Ok guys, sorry for the long break, but I've been stressing all week and just wanted to watch anime and read manga to get away from the world. (High school's a pain in the ass).

Also, when I was writting this, it didn't really feel like it was a part of the main story. But it's still an important event, sort of like the 'three month' training Natsu, Gray, Levy, ect. had at the beach before the GMGs. So, for the next three chapters (including this one) they are all going to sort of feel like this. Nothing particularly wxciting happening (like fights and stuff), but more of a 'Fairy Tail and Bleach meet' kind of feel. Do you guys understand what I'm saying, or am I just crazy-well-crazier than usual? Just me? Welp, it's not the first time, and It definitely won't be the last.

Anyway, I hope this chapter makes up for the long wait! w

It was now three days before the Grand Magic Games, and the Fairy Tail guild had just arrived in Crocus. It was amazing, really, how most of the guild had gotten there already, though, a good portion was still missing. (The Thunder Legion Laxus were cramming in some extra training and were to arrive the next day).

Right now, Lucy, Happy, Gray, and Erza were walking the flowered filled streets. It is the anniversary of the GMG, and a large festival is going to take place during the whole week the GMG are going to take place.

"Wow, everything is so lively and beautiful!"

"You're right Lucy, the festival is going to be amazing when it starts."

Erza and Lucy were talking about the festival and ended up going off on their own, Leaving Gray and Happy alone with each other's company. While Gray was looking around for something to do, Happy, perched on his shoulder, looking equally put out and bored.

"I miss Natsu, it's not fun without him."

"Yeah, I hate to admit it, but at least with the stupid Flamebrain I have something to do."

Happy then got a thought that made his face light up, "maybe Natsu will smell all of the delicious food here, and decide to come! Or maybe he's already here, and it's all just an elaborate game of hide and seek!"

Gray looked at the blue cat on his shoulder, "not to spoil your mood Happy, but I don't think that's going to happen."

Happy started pouting again, until he almost fell off of Gray's shoulder when said mage ran into someone.

"Ah, my apologies, I guess I was so lost in thought I did not see you there."

The voice was gentle, and had a grandfatherly tone to it. Like Gramps when he is introducing some new members to the guild, or when he is calming down a distressed person.

"Ah, no it was my fault. I should have been looking at where I was going. Sorry mister..."

Gray looked up at the man, and nearly openly gaped. The guy had long silver white hair, pale skin, and wearing a black robe, with a white coat overtop of it. He had two blades at his side, katana probably, and had eyes that looked older than Gramps looked. Which was strange to say the least, since the guy looked to young.

"Ukitake, Jushiro Ukitake, and you are?"

"Gray Fullbuster, and the cat's Happy."

"Aye!"

The man, Ukitake, had looked a little astonished seeing Happy fly and talk, but then settled in a smile.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance," he then paused and looked around, when his eyes settled on a small cafe just a little ways away, he smiled, "how about I treat you to lunch, as an apology for running into you."

"N-No, that's not necessary. It was my fault, really."

Gray really didn't want to take up this man's time. He seemed like a really nice and genuine guy, and he probably had some business here in Crocus, so Gray would feel kinda bad if he made the guy late.

"Nonsense, I insist. Besides, I would like to get to know you better. It's not everyday you find someone who would randomly strip in the middle of a populated area."

Gray looked down, only to find that he lost his shirt, "ah, goddamit. Not again!"

The man was laughing a little, and covered his mouth so he didn't seem like he was making fun of Gray. More like he was laughing at the situation the boy was in.

The man then took out Gray's shirt from a pocket, and handed it to him, "I found it on the ground as we were talking. I wasn't sure if you took it off on purpose or not, so I picked it up to return it to you. Though it is quite amusing how you seem to unconsciously do it."

Gray took the shirt gratefully, and put it back on, "yeah, well, always training with it off, it becomes an unconscious habit."

"Well then, why don't we discuss this over lunch?"

Gray sighed, "alright, but I'm paying for for half of the bill."

Ukitake smiled, "alright then."

They walked to the cafe and sat down. When the waiter came over, they ordered and started their conversation. Happy sitting on the table between the two.

"So, now that we are here, I wanted to ask about the mark on your chest. I saw it when you had lost your shirt."

Happy and Gray looked at him perplexed, "you don't know of Fairy Tail?"

"Fairy tale? As in the stories."

"N-No, as in the wizard guild. Fairy Tail is the number one guild in Fiore. We beat the tops wizarding guilds in the last GMG to earn that title."

Ukitake eye's widened a little, "well, that is quite the feat. You must have strong allies."

"Yeah, some of our strongest members defeated a wizard saint, so we've faced stronger opponents."

"Wizard Saint, well it must be an honor to hold that title."

"Yeah, our guild master is a wizard saint himself. He managed to take down another wizard saint with only one move."

Ukitake smiled at the boy's obvious fondness for his guild master, "from the way you speak, he sounds like a great man."

"Oh, Gramps is the best! He took us all in when we all had no where to go and gave us a family! He even puts up with all the destruction we cause!"

Ukitake laughed at the cat's enthusiasm. If he had that kind of a heart he must be a great man indeed. Maybe he and Ukitake could could have a talk over tea some time.

"So what about you, what guild are you apart of?"

Ukitake was beought back from his musings at Gray's question, "how do you know I am apart of a guild?"

Gray seemed to get a bit flustered at that, "I-I had seen the skull mark on your wrist when you handed me my shirt. I-I guess I assumed it was a guild mark."

Ukitake smiled and waved his hand in dismissal, "it's alright. I had assumed you saw it, but I didn't want to say anything in case you got the wrong impression of me. To answer you question, I am part of a guild. It's called 'Misfits'. I guess you could say it's similar to Fairy Tail. We are like family to one another, even if some of our members are reluctant to show it. We all come from different backgrounds, but unite under a common cause to protect those who cannot protect themselves."

"Wow, that's amazing. Though I've never heard of Misfits before."

"We only recently became a legal guild. Though we were not a dark guild before, we were just never registered until a few days ago."

Ukitake saw the look in his and his cat friend's eyes when he said that they just recently registered. He had done his homework (as all of the captains and lieutenants did) and learned about legal/light guilds and dark guilds. So he and the others had agreed on the cover up that they were apart of an independent guild, before registering to the council. And it seemed to work well.

"Oh, that's good, I thought you guys were a dark guild!"

"Happy!"

Ukitake laughed, "It's alright, many people have made that assumption. Some of our members are a little, aggressive and brash, and that kind of puts a damper on our reputation."

It was Gray's turn to laugh at that, "yeah, I understand what you mean. Fairy Tail doesn't have the best reputation, we're known for our destructive ways, but the council doesn't really hound of us much because we are the number one guild in Fiore."

Ukitake and Gray laughed, while Happy was muching on a fish he had from his little knapsack. When the food came, Gray and Ukitake continued to converse with one another, and to Hray, it felt nice to have a conversation with someone. (He didn't even strip the whole time they were talking, crazy right?)

Gray found thay he enjoyed talking with the man. He had a sorta gentle grandfatherly vibe, unlike Gramps, who was the crazy yet serious when he needs to be grandfather. When he talked Gray felt calm, and protected.

Ukitake also found that he enjoyed talking with the boy. He was very lively, and passionate about his guild, and sounded proud whenever he spoke of it or his guild mates. He was a nice boy, and Ukitake had a nice time conversing with him. His feline companion was also an enjoyment to have around, as his enthusiasm and happiness seemed to be contagious.

It wasn't until the sky started to shift colors, did Gray notice how long he had been talking for, "shoot, what time is it?"

"I believe it is around 7 in the afternoon. My, it seems we have been talking for quite a while."

"Yeah, Happy and I should get back to our hotel. We only have two more days till the games start."

"Yes, I should be heading back as well. I hope you do well in the games Mister Fullbuster."

Gray waved his hand, "please, call me Gray."

Ukitake then smiled, "alright, then call me Jushiro."

Gray smiled and nodded, then started to pack his stuff, and turned to Happy, "C'mon Happy, we better start heading back," he then turned to Ukitake and gave a small wave, "later, Jushiro."

Ukitake smiled and started his way back to the home base. He remembered Natsu talking about a certain ice mage with a stripper habit, but his description seemed far off from what Gray had seemed to him. He will have to ask Natsu if he had the right person, or if there is another person named Gray, with a stripper habit.

Okay! A chapter done. Now, as I stated before, there are going to be two more chapters like this, and I want them both to be atleast one Fairy Tail, and one Bleach character meeting together (in a non-hostile situation). I already have an Idea for who to do in the next chapter, but for the third one, idk who to choose, so, I'm doing a vote.
