Christmas With The Jackson's
"Percy!" Annabeth shouted, her voice echoing throughout the house. "Percy! Jason and Piper will be here any minute!"
"I can tie my tie!" He complained as he tromped up to his wife.
They had been happily married for eighteen years. They had four kids and one on the way.
"Come here, Dad." Madison, their thirteen almost fourteen year old daughter waved her hand at her Dad, trying to muffle her laughter.
The black haired man walked over to his blonde haired daughter. Her and her twin brother, Mark, looked almost nothing alike. Mark had black hair and green eyes like his Dad. Maddie had blonde hair and green eyes flecked with gray.
"Daddy!" His youngest at the time came running up to him.
Alice was five and the most adorable girl on the planet. She had her Momma's blonde hair and green eyes that changed color, depending on her mood. They got lighter green to darker green.
"I can't tie my dress." She frowned.
"Join the club, sweetheart." He tickled her stomach.
"Daddy!" She giggled. "You're not wearing a dress! You're wearing pants!"
"Oh course." He smiled. "Silly me!
"Dad." Maddie complained. "I can't tie it if you keep moving!"
"I don't get why we have to dress up." He complained to his oldest daughter.
"You know how much this means to Mom." She gave her Dad a look. "You guys haven't seen the Graces in a few years."
"Since Liam was born, Dad." Mark walked over to his twin and held out his tie. "Give this to Mom."
Percy scowled. "You guys are too smart."
All the Jackson children knew about the demigods and all the wars their parents were in. They had to explain the nightmares Percy and Annabeth still occasionally got from the Tartarus. They never wanted away completely.
"Percy!" Annabeth's voice was persistent.
"Coming, dear!"
"Don't call me 'dear'! Thats wierd. We've been married eighteen years, Jackson, and you've never called me 'dear'. Please don't start now."
Maddie and Mark laughed and went off to finish getting ready. Percy chuckled to himself and walked towards the bedroom he shared with his wife. She was standing in front of the full length mirror in her closet. He wrapped his arms around her swelling stomach.
"You look beautiful." He mumbled into her hair.
"I better." She wrinkled her nose. " This baby is killing me."
"Well, you always glow when you're pregnant. Like someone lit you on fire."
Annabeth knew that he was trying to sound romantic, but it so didn't. She covered her mouth with her hand to keep herself from laughing. But it was just too hilarious. She had giggles escaping while Percy just rolled his eyes at her.
"Where's Liam?" He asked.
"I think hes in the kitchen with Nicole. I asked them to make some M&M Christmas cookies." She answered, running a hand through her curls.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"They're here!" Alice squealed, running into her parents room.
Annabeth rushed out of the room. Percy smiled at his wife. She was excited to see Piper. The two had become close during Percy's disappearance during the Giant War. They hadn't seen each other since his oldest, Liam, was born.
He scooped Alice up and followed his family to the door. Annabeth was hugging and older looking Piper.
"Percy!" The brunette exclaimed when she saw the black haired man.
"Hey, Pipes!" He grinned and hugged her.
"Who is this?" She smiled at little Alice who hid her head in her Dad's neck.
"This is Alice." Percy introduced. "Shes our youngest at the moment."
"Perce!" Jason grinned, shaking Percy's hands.
"Hey, Superman! How've you been?"
Percy noticed how they had a few kids trailing after them. The oldest looked about fifteen and like he was peeved that he was forced to come. There was another boy who looked Maddie and Mark's age and two little ones that looked around five and three.
"This is Mark and Maddie." Annabeth introduced the twins. "Their thirteen. Alice is five and Lia- Wheres Liam?"
She looked quizzingly at Maddie.
"Kitchen, remember?"
Annabeth nodded. "Follow me."
The all tramped into the house and Piper, Jason, Josh, their oldest son, Percy, and Annabeth walked towards the kitchen where two teenagers were.
The were leaning over a bowl of M&M's. They were picking out the red and green ones for the Christmas cookies.
"No!" The girl laughed. "Liam! Thats orange."
"It looks red!" He grinned at her, flashing his dimples on each cheek.
"Nope." She held up the candy. "This is so orange, Liam."
The girl was sitting on the counter, while the guy was standing beside her, leaning on the counter. You could obviously tell that he was a Jackson. He had Percy's black hair but Annabeth's gray eyes. The girl didn't look like she was part of the family. She seemed rather comfortable, like this was her home, but she had golden blonde hair and deep blue eyes. She was wearing blue knit leggings with some kind of snowflake/winter pattern on them. She wore a long sleeved shirt that was longer in the back than in the front. Her hair was curly and tucked behind her ears while she sorted the candy. The boy, Liam, had messy black hair and startling gray eyes. They were mysterious, yet enticing at the same time.
"Hey, guys." Annabeth smiled at the two, interrupting their playful argument about colored M&Ms.
The girl looked over her shoulder, then spun around so she was facing them. She was sitting crisscross applesauce while the boy straightened up and placed a hand on her knee.
"Hi, Mrs. Jackson." She smiled, crinkles forming around her eyes.
"Hey, sweetheart. Piper, Jason, Josh, this is our oldest son Liam and his girlfriend Nicole." Annabeth beams, obviously proud of her son.
"Nicole's a demigod." Percy continued, picking up where his wife left off.
"Really?" Piper smiled.
Nicole smiled. "Yes, ma'am. I'm Apollo's daughter."
"You look like Apollo." Jason said, remembering the one time he met the god during the Giant War.
"I just have to say what an honor it is to meet you guys. The Seven back at camp are the biggest heroes ever."
Jason chuckled. "Even after all these years?"
"Yes, sir." She nodded, her face bright like her father's. "Well, I should probably get going."
Liam groaned, but helped her off the counter.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay, Nicole?" Annabeth offered. "You know you're always welcome."
"I know, Mrs. Jackson. Thank you, but I'll have to decline for now. I'll be back later, but I'm meeting my Mom at a diner not too far from here. She's in town and I want to spend Christmas dinner with her becasue she's flying back to Florida later tonight."
"Oh, well have fun, Nicole." Percy said as Nicole picked up her black boots that were resting against the wall.
"Eager to get rid of me, Mr. Jackson?" She asked, a teasing spark in her eyes. "I'll be back at seven you know. I do pretty much live here."
"You're like another daughter, Nikki." She grimaced at the nickname. "Of course, until someone makes it official."
Both Liam and Nicole blushed.
"I better go." The blonde girl kept her head down as she pulled on her coat and walked out of the room. Piper could see the vibrant pink on her cheeks.
"Dad!" Liam complained. "You completely scared her off!"
"Honey," Annabeth grabbed his chin. "Shes seen you're room. If she isn't scared yet, it'll bever happen."
Liam grumbled, and helped his Mom prepare for dinner.
"So," Piper tried to start a conversation with the young man. "How'd you meet your girlfriend, Liam?"
"I met her at camp." He said as he cut vegetables for the salad.
"You got to camp?" Piper raised and eyebrow.
"All of our kids do." Percy said. "Because of me, trouble tends to follow them around so its for safe keeping."
"We got cursed with his blood." Maddie said as she walked into the room, Darin, Piper and Jason's son, following her.
Percy's eyes followed them as they crossed the room. Annabeth had to hold in her chuckles as she watched her husband's green eyes flare.
"Anyway," Piper seemed to notice too and tried to hide her smile and get the burning gaze off her son. "How long have you been going out, Liam?"
"Seven months." He answered immediately, then blushed.
Josh shook his head and chuckled. "Thats sad man."
"Joshua." Jason said in a warning tone.
"But we've been friends for years." Liam continued.
"When did you meet?" Piper felt a bit guilty for prying, but what can she say? She's Aphrodite's daughter after all.
"We met when we were twelve. Thats when I first started going to Camp Half-Blood."
"Deja vu huh, Percy?" Annabeth sent a wink at her husband.
He just chuckled.
"Everyone ready to eat?" Annabeth asked as she started putting spoons into the dishes.
"Me!" Mark yelled from the living room, along with the younger kids.
"Let do this!" Jason stood up, grinning and rubbing his hands together.
As the kids were dishing things out, Percy came up beside his pregnant wife and wrapped an arm around her waist. Together they looked at their family.
Maddie was helping Alice get her food while Liam and Mark were throwing marshmallows into the air and seeing how many they could catch in their mouths.
"We did good, didn't we?" He said in her ear.
She nodded and smiled. "We did."
"Merry Christmas, Wise Girl."
"Merry Christmas, Perce."
