It's been a while since I posted a chapter, I know. But to make amends, I'll be posting a bunch of chapters as soon as I write them.

I'd like to thank Elisa, btw, for the shoutout. I wish good luck to any of you who take up the challenge she posted. I obviously can't for the story below.

Anyway, I present to you, Chapter 7: Vacation.

[U.S Digital Academy. 4:22 P.M. Headmaster's Office. 2 months after the defeat and sealing of Milleniummon]

"Finally, finished checking and restoring every file in the Academy Database."

The Headmaster sighed, a long job done. He lounged into his chair, thinking over the past few months. It had been utter chaos as all 16 Academies had been attacked. Not to mention the arrival of a second set of Digidestined.

Before he could think anymore, he remembered that he had yet to inform the Headmaster of the Japanese Branch of what he would only describe as the accomplishment of the century. With a typing on his keyboard, the request for a call was sent.

At this point, his partner, SlayerDramon, entered the room. By the way the digimon had slouched, the Headmaster could tell it had been in hard training. It had only been a week since the Dragon Knight had started training the Digidestined, and it had already shown improvement that could accumulate to several months of training for others. It was still not enough. Whatever challenge was approaching, it would take much more than months of training.

A loud beeping noise could be heard throughout the room.

With a look to the a monitor screen, the face of an old man and white knight appeared on the screen. The old man spoke clearly, like he was much younger than he was.

"Nicholas. What is the matter, calling me at this early hour?"

The younger Headmaster reprimanded himself in his head, as he remembered the time zone difference. With a quick thought, he had realized it was 5 in the morning over in Japan. Not wanting to look like a fool, he spoke up.

"I've finished checking all the files that were missing, and repaired the database's network connections. With a flick of a switch, all 16 Academies can be reconnected to the database. There is something much more frightening though. I've discovered more missing files, mainly dealing with locations and such. Maps, coordinates. They have everything they need to plan a full out assault on earth."

The Japanese Headmaster thought for a moment, and spoke again.

"We can't hold it off any longer. We need everyone together. All 16 Headmasters will meet. If they're planning to attack us, we must prepare first. It would also be a good time for the Elite and Digidestined to meet each other."

The old man smiled, as he imagined a meeting between the 40 plus active Elite Tamers. With a quick decision, he looked towards the screen.

"We will hold the meeting in Brazil. It is isolated enough that if the enemy attacks, we can defend with no risk of attack on cities. Also, the area given to the Branch's Academy there ensures that we won't have trouble having close to 50 Mega-Level Digimon there."

After a minute of typing, he had sent the message to Brazil's Headmaster.

Michael yawned, having just woken up from sleeping for most of the plane ride. Beside him, his partner, Mekanorimon, stretched its arms from being in the cramped plane. It had been a troublesome flight in the private aircraft, but they had arrived...to what he could only describe as the middle of nowhere. The young Digidestined had thought he would be arriving in a town like Rio de Janeiro. Instead, they had arrived on a small airstrip in the middle of the jungle.

A noise broke him from his thoughts. He turned, and saw his friends and fellow Digidestined leaving the plane, followed by the Headmaster. Michael chuckled at the single item the Headmaster was carrying. It was small green Digimon, who he had come to known as Babydmon. He then sighed as the small Digimon evolved into the massive SlayerDramon. All funny things must come to an end.

The Headmaster was followed by most of the staff, all holding or followed by In-Training or Rookie forms of their partners. He thought back to the Attendent, left behind to take care of the Academy and students. It may of been the start of Summer Vacation for the Academy, but the students left there still needed someone to keep them in check.

He heard a noise, and turned to the large forest that surrounded the Air strip. Out of nowhere, a large white lion-like beast leaped above the trees, and dived straight towards SlayerDramon. In an instant, the lion that could only be a Digimon had collided, claw on sword, with SlayerDramon. SlayerDramon simply laughed and spoke as the Lion Digimon backed off.

"Regulumon! Long time no see!"

Regulumon laughed, as Michael could finally get a good look at the massive Digimon. It was a bipedal lion digimon, covered in white fur, and wearing a cape on its back. It was wearing shorts, and had a sword on a belt around its waist. It also had armor covering half of its chest, and arm braces on either wrist. It spoke up with, surprisingly, an American accent, like English was its first language.

"SlayerDramon, still faster than any of us, likely enough. Good job, by the way, with that 'Pendragon's Flash.'"

The sarcasm in its voice was obvious. The 2 Digimon had spoken like old friends, and yet the rivalry between them was clearly evident as well. He heard footsteps, and saw a man in a suit walking forward. Just from a glance, Michael saw the card deck and Digivice on the man's belt. He spoke in what Michael thought was Japanese. It didn't make sense though, why would someone from Brazil speak Japanese?

More surprising to the young Digidestined, was that his own Headmaster was speaking back in the same fluent Japanese. What was going on?!

Cassidy's voice spoke up from behind him.

"The primary language for the Headmaster's is Japanese. Ya know, because the Main Branch is in Japan. All Elites are supposed to learn to speak it at least at some point, and the Headmaster's are supposed to be fluent. The Digimon, though, can speak whatever language they want. It's like they have a translator in their head. One second they can be speaking English, the next Russian, and the next Japanese, all without effort."

Both pairs met like good friends, though there was no doubt there was a Rivalry between them. After several minutes of what sounded like catching up on stories, SlayerDramon spoke up.

"So, Regulumon, how many of our cohorts have arrived?"

Regulumon gave out a haughty laugh, as he smiled.

"Well, to be honest...You're the last to arrive."

SlayerDramon stumbled back, in what looked like extreme surprise.

"You're...you're telling me that they're all..?"

"Yup. All of them."

At this point, the U.S Headmaster was fumbling his Digivice and a card. Michael felt a hand on his shoulder as Ms. Yokayama spoke to the young Digidestined.

"I'd back up if I were you. Your about to see the rivalry of the Headmaster's at work."

The Headmaster finally slid the card through and yelled out the command.

"Digital Ability: Aegis Shield! Connect!"

Michael could feel several large presences, as more Mega Level Digimon made themselves apparent. He could see a variety as they all emerged from the tree line. As the Aegis Shield appeared on his arm, SlayerDramon began sprinting into the jungle. The Digidestined looked to Ms. Yokayama, as she simply smiled.

"Remember the rule of "Most Powerful is the ruler?" SlayerDramon is currently the second in charge, directly under Dynasmon. The other Mega's affiliated with the Academies are about to hunt him down to try and challenge that right. It happens every time two Headmaster's meet. Their two partners duke it out to exhaustion to see who's better. They never kill each other, but it gets pretty interesting. Unlucky him though, he's going up against nearly all of the others today."

The Headmaster of the U.S Branch yelled out to nothing. The annoyed tense in his voice almost made Michael want to laugh.

"Come out. All of you. I know you're in the woods."

Person after person came through the edge of the jungle, and it looked like each of them were from a different part of the world. Most interesting, though, was an old man followed by a white, dragon-like knight digimon. Michael was looking at the Japanese Headmaster for the first time, and he could feel the presence of the duo.

Counting, Michael summed up 15 groups, 4 of which had their partners. He hadn't expected to see them all at once, but he was surrounded by the Headmasters of the Academies from around the world. A small pink Digimon flew from one of the Headmaster's side, straight towards the 3 Digidestined.

"You 3 are the United States Digidestined? Well I'll be, Nicholas is bloody lucky!"

It had spoken with a British accent, and Michael made note of the UK's Headmaster. The small pink angel-like digimon spoke again.

"My name is MarineAngemon, not to be confused with the Angemon Holy Digimon line. I'm nothing like them! If I wanted to, I could be declared strongest of the Headmaster Partners!"

Tentomon, who had been watching the events with Cassidy up to now, spoke up.

"She's not lieing. Her abilities are unmatched. It's called Kahuna Wave. It can do many things from what I've read, from damage a digimon, to make them lose their fighting spirit."

Tentomon continued, changing the subject.

"Anyway, MarineAngemon, how have the rankings changed before our arrival?"

"Let me put it this way. Everyone got stronger. No one's changed in comparison to others."

Tentomon buzzed as the Japanese Headmaster walked up to the group. He told something to his partner, and Dynasmon spoke up.

"I will translate everything my partner says."

After a couple of seconds of talking, Dynasmon spoke again.

"My partner is excited to see you 3, especially you, Cassidy Williams, as a second set of Digidestined. He has high hopes for your training, and is even more excited for you to meet with the Japanese Digidestined later today."

At this point, a large flash of lights could be seen in the distance, as the U.S Headmaster held up his Digivice and spoke.

"Good luck, dear friend. Digital Infusion: BrakeDramon ! Connect!"

In response, another Headmaster held up his own digivice, and spoke a card command.

"Digital Enhancement: X-Antibody. Connect!"

The Japanese Headmaster laughed, and after a few second of speaking, Dynasmon translated.

"He says he is excited to see Examon, the King of Dragon Digimon, spar against Ornismon, the King of Bird Digimon. I too, am excited to see the second and third strongest battle each other in such a way."

After a few seconds of large flashes of light, a large explosion was emitted in the distance. Apollomon, who had been with Ms. Yokayama, spoke up.

"As always, Examon won. I must say though, they've all gotten stronger. The Academies' Digimon are truly a force to behold. That is correct, Lord Dynasmon?"

Dynasmon responded in a prideful manner.

"That is to say, stronger than what? All Digimon are strong in their own right. Bigger, is not always better. Being more destructive is not always helpful. Even sincerity, kindness, and trust can be given too excessively."

Apollomon responded, in a somewhat fearful manner.

"We can defeat the 7 Demon Lords if needed...correct?"

Dynasmon instantly responded back.

"I'd like to believe so as well, Apollomon."

"Lord Dynasmon. Please. We CAN defeat them...right!?"

At this point, Dynasmon had started to spit out answers like an Lucky 8 Ball, never answering with a straight 'Yes' or 'No'.

Michael looked at Cassidy, and whispered.

"Who are the 7 Demon Lords?"

Cassidy whispered back.

"The Demon Lords were the most evil Digimon in existence. They were made up of Leviamon, Daemon, Belphemon, Barbamon, Laylamon, Lucemon, and Beelzemon. The last 2 are actually PARTNERED with some of the Japanese Digidestined!"

A voice spoke up, and scared all 3 American Digidestined.

"Hey, speak louder! It's not like we're not standing right here!"
