A/N: So here's my next chapter! I`m really truly sorry that this took so long to update. I was studying for finals in June, but then my city flooded. Then drama camp, then I was away and then school started. BUT IM BACK! Here is the chapter. It includes A Heart Full of Love, well bits and pieces of the song, and The Attack on Rue Plumet! I was amused at how I decided to end this story and I hope you think it's a good ending…. BTW: Cossette isn't important to the story so this is her last appearance…. So thanks for reading this! And keep reviewing! Love ya guys!

Eponine waited sadly outside the gate of Cossette's house, while Marius and Cossette talked. She couldn't hear much but what she caught Cossette saying killed her inside:
A heart full of love
No fear, no regret
She couldn't quite make out what Marius said, but she figured that it was along the lines of "I love you." She then began to pace while mumbling to herself:
He was never mine to lose
Why regret what cannot be?
These are words he'll never say
Not to me...
Not to me...
Not to me...
His heart full of love
He will never feel this way...
Suddenly she heard footsteps. Eponine froze as she heard voices she recognized. It was her father and his gang. She quickly hid behind the pillar of one of the big gates and listened in on their conversation. Her father was leading the gang and was looking at the house as he spoke.
"This is his lairI've seen the old fox around. He keeps himself to himself, he's staying close to the ground. I smell profit here!" He turned back to his gang, "Ten years ago, he came and paid for CosetteI let her go for a song, it's time we settled the debt. This'll cost him dear!"
One of his friends spoke up, "What do I care who you should rob? Give me my share! Finish the job!"
Her father spoke again, "You shut your mouth! Give me your hand," Then he turned around and looked her square in the face. The rest of his gang followed his gaze, and then he spoke again, "What have we here? Who is this hussy?"
Another friend of his spoke up, "It's your brat Eponine, don't you know your own kid? Why's she hanging about you?"
Her father walked towards her and roughly grabbed her arm and dragged he back to the group of gang members. "'Ponine, get on home, you're not needed in this! We're enough here without you!"
Knowing she needed to protect Marius and Cossette she decided she needed to convince her father that he wasn't interested in this house.
"I know this house, I tell you, there's nothing here for you!Just the old man and the girl! They live ordinary lives"
Her father was losing his temper now, which wasn't good for Eponine,"Don't interfere! You've got some gall! Take care, young miss, you've got a lot to say!"
His gang backed him up,
"She's going soft"
"Happens to all"
"Go home, 'Ponine, go home, you're in the way!"
Now what? Eponine thought to herself. Then an idea popped into her head. It was risky, but it could work.
"I'm gonna scream, I'm gonna warn them here."
Her father took a step towards her, "One little scream and you'll regret it for a year"
"What a palaver, what an absolute treat, to watch a cat and it's father pick a bone in the street"
Her father spoke again, "Not a sound out of you!"
She took in a deep breath and stood up tall, "Well I told you I'd do it, told you I'd do it..."
She let out a ear curling scream. Her father turned to her. Pure anger in his eyes. He then yelled to his men to get out of there. Eponine began to run away, but M. Thenandrier caught her arm.
"You'll wait my dear. You'll rue this night! Ill make you scream! You'll scram alright!" And with that he slapped her with all his force.
Marius, having heard a scream, no doubt Eponine's, ran towards where the sound came from. Just as he turned the corner, he saw Eponine's father slap her, with what looked like a lot of force. He quickly ran towards them.
"Miseu," Marius growled and M. Thenandrier turned towards him. "You have no right to treat a lady like that." Out of the corner of his eye he saw Eponine look at him, her eyes wide, and her cheek beet red.
"She disobeyed her father's orders. She deserved punishment!" M. Thenandrier replied smirking. " And she is no lady. She's just a street rat!" That was it. Marius couldn't take the fact that he didn't treat Eponine right anymore. So he punched M. Thenandrier in the nose.
