
It only takes a day for it to be considered "the party of the year" and soon everyone in the halls is talking about it (she gets asked if she's going five times by strangers).
She provides the money and Aiden hooks her up with a DJ and booze to last years.
She has Aiden hire security to make sure NO ONE goes up stairs.
(she wants his room to stay the same)
/
The party is packed.
Everyone is drunk and dancing and for once she can't hear the silence of the house.
She stays at the top of the staircase with the security and sips the red cup while watching the people below her.
Aiden comes up the stairs and she motions for the security to let him pass. He stands next to her and follows her gaze down below.
"Is this what you wanted?" He glances at her and she nods her head. "This is temporary you know? Sooner or later you'll have to figure out…"
"I know," she cuts him off before he can finish. She doesn't want to think about the future right now. She knows Aiden means well, but talking about Gl… him isn't something she's ready to do.
Aiden waits for her to say anything and after ten minutes of silence he goes back to the party. She figures it's to find Madison.
She's not left alone for long before she feels a familiar presence.
On instinct she looks to her right and sees Ashley waiting by the security. The two brutes look at her for an okay and she nods her head.
Ashley positions herself in Aiden's old spot and the entire right side of Spencer's body burns from being so close to her.
It takes everything in her not to kiss the brunette.
"Why are you here?" She takes the mean route instead. She can do anger, anger is easy.
"I heard there was a raging party and you know me." The brunette points at the red cup in Spencer's hand before asking "coke?"
Spencer nods. Ashley doesn't make another comment after that because they both know why she doesn't drink (Ashley only knows part of the reason).
"About the other day…"
"I miss you too." The words spill out before Spencer can stop them and she feels herself tearing up.
This is not want she wants right now.
She pushes away from the rail, but Ashley catches her elbow.
"Spencer…"
"Please don't. Don't do this right now." She rips her elbow from the brunette and tries to catch the breath that she held when they made contact. "I can't…"
"I love…"
The slap surprises the both of them and it takes all of Spencer's energy not to cry and ask for forgiveness. Ashley holds her cheek and Spencer wants so bad to kiss away the pain, to erase everything that she's done to the brunette.
She says "I don't want your love" and storms off instead.
She hides in Glen's room for the rest of the party and cries over pictures of her past.

The day after the party she finds out what she missed.
Trent David, the class nerd, asked Madison to dance. Aiden didn't do anything about it, but apparently the football team did.
They stripped him naked and wrote "fat bitch" in permanent marker on his body.
Then they made him walk home while everyone called him names.
Spencer can't help, but feel like this will come back to haunt everyone.
(but then again, everything haunts her lately)
/
She passes Ashley in the hall once when no one is around.
The brunette doesn't even look her way.
It hurts more than Glen's absence.
/
The house is still too fucking quiet.
