Lance woke up the next morning with everything in a bit of haze. She rubbed the sleep away and was rather aware that she was not in her room and that there was a warm body pressed against her back and an arm around her waist. Lance looked over her shoulder with a sweet smile. It was still dark, meaning the day cycle hadn't started just yet, but she could still see him in the dark.

Rolling over Lance toyed with a few bits of Keith's bed hair. Keith grumbled in his sleep he buried his face into her hair. Gripping her waist tighter, his eyes blinked open. "Morning" Keith murmured, sleep still lacing his voice.

"Morning" Lance giggled snuggling in. Suddenly the lights flicked on and red started flashing. "Please, not another drill" Lance moaned. They bolted up right when they both felt the ship shake violently.

"It's not a drill" Keith growled. Lance stood bolting along with Keith and the other Paladins to suit up and get into their lions.

Once they had launched Allura piped up "We are greatly outnumbered here" Allura yelled down the line "We need to get away from them so they can't follow us through the worm hole."

"Do it away, if we can cut them off from the main ship we should be able to take out the few that follow, with our lions" Lance pointed out. Lance suddenly jumped when she realised what she had said. Lance froze a few of the fighters as she did.

"Lance that actually might work" Shiro answered

"It Minimises the damage to the castle, while getting away far enough that we can quickly repair any damage done compared to if we stayed longer" Pidge confirmed as she looked at the stats through her lion

"Takes out a few of their fighters too" Keith agreed as he took out a few more fighters

"I have no idea where that idea even came from but… I guess we're doing it" Lance shrugged

"Opening the worm hole now" Allura informed. All five of the lions retreated a few of the fighters following, the slower battle ship attempting to get close as well. The castle managed to get through with a handful fighters which the lions easily finished off.

Once they were all back in the castle Shiro patted her on the back when they all gathered in the hanger "Good thinking out there, Lance" Lance smiled weakly at him before walking over to her lion. Keith removed his helmet and watched as she did.

"Lance?" Keith called as she stared up at her lion. The lion crouched but didn't open to let Lance in and Lance rested her hand on the lion's nose. "Lance is everything okay?"

"Keith, I… I don't think I was the one that came up with the plan"

"What do you mean? Of course you did" Keith protested, confused. Lance shook her head

"No, it… it felt like it was fed to me. I think it was my Lion rather than me" Lance jumped a little when she heard the lion purr, but the lion told her I wasn't. "This is so confusing" Lance shook her head.

"Lance maybe you're just tired, why don't you go back to bed?" Keith urged. Lance nodded leaving her lion. Keith following alongside her. But lance couldn't make sense of it. She knew she had been fed the plan, but by who?

Lana "Lance" McClain

Later that day Lana and the other paladins were once again on a diplomatic trip to one of the planets they had come across. Lance was still on edge, she didn't realise how often the ideas were fed into her head, anything to do with fights or talking with the people of a new planet, she didn't realise how she had gotten her almost 'diplomatic' thoughts. She hated it. But now that she recognised it she could tell the thoughts apart at least.

Lance was looking out over the city they had just saved from the Galran influence when she felt a hand rest on her back. "Keith, I don't understand it" Lance whispered turning to look at the red paladin

"Well, if it bothers you that much why not get Coran to scan you? Make sure everything's alright and that it's not in your head" Keith offered

"You don't believe me" Lance stated unimpressed

"I do Lance, I really do, I mean we get fed thoughts from our lions, I can't imagine whatever it is could be different" Keith shrugged. "I'm just saying it might be a step in the right direction to figuring it out. Don't worry too much about it,"

Unaware that Hunk was watching his friend since she seemed a little off, Keith pressed a quick kiss to her head and headed off to find Shiro. As soon as he was gone, Hunk took his spot beside her with his eyes glowing. "You, Keith, since when" Hunk gushed. Lance jumped before laughing at her friend's behaviour. "C'mon Lance! Tell me! He's been after you for ages it was obvious. But I never heard or even saw a hint that you liked him!" Hunk gushed

"I'm just sneakier about it… wait how could you not know! Allura figured it out!" Lance protested.

"Well maybe it's because I haven't seen you together since we were on Tepra… Oh my god, you two have been dating since then haven't you!" Hunk's eyes gleamed.

"No Hunk" Lance shook her head "I started liking him around then… I think"

"So when did…?" Hunk asked

"You are no better than gossips, Hunk, or a really girly girl I can't tell" Lance commented. Hunk gave her pleading puppy dog eyes. Lance sighed and folded her arms "Yesterday"

"Who else knows?"

"Um, I think Shiro does, or at least suspects" Lance pondered "Maybe Allura if he's told her"

"Maybe I should give him the 'dad slash brother speech' you know, "Hurt her I hurt you" thing" Hunk thought out loud. Lance giggled at her friend

"Hunk don't you dear" Lance gasped through her laughs. Hunk looked to Keith who was across the room with Shiro who gave Hunk a thoughtful look and Hunk gave him the thumbs up. Lance turned to see where Hunk was looking and Keith quickly turned away.
