Chapter 7

Gypsy was the only one at school that day, well, for the whole day since Scott and Allison showed up but left in a hurry without giving her a reason. She had no idea where Stiles, Isaac, Erica and Boyd were but then again who does these days. Danny was still in the hospital, something about being in an incident at a club.

It was boring that whole day and even so when she got home. Scott wasn't there so she just listened to music while doing homework. But at night it was very interesting because Gypsy and Melissa had to go down to the Sherriff's station. Scott and Stiles were in trouble and had gotten a restraining order against them from Jackson.

I waited outside the interrogation room while Stiles' dad read out the terms of the restraining order. She tried to figure out why Jackson had put a restraining order against them, they must've done something pretty stupid to get them in this much trouble. I heard Scott and Melissa argue a bit but then it settled.

In the subway, Isaac was talking to Derek about getting the help of Scott and Stiles.

"So why do we need their help?" he asked sceptically.

"Because it's harder to kill than I thought," Derek said walking off the train. "And I still don't know who it is."

"And they do?"

"They might. Which is why I need one of you to be on their good side."

"Hmm, Scott or Stiles?" Erica asked knowing the answer. "Ooh, even better, why not have Isaac use Gypsy, you've already got her wrapped around your finger. It'll be easy."

"No," Isaac growled. "I'm not going to use her, I've already hurt her so I'm not going to make it worse by using her. I care about her, Erica, when did you stop?"

"I don't care," Derek said. "Anyone of them would be fine."

Derek opened the trunk and started to go through it.

"You know the full moon is coming, Derek," Isaac said.

"I'm aware of that."

Derek pulled out the restraints and head band and threw them on the floor.

"These look comfortable," Erica said.

"You said you were gonna teach us to change whenever we wanted," Isaac said getting a little annoyed.

"It hasn't been time," was all that Derek replied.

"But if you have to lock us up during the full moon that means, that means you're going to be alone against the Argents."

"They haven't found us."

"Yet."

Derek walked away from them without the slightest thought to turn back and explain to them why.

"So how about we forget the Kanima," Isaac suggested which really pissed Derek off.

"We can't," Derek yelled. "There was something about the way Gerard looked at it. He wasn't afraid, at all. Look, I don't know what he knows or what he's planning but I'm sure about one thing. We have to find it first."

Back at the station, Melissa, Scott and Gypsy were heading home. It was quiet all the way which made it a very long drive home. The silence was making the tension worse in the car, Gypsy could feel it and she knew Scott did too.

"Okay, I'm going to go have a shower and then I'm off to bed," Melissa said walking up the stairs. "You two should do the same."

Once Melissa was in the bathroom, Gypsy rushed into Scott's room and demanded to know what was happening.

"What the hell is going on?" she said a little annoyed at how Scott was keeping her in the dark.

"It's Jackson," he said.

"What's Jackson?"

"The Kanima."

"What, how?"

"I don't know but I know it's him."

"What the hell is going on?"

"I wish I knew."

"Scott, please tell me that you've got everything under control."

"I sort of do."

"Whatever, I'm going to bed now. Scott, next time don't keep me in the dark."

"I won't, I promise."

Gypsy walked back into her room and changed into something more suitable for bed. She laid down on the bed and got under the covers, she didn't fall asleep at all that night.

Isaac was having a nightmare that night. They were in the halls of Beacon Hills High standing against the lockers, just him, Scott and Stiles.

"She's dead, Scott," Isaac growled. "Do you understand that? Try to show some emotion, please."

"I know, Isaac," Scott yelled back. "I have to pretend that Gypsy is still alive for my mother's sake because she thinks Gyps ran away. This is hurting me more than it is hurting you because all of this is mostly my fault."

"Guys," Stiles said who was staring off into the distance at someone.

It was Gypsy but she looked very different, her hair was a much darker red and it was shorter. Her skin was pale and she had claw mark on her face that turned into a scar.

She was pulling out books from her locker.

They all walked over to her.

"Gypsy," Scott said which caused her to turn around and look at them.

Her eyes were different as well, they were a more rich kind of green, like emerald.

"Can I help you?" oblivious to the reason why they had come over and talk to her.

"Uh, we were just wondering if you wanted to hang out with us after school," Stiles said.

Gypsy just scoffed and turned back to her locker.

"Stiles, in the 12 years that I've known you when have we ever hung out together?" she said.

She didn't remember anything, her friendship with Stiles and Scott and her relationship with Isaac had never happened in her mind.

Isaac's eyes opened and he sat up immediately.

What the hell was that?
