So, I would like reviews please! I'm a little lost and I'm just going where the wind takes me at the current moment. But anything helps. Thank you guys for the support! (You know who you are!) Sorry this one is so short!

The streets of New Vegas were relatively dark with pot holes dotting every step they took.

Boone grunted as he tripped in one of them. He stepped carefully after that and the Courier giggled softly, so that he wouldn't hear.

As they continued walking, a gunshot behind them caused them to stop. As they turned, another shot fired and the Courier gaped at a man who was now lowering his revolver.

"What?" She squeaked. Two men lay dead on the street.

"They were running at you with knives, usually not a good sign. Your body guard apparently didn't catch it." The man gave a courteous bow, the blonde faux hawk atop his head bouncing slightly. "Just consider it a welcome-to-town gift."

The Courier gaped.

"Usually it's polite to say 'hello', instead of staring."

She took a quick breath. "Thanks."

Boone was silent beside her.

"My name's Hadrian."

"I'm..." She began eagerly, a smile upon her face, but then she pursed her lips, realizing she didn't have a name to share. "Well, just call me Courier."

"You're not that one from the news, are you?" His eyebrows rose. Both of them were pierced.

She simply shrugged. "Would you believe me if I told you I was?" She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms, a grin spreading over her face.

"I guess I wouldn't really know, now would I?" He offered her a similar grin and she felt a blush creep up on her face.

"Uhm," She tried thinking of conversation, but she couldn't. "I guess I'll see you around?"

He nodded, an odd look in his eyes. "Meet me at the Wrangler tomorrow."

She nodded eagerly and waved goodbye.

She and Boone walked away with Boone completely silent.

After a while, she bit her lip and tried to create a distraction. "So is this type of behavior from locals common?" She asked Boone.

He shrugged. "Desperate times."

The Courier bit her lip, still unsure of herself. The silence dragged on.

"You sure it's okay to meet that guy tomorrow when you don't even know him?" Boone blurted.

She shrugged. "He seems nice. And he did save us."

He snorted. "Nice as in, he'll rob you blind when you don't pay attention? Or he only wants in your pants? You really can't trust people just like that."

She looked at the ground, giving a single shrug without saying anything else.

After a while she spoke again. "Uhm, well here's the strip." She recognized the robots that looked exactly like Victor, the robot that had saved her in Good Springs.

Boone nodded when she snuck a glance at him.

"Here we go." She strode up to the bot and handed it the passport she had Ralph make. The man who had tipped her off about the credit check sat on a bench not too far away.

"Welcome," boomed the securitron. "To New Vegas!" It immediately wheeled itself back to its position and continued scanning the area.

She pushed the gates open. They seemed easier to open than most doors in New Vegas, as if all the hopes of everyone had an effect on the hinges. It's probably just from use, she thought self consciously. She stepped forward, Boone right behind her.

Once inside, the Courier gaped at all the lights. She turned her head at everything, taking in the amazing sights. Each casino had its own unique flare and the Courier found herself grinning like a giddy child. She glanced over at Boone and saw him watching her. Shrugging her shoulders, she toned down her grin, covering her teeth to not look like an idiot.

"I don't think I've been here ever," she announced. "Even before I got shot," she added with a smirk.

Boone held a strange look on his face.

"Let's go." She combed her hand through her hair and began to push her way past the crowds of people.
