Ross takes a deep breath and knocks on the door. He puts a smile on his face and waits for Ellen to open the door.

"Ross? What are you doing here?" she grins.

"I came to-"

"Laur-"

"No!" Ross stops her, "I actually came to talk to you and Vanessa."

"Oh?" Ellen raises an eyebrow, but steps aside, "Vanessa!" she calls as she follows the teenager into the family room.

"What?" Vanessa asks as she comes down the stairs, "Ross?"

"Sit down," Ross gestures to the couch.

"Is everything alright?" Ellen asks quickly.

"I just need a favor," Ross tells her.

"Anything for you," Ellen says, "why, you're practically family."

This makes Ross smile, and he begins to explain.

"Laura, we're heading out to that party," Ellen calls up the stairs.

"Don't care," Laura mutters.

"Be back in a couple hours," Ellen adds. Laura hears their footsteps, keys jingling, and the door closing as they leave. She continues to lay in bed until she hears a knock on the door, it's Jared. She tries to sound at least a little bit excited as she greets him.

"Hey, babe," he leans in for a kiss and she fakes a cough.

"Um, Vanessa got me sick," she shrugs and turns away from him, wringing her hands together nervously.

"I don't even care," He grabs her waist and kisses her cheek.

"Want something to eat?" She scoots out of his arms and makes a bee-line for the kitchen.

"Why are you being so distant?" he follows her.

"I'm not," she laughs awkwardly.

"Then come here and kiss me," he smiles and opens his arms.

"You really should go," Laura grabs his wrist and tries to pull him towards the door. She can practically hear Ross laughing at her in her head.

"Why?" he pouts.

"Because I'm home alone," she replied frantically.

"Oh, even better," and he goes in for another kiss.

"Jared!" She screams.

"What? What's wrong?!" He jumps back a little bit.

"There's... there's a..." she thinks, "a bear! Outside!"

"A bear? What?" he turns to the window she's looking at. While he's distracted she runs to the living room. "Laura what are you- Laura?" He follows.

She's sitting on the couch, deliberatly stretched out so he can't sit near her, "Just relaxing."

"Is there something wrong?" He lifts her feet up and sits down, letting her legs fall into his lap.

"No," she pulls her feet under herself and sits up. He scoots closer to her and grabs her hand.

"Can I have a kiss?" he asks.

"Um... not right now," she pretends to cough again.

"Laur?" he smiles at her. She doesn't like how he calls her that, Ross calls her that. Only Ross.

"That's my name, don't wear it out," she chuckles.

"You're so cute," he pulls her close and kisses her. She immediatly feels guilty because all she can think is ew, ew, ew, please stop.

She coughs, and knows this is probably not the best way to break up a kiss. But ew can he just stop.

"I have algebra homework," she starts for the stairs.

"Here's a little math for you," he grins, "U plus I equals-"

"Jared, really," she sighs, "please leave."

"Fine," he groans, "don't know WHAT your frickin problem is," he walks out the door and slams it.

"Okay then," she skips up the stairs, happy that he's just gone.

She doesn't really have any homework, so there's nothing for her to do. But, her closet does need to be cleaned out. At least she'll have something to distract herself. From Jared being disgusting and from missing Ross so much.

She's organized her shoes by color, organized her sweaters by appropriate season, and sorted all her jewlery by weight and then she sees it in the corner on the floor.

Ross' hoodie, of course.

"That's wonderful, this is exactly what I need," she says. She intends for it to be sarcastic, but then she realizes that maybe this is what she needs right now. She thinks it over for a moment and unzips her jacket, tossing it on the newly cleaned floor. She pulls his red hoodie on in it's place. It smells exactly like him.

This is quite shocking considering she doesn't even know how long it's been in her closet, buried under all the things she's thrown in there. With his hoodie wrapped around her, she closes the closet and throws herself on her bed. She missed him a lot.

Raini calls and invites her over, Laura accepts and puts on a big jacket over Ross' hoodie because for some reason she isn't ready to take it off. So when Raini picks her up, Laura has to waddle to her car in a giant jacket in the California heat.

"Laura," Raini shakes her head, "why?"

"I'm a little chilly today," Laura says.

"Take that off before you have a heat stroke," Raini laughs.

"I'll take it off when we get to your house, nobody can see what's under it," Laura whispers, "meanwhile, could you turn up the air conditioner?"

"Uh, I guess," Raini shrugs.

"Thanks," Laura mumbles as she tries to fit the seatbelt over herself.

"Can I ask what's under your giant jacket that you're trying to hide?" Raini laughs as they drive away from her house.

"It's Ross' hoodie," Laura says quietly.

"Awww," Raini smiles, "are you two back together?"

"No."

"Then why do you have his hoodie?"

"Well," Laura sighs, "I found it in my closet and I was cold so I just-"

"Laura, you're lying," if Raini hadn't been driving she would've given Laura one of her famous 'looks'.

"I miss him, okay?"

"I'm happy to hear you say that out loud," a smile forms on Raini's face.

"So, what are we gonna do at your house?" Laura asks, hoping that Raini will take a hint.

"Well I was thinking we could make a pizza, maybe play some board games or watch a movie," Raini replies.

"Oh, sounds good," Laura nods. Neither of them say anything else and the rest of the drive continues in silence.

"Rico?!" Raini calls to the house. Laura hangs up her giant coat and drops her purse on the floor.

"Is he home?" Laura asks.

"I guess not," Raini shrugs, "he had a press confrence."

"Is anyone home?" Laura questions as she sits down on the couch.

"Nope," Raini replies.

"So when are we gonna make that pizza? I'm starving," Laura laughs.

"You didn't eat breakfast?" Raini gives her a look.

"No, I was going to but..."

"But what?" Raini leaves and goes into the kitchen.

"Jared interrupted me," Laura sighs, following her.

"Ooooh," Raini wiggles her eyebrows, "a little romance in the kitchen huh? You used protection, right?"

"Raini! Oh my God!" Laura blushes and swats her arm.

"Well," Raini gives her a look and pulls some vegetables out of the refridgerator.

"What?"

'"Details, Marano," Raini teases, "spill 'em."

"He probably wanted to," Laura shakes her head and grabs a knife from the drawer.

"Wanted to what?" Raini tries to hide a smile.

"He knew I was home alone so he probably got some ideas and I just," Laura takes another breath and shudders at the memory, "ugh."

"Jared's hot, Laura," Raini reminds her. She puts the veggies on the cutting board and starts to chop them up.

"He is," Laura shrugs, "but something didn't feel right."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, even though Ross and I aren't together..." Laura stops for a minute, "I felt like I was cheating on him."

"Well, I guess your heart still hasn't accepted the fact that you're broken up," Raini shrugs.

"Raini there isn't always some deep, emotional meaning behind everything," Laura sighs.

"Let's not talk about Ross anymore," Raini decides, "oh! Have you seen Frozen yet?"

Laura and Raini play a nice round of "Monopoly" (Laura wins by default because Raini "accidentally" kicks the boards off the table), they watch Tangled and eat pizza until they can't eat any more, and Raini offers to drive Laura home.

"I could just stay," Laura groans, she's tired and Raini's couch is getting more comfortable by the second.

Raini begins to panic, "Uh no," she shakes her head, "you can sleep in the car." Her phone vibrates in her pocket, it's Dove. Dove Cameron. She's asking about Ross' plan but Raini doesn't have the time to answer. It's 9:00 and she's got to get Laura out of here.

"Come on, love," Raini hooks an arm around her friend and pulls her off the couch.

"Alright, alright," Laura yawns. She picks up her bag from the floor and follows Raini out onto the porch. It's a little chilly, but nothing too cold.

"There are steps and you're drosy, be careful," Raini stays close to Laura as she stumbles down the stairs in exhaustion.

"Car isn't too far away."

They make it to her car in one piece and Laura's not injured. Raini let's her friend get settled in the passenger seat and she drives off.

Laura naps on the drive to her house and her eyes are just fluttering open when the turn onto her street. She jumps up and stares hard at her yard. There are candles lining the path leading up to her door.

"Oh my God, Raini look-"

"Yeah I know," Raini is grinning ear to ear as they come to a stop. Laura jumps out the car and runs between the two rows of candles up to the door. It's dark inside, so she's worried. But she pushes the door open and the lights slowly brighten and there stands Ross.

"Should've known you'd pull something like this," she says.

"I'm so sick of pretending that we don't miss each-other," he tells her, "I know you miss me, Laura."

"I don't," she looks down, up, and anywhere other than his eyes.

"Really? Why are you wearing my hoodie?" he chuckles.

"This? This is mine," she laughs suspiciously.

"Mhm," he nods and rolls his eyes. She's just now noticing the guitar strapped to his chest.

"What... what is all this?" she looks around at all the pretty flowers. He's really gone all out for her.

"I have a little song I want to sing for you," he mumbles.

"But-"

"I think I've walked too close to love, and now I'm falling in," he sings softly, strumming along with his guitar. She can feel herself falling for him again, not that she ever got up int he first place. She's been falling a little further every day since the moment she met him.

"Theres so many things this weary soul can't take." She can't help but notice how nice he looks, even in just a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and an undone plaid button up.

"Maybe you just caught me by surprise, the first time that I looked into your eyes." She wants to cry and launch herself into his arms, she didn't realize how much she missed him.

"There's a life inside of me, that I can feel again." She just now realizes what song this is. The same song that was playing on the radio as he drove her to the mall for their first date.

"It's the only thing that takes me, where I've never been, I don't care if i lost everything that i have known." All they did that night was argue over which records were better and then stuffed their faces with pretzel bites.

"It don't matter where i lay my head tonight, your arms feel like home." Of all the dates he's taken her on, that one was her favorite. Although she'd never say that because she knew how much planning he put into one of their dates.

"Feel like home, yhis life aint the fairy tale we both thought it would be." He's right, she always thought this relationship would be easy, just like a fairy tale. But being a 'celebrity' in a relationship isn't easy.

"But I can see your smiling face as it's staring back at me,I know we both see these changes now." Of course, leave it to Ross to remember what song was playing nearly a year ago.

"I know we both understand somehow." She knows she's incredibly lucky to have him, she wouldn't change a thing about their relationship. In the end, he's worth it.

"There's a life inside of me, that i can feel again." There were so many girls in the world he could've had, and he chose her.

It's the only thing that takes me , where I've never been, I don't care if i lost everything that i have known." She does love this song, it's a good one.

"It don't matter where i lay my head tonight, your arms feel like home, they feel like home." God, she just loved him so much.

"Hold on, you're home to me, there's a life inside of me." She was actually waiting for him to finish this song so she could just hug him and kiss him because she's missed being able to do that.

"That I can feel again, it's the only thing that takes me , where I've never been." There's a lot of things she's missed about him, actually. She's missed being able to play with his hair as he fell asleep, and vice versa.

"I don't care if I lost everything that I have known, ot don't matter where i lay my head tonight." She's glad her parents like him, because she's certain that she wants to be with him forever.

"Your arms feel like home, they feel like home." She's glad he feels like this. His arms feel like home to her too.

"Ross, I- I don't know what to say," she actually wipes a tear from her eye.

"You don't have to say anything, just come here," he opens his arms and she runs to him. She runs so fast you'd think she was being chased. They wrap their arms around each-other and bask in one another's scents.

"Laura," he says.

"Yeah?"

Just when she thinks he's going to say something romantic, he blurts out, "My name is written on the tag. This is my hoodie."

"I hate you," she laughs into his chest.

"You love me," he lifts his chin off her head to look at her, "can I kiss you?"

"Of course, you idiot," she smiles through the tears. So he wipes the tears away and does what he's been waiting so long to do.

Then the thought occurs to her, Jared. She still has to break up with him.
