Disclaimer : I do not own any characters but my OC
(If i did i'd have Gokudera and the others to myself hehehe...)
Shocker! There's another Vongola Boss?! The Varia?!
"The family that wants their hands on you, is The Roujoiel Famigila", Reborn informed all of us. We were a little stiff. The name didn't sound familiar to me, but for some reason I had a strange vibe that somehow it did.
"I haven't heard any families going by that name at all," Tsuna's body stiffened like a stick as he informed the baby. Reborn's seriousness wouldn't change and he stood there with Leon sitting on his Fedora, reading a mysterious paper with scribbles on it. By the little smudges and leak of ink from the back, it looked fresh. That printing looked oddly familiar...
"Reborn knows the millions of mafia families Tsuna. He is a claimed hitman after all. So why is your voice doubtful?" I asked. By hyper intuition, we both probably knew Reborn didn't know this family, but I wasn't quite sure.
"But Vio, Reborn can't know EVERYTHING", Tsuna scratched his head trying to figure out something that clearly looked like it was bugging the crap out of him.
"Actually for once, Tsuna's right Violet. The Roujoiel Family and its history as well as its existence had been oblivious to any other Family since Primo's time. They recently had made an alliance with another family not too long ago and their information leaked. That's how Dino found out who was tracking you." Reborn's eyes didn't look up to us rather than examine the paper in front of him.
"So, the bronco took the information. But how did he link that family to Violet?" Gokudera contemplated.
"The current boss' name was a dead give away."
'Wait, the scuba freaks said Silver-sama right?' I thought remembering.
"The boss is Silver Roujoiel, tenth generation. The same as Tsuna."
We all looked at Reborn, even more serious than before.
"So does that mean I have to go into hiding now?" I sighed depressed that I would have to be on lock down back at home.
"That won't be necessary. For precautions, the Varia will be coming for assistance."
"EH?!" Yamamoto, Gokudera, Tsuna and I cried out loud in extreme surprise. And how EXTREME that was. Too bad Ryohei wasn't here to express that and clarify.
"The Varia is coming to Japan?!" Tsuna exclaimed in complete shock that his face didn't know another way to react other than look pale white and scared.
"You didn't have to go to a real bad length for safety Reborn!" I snapped in utter disbelief.
"Shut up, both of you. It wasn't my idea but the Ninth's."
Tsuna's panic attack had spread to me, as I felt a bit lightheaded. Even if I wasn't here when Tsuna-tachi had gone through the ring battles, I have actually met the members of the Vongola assassination squad.
Xanxus was a rare rumor in my streets back at Italy. It was a Vongola block after all, so you talk and you're in trouble.
Squalo was always spotted by my violet eyes buying loads of pounds of meat, bread and wine at the shop I used to shop at in 6th grade. I would be behind him all the time, and he would just snarl at me while I just looked confused. Whatever I did to him so he could do that to me, I really don't regret it since I didn't do anything.
Lussuria was the only one I had a clear look at since he was popular among the area.
Mammon aka Viper was an arcobaleno so I'd guess everyone who knew about the Trinisette would know about the strongest babies in the world. I also snuck in a science lab and stole a secret file about a 7-3 policy. Don't worry, I returned it right after.
Unfortuately, Belphagor, that knife killer, was one of my childhood 'friends' back in Italy.
I know, it's such a shock.
It wasn't really a healthy friendship relationship like the ones I have with Tsuna and the others, it was more like a twisted little one.
One time, I tried to throw him off a cliff and out a window for stealing my snacks.
Whatever, the point is, Varia was deadly, and I didn't want to lose my head with them.
"Wow! I can actually see Squalo after a long time!" Yamamoto grinned, his features showing happiness that the person with a shark like personality was coming.
"Xanxus is coming too…" Tsuna rubbed his head, his hands shaking.
"That knife bastard too", Gokudera growled and pierced an intense glare at the floor who luckily had no feelings in return to cry. I thought he'd be over losing that ring battle to Bel a long time ago.
"And, since they are arriving two days prior to the safety of Violet and everyone, we're heading back to Namimori. Your classes will commence once you arrive due to a committee issue having Hibari return soon so everything is set. If all of you are going out today, be on your backs." Reborn had popped an espresso out of thin air and started to sip it with no worries at all.
"It's really hard to take this seriously with you drinking that coffee with no worries at all!" Tsuna's face crossed.
"Ma, ma Tsuna. We can't help it" Yamamoto nodded towards Reborn and smiled.
"Juudaime!" Gokudera called.
"-sigh- Can't be helped Tsuna. Ignore Reborn right now. Lets go play baseball…although you suck", I patted my cousin's shoulder and we all left, to go get dressed and play until midday to head out to the mall.
/././././././././././././././././././././.
Gokudera was rubbing his back while my dame cousin was rubbing his head out of pain from the game we had earlier at the beach as we were walking around the mall with everyone.
"Baseball freak! How could we lose to you! Also, why'd you hit me multiple times on the back with the ball Vio?!" Gokudera demanded, clearly pissed off again.
Well, I can tell you that Yamamoto and I won, but Gokudera and Tsuna had been unlucky because every swing we had, it would land on either Tsuna's head, or Gokudera's back.
Gokudera's was purposely done though.
"Because you kept wanting to cheat moron", I answered simply.
"Sorry 'bout that Tsuna. The ball kept hitting you too huh?", Yamamoto apologized.
"Vio-nee!", Lambo called my name and jumped to pull my sweater's sleeve.
"Lambo?"
"Vio-nee! Can you get Lambo-san a grape fruit candy box?"
"Ahoshi! Why are you bu—" I pushed Gokudera's body hard to the side and turned to the child in cow prints.
"Until we eat some food Lambo. After we're done shopping and looking around, I'll buy sweets for everyone okay?"
"Promise?"
"Heh, cross my heart", I marked an x near my heart.
Seems like it made the little child happy because he soon went to Aunt Nana, Futa and I-pin telling him his 'onee-chan' was getting him a big bag full of juicy candy just for him.
"He'll give you an empty wallet that's for sure", Tsuna sighed and I shrugged my shoulders.
"Violet-chan!" I turned my back and saw Kyoko and Haru pointing at a clothing store. "Lets check it out!"
The boys then told me they were going to check out another store so then I left to explore with Kyoko and Haru.
I picked a few jeans, shirts and sweaters and left the dresses and skirts to the girls. As we were about to check out, a big mountain of clothes and fabric replaced where Haru was standing. I sweat dropped at the sight.
"H-Haru, isn't that a bit too much already?", I picked up my bag from the counter and stepped aside with Kyoko while Haru dumped the clothes in front of her.
"Oh, this isn't for me. It's for my cosplay design club back at school. We need the material to make new outfits and they were on sale too so…"
I nodded in understanding at the cosplay girl.
We then headed out and met Aunt Nana and the kids at the tables and looked around to see if the guys were back.
"Where are the guys?" I asked Kyoko suddenly.
"Tsuna-kun, Yamamoto-kun and Gokudera-kun? They're at a store nearby", Kyoko sat down on a chair.
"So Violet-chan, I overheard your talk with Tsuna-san-tachi this morning. What's this about you and Gokudera-san going on a date?", Haru had asked and gave me a goofy look.
"What? This is news! Haru-chan!", Kyoko chirped up giggling and I grew a bit of an exasperated yet stunned look.
"H-Hah? Haru you heard VERY wrong. I'm not going on a date!"
"Do you like Gokudera-san?", Haru's face got closer to mine pressing me for information that didn't exist.
"H-Haru! Eto… Um…"
I had to find a distraction quick otherwise Haru would take my silence as a yes. Was this an interrogation or something?!
I caught a glimpse of brown spikes and matching caramel eyes and I dropped my bags, rushing over by jumping on my cousin's back. I could say I nearly dropped him because he almost tripped forward but thankfully my shoes prevented that.
"Oh, hey Vio", Tsuna smiled at me and looked over to Yamamoto who had his hand plastered to his mouth for some reason.
"You guys okay?", I asked dumbfounded. I looked to the storm guardian and got the surprise that he was blushing; hard.
"J-Juudaime! Please don't tease me!", Gokudera stuttered. It caught my attention that for the first time ever, Tsuna was actually teasing his right hand man!
"S-Sorry Gokudera-kun, I just can't help it. To think you could have done that. I didn't know you had a side like that", Tsuna stifled his laugh.
I then saw Yamamoto in the back that was trying so hard not to let his mouth go. His face was red with restraint. I just observed and waited for it.
Yamamoto totally failed and bursted out laughing.
"W-What are you laughing at baseball nut?"
"G-Gokudera, you really do have a side like that…hahaha...!" Yamamoto laughed his heart out until a little cold glare made him stop quick.
I just sighed and turned my feet around to walk to the food court where the kids, and Aunt Nana were waiting for their order. Bianchi had gone to go get her order while having Reborn under her wings.
Hah, now there's something I could use to blackmail Reborn when bugging Tsuna and I but knowing him and his reading minds technique, I did not dare to do so. He was already torturous as is.
The guys had ordered as well as I, and we sat down a table near Nana so we wouldn't be separated. I looked around everywhere in the town's mall to spot anything up normal and thankfully everything was calm.
"Ne, Gokudera-kun", Tsuna started to play with his hands that were sprawled on the table, and Gokudera looked at his beloved Juudaime. "I'm sorry I teased you earlier. Its just, it's the first time I've seen you look so kind and suggest something so nice", Tsuna rubbed a finger on his face and apologized.
"No Juudaime! Its alright, please don't worry!", Gokudera assured.
"Yeah, I'm sorry too Gokudera. We were really surprised though", Yamamoto laughed.
"Tch, apology not accepted", Gokudera snapped at the baseball player.
I sighed. This guy always transferred one mood to another, seriously. If I were Yamamoto for just 2 minutes I would've banged Gokudera with a saucer pan on the head so hard he'd be dreaming about giant turtles and a bunch of Uri's.
Its that bad of an urge.
"Oh c'mon don't be like that Gokudera", Yamamoto's lively smile reflected. Knowing the bomber, I knew something like this couldn't make forgiveness budge out of Gokudera other than react violently. Like me? Nah, I do that to him purposely.
"Serves you right baseball nut", Gokudera muttered.
"Okay, he forgives you Yamamoto. Now you, shut up before I lose my last nerve with you", I snarled at the bitter boy sitting in front of Yamamoto, and gave him a light kick with my shoe under the table.
"Ite! Don't have to kick me either!", he barked, returning the pain to my shin and I winced.
"That's the only way to get your goddamn attention you little—", I was about to take off on Tsuna's storm guardian when my arm was blocked by a big black box the size of a laptop Tsuna was holding while Yamamoto pulled Gokudera back to his chair and went back to sit.
"Cut it out you two. Vio look at this! We got this as a surprise present for everyone while you went shopping with Haru and Kyoko-chan", Tsuna laughed a bit nervously and handed it to me to open. My anger long forgotten was replaced with curiosity and I looked at the guys. When I opened it, at first I thought it was a joke, but once I lifted one out, it was certain that it was real.
Inside the box Tsuna had shown me, were 9 objects (including one for Chrome) in different colors. There were two bronze keychains, three bronze bracelets, 2 silver kinds and the last 2 gold. They were in a solid design with the different colored flame elements. In the middle of each, a certain colored gem would be bigger than the rest, obviously representing which bracelet belonged to whom.
"Guys… What is this…?" my eyes never left the box.
"We decided to make something else just like the Vongola rings, only to represent our friendship. It's like a charm with all of us in it. Its not the best, but we did put effort into having it made", Tsuna explained.
"Wow! It's so beautiful!", my eyes sparkled at the radiance the colors threw back.
"I know you won't believe it, but it was Gokudera's idea to get these made for all of us a long time ago,"Yamamoto glanced at the silver haired boy who had his arms crossed over his chest making himself look like he didn't care.
Tsuna picked up one of the gold bracelets that had a orange gem in the middle.
"We made it for each of us to wear. Each middle jewel tells which one of the bracelets goes with whom. Hibari-san's, Mukuro's and Chrome's bracelets are in bronze. Gokudera-kun and Yamamoto are silver. You and I have the gold ones. Onii-san's and Lambo's are a bronze keychain since… you know what could happen", Tsuna explained as he imagined how Lambo could be careless about these things.
"How much did this cost you?" was the first thing I managed to ask as I saw my twin cousin rub his neck, hesitant to actually tell me.
"Well… err…"
"A couple hundred, no biggie!", Yamamoto finished for an agreeing Tsuna nodding his head.
"I-It wasn't so much..."
"Baka-tachi, it cost a lot didn't it?"
Both nodded sheepishly.
I sighed and wondered who was skillful enough to make this bracelet. It's structure looked complicated and I somehow felt a power come from them.
"Do you know who built this?" I asked my cousin and rain guardian friend.
Yamamoto and Tsuna shook their heads.
"The man that we asked to create the bracelets had asked the owner to do them. We didn't see the owner since the store clerk said he didn't like showing his face to any of his customers," Yamamoto explained.
"I see..."
"Didn't Giotto do something like this with his guardians?", I asked Tsuna. He just shrugged. Primo had Talbot those years ago to create the Vongola rings, maybe he had made these bracelets.
"Its PRIMO woman. Don't go calling a boss by his or her name!", Gokudera snapped at me as if I had just committed a crime. Hey, G called Primo 'Giotto' so maybe the octopus head should learn to call his boss his given name once in a while.
"We engraved each guardian's with a phrase too. It's in the interior of the bracelet", Yamamoto grabbed his bracelet with the blue gem in the middle. I decided to look at each engraving before the first column to the right, I lifted Ryohei's keychain.
'Just like the sun, so warming bright. Friendship and emotion, sparkling in a fighting light.' It read near the gem.
I smiled and put it back in the box disappointed Ryohei was still back at the shore doing more rounds.
I wanted to see Yamamoto's so he handed me his.
'Refreshing and calm just like the sea or rain, a friendship of tranquility bringing endless cheer and stopping pain.'
This was so like Yamamoto. He was our calming wave when in our distress or problem, always cheering us up the way he always did when we needed it the most. I handed it back and focused on the other sliver bracelet in the box.
Gokudera's.
Ha, I'm looking forward to what it says.
'In times of trouble, a wind of a raging storm. A precious loyalty of friendship forever to hold.'
I stared at Gokudera intently and felt my grip on his bracelet tighten. Gokudera had his stubborn, hot headed exploding reckless moments but he was someone you could depend on. He was immensely loyal to his friends, whether they irritated him to the core of his boiling volcano. I put the sliver one back and went to the next; Lambo's.
'Thunder and Lightning resound together. Always in front to protect others, we'll be there together with you 'til the end.'
This one didn't rhyme. Of course Lambo wouldn't understand what it meant until he was older, but he would just love how the keychain sparkled. He will enjoy rubbing it in front of Futa's and I-pin's faces of what he earned. More like freeloaded as he's always done. He's lucky to have been chosen for the family. I also heard from Reborn what the Bovino's had said about being it an honor that Lambo was chosen to be apart of the Vongola Family.
These mafia people take high status waaay too seriously…
Mukuro's and Chrome's were next to each other matching.
'Truth hides in lies, mist is unrevealing besides all. Deceiving in battle, thy the one standing tall.'
I let out an exasperated sigh. Who knew quotes could sound as cocky like the person it's directed to. (Excuse me Chrome, but I meant Mukuro.)
Their element was to create something from nothing and nothing from something; thus to bewilder the enemy to render the family's true form intangible with visions of deceit.
Well, that's how his job was inscribed and by the looks of it, he was doing a pretty good job trying his best to deceit by possession and seduction.
I really wonder how Chrome could see through that.
I picked up Hibari's.
'The lone cloud floating as it pleases and likes. The person who depends on himself, to help others without a try.'
Oh yeah, depends on himself.
Always.
"I really need to stop criticizing the bracelet's engravings…", I sighed aloud. I picked up Tsuna's next.
'The blue sky, big and immensely wide. Wielding a golden heart in friendship and love for everyone in sight.'
Tsuna was the one and only who understood everyone as much as he could. He has a gentle heart, so its not surprising he does have a heart of gold for getting along with used to be enemies (Mukuro, ahem.).
"Who actually came up with these words?", I questioned looking around. I was starving the heck out already. I was getting bothered at the fact that my order had not arrived. It was probably just my cranky side talking but still, food has its time to come to the consumer and it certainly did not take past 15 minutes to cook noodles.
"Eh, I guess we all did", Tsuna laughed. I picked up the 2nd gold bracelet that was meant for me and read the engraving out loud.
' On the big blue sky, not seen in day but visible at night. Cherishing a love in friendship and family, dwelling a radiant heart shimmering like the stars in the sky.'
I decided to put it on before I started criticizing. I think I didn't catch myself smiling so sincerely that it caused the boys to blush.
"Its… really nice. Something that bonds all of us together. Although some of the lines on the engravings are cheesy in a way, I'll cherish it. The same way you guys do."
"What do you mean your engraving was 'cheesy'?! We put all our feelings into it!", Gokudera snapped at my honest comment, his green eyes piercing my face. What was up with him.
'Uy, so touchy today!'
"And by putting our feelings into it, he meant himself', Yamamoto elbowed Gokudera and winked.
"Gokudera-kun had added more details since we were having a little trouble with yours. It surprised us. Another reason why we teased him", Tsuna, who had also latched his bracelet on as well tried to seal his lips shut but found himself laughing.
"J-Juudaime!" Gokudera pouted. I did a double take. He just what?!
"Tsuna! Calm down or everyone will start staring over here! O-Oi, Yamamoto not you too!"
"Datte! Gokudera's face was so funny! You should've been there Vio, hahahahaha!" Yamamoto joined the wild ruckus of laughter and finally my food had arrived with everyone else's.
"Vio-chan, Tsu-kun! We'll only be around for a hour longer and we'll head back okay?" Aunt Nana advised our table from a distance.
"Hai Aunt Nana!", I replied loud enough so she could hear behind all the laughter. I caught a glimpse of Lambo going left and right stuffing his mouth with takoyaki and eggrolls while some spilled here and there. I-pin and Futa only tried to cope with the cow child as much as they could.
Tsuna and Yamamoto ended their cheerful fest and my attention then focused on the still blushing storm guardian.
"Ne, Gokudera. Stop blushing already and eat or your food will get cold. If you're not hungry I can always call Lambo…", I threatened playfully.
"Like hell I would let that stupid cow eat my food!", he replied suddenly and began to eat what he had ordered.
"Eh, G-Gokudera-kun!", Tsuna began.
"Its hot! Abunai!", Yamamoto warned.
"Hot! Hot!"
I sweat dropped lightly. I couldn't help but grin again.
Tsuna had given Gokudera iced water to chill him down.
"Arigato, Juudaime! I shall repay you with whatever help you need!"
"H-Hah? Gokudera-kun, I just gave you water!" Tsuna sweat dropped lightly.
"Well its thanks to you I'm okay now!" I would've been a goner if it wasn't for you, Juudaime."
"A goner for just burning your tongue? Youre such a kid", I rolled my eyes as I said thanks to my soup with noodles and began to eat with my chopsticks.
"What was that ahjo onna?! How dare you call me a kid! I should blow you away from here!", he yelled back.
"Ma ma Gokudera, Violet. Lets just enjoy eating", Yamamoto waved his hands at both of us as I tried to keep eating without exploding some of the hot liquid to the bomber's face.
"You two act like a rebellious married couple" Reborn suddenly popped his appearance in front of us at an empty chair I had no idea was there, Bianchi beside him; with her goggles on.
Oh how I wished she had them off for those 5 seconds of that time.
I spit my soup the same time the sliver head spit his water as we stared at each in an irritating manner.
"Me? Married to him? Ha, never in my life. Who would want to marry someone ready to blow with every comment directed? He's like a steaming train about to wreck from its trail!", I laughed it off and kept eating.
"Same here! You think I want a stupid woman like her with no sex appeal whatsoever, much less having no sort of quality like a mafia woman? No, not EVER Reborn-san", he retorted. "She's just a stupid woman, a minority compared to wonderful Juudaime!"
My eyebrow twitched in annoyance as I slurped my last end of a noodle silently and splashed a cup of water to his face. Hard. And I didn't regret it one bit.
"WHO SAYS I HAVE NO SEX APPEAL, OR MUCH LESS TO BE QUALIFIED TO BE A MAFIA WOMAN STUPIDERA?! AND I'M A MINORITY?! I SHOULD RUN YOU OVER WITH A FUCKING ROLLER!"
"WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM! I SHOULD BURN DOWN A PLANE AND LET IT SQUASH YOU FLAT!" He splashed me back with a glass of ice tea.
"Vio! Gokudera-kun!", Tsuna tried to calm us down.
"Ma ma, lets all just take a breather!", Yamamoto failed to chill us down.
"I really hate you, you know that?" I growled angrily, and grabbed another drink.
"Same here you brainless guardian!" He yelled back grabbing a cup full of liquid too.
I returned back to the villa that night soaking wet with the bomber from throwing so many drinks at each other. It's a good thing I didn't get sick, or he would've been deep down in the dirt that day.
~Two days later~
Not a great barely made it again. We were already in school thank goodness, or I would've have been outside right at the instant saving my cousins butt from being whipped by the prefect.
I sighed in my homeroom seat in exhaustion as Gokudera and Yamamoto turned to gaze at me curiously concerned. My brunette cousin who's desk was in front of my own didn't bother to look back since he was dozing off. My hair was a mess, and I probably had the worst black bags under my eyes that there was no doubt I resembled an old lady who had watched too much harem anime in a whole day.
"Vio, why do you look like an old hag?', Gokudera lifted a strand of my brown long hair and dropped it as if it was a tissue a very sick person had sneezed onto.
"You look so worn out!", Yamamoto's amber eyes got closer to my violet orbs that were distracted at the fact that I wanted to go to sleep. I got irritated at Gokudera's comment and I started to kick Tsuna's chair in front.
"Oi, Tsuna! This is not how I wanted to start my morning! Why the hell did Lambo keep making noise last night! Mou, get up you lazy butt!"
"Na I hear you! Stop kicking my chair Reborn!" he turned and I had to keep my already messed up hair from sticking up even more.
His spiked gravity defying brown hair was also messed up and his caramel eyes had even worse black bags under them. I had to rub my own tired eyes to make sure I wasn't just seeing things. Maybe I didn't notice how he looked since we just rushed out of home and came straight here.
"Yikes! Tsuna, are you okay?!" I exclaimed with Yamamoto as Tsuna held his head drowsily.
"Oh it was you Vio? ", Tsuna yawned. "Sorry I couldn't sleep last night because Lambo kept kicking me out of bed for late night snacks. Plus, Reborn made me stay up all night to study for today's biology quiz."
Gokudera was about to respond an insult about Lambo when I shot him a glare that made him swallow it.
"You stayed up because of Lambo too?" I asked, darkness coming from my voice.
Tsuna nodded at my question as I gently sighed as much as possible. A certain someone could've given Lambo some 'energizer' for him to keep us both up last night.
"Reborn!"
"Sawada-tachi! Sawada!"
I jumped up from my sleep and glanced at the classroom's door to see Ryohei in front. My chair instantly fell backwards with me.
"Oi, Sawada! Wake up! Um ...Kyoko's missing to the extreme!" Ryohei shook Tsuna's shoulder and the boy tumbled back also with his chair and woke up in pain.
"Ite..te…te, O-Onii-san! Where's Kyoko-chan?!"
Ryohei smiled. I rubbed my pained head angrily.
"I had to find an excuse to wake both of you up to the extreme! Its already lunch break! Why are you two lying down like logs?" Ryohei put his bandaged fists on his waist and waited for us to get up from the floor. "Besides! Its time to gain energy and then lose it to school to the extreme!"
My mouth twitched. Tsuna sighed. Well, I burned up my energy in all my classes while Tsuna did by just running away from a certain prefect.
"Ryohei, we didn't have much sleep last night" I yawned. My face felt so much better and just to make sure I looked over to Tsuna.
"Oh yeah I heard from Octopus Head & Yamamoto. Sawada! I'll help you gain energy by having lunch downstairs!"
Ryohei hooked his arm around my cousin and pulled him to the door but stopped to glance at me. "Youre coming?"
"Ah I'll catch up with you guys. I have to go somewhere for a bit."
" Okay then, don't take lo—ong! Onii-san!" And with an ear piercing HIEE, Tsuna disappeared with Ryohei. I sighed. I needed a little fresh air right now. Why not head over to the roof?
I walked up some stairs, and opened the roof's door to find a fresh breeze and a clear blue sky.
Sometimes it was good to get away from it all. Before I had time to enjoy peace, I heard the sound of footsteps behind me. Well, I think I forgot that a certain someone hung out here every single day.
"The herbivore's alone today" Hibari commented as I turned from the rail.
"Oh, its you. So what if I'm alone?" I replied.
"You're crowd is below."
"I know it is. I just wanted to enjoy some alone time here. You should know about some solitude time right?"
"…Hn. Just don't disturb my nap."
I sighed. "Why would I… never mind."
I sat down on the ground and sprawled my legs out when I suddenly felt the certain prefect's head lye down on top of them.
"H-Hey! Who said you could take a nap on my legs?!"
"Shut up. I can do whatever I please."
The bell to the next class rung.
Crap, if I didn't get out of this situation I would miss class, and Violet did not miss class for anything.
I wasn't the favorite student of science class for nothing but just thinking it through, Gokudera was my lab partner and I needed a break from all the arguing.
You'd never know what it felt like to pop a vein every 5 minutes just trying to follow directions to the teacher while some other idiot tried to do it his own way.
Did I tell you he almost blew up the class by almost mixing in gunpowder and some other substance by accident? Apparently a student started to irritate him and one of his dynamite sticks was going to slip from his pocket into the beaker when I caught it just in time. I almost got a migraine that day.
"Um, Hibari? C-Class is about to start" I said nervously. He made himself more comfortable. I blushed lightly due to his innocent look he reflected and we all know the prefect isn't innocent.
"What about it?"
"Aren't you going to get mad at me if I don't show up to class? That's the whole point of your job right?" I pointed out but by the deadly glare he was giving me I decided to seal my lips shut. He sat right up and looked at me.
It was an awkward warm state, not cold like his usual self. Once I noticed they went right back to emotionless and dark.
"I do what I please. Do not think I'm giving you the liberty to feel comfortable by breaking rules. You may stay here with me. I'm feeling tired," Hibari yawned right after.
I sighed. Skipping class once wouldn't hurt right?
I smiled and lyed my body down under the clouds on the roof. I placed my hands behind my head. Soon I found Hibari laying his own head on my stomach, looking at me while yawning widely. I didn't complain since I know what that led to and I had no motivation to fight right now.
"If you wake me, I'll bite you", he said.
"You forgot to add, 'to death'," I added.
"I'll make an exception today. I need you alive."
I sighed again. I found my waist being treated like a pillow but I didn't mind.
I made my own exception. I never went o lunch with the others or the next class after and instead I went to the one after. My science teacher saw me in the hallway with the guys and asked why I has missed. I brushed them off.
And on the way home, I received so many questions but I decided not to reply to any. I was in my own world, wondering why the prefect had acted so tolerant and gentle towards me that day.
( I love time skips)
~2 days later~
Not Violet's Point of View
"Tsuna! Hurry up! We're late!", Violet yelled.
"What about Gokudera-kun and Yamamoto?"
"They're already at school waiting for us inside!", Violet forced herself to speak at the next Vongola boss without trampling him with her feet while running.
"This is all Reborn! Wasn't he supposed to wake you up with the CPR thing today?"
"Ahaha, actually it was supposed to be three kicks to the face…"
The Sawada cousins had run late that day because they had surprisingly overslept due to the events that had occurred the previous day. They were on their way to deliver some lunch to their friend and companion Chrome Dokuro that afternoon when they had been chased by a wild forest bear, then had to train with their Spartan-like tutor right after. Now thanks to Reborn, Tsuna now knew that Violet had kissed Mukuro and Hibari, but adding it was one sided.
Picking up their pace, they had finally made it to their class in time for roll call.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi!", the teacher called out without noticing they had come in and went to their seats as quick as lightning.
"P-P-Pre…sent!" Tsuna managed to say.
"Sawada Violet!"
"H-H-Here!" Violet tried to catch her breathe as well.
Gokudera and Yamamoto sighed in relief to see that the two had made it punctually on time.
"Juudaime! As expected from someone so fast as you! You must've passed every obstacle in your sight!" Gokudera praised.
"Actually, I had almost fallen off the stairs Gokudera-kun…", Tsuna admitted a bit shamed.
"You praise him too much Gokudera", Violet roamed around her bag, feeling the bombers hard glare on her. Like she cared.
"And what's wrong with me praising Juudaime?"
"I never said it was wrong. I just don't want him gaining useless confidence that will fade away quickly and cause him to result in him failing. You should try to limit your praises a little."
Again as if it was his job, Yamamoto tried to calm the silver head from starting yet another argument with Violet.
"Classes are about to start Gokudera", Yamamoto warned. "If you blow, you'll cause Sensei to send you out."
"Like I give a damn Yamamoto. I'm only here because Juudaime's wonderful personality expects highly of me as his right hand m—Ow! Did you have to do that?!" Gokudera cried bitterly.
Violet's fist had been high in the air before it clamped onto Gokudera's head to stop him from yet again complimenting her cousin.
"One more compliment and I'll throw you out the window", she snapped.
"I don't think Hibari-san will like that" Tsuna interjected.
Violet scoffed. She didn't really care about the prefect coming but she had to look out for Tsuna. Besides, she didn't want to deal with the prefect today.
"Then I'll pin you to the wall with my pencil", Violet grabbed the utensil and pointed it towards Gokudera's collar.
Tsuna sighed exasperated. "V-Vio don't go that far either. Gokudera-kun, if its alright, will you listen for today?"
Gokudera bit his lip. "If Juudaime says so…"
"Well then class!", the teacher chirped up from the door, coming inside his class."Today we have a pop quiz!"
Groans.
Cue the rivalry between Gokudera and Violet.
Later that day: -Sawada Residence-
"Reborn! Has the Varia already arrived?", Tsuna was busy going over papers with Violet in the kitchen. Apparently he had so many papers wasted in his room that he needed to check and recycle each over. It had been his Home Ec teacher's form of homework. Renovation.
"Oh yeah that's right! Weren't they supposed to be here when we came back from the beach?", Violet organized a stack of papers that had different numbers on each test corner.
14, 25,... 67?
That was an improvement.
"It'd be a good time right now since Aunt Nana went shopping."
Violet offered her company some tea and started to get the kettle ready when the hyper intuitions kicked in and a cloud of white soon surrounded the kitchen.
"Ushishi~ Took you by surprise didn't we?"
"My, Bel. You shouldn't have pranked them like that. Be a little gentler."
"Yare, Yare what a troublesome prince."
"Boss are you alright?"
"Shut up Levi."
"VOI! Vongola brats! Are you even home?!"
The white smoke subsided to reveal Violet and Tsuna on the floor pale sheet white with terror.
Reborn sighed at the scene internally. At least the two cousins shared something in common.
Once Violet and Tsuna calmed down, they walked to the living room to see the company they had. It took a while for a reaction.
"YOU FREAKING IDIOTS! HAVE SOME EDUCATION AND LEARN TO COME INSIDE A HOUSE NORMALLY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!", Violet roared. She eyed the bodies near the open veranda with Reborn and Tsuna.
"Stupid Varia, trying to get entrance attention..."
"Oh. She snapped.", Bel the prodigy of the squad smiled his wide tooth grin and laughed at his childhood friend's reaction. He had gotten his tiara polished for this occasion.
"Nice to see you too,Vi," he greeted with his infamous shishishi.
"Che. Stuff it Bel", she growled glaring. "Oi, Squalo. Are you getting inside or not?"
"VOI! Don't speak to me in that tone, weak trash. We're here for what the ninth had called us in for. We're also here to deliver a god darn piece of paper for you", Squalo took out an envelope with the Vongola crest as a seal from his Varia uniform coat.
"Oh my~ Vi-chan! You've turned so adorable!", Lussuria came frolicking to the young girl and grabbed her long wavy straight brown hair, twirling it with his gloved hands. "You've grown from the last time I saw you! You really are adorable! Now you can call me Big Sister Lussuria!"
"Erm… nice to see you, Lussuria", Violet grinned weakly at the man with multicolored hair as he brushed her hair with his fingers.
'I don't really think I'll call you that' she thought sweat dropping.
"Oi, scum. Hurry the hell up. I don't have your time", Xanxus stood in the veranda without looking at anyone, urging everyone to hurry up. He might as well burn down the scums' home while he was at it.
Reborn was standing next to Tsuna while sipping his unspilled tea, quietly observing.
"Ushishi, adorable? The princess is more that adorable. She is my doll " Belphagor ran one of his sliver knives on one of Violet's creamy colored cheek.
"How should I break you? Carve you? After not telling me you were this Vongola brat's cousin…"
"Calm your shit down fake prince, I didn't tell you cuz it's my personal information. Hey Squalo, can you get out now and just give me Nono's letter. All of you are pissing me the fuck off."
"Tsk Tsk, don't curse so much Vi-chan", Lussuria said waving his finger as a no no.
"VOI! Vongola brat! Why are you so frickin' quiet!" Squalo waved his hands all over Tsuna's face.
"I-I really have nothing to say…" Tsuna stuttered scared from Squalo's high voice and tried to put on a brave front.
Squalo looked at the other Sawada cousin irritantly. "Che, you have the nerve to talk to me like that. You haven't change since you were a tiny brat." He waved the letter.
"Here. Starting tomorrow we'll start protecting the darn Vongola bosses & their guardians" Squalo handed Tsuna the envelope and flinched when Mammon had appeared suddenly.
"Oi, you added a plural to boss. There's only one" Reborn's black beaded eyes stared at the Varia expecting an explanation of the error.
"Its best if you let them read the letter before we let out any leaked info. Lussuria, Bel. Lets go", Mammon exited through the veranda from the living room.
Lussuria disappointedly let Violet's hair go and promised to take her around Italy's shops soon. Bel ran his knife down Violet's legs since she had on night shorts and cut a slight mark on her right knee, cackling at her angry face and exited out the veranda.
Squalo just glanced at the two Vongola cousins and scoffed off outside, mumbling something about stupid successors and their pitiful good qualities. Levi left downfallen yet again that his boss had ignored him. Xanxus stood there staring at the two brunettes with that murderous glint of his and turned smirking wide. Soon there was no company left in the house other that Violet, Tsuna and Reborn.
"What was that all about?" Tsuna stared at the veranda in the living room still holding Vongola Nono's letter addressed to them.
"Never mind that! Open up the letter!", Violet ordered. Tsuna obeyed and as he did so Reborn had jumped up to Violet's shoulder to read the arrived letter as well.
"Hmm lets see… Huh?"
Dear Vongola 10th & Star guardian; I hope the assassination squad did not wreck any havoc around your home when they delivered this message. This is important information that I would only like to share with you both, Sawada Tsunayoshi and Amare Violet. As you both know, Tsunayoshi is to be the only Vongola X after confirming it in the Inheritance ceremony. Violet, you have also been chosen as the 8th guardian since that incident happened. You were also a candidate to become the Vongola Decimo as well, but circumstances had changed and your cousin was chosen. Now, for beneficial factors I have decided to split Tsunayoshi's inheritance in half, and hand it over to you. You, Violet Amare Sawada, will now be known as Vongola Mitada. It may seem sudden to the both of you but please understand soon that Tsunayoshi will need all the help he can get, and from you as well Star Guardian. I hope you both will cooperate and confirm your roles. I would like to tell you more, but I need my precious grandchildren to personally come to Italy to discuss further details. Reborn, I leave tu in charge to tutor your new student and I will still look forward to your daily reports and letters.
Best Wishes, Timoteo, Vongola IX.

"..."
"EHHHHHHHH?!", Violet and Tsuna bellowed all over the house in disbelief.
"I-I'm a… I'M A VONGOLA BOSS NOW?! Also, Vongola Nono is my GRANDFATHER?! My dad never told me anything about this!", Violet instantly started to panic like her dame of a cousin. "What the heck! Reborn did you know anything about this?!"
"This surprises me as much as it surprises you two," Reborn confirmed the sky flame on top of the letter. It was real. This letter was not a fraud but the real thing.
"Can't be helped. Be ready for harsh training with your official tutor, Violet", Reborn smirked.
"I think I'm going to pass out" Violet's head felt woozy and was about to collapse when Tsuna had caught her just in time from fainting in the middle of the kitchen and living room.
"Vio, keep it together! You cant faint at this time! Its barely 5! Who goes to bed at five?" Tsuna tried to get a grip on his cousin and sat her down near one of the chairs of the kitchen and gave her her tea to which she swallowed in one gulp.
"Juudaime!"
Tsuna turned to find his storm guardian at the entrance of the kitchen panting and standing to his knees.
"Gokudera-kun? What's wrong? How'd you get in?"
"I saw white smoke coming from your house while I was busy reading a book at home so I came to check and see if you were okay" Gokudera managed to speak a whole sentence before making his way inside the kitchen.
"We're alright. Varia came in not too long ago."
"The Varia?! What were they here for?!"
"Er.. to deliver us a letter and inform us that they start tomorrow to protect Violet and us," Tsuna watched his cousin carefully to make sure she was still awake. 'Even I knew we were related to Vongola Ninth. She's very slow...'
"Che, this woman, causing Juudaime trouble. Oi, Vio, you need to get stronger."
No reaction. Gokudera blinked.
Gokudera gazed at the girl sitting who was out in a trance. "Juudaime, is she okay?", he asked.
"Actually…" Tsuna hesitated to hand Gokudera the letter but he did so anyways. He was going to find out anyways right?
"A letter from the Ninth! What could this be?" Gokudera opened the letter with the sky Deathperation flame. The bomber nearly fell off his feet.
"..."
"WHAT?! V-Vio's…. Vio's THE VONGOLA BOSS TOO?!"
Violet reacted again and her head fell motionless on the table. She had fainted.
"And she collapsed. Guess she couldn't take the information in", Reborn hopped onto the table and flicked Violet's forehead twice but got no reaction. "That's how you know both of you are related, Dame-Tsuna."
"Juudaime, so this means that you share the inheritance of being Vongola 10th?"
"I-I guess, Nono decided to split it up as its convenient to the family- R-Reborn! Don't stack books on her head!", Tsuna watched as his tutor placed a stack of 4 books onto the head of his cousin, and about to stack two more.
"She's out cold", Tsuna sweat dropped.
'Do I have to start respecting Vio and start calling her Juuhime?! Wait, what the hell are you thinking?! There's only one Juudaime! Like hell I would respect her!', Gokudera smacked himself internally and shuddered at the awkward thought of calling this stupid woman with respect.
As the arcobaleno watched the storm guardian and sky boss try to wake up the star guardian, he frowned. This was going to bad.
'Violet, you have no idea what importance you have now', Reborn thought seriously looking at his new student soon to be boss.
'This could be a problem. Now that family has another reason to capture you'.
Meanwhile a certain boy who owned mysterious eyes watched from aloof in a roof of the scene, phone in hand.
'Have you spotted her Dew?'
"Stop calling me Dew, you know how much it irks me when you say it" the boy snarled at the phone's voice.
'Dont be such a spoiler of fun Dew-kun!~'
The boy almost threw the object he was using off of a great height. The voice over the phone just laughed with heart.
'Im totally kidding, so calm down! I can sense your murder aura just through the phone line! It's just your code name! Anyways, have you done the procedures like I asked you to do?'
"Hai, everything is complete. Just as you explained. It was a pain in the ass, but it's done."
'Very well then. I expect a report tomorrow afternoon, Dew-kun. Now I'm hanging up. I have a desk meeting right in the morning. Ja ne~'
The mysterious boy on the roof closed the used cellphone harshly.
This voice was going to get pain once he came back. That irritating smart ass who can call people whatever he liked!
He then turned his shoes and went back to the location where he was currently staying at. He looked at his phone and tucked it in his pocket.
'This job is a pain in the ass' mystery boy almost popped a vein.
'You're a pain in the ass, Silver'.
