Author's Note: Hello everyone. I hope you're enjoying my speedy updates again. I decided to treat you all with TWO chapters today to make up for my long time absence. (I also did the same for my story The Pain of the Dragon for those that might be reading that one too.)
Chapter Seven: Surprise, Surprise
"Hello," a man wearing a tweed jacket, suspenders, and a bright red bow tie said smiling brightly.
"Hi," I said raising my lead dagger. "Who are you?"
"I'm the Doctor," he said smile widening. "And this is Jack, Merlin and Arthur, and Sherlock and John.
"Doctor who," Sammy asked.
"Just the Doctor."
"How in the world did all of you walk out of that box," I asked.
"It's my TARDIS."
"TARDIS?"
"Time and Relative Dimension in Space."
"Basically it means he can time travel along with space traveling," the man supposedly known as Sherlock said.
"Are you supposed to be Sherlock Holmes," Sammy asked.
"I am Sherlock Holmes."
The "Doctor" bounced on his feet in glee.
"You're still ecstatic that you have Sherlock Holmes and Merlin Emrys traveling with you, aren't you, Doctor," Jack asked.
"Aren't you excited," the Doctor asked pointedly.
"Yes, they're hot!"
"Now, now, Jack, behave."
Jack pouted.
"Okay," I said sighing. "None of this explains how you could all fit into that small box!"
"I'm a Timelord. I have Timelord technology. Simple," the Doctor said.
"What's a Timelord," Merlin asked.
"It was a race of people from a planet called Galifrey. They're all gone now. I'm the last of my kind."
"I know what that feels like."
"How?"
"I'm the last Dragonlord. When my dad died, his powers passed on to me."
The Doctor smiled sadly. He knew what that was like.
"Alright, alright," I said. "Now explain to me what's going on here!"
"Dean be nice," Sammy said.
"I can't help it, Sammy! These weirdoes just materialized here in a small blue box claiming to be supposedly fiction characters, an alien, and I don't know what that other guy is!"
"I understand, but clam down and let them explain."
"I'll do that," John said.
"Go ahead," Sammy said taking the lead.
"Sherlock and I were having a normal day in our flat…."
About twenty minutes later Sammy and I were fully debriefed. Of course we believed them. If anyone looked at our life, it would be just as crazy, if not more. We explained this point—well Sherlock did; which I promptly slugged him for—when Arthur scoffed at our quick acceptance.
"Dean, Sam," Cass said as he materialized next to us, and John and Arthur jumped. "There is trouble in the air."
"We know Cass," I said. "We already had a run in with these folks who told us of two witches and a psychopath who might pay us a visit soon."
"Would you like my assistance in this situation?"
"We would love it, Cass."
"You would at least," Sherlock muttered.
"What," I asked.
"It's pretty obvious you two are 'involved', or at least you want it to be that way."
"Why you."
"I can tell by—"
"I happen to have been an angel of the Lord," Cass said. "And I dare you to finish that sentence."
"I would love to," Sherlock countered.
"Don't make me smite you," Cass threatened.
"Or make me punch you again."
Sammy faced palmed, and Merlin started laughing.
"Or I could go into the 'friendship' of a certain Warlock and his King."
This shut Merlin up.
"Sherlock, I hate to break it to you, but you're wrong on this one," John said. "What you're seeing isn't sexual tension … its loyalty. A fierce loyalty. But, that's not the point. Be nice."
Sherlock pouted, but he kept quiet. Thank goodness!
"So what's our plan," Cass asked.
"We don't know yet," Arthur said. "We've kind of been thrown in one situation after the other. There's been no time to plan."
"Well, we should start now."
Arthur nodded and he walked off with Cass and the Doctor.
"What should we do," John asked.
"Well, I usually research at this point," Merlin said. "Or call Kilgharrah."
"Do you think he's still alive," Sammy asked.
"It's hard to think of him being dead," Merlin replied. "But I can still sense something."
"II can go with you to call Kilgharrah," I offered. "Sammy and John can research."
"What about Sherlock," John asked.
"I'm going with the Doctor, Cass, and Arthur. They'll need my insight on Moriarty," he said. "I'm the closest thing about understanding him."
I nodded and Sherlock strolled over to the other two.
"Shall we," I asked.
Merlin nodded.
"I'm going to need to be in a wide open area," he said. "Preferably somewhere secluded."
I nodded and motion him to jump into my baby. He hesitated a moment, but opened the door and hopped in.
"Wow," he said as I sped down the freeway.
"You like," I asked smiling.
"It's faster than a horse!"
"Yes, she is."
"Is she alive like the Doctor's TARDIS?"
"No. She's only a machine, but she's still my baby."
"You bore her?!"
"No! What I meant was that she's like my child. Not is my child."
"Oh."
Merlin still looked confused, but I couldn't blame him. It must be different to just appear in a whole other time. A time when everyone thought you to be a myth. Just a story. I couldn't even imagine it … Well I guess I could. Once I was pulled into another time by a god, but that was another story.
"So, Merlin, what's it like being Arthur's man servant," I asked to make converstaition.
"It's hard work," he said. "I'm usually pulled in about five different directions because of all my responsibilities. I have to work for Arthur—which means cleaning his room, washing his clothes, polishing his armor, and so on. Plus, I'm Gaius' assistant. I have to pick herbs for him, clean the leech tank, take medicine to people; sometimes I'll be called when there is a plague. I also have my destiny. I have to follow people, research in all Gaius' many books, leave for a couple days or lie on the spot, then I have to foil whatever plan there is."
"It sounds hard."
"It is hard."
At this point we reached our destination. But, then all these horns blare and people wearing FBI uniforms jump out of black SUV's shouting, "Dean Winchester, get down on the ground with your hands on your head!"
Reviews:
Sanna Black Slytherin: I hope you like my choice of which Doctor. ;P I hope you liked the new characters. And maybe. Don't know. I haven't decided on anymore BBC show characters … unless you count Jack from Torchwood (even though I took him from the Doctor Who side). But, can you tell which show is being added now?
