A/N: I thought doing Jafar's pov would really detail a lot more between Hakuryuu and Jafar's relationship. I probably write him too passive but I like his adult personality more than his younger one. Anyhow, I hope it's still enjoyable for you all.

Surprise Attack in the Dark

The late evening breeze rustled the cotton of Hakuryuu's attire, cooling the skin underneath. The prince stood before the large dome like building, the center of all Sindria and the king's quarters. Its golden rooftop glimmered faintly as trails of rukh drifted past, it's white stone walls lit by the soft glow of lanterns giving it an inviting feel. This was the only place Hakuryuu had yet to see and gazing upon the palace doors he wondered over its interior. It wasn't a place he was meant to be but tonight was an exception.

Taking a deep breath, the prince focused on his plan. The new skill he had learned from Spartos was not indefinite. Even with time and practice it would only last a certain amount of time; therefore he had to make sure he entered and found his target before he was discovered. From prior counts he had exactly two minutes before the rukh collected around him once again.

He sighed softly into the warm air. He was mildly disappointed. What he hoped to find was something powerful; a skill that could turn the tides of battle but this was nothing more a situational skill, though he was not ungrateful for the chance to learn it.

Dispersing the rukh around himself, he began to blend into the night. Approaching the guardsman standing attentively at the entrance to Sinbad's palace he continued, strolling past as if meant to be there. Neither man seemed to notice his presence and with a slight smile he continued onward, walking into the palace's spacious entrance and down the center corridor. Smoke ticked at his nose as he made his way further in, the censers hanging above perfuming the air with a thick scent of spice and musk.

"...Who's there?" A sleep filled voice called out from the hallway the prince had just passed.

Stiffening in alarm, Hakuryuu paused. He had only reached sixty by count and was certain he had one more minute to go as far as he could. There was no way someone would have noticed. Turning slowly, the prince's blue eyes set upon bright scarlet. But those eyes were searching for a thing they hadn't noticed yet. He was still safe.

He watched as the Magi shuddered, his slender fingers rubbing along the bangle laden arms. The black rings below painted eyes marked the all too common sign of insomnia.

For a being so immersed in the world's magic, its absence was a like beacon. The silent calm in the center of chaotic chatter would naturally draw Judal's attention, but that didn't matter right now. Looking down the empty, carpeted corridor Hakuryuu pondered his escape before the Magi could notice.

"Hey..."

That obnoxious voice now laced with fear made him pause mid-step.

The prince could hardly remember the last time Judal was so openly afraid. It must have been back when they were children. When Judal, days after a ritual, would sneak into his room and refuse to leave. But now they were older and the days of cuddling beneath blankets to hide from the monsters were over.

There was no reason for Judal to act this way anymore and as time passed the crimson eyes only grew brighter, the rings shimmering with intense fear. What was it that Judal saw within the cold, empty air that surrounded him?

And then, like a black sun rising into the sky, the eyes shifted; returning them to lunacy. Thin lips parted into a wide grin.

"Idiot," Judal slapped his hand against the top of his head repeatedly. "You should have told me you were there!"

The dispersement was over. Hakuryuu could feel the rush of heat as the rukh gathered around his body once again. The sudden influx of sensation caught him off guard and instead of being annoyed at the magi's antics he could only shudder.

Noticing this, Judal rested an arm against his prince's shoulder. "I knew you'd miss me, crybaby."

"What are you doing here?" He glared as the Magi stirred in restlessness, finally laying his chin on his shoulder.

"As I'm special I get to sleep with the idiot king whenever I want to," Judal rolled his chin from side to side, talking like a spoiled princess. He was about to push him away when it occurred to him why Judal had been so terrified.

So absorbed was he in pursuing his own interests and training that it had entirely slipped his mind. The coldness he had just experienced felt similar to the priest's that Judal had come here to escape.

A wide breathy yawn blew against his ear, brining back to the present.

"Did you want to sleep with me to?" Slender fingers playfully twirled around the strands of midnight blue hair, Judal taking to doing whatever he pleased in his boredom.

"O-Of course I don't!" Even though he wanted to. But openly admitting this wasn't a good idea.

Unraveling the hair from around his finger, Judal watching the resulting curls bounce against Hakuryuu's cheek. "Whatever. I thought something was weird but it's just you."

"I am not the strange one here," annoyed, he pushed Judal's hands away from his hair, taking to smoothing over the magical imbued curls.

"Yeah, you are~"

"I am not the one fussing with men's hair out of boredom," which was a futile effort trying to undo.

"But you'll look cuter this way."

Hakuryuu glared darkly, moving away before Judal could find something else to mess with. Besides, he had been held up enough. He didn't want to miss his chance. Miss the revenge he had been planning.

"But you know..." Judal began, poking at the air around them. "Your rukh are acting weird again."

Before he could turn and walk away Judal faced him; eyes looking as though they could devour a man's soul. Entranced, they stared at one another. Then, with a pleased grin, Judal flicked a tongue against the rough scar on Hakuryuu's cheek.

"W-What do you think you're doing!?" Despite his protests, it felt nice. As if a warmth had been given to him.

"You're not supposed to mess with them, so I'm punishing you," drawing out his scepter and nearly knocking over a vase in the process Judal began sorting through his prince's rukh.

Only able to see the rukh of others, Hakuryuu watched as the richly decorated hallway lit up with the glow of golden light. The multitude of birds transformed into small multicolored globes that hovered and danced around before zooming down the corridors like a racetrack. He wasn't sure what to make of it but from the hyperactive movements and the whispering commands it was obvious Judal was playing more than fixing him.

Several moments passed and he found himself pressed up against the golden trimmed walls in fear of being pulverized. Seeming to have finished their task the balls of light flickered then dimmed, returning the corridor to its previous state.

"...What did you just do?" He raised an eyebrow. While trusting Judal with anything was a bad idea; trusting him with magic was - in most cases - a good idea. But with anything the Magi did, he could only hope it wasn't fatal.

Judal simply grinned, his red ringed eyes full of pride and satisfaction.

He swore that if the next words were that he had forgotten he would pin him to the wall with one of the many display pieces and leave him there.

"It was so~ weird that my rukh weren't with you, so I collected them," seeming full of energy again, Judal rocked back and forth on the balls on his feet. "Then I took your new ones and gave you mine again."

At the happy, chirpy reply he glanced over himself. Brilliant white rukh sparkled about him and he could only assume his own were doing the same. Judal was - and had been - safeguarding him and this notion was enough to dissolve any hatred and annoyance he had felt toward him.

Shifting forward, nearly pressing Judal into the wall, Hakuryuu made a move to kiss him but a rich voice interrupted, causing them both to draw away quickly.

"Are the two of you having a midnight stroll?" Rounding a corner Sinbad stood before them, dressed only in his earrings and a simple robe. "Would you mind if I joined you?"

Likely, Sinbad had noticed something and had gone to investigate, finding them here.

"No way, I'm talking to Hakuryuu now. Go away," Judal pushed harmlessly at the strong arms seeking to capture his bare waist.

"I was just leaving," Not wanting to waste anymore time, he turned to leave "If you'll excuse me..."

"Where are you going, Hakuryuu? I heard you've been looking forward to talking with me. I'm not busy at the moment," still being pushed at by Judal, Sinbad stood before the shorter teen, purposely blocking the path that led further in.

"I..." He paused. Normally Hakuryuu be delighted at the chance but it was getting late and lying about his purpose here wasn't something he wanted to do.

No matter how charming and convincing the king was, he really wanted to do what he set out to. "I-I'm sorry," grabbing Judal, he thrust him towards Sinbad's arms then took off running past them, leaving the Sindrian king stunned and a little confused.

"Ha~ that look on your face."

Sinbad glared toward the prince's back, bristling as the teen rounded a corner. He wasn't happy with the fact that someone had gotten away from him and made a move to follow but Judal's hand gripping his wrist stopped him.

"Hey, you're supposed to play with me not that crybaby. I want to go do something fun," Judal pulled at the king's arm, urging him like a child would.

While Sin could - and had - resisted the Magi up until now things had ultimately changed. Learning what he had, he was willing to do what it took to keep Judal within his country.

The scrubbing sound of a bath brush echoed in the quite room as its sole occupant quickly ran the object over his pale, wet skin. The steamy moisture of the room felt more like a wet blanket than anything relaxing, but the advisor took the matter of baths seriously; even if it meant putting up with things he disliked. Besides, the quicker he finished the quicker he could head to his room to rest for the next day.

So far, Jafar had only needed two all nighters to finish his work, freeing up time to take care of other tasks; this being one of them.

Tossing the brush down into a wooden bucket Jafar heaved another over his head, rinsing off the remaining soap. After shaking water from his hair he stepped into a pool of steamier water, leaning back to watch the darkening sky from the ceiling windows.

Tomorrow he'd begin the arduous task of talking to Sin into marriage. And like what usually happened during those times, end up screwing him over half the office furniture in his effort to avoid the matter.

How the advisor felt about that caught him somewhat by surprise. Generally, he enjoyed those moments, but ever since his encounter with the Prince of the Kou Empire he realized Sin lacked the thrill and enjoyment he sought from the act itself.

There was no questioning his loyalty or his feelings for the foolish drunkard of a king, but said King tended to be emotionally invested. While that wasn't entirely a bad quality it wasn't something Jafar could handle during their intimacy. He didn't mind the after sex cuddling or the occasional agreement to try out new things; it was the fact that Sin always needed to be in control. While he might consider it, he'd never agree to anything that would take that away. Nor would he be anything but the one playing top. Hakuryuu's willingness and lack of experience meant Jafar could easily feed into what he liked. Which was being a switch. Perhaps Hakuryuu was one himself.

That led him on to another issue. Sin always took his time. There was too much fooling around and that was reason enough to continue his encounters with Hakuryuu. Young and inexperienced meant just enough foreplay for quick releases. It was more than enough to get it out of his system and stay within his schedule.

There was also the irony of riding the prince of an enemy country on Sindria's war table.

The audible clack of the sliding door opening and closing caused Jafar to sit up. He turned to the expected sight of Sin, stripping off with a bottle in hand to drink but the Sindrian king this was not and through the steamy air stood a far more slender silhouette.

"If there is such a thing as god..." Jafar began, whispering under his breath. "Don't let it be that brat," he didn't think he'd be able to hold back his murderous tendencies around him.

Thick mist continued to rise from the bath, obscuring most of the room from sight. Jafar couldn't make out any other discerning features as he listened to the rustle of clothing being removed. The only other indication he had were a pair of luminous blue eyes, blazing like the light of a candles flame.

"Hakuryuu-san?" It was odd, but not unexpected if Sin had finally decided to speak to him. "What are you doing here?"

He received only the sound of feet hitting water as they steadily approached.

"I was about to get out," Jafar continued, eyes scanning the approaching flames and its misty silhouette. It was unlike the prince to remain so quiet.

Water erupted in waves as the figure stepped and Jafar felt a hand press against his chest. He shivered as the cold fingers played over his body. "Ha..." was all he managed to say before a set of lips claimed his. Demanding and slightly familiar he felt himself slip into a heavy, yielding moan from it.

The fingers were getting warmer as they continued to explore his chest; pinching against his nipples and eliciting another heated response. This half hidden assailant caught him completely by surprise and he almost felt victimized by it. He had to admit; it turned him on to feel the hands of someone who knew his body so well.

He had been so certain that the blue he saw were the eyes of a prince but now he doubted himself. These aggressive hands touching all the right places and the confident tongue exploring his skin didn't seem like Hakuryuu at all.

"I came to have my revenge," the voice, soft and serious, spoke near his ear.

Whatever had happened, heat delirium or his own exhaustion, Jafar could now see the prince grinding up against his body, panting softly as warm fingers stroked along his back.

"For all the times you've had me..." The prince continued, panting slightly. "I'll have you back."

"That's an interesting revenge," Jafar answered as fingers gripped his forearms, mindful of the wires lacing his wrists.

Back when they had first met, the advisor had figured Hakuryuu would become like the rest of his family. But after several conversations and how nice the prince looked gripping bedsheets, he was surprised by this sudden change. By this raw dominance he was now being subjected to.

"I've...read that having sex in water, while nice, isn't so easy," the prince paused in his administrations, which were currently pressing Jafar roughing against the side of the bath as if he'd take him that very moment.

"Were you learning how to seduce me, Hakuryuu-san?" Jafar watched as pink quickly colored the prince's cheeks.

"I...did say I wanted to pay you back. And I meant it seriously," Hakuryuu returned to biting against the smooth skin, hands keeping the advisor trapped where he was.

It almost felt like Hakuryuu knew he'd leave as soon as they were done, which was true. It was what they always did and what he preferred. There wasn't a need for him to stay, or a want to.

"What did you have in mind?"

As soon as Jafar had said it, he was being hauled up and out of the water, carried away by strong arms toward the back where several dressing benches sat. The prince wasted little time in getting the advisor into his lap and the gentle touches against his thighs made him slightly restless.

"I want to do things differently this time."

He raised an eyebrow as the prince explained how he wanted them to do it. Facing each other with his legs wrapped around Hakuryuu's back, his fingers gripping against muscled shoulders. This was something Sin had tried with him before, to encourage him to open up more. And just like he had with Sin, he made a move to get up but Hakuryuu pushed him back down. "Let's-"

"I won't ask," Hakuryuu interrupted.

Warm fingers began a soft caress against scarred thighs, drawing curiously over the half faded tick marks Jafar had carved into his body. It seemed the prince had misunderstood and seeing his nervous reaction assumed it was about his legs, not the intimate position they were in.

"But I do hope you'll consider telling me about it someday," slipping a hand between the slender thighs Hakuryuu stroked an index finger along the adviser's perineum, receiving a stifling cry as he pushed up against it.

Digging his nails into the back of Hakuryuu's shoulders, Jafar tried to calm himself. Mentally at least. His body was certainly enjoying all the teasing things Hakuryuu was doing to it.

Being so close and panting over the prince's shoulder was enough to make his heart race. In an entirely different, slightly panicky way. He didn't expect this to happen. Or that the prince would take this seriously and assume it was more than what it was.

Their often quick and casual encounters might have had an unintentional effect. Being given something only to have it taken away before you could enjoy it would make one desire it more. In fact, it was a huge cock tease to let Hakuryuu taste him, then pull away.

"I want to watch you while we do it," Hakuryuu explained, griping firmly at Jafar's chin and tilting it until their eyes met.

Strong emotion flared within those cerulean and azure eyes and Jafar could only blame himself for this. Just like Sin, it seemed that Hakuryuu had become emotionally invested in him. And that was very, very bad.

His own needy cry distracted his thoughts as a warm hand cupped against his cock, squeezing and thumbing at its head. With a louder gasp, he felt a finger insert itself into his entrance, probing and scissoring him in preparation.

It was a bit too late to protest things now. Not that he'd want to. But aside from the closeness Jafar did want to know how well Hakuryuu would do at being on top. Though, after this, he would decidedly remain busy for the remainder of the prince's stay.

Besides, what harm was there in completely enjoying and exhausting themselves this one final time?
