The After-Game

The dawn is nearing and everyone is sleeping. They had so much fun and drink that some of them is sleeping on the banquet area. The darkness still envelopes the sky but the orange haired girl can't sleep with her cloudy feelings.
.
With a worried look on her face she walked around the garden area where she saw Renji with the girls earlier. Her felt a sudden pain in her chest but not the serious pain, it's like the pain when she always saw Ichigo and Rukia together. She looked at the moon and admire the serene and now quiet garden. Smiling at the thought of maybe she's being jealous about Renji with other girls. 'What am I thinking? I still love Kurosaki-kun and I know it would not going disappear fast.' Remembering her lingering feelings, tears about to fall again.

Suddenly a pair of hands covered her shoulders with a hakama.
"Hey its cold out here" Renji said with a sad smile on his face when he saw Orihime's teary eyes.
"Thank you Renji-kun" Orihime said and their eyes locked. For a moment it seems like an eternal void and the world revolves around the two of them. For a moment they became aware of each other.
"I thought we're done crying?" Renji asked worried.
"Why is it that when I'm crying you're always here?" Orihime asked back as she wipe the forming tears in her eyes.
"Hey I am such a bother? And I thought we're in this together?" Renji said as he smiles.

"Together in what?" Orihime asked shyly and her cheeks felt hot for a moment.
"Together… in moving on. We both know that the blow this made is hard to heal. I thought I've moved on since they both announced that they're going to get married but you know…" Renji stopped and took a deep breath.
"Yeah… I thought so too but at the ceremony I can't get out the thought of it should be me.." Orihime said and her eyes swelled up again with tears.
"Exactly…" Renji agreed. He saw the tears in Orihime's face and wiped it. Renji hugged Orihime as she cries. "You know let's both move on from now okay? For real this time." Renji said and embraces her longer unit she stopped crying.
"Renji-kun thank you for everything and always being here with me" Orihime said smiling and hugged him back.

Both of them walked around the sleeping Seireitei without the malice of being an item but being friends that care for each other. As they walk some guards greeted them and they continued to talk and share some stories.

The dawn peeked at both of them while laughing and smiling. The new morning is being shared by them together with a smile on their face.

"What if let's just go out with each other?" the red haired man suddenly asked the orange haired girl wearing a petrified expression.
