Hey guys. I'm sorry if this is a crappy chapter. This is being written at midnight-thirty, so I'm a little tired =). I hope you like it anyways.

Disclaimer: I don't own Maximum Ride. You don't own Maximum Ride.

Max POV

After a lovely breakfast by the sometimes-loved Iggy, we set out to find Ella. This was our 11thday searching and we still haven't found anything! It's ridiculous.

Our house is in the middle of a small town in Arizona, so we've mainly been looking in Arizona. We found one possible area yesterday, but we didn't get a chance to check it out, so that the first we're gonna do today.

Right now we're about 20 minutes away from the location.

We were just crossing over the Grand Canyon when Gazzy asked a question.

"What do you think there doing to her?"

"Dude!" Iggy exclaimed as he flicked him.

"Ow! Don't "Dude" me. It was a legitimate question. Like, are they just holding her hostage or putting wings on her like us?"

We all stayed quiet while that sank in. Then Nudge spoke up.

"If their still the same old School we all know, we gonna get a Ella with wings."

I nodded my head. Wait a minute! Same old School!

"I know where she is!" I exclaimed.

"What?" asked Iggy.

I turned to Nudge. "You're a genius Nudge!"

"I am?" she asked.

"Wait Max," started Dylan. "What do you mean you know where she is?"

"I know where the School is."

"Where!" asked the flock in unison.

"At the same School we were at! The one in Death Valley!"

"How do you know for sure?" asked Angel.

"I just have this feeling that it is. Trust me guys. Have a ever been wrong?"

"Well… there was that one time where-" started Iggy.

"Don't even think about finishing that sentence," I threatened.

"I guess it could be true," said Gazzy.

"But why would they keep it there if they knew that we knew where it was?" asked Angel. "That doesn't make sense."

"Unless they want us to find it," said Fang.

Oh crud.

As much I hated to admit it, he was right. I nodded my head.

"They're using Ella as bait to get us," I realized.

He nodded back.

"Does this mean we're not gonna go?" asked Nudge.

"Of course we're gonna go. We should go tomorrow though. We need to get prepared better. If this is a trap like we think it is, we need to be fully rested," I explained.

The flock nodded in agreement. Then we turned around and headed back to the house.

Finally! We actually accomplished something today! I feel so happy! Wait- Life is terrible right now! My boyfriend made out with my sister and then that sister was kidnapped! Ugghhh! I hate life!

Now I'm sad! I miss Fang! I miss Ella too!

Don't worry Maxie, you'll get them back soon, don't be sad, I reassured my self.

Ahhhhh… Now I'm happy again.

Unknown POV (same person)

"It's been 11 days! Eleven! You said that this girl was very close to Maximum, yet she still hasn't shown up!"

I sighed. He was right. I had expected for Maximum to show up a long time ago.

"I got that information from the clone. She said that Ella was Maximum's sister. She was the only non avian hybrid person close to Maximum."

"Well, we'll have to try harder."

"What do you mean by that, sir?" I asked.

"I mean we need better bait. You need to capture one of her precious flock."

"Excuse me? I think we should just wait a little longer. Maximum will eventually show up. She-"

"That's not enough!" he shouted. "The Boss is getting impatient. We have already waited a whole year before this company was strong enough to start planning. All we are doing is wasting valuable time."

I sighed. "Fine," I gave in. "I'll arrange the capture of a flock member."

"Thank you," he said. "Have a nice day Dr."

"You too," I said as he left my office.

I dialed the number of the man in charge of the Erasers.

"Hi. Yes. I need another favor. I need you to send your best group of Erasers to capture a flock member of Maximum. Which one? Ummmm…" I hadn't thought about that. Well, I did hear one of the flock was her boyfriend. What was it? Umm… Tooth? No, ummm… Fang!

"I need you to take Fang. He is the tan one with jet-black hair. Yes I guess he could be described as emo. I know, I know. He will be difficult to capture. That's why you need to send your best team in the entire program. Yes, send them tonight. We need Maximum as soon as possible. Okay. Thank you sir. Have a good day."

This bait won't fail. Maximum wont be able to sit at home while her beloved winged friend is here. She'd have to be insane.

Finally, it's my turn to do some good at this place.

It's my turn to shine.

Not even Maximum could possibly ruin this for me.

Fang POV

After Max discovered where the School was, we headed back home. It was about 10 when we left this morning, and then we got back to the house at noon.

When we got home, Iggy made us all sandwiches. Afterwards we all headed to our rooms.

I am now sitting on my bed slowly dying of boredom. I thought about going to talk to Max, but decided I didn't feel like getting hurt.

So instead, I went to talk to Iggy.

I walked in his room and found him listening to his IPod.

I pulled out the earplugs.

"Hey!" said Iggy.

"I need your opinion."

"About?" he asked.

"Max."

"I'm listening," he said.

"Should I go and apologize to her?"

"Well, lets see. You made out with Ella 11-" he said before I interrupted.

"I did not make out with Ella," I said.

"Okay then. New plan. Before you say anything to Max, you need to admit to yourself that you so did make out with Ella."

"But I didn't," I defended.

He raised an eyebrow.

I sighed. Fine, here goes. "I did… make out with Ella."

"Good," said Iggy. "Now to continue what I was saying before. You made out with Ella 11 days ago. So that means you should talk to Max 10 days ago."

"What?" I asked.

"You should have apologized to her right after it happened," he explained.

"When I went to talk to her, I found her asleep in bed with Dylan! I was a little angry at her."

"I doubt she meant to fall asleep with him. I mean, I think she hates him just as much Max does."

"If she hated him as much as I did, he would not still be in the flock."

"Okay, so she doesn't hate him as much as you do. That's doesn't mean that she's in love with him."

"Let's just stop talking about Dylan," I said.

"Fine by me."

I sighed. "Just tell me what to do about Max."

"Go. Go to talk to her now."

"Now?"

"Yes! Now go!"

"Fine," I said leaving his room.

I walked back to my room, but just as I was turning the doorknob, I heard a quiet thud.

I immediately did a 360 but saw nothing.

Whatever, I told myself as I walked in my room.

I sat down on my bed and decided to practice my apology to Max.

"Hey Max. Ummmm I just wanted to say that I am really truly sorry for kissing Ella. I don't really know what I was thinking. I just really want you to forgive me. Will you?" I sighed. I was just about to give up and go to the bathroom when I was scared out of my mind.

"It was a little corny, but I guess I can forgive you," said Max, popping out from under my desk.

"Shi-" I started, but then stopped myself. "Oh, umm hi Max," I said nervously.

She just chuckled. "But I do mean it. I forgive you."

For about one second relief filled my body.

After said second, I became angry.

"Wait why were you even in my room?" I asked.

"Umm, well I came to apologize for falling asleep with Dylan. When I came in, you weren't here, so I was about to leave, but then you started to come in, so…. I kinda hid," she explained.

"Oh," I said.

"Yeah."

We stood in silence for what seemed like forever.

"Well, I guess I forgive you too," I said.

"You do?" asked Max hopefully.

"Of course,' I said smiling.

I took the three steps separating us and hugged her. Then she looked up- leaving her lips completely vulnerable.

I think you can pretty much guess my next move…

Max POV

After Fang and I's perfect kiss, we headed down to watch TV, and this time we actually did watch TV.

We watched until around 8 when Iggy called us in for dinner. He had made his famous Caesar salad along with 10 rolls of garlic bread.

After that we all headed to our rooms to rest up for our trip to Death Valley tomorrow.

I was thinking about asking Fang wanted to sleep in his room together, but decided that it was too soon.

Instead, I laid in bed trying to fall asleep, but I couldn't. I sat up and walked over to the bathroom when I got a weird feeling. The feeling I was being watched. Weird.

Then instead of going to the bathroom, went down to Fang's room.

I walked in and found him sitting on his bed, not sleeping.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey," he replied.

I went and sat down next to him.

"Couldn't sleep?' he asked.

"Nope. You too?"

He nodded. "I have a weird feeling like that we're being watched."

"I know, me too. That's why I came in here."

He nodded. Then we heard a branch crack. We both stood up and ran to the window.

I looked out, but didn't see anything. Just trees and grass.

"There's nothing," I said. "Or nothing that I can see. And I have incredible night vision."

"Weird," he muttered.

We turned back and sat down again. Just then, we heard another branch crack and then a thud. Like, a loud thud. Not like a bird smashed into the house; like someone jumped on the house. Then we heard barely audible footsteps coming up the walls.

"Someone is climbing up the house," I whispered to Fang.

He nodded as we both quietly ran out of the room.

Once we were out in the hall, Fang spoke again.

"You get the girls. I'll get the guys," he guys. I nodded and ran toward Nudge and Angel's rooms. I got to Nudges first.

"Nudge," I said while shaking her. Nudge was the heaviest sleeper out of all of us, so it took a little more. I covered her mouth with my hand and then slapped her with the other one. Her eyes snapped open. I gave her the be quiet sign and removed my hand.

"Someone is coming," I whispered to us. " Go meet the guys on the other side of the hall, okay?" She nodded and got up and left the room.

When I got to Angel's room, she was already out of bed and almost to the door.

I gave her my 'how did you know I was coming?' look, which she responded by tapping her mind.

Oh. That's easy.

We both quietly ran out of the room and met the boys and Nudge at the end of the other hall.

"What do you think they're trying to do?" asked a sleepy Gazzy.

"Probably another kidnap," said Iggy.

I looked at Angel. "Angel, can you pick up anything?"

She closed her eyes and concentrated. After a couple seconds of silence, her eyes flew open. "Duck!" she yelled.

We all hit the floor just as the wall we were by exploded.

The whole flock jumped up immediately and 'flew' down the stairs.

"Head out the back door!" I yelled over all the noise.

Erasers were coming from everywhere. This is not like them, I thought. Why would they attack when they knew we were still awake? Unless they thought we would all be asleep… They were trying another kidnap!

We all made it out to the backyard. We could now see the Erasers climbing up our house.

We ran around the front where luckily, there were no Erasers.

"Okay, Gazzy, Angel, Iggy, and Nudge: You guys stay here fight off any Erasers here, or inside the house. Me, Fang, and Dylan will take most of the Erasers in the back. I'll call for you guys if we need help. Okay?"

They all nodded their heads. "Okay, lets do this!" I shouted. Then me, Fang, and Dylan headed to the back.

The second we turned the corner, things went from bad, to worse. I don't what possessed me to think that just the 3 of us could take on all of these. We were immediately surrounded.

So I started doing what I do best: Kicking ass!

Dove for the 4 to my right and in less than fifteen seconds they were down on the ground.

I looked at Fang and Dylan.

Fang was taking down just about 6 Erasers, and Dylan was doing just as well.

Except that Fang was starting to get ganged up on. Suddenly all the Erasers started surrounded him.

"BACK UP! NOW!" I called. I hope they could hear me over this.

"NOW PLEASE!" I called again.

Just as I saw the other 4 turn the corner to come back here, I heard Dylan yell.

"Max! They have Fang down!" he yelled.

"WHAT!" I exclaimed.

"Max! Dylan! DUCK!" cried Gazzy.

Me and Dylan dove to the ground just as Gazzy's monster explosion went off.

I could barely see the whole flock down on the ground. Except Fang.

I tried to push myself up, but couldn't. Ughh! My back!

"REPORT!" I shouted.

"Here," said Dylan shakily.

"Present," said Iggy, coughing.

"Me and Angel are right here," said Nudge.

"I'm here," said Gazzy quietly.

Then there was silence.

No Fang.

"FANG!" I yelled, but got no response.

All I could hear at the moment was the distant sound of sirens, and the heavy breathing of the rest of the flock.

That was the last thing I heard before I went unconscious.

Oh… my… god. My fingers hurt SO badly. I really hoped you liked it. It was kinda crappy at first, but I think it got really good at the end. It was really long, so I hope you enjoyed it. For chapter 8 I will need 7 reviews on this chapter. Please! I know I didn't just got through two hours of serious finger pain, just to have no one review my story. PLEASE REVIEW!
