A/N: Hello, everyone! It's been a while, and you have my sincerest apologies for not updating sooner. My hiatus was supposed to only last a few weeks at the latest, but then my computer just stopped working. Then, when I tried to upload on my phone, my phone just died. I am so sorry that you all had to wait for this update, and I am also sorry if the quality is subpar, as I'm typing it out on the notes on my new phone. I'll edit the chapters I upload once I get my computer back, so that it can keep up with the quality of the chapters I've uploaded previously.

Azkadellio: That's exactly what I thought, as well. It's kinda like telling your spouse that you're a vampire or something. Without proof, they're gonna think you have serious mental issues.

Jenmar14: No, Jade West seems like the type to hold a pretty long grudge. Tori's gonna have to do a lot of damage control to make up for it.

Fruitfly50: I suppose you'll just have to wait and see!

ReaderNotWriter25: I gotchu.

Now then, on with the story!

"Stop staring, Vega, and close the damn door." Jade's voice cut through Tori's daydreams, and she silently did what she was told.

Jade, on the outside, didn't seem phased by the tanner woman standing in her room while she changed, and continued to gather her things for a shower.

On the inside, however, she was an emotional wreck. She wanted nothing more than to run over to Tori and hold onto her for the rest of eternity, collapsing in her arms and sobbing at all the horrible things she's had to go through while the Latina stroked her hair and told her that everything would be okay.

But another part of her, her rational mind, despised the girl for everything she did. For keeping her daughter from her. For telling her parents that Jade cheated on her. For not being there throughout years of Hell. For being the first thing she thinks of in the mornings, and the last thing she thinks of as she drifts off to sleep.

But mostly? For not loving her anymore. Because Tori represented the last of Jade's humanity, and without her, Jade's becoming the monster she never wanted to be.

"Outta my way, Vega. I'm taking a shower." Jade said, putting heavy emphasis on Tori's last name.

She caught the flash of hurt in Tori's eyes when she did so, and that hurt dug deep into her heart.

Not my problem, Jade thought to herself. Besides, she did it first.

Jade brushed past the youngest Vega, and headed for the shower.

Downstairs, Robbie was typing away on his laptop, trying to find some information on child abducting or sacrificing entities. He was set up on the kitchen table, and David Vega sat with him, asking questions every once in a while.

"So how long have you and Jade been hunters?" He asked first.

"Jade's been a hunter all her life. Her dad forced her into it with him when her mother was murdered by a demon. Her dad's crazy about hunting down every single supernatural being, while Jade mostly does it to save people." He replied, not looking up from his computer.

"I was more or less thrown into it. My dad was a hunter friend of Jade's dad, and he was murdered by a rogue spirit when I was little. I had a choice: either go to an orphanage, or become a hunter."

"Do you regret your decision?" David asked, leaning onto the table and propping his elbows up.

At that question, Robbie's hands paused. After a bit of silence, he answered.

"No, because Jade's the best thing that ever happened to me. It's not like I like her romantically, that's literally be like kissing my sister, but she's always protected me, and she's always the one thing I can depend on more than anything in this world. I know that if I asked her to drag Lucifer himself from Hell, she'd find a way to make it happen." He said after thinking about his answer.

The male Vega nodded. It was good to know that Jade would do anything for those she loved. It also made his heart heavy for the girl. His daughter had broken her heart, and now they were asking for her help.

It had to be excruciatingly painful for the pale woman.

"Has Jade had a girlfriend since, you know...?" David asked hesitantly.

Robbie sighed.

"No. Just a lot of...partners. She refuses to let anyone in like she did Tori. Your daughter hurt her more than anything in this world." He closed the laptop.

"And may I be honest, Mr. Vega?" Robbie said tensely. David nodded.

"Your daughter's got a lot of shit to make up for, pardon the language. I know she still wants Jade, I can read her body language well enough to know that much. Jade was never good at that. But I know that if Jade had to choose between me or...your daughter, she'd choose me in a heartbeat, because I'd do exactly the same for her. And, to be frank, I don't think I want my sister to be with someone who hurt her so badly. I want her to be happy. But I don't know if she can with...your daughter." Robbie finished, and grabbed his laptop.

"I apologize, but I have to cut this short. I have some research at the library that must be attended to."

And with that, Robbie left the male Vega at the table, his mouth wide open.

Jade exited the shower, grabbing the towel she had laid out beforehand and wrapping up in it. She headed back for the guest room to find Tori still there.

However, the tanner girl managed to relocate herself from the middle of the room to the bed, where she lay, her back facing the door, wrapped up in Jade's favorite leather jacket. Jade knew from the soft snores coming from the woman that she was fast asleep.

The pale huntress crossed the room quietly, and quickly dressed in some basketball shorts and a tank top. She then put what few clothes she brought in away, and sat at a small desk near the bed, silently cleaning already spotless weaponry. She would clean the weapon, and then stash it in a different part of the room.

After her false cleaning was through, Jade stood awkwardly at the foot of the bed, debating what to do.

Do I wake her up? Jade asked herself. Or do I just get in with her. I could sleep on the couch. Or on the floor. Or eve-

Jade was pulled from her thoughts by the Latina herself, turning over in the bed and snuggling into the jacket even more, inhaling subconsciously.

Jade sighed, her mind made up.

She crawled into bed and carefully pulled the leather jacket off of Tori, tossed it over the sighed of the bed, and wrapped her arms around the girl from behind, pressing all of her body that she could against the shorter woman.

This went against most of her brain, which was screaming at her to get off of her, to condemn her, to hate her.

But frankly, Jade was exhausted from so much driving and research. Plus, she was Jade fucking West. Nobody, not even her own rational mind, told her what to do.

So, that's the chapter. I apologize for any subpar quality, but I did my best with what I had. I hope you enjoyed the chapter, and I'll update when I can!
