Please read and review! I appreciate the feedback. Gracias...

Haven's investigative "Troubles" team waited in Jennifer's room and those which couldn't fit sat in the waiting area. hoping and praying for a miracle. When suddenly the attending doctor approached Audrey.

"Detective Parker I need a word with you in private." he said urgently approaching her as she sat in a chair in Jennifer's hospital room.

"Okay." she replied casually getting up to talk to him privately in the hallway.

Duke and Nathan gave her questioning looks and she responded to them silently by shrugging her shoulders and raising her eyebrows.

"Detective Parker I have good news for you and your friend Jennifer. You are an exact blood type match to her. We can begin treatment right away." he finished.

"Wow, that's great news." she responded enthusiastically "But wait, what are the chances, that I would be a match? " she asked

"They definitely are 1 in a ... uh, uh ,uh..." Dr. Carson said as he stumbled with the statistics. "I'm not sure to be honest with you the actual stats." he admitted truthfully. "But the fact remains you're a match and Jennifer will soon be on her way to a full recovery. I have other patients to check in on but I will be back later to check on Jennifer's progress. A nurse and a patient care technician will be in shortly to setup the procedure ." he concluded.

"Thank you doctor." replied Audrey

"Thank yourself." he said gently "I'm just doing my job. I think you all should go home and get some rest now that it's certain Ms. Mason will be okay. " and with that Dr. Carson was off to make his rounds.

Audrey entered the room with a smile on her face and with two pairs of suspicious eyes on her.

"Guys..." she began "Jennifer is going to be just fine, I'm a match! " she said happily

"What?" asked Duke and Nathan in unison both in disbelief.

"How is that possible? " inquired Duke in a slight state of shock .

"I don't know" replied Audrey "I'm just as shocked as the two of you and the doctor has no explanation for me either. "

"I can't believe things are going to work out so easily and quickly." said Duke rising from his chair to give Audrey a hug.

"Same here..." said Nathan in a whisper who was quietly leaning against the room's wall. The wheels in his head already begun turning. "I'm going to tell the others in the waiting room. And then I think we should all head home and get some rest. Are you coming Audrey? " he asked.

"Yeah, I'll meet you in a minuet out there. I just need to speak with Duke for a second." Audrey said simply and with that Nathan went to share the incredibly good news.

"Duke I'm going to go soon and you should too; get some proper rest. " she said softly but firmly.

"I can't leave yet, not until I know that the transfusion is a success. " he said easily

"Alright " said Audrey taking a deep breath in "Call me if you need anything or if something important pops up." she finished

"Will do." he replied and watched as she walk out the room and towards the waiting area to meet Nathan and the others.

As Nathan drove himself and Audrey back to her apartment above the Grey Gull he kept wondering how it was that Audrey and Jennifer were a perfect match.

The couple arrived at Parker's second floor apartment and headed straight to the bathroom for a quick shower and teeth brushing.

They then went directly to bed for a good night's rest forgoing any meals. The two settled comfortably in Audrey's antique style wrought iron bed in their usual position of Nathan's arms wrapped around Audrey and her head placed lightly on his chest with her arms enveloping his torso.

Just as Wuornos was about to drift off into sleep Audrey broke through with her words "What has had you so preoccupied? What's going on in that head of yours?"

"Nothing important Parker, let's just get some much-needed rest. " he answered.

"Na-than" she responded in a sing-song pattern rising slightly from him to look in his eyes "I can tell something is up. What is it? Is it about Jennifer? I'm not going to drop it until open up to me. " she concluded

"Fine!" he answered a bit upset, giving up the battle and nudging her gently off of him so that they could both sit up in bed. "It just struck me as highly unusual that both you and Jennifer would have such a rare, unique blood type."

"Yes, it is a bit weird. But it is Haven after all and things like this happen all the time." she said knowingly

"Yes, but I feel as though their may be a greater connection between you two. Because she was the only one who had a link to you in the alternate dimension."

"A greater connection? Like what?" she questioned.

"I'm not entirely sure but she may be biologically related. Like a sister or cousin."

And then a scarier possible dawned on her and her eyes became wide with the realization.

Nathan couldn't see her face clearly in the dark but he could sense her change in body language and felt her stiffen "Audrey; what's the matter?" Nathan asked wrapping his arms around her trying to comfort her and make her feel safe.

"What if Jennifer is our daughter from some past tryst between you and a previous incarnation of myself that we aren't aware of, like James? Or even just my daughter with someone else from a past life? Do we approach her with our suspicion? Do we do a secret DNA test on her?" Audrey fired off each question in rapid succession due to the nervous feeling building up and causing her to have a sinking feel.

Now it was his turn to freeze up, he didn't like the possibility that Parker could have a child with another person even if was before his lifetime or he was just a kid and she was a completely different person. However he quickly dashed the thought from his head and caught himself and focused on Audrey.

She was too freaked out by her own thoughts to notice the brief shift in his body language and Nathan had quickly returned to normal. ''Whoa! Relax Audrey." Nathan responded by running his hands up and down her arms trying to calm her "We'll cross that bridge together if it ever gets that far." he finished.

"How can it not go further now that I have all these theories racing though my head?" she questioned

"Whatever the truth is, this is Haven; it's bound to come out." Nathan replied. "So, let's just take a few calming breaths, relax, and drift off into a restful sleep." he finished which was obviously easier said than done, but they had to try, it had been a very long day.

He slowly reclined himself from the upright position to a flat one and gently brought Parker down with him; to lay on her comfortable mattress in their original state when they first started their descent into sleep. They tried to fall into a slumber to, which they eventually did after some time had passed.
