"Sweets? Anyone for some sweeeeeeetttsss?" The lady with the cart sang outside of their small compartment.

"Will you shut that god damned door, Avery?" Alle snapped, her eyes not leaving the rolling countryside but Avery was no where to be found.

"Well someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Cedric, who was sitting next to Alle, commented. The frustrated brunette smirked nonsensically, shifting to rest her head on Cedric's shoulder. He stiffened for a moment but then relaxed. Such a sweet boy, he should be more confident in himself, Alle thought.

"I didn't sleep much last night," she mumbled rubbing her head into his shoulder as if it were a pillow.

"Why not?" The boy asked quietly adjusting his head to compliment hers.

"What do you do all summer?" She questioned, seemingly changing the topic.

"Thats not what we're talking about," the boy tried but knowing the girl's stubbornness he compiled. "I'll probably play some quidditch go watch a match or two with my dad. Mum always bakes cookies for our team and we eat them outside if it's sunny. But other than that I'm not sure. Anything I guess. We do different things every year." Alle interrupted with a soft sigh.

"What about you?" The Hufflepuff boy nudged her. "What are you planning?"

"Reading, biking, practicing. Everyday, the same things everyday. Don't you see Cedric? I do the same things every day of summer. How would you feel like that? Knowing what's going to happen everyday," Alle said, the images of last summer flashing by.

"Well Alle," Cedric began nudging her in the side, "you're welcome to come over to the Diggory household whenever you wish. We may not be able to offer you adventures, but we're always happy to have you."

"Thank you, Ced," Alle grinned, shutting her eyes.

Moments later a certain brunette Hufflepuff girl came bursting into the compartment, about to go off onto a tangent about the Weasels, but seeing the odd situation in front of her she gasped, wrinkling her nose and sitting down with a huff. Cedric simply shook his head as Avery stared him down. In reality she had been in an empty compartment by herself sketching. Alle was too critical, and Cedric was too nosy. She especially didn't want them to see this drawing. It was a boy, a handsome boy with indistinct facial features. Even then she knew it was her dream boy, she just didn't know who it was. Avery took her eyes off Cedric for a moment and looked out of the window instead. They looked cute together, maybe she would act on that. For now it was time for summer.

Avery was already picturing annoying the wits out of Alle… if she ever found her cousin. Alle always disappeared during the summer. Danny would visit, obviously, and she would come out then, but before he arrived, she never seemed to be around. Yes, she would pop up to cook or something, but when Avery was bored and needed someone to do something with, she was nowhere in sight. She supposed she could go over to Cedric's, but she did that every year. Perhaps she'd go over to Fred's, but then she would have to see George. Ugh, summer would just be ruined. Finally she just decided not to fret about summer, and just let things happen.

"We're pulling in," she announced to the "resting" pair before stowing her notebook away. "Might want to start getting everything together."

Once the train had stopped, Avery immediately leapt up and moved to the door. However she spared a glance back, gazing at her cousin and best friend with an unreadable expression, before finally entering the train's corridor. Without waiting for Alle, she skipped off the train and made her way to the compartment in which she knew her trunk was located. There she waited, a smirk planted on her face, until Alle finally decided to show up.

"So… you and Ced getting a bit cozy, eh?"

Alle pointedly ignored her younger cousin and instead hefted her own trunk out from the compartment. Spotting her aunt and uncle, Alle started to stalk over, leaving Avery to scurry after. Etienne Lemaire grinned at the sight of the two girls and opened his arms for a hug once they were within a reasonable distance. Avery laughed and ran into her father's embrace, yelling, "Papa!" Before she too was pulled into the hug, Alle glanced over her shoulder and shot Cedric a wink.

Another school year done, but she wasn't done working. She had a whole summer to study and "work."
