Summary: To become a heroine she weathers the darkness in search of sunlight. Sakura-centric.

To Become A Heroine

That evening she felt nostalgic for some reason. She thought about her previous life and all that came with it. She laid in bed thinking about all of her friends, her master, and her parents. For the first years of her life, she definitely mourned them and cried for them. She missed the old times and couldn't help but shed a few silent tears. She was feeling lonely being all by herself and dialed Izuku's number. The phone rang for a few seconds before he picked up.

"Hello, Sakura?" he answered.

"Hey Izuku, can you invite everyone to my apartment?" Sakura asked, wistfully.

"Wait, what? Why?" Izuku questioned.

"I just want us all to hang out," Sakura replied, remembering Team 7 bonding exercises. "Maybe we can order pizza and play some games. So can you do it?"

"Sure, if everyone's up to it I'll call you back," Izuku replied.

"Thank you, Izuku," Sakura replied with a smile.

"No problem. I'll call you back."

Sakura ended the call and sat up in her bed. She stretched her body before standing up and walking into the living room. "Time to do some cleaning," she told herself before grabbing the essentials needed for cleaning.

Her apartment has a large open living space with smart parquet floor, deep comfy sofas, dark wood antique sideboard and dresser, an elegant dining table with seating for up to four and a well-equipped, pretty country style kitchen at one end. There is a flower-filled garden roof terrace with a beautifully furnished outdoor furniture that was her favorite spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The rent on her apartment is pretty expensive but it was a good thing her family was rich thanks to the family businesses. Right now, her apartment was basically an indoor garden with a plethora of flowers. There were flowers in the living room, dining room, bathroom, her bedroom, and the private garden. The kitchen was the only place with very little flowers due to potential hazards.

She spent half of an hour cleaning the apartment. She wiped the kitchen counters down with a wet cloth. She normally kept the apartment clean at all times due to her keeping the habit from her previous life and constantly cleaning after Sarada. She stopped mid-cleaning – leaned against the counter – and sighed.

Sarada.

Soon her phone rang, snapping her from her thoughts. She picked up her phone and saw a text from Izuku and it was telling that everyone would be there soon. Taking a deep breath, she plastered a smile on her face before dialing another number and ordering three pizzas. She robotically got herself ready for her visitors and stood to wait in the living room.

An hour later there was a knock on the door that prompted her to walk towards the door. She pulled the door open and there stood Izuku, Ochacho, Todoroki, Tenya, and Momo. "Hey guys, come on in!" Sakura greeted, forcing out as much happiness as she could.

"Sakura!" Ochacho cried out, jumping at her and hugging hert tightly.

Sakura smiled, returning the hug.

"Woah, your apartment is really amazing Sakura-san." Tenya said as he stepped in and observed the apartment.

"Well, that's expected since this one of the expensive apartments that's close to the school," Momo replied with a smile. "and it's really gorgeous. I feel like I just stepped into a garden."

"I've walked you home many times but this is my first time on the inside," Izuku replied offhandedly as he followed suit and stepped inside, not noticing the strange looks that were sent his way.

Sakura coughed. "You guys can have a seat. I've ordered three pizzas; one veg, one meat and one with everything but… why does everyone have stuff in their hands?"

"We hope you don't mind be we all brought food and drinks too. It was kind of last minute." Momo grinned opening her backpack and the others followed suit.

Sakura was shell shocked and her eyes landed on Todoroki with a platter in his hand. "What is that?"

"Dan-" Todoroki barely got out before Sakura snatched it from his hands.

"DANGO!" Sakura squealed before eating one from the platter.

"Sakura you have to wait for the others to get here." Tenya reprimanded.

"We aren't in class Tenya." another voice interrupted. "Leave her alone."

With a dango half-way into her mouth, she turned her head to the voice. There stood Kyoka, Mineta, and Kirishima.

"Sakura-san!" Mineta yelled out, jumping at Sakura with his hands in a squeezing motion.

Before he could reach her a plant snatched him from the air and threw him on the sofa. "Shameless," Sakura muttered, glaring at the small boy.

"Y-yo S-sakura." Kirishima stuttered, looking at her fearfully.

Sakura smiled at Kirishima. "Hello." she welcomed him, ushering him inside.

"H-how are y-you?" he asked.

"What's wrong with you?" Izuku asked, confused.

"Sakura threatened him when you were in the infirmary and since then he's been scared," Ochacho replied, chuckling.

"I like him better like this," Kyoka whispered with a smile.

"I agree," Todoroki added.

"Kirishima, you can have seat while we wait for the others to arrive," Sakura said sweetly.

"Y-yes ma'am!"

Sakura nodded before engaging in idle talk with her classmates. Before long her entire class filled up her apartment. For once in her current life, she acted like a child and just enjoyed herself. They played games, drink lots of soda and ate tons of junk food. Even Bakugo, who is normally so volatile was acting almost normal. She became pensive as she watched her classmates interact and laugh with each other. She quietly left the room and went out into her garden. She checked her phone for the time and it was minutes to 8 pm. She sat down on the outdoor sofa and sighed.

"You don't sound too happy, ribbit." Tsuyu said walking in the garden followed by the other girls from her class.

"Everyone.." Sakura said, as the girls came and sit down.

"You know we never got to do lunch thingy we planned," Mina said before sipping on her can soda.

"We've been quite busy lately, huh?" Toru added.

"This week It will definitely happen," Mina told everyone with a smile.

"Let's get down to the real business. BOYS." Kyoka said while grinning mischievously.

Everyone went quiet.

"Wow, everyone is quiet now," Kyoka replied, before looking towards the glass doors. "The boys are busy playing a card game."

"I'll start, ribbit." Tsuyu began. "Who is the hottest guy in our class based on appearance?"

"Shoto." everyone immediately said, including Sakura.

"It's unanimous," Momo replied, sipping her soda.

"That's a no brainer," Kyoka said before turning Ochacho.

"W-what?"

"Who out of the boys in our class is your crush?" Kyoka grinned.

"You have to answer!" Toru squealed.

"No escape," Momo replied.

"You guys aren't safe!" Ochacho cried out with a blush on her cheeks. "It's Bakugo."

"Wow..." Mina said.

"That's expected." Sakura chuckled.

"You have a peculiar taste," Momo added softly.

Ochacho narrowed her eyes at Momo and grinned. "Oh, why don't you tell us about Todoroki, huh?"

"W-what?!"Momo exclaimed, her cheeks pink.

"Your crush is definitely Todoroki." Toru laughed.

Sakura smiled as the girls kept exposing each other and she didn't feel so sad any more. She was glad that she was managing to escape from the brutal expose in front of her.

"Do you think you're safe Sakura?" Ochacho grinned.

Sakura gulped as all the other girls watched her with creepy smiles. "I don't have a crush on anyone."

"The female Deku is denying it," Kyoka replied.

"Mrs. Deku knows that we know," Ochacho added while grinning.

"Mrs. Midoriya should just confess," Momo replied.

"Poor poor Mrs. Deku," Toru whined.

"Give it up Deku 2.0." Mina laughed.

"FINE!" Sakura yelled, her face red. "You're right. I do have…..you know!"

Sakura blushed deeper as the girls laughed at her.

That evening everyone enjoyed themselves. Her bond with her classmates was better now and she could tell everyone was grateful for the gathering.

However, what she didn't know was that the next day chaos would ensue.

She was given the day off from school thanks to Recovery Girl. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to do the trial of rescue with the rest of her class. So now, she was home alone bored out of her mind. She was laying on her couch in a light green hoodie, blue jeans and rainbow colored socks with her usual hairstyle. She was flicking through the channels lazily until her phone pinged. It was a message from Izuku. Sakura gasped and immediately sat up as she read the message. He texted one word.

Villains.

She immediately snatched up her keys, stuffed her feet in white vans and was through the door in a blink of an eye. She went down the stairs two steps at a time. She turned left and ran down the street in the direction of her school. She knew the training facility was fairly far from the school. She had no time to get her hero costume or the basic training outfit. Before she could run any further a voice she knew very well called her name. She skidded to a stop as an apparition of a shadow man appeared in front of her. Her heart stopped and her eyes narrowed. She held down the fear that erupted within her the moment she heard the first syllable.

"Sakura."

"Sasuke!" Sakura growled.

"Sakura, it's been….. a long time. I've been waiting…. You made me wait."

"You're a sick psycho Sasuke." Sakura hissed, the memory of her murder brought to the forefront of her mind. The ground cracked from beneath her feet and vines and flowers slithered out, wrapping around her body protectively.

"You're trying to be a hero? You should join me and be together with me like you always wanted." the shadow smirked, revealing rows of grotesque teeth.

Sakura bitterly laughed. "You know, I always hoped you wouldn't be in this world but knowing my luck I knew you would be here. I wondered what I would say to you or how I would feel f I met my murderer but now when looking at you I feel hatred and disgust. You've become a disappointment Sasuke and Naruto will always be better than you." she replied, knowing Naruto was his weak spot.

Sasuke laughed and it sounded disjointed and warped. "Don't you want to know what happened to Konoha?"

Sakura remained silent, glaring at him.

"Well, how about I enlighten you. After you died-"

"After you murdered me!" Sakura corrected.

"I do regret that but that's beside the point. After you died there was chaos in the village and no one knew it was me. Naruto placed me in charge to find the murderer since you were my wife and I was so broken up about it." he smirked.

"Shikamaru was the first to figure out it was me but I killed him – including his family – before he could utter a word to Naruto. After him, there was Kakashi who met the same fate. It escalated into a series of murders each time someone was close to figuring out who caused your death and each time I got away with it until well, Naruto figured it out. I killed him as well and eventually I had to raze the village to the ground. I hated Naruto and I wanted him to watch the village suffer and before he met his demise."

"Y-you killed all of our friends?" Sakura whispered in shock.

"I didn't kill everyone. I couldn't bear to kill our daughter. She was the reason I died." Sasuke replied with a smile.

"You're a monster." Sakura barely got out as tears ran down her cheeks.

"Then I was reincarnated into this world with quirks," Sasuke continued. "And then it hit me. If I'm here then the others were here too. I began actively searching for any strange phenomena and the first one I met was your best friend; Ino Yamanaka."

"I-Ino?" Sakura questioned.

"Her hero name was Possession Girl. She had a quite useful quirk that was both great in battle and bed. Unfortunately, I killed her before she could find out who I was. Shikamaru was next. I think he went by Shadow Walker. He was quite the hero in America and a strong opponent but he also met the same fate. One by one I killed all of them like last time. It was like a game; Hunt The Reincarnators. The only people who were missing was Naruto, Kakashi and you, until recently."

"You found me," Sakura replied, as she got into a battle stance. The flowers around her began to mutate into hideous monsters.

"You're not wrong but I found someone else." Sasuke grinned.

"No," Sakura whispered.

"How about I show you," Sasuke said, raising his hand.

Before she could command her creations to attack she found herself disappearing.

"Say hello for me, my wife."

Suddenly, a white ceiling was in front of her and she was falling. She was in the Unforeseen Simulation Joint and below her, Aizawa was fighting many villains alone. He looked injured and at his limit. It was then she knew what she had to do. She spun her body around so she was falling headfirst towards the ground. Petals converged around her as she slowed her fall towards the ground. A large, closed flower rose from the ground – startling the villains below – and slowly bloomed into her special lady of the night flower. Its pink petals shimmered as it unfurled them and caught her in its embrace.

"Thank you!" Sakura shouted as she jumped once more and slid down the stem towards the ground with petals floating all around her.

"No problem Sakura sama!" the lady of the night replied with joy.

She could see five villains standing below waiting for her. She calculated the distance and pushed off of the stem before she hit the ground. She planted her two feet in the face of a villain and immediately twisted her body, hearing a crunch from the villain's nose being broken. Both her hands shot outwards, shooting multiple vines out from her bracelets. The vines constricted the other four villains, squeezing them tightly with no way to escape.

"Momochi!"

Sakura quickly jumped down and ran towards her sensei. "Sensei, are you ok?!"

"What are you doing here?!" Aizawa asked her, as she ran to him.

"I'll tell you later but it seems like you were in trouble-" Sakura started but was stopped by a black shadow mass.

"Not yet!" the shadow said before sucking her up.

"MOMOCHI!"

Sakura screamed as she was falling once more and this time towards a boat. "I HATE THIS!" she screamed before summoning her flower petals once more to float safely down.

"Sakura!"

Sakura looked down and she could spot Izuku, Tsuyu, and Mineta on the boat as well. She landed safely before letting out a sigh. "When am I going to stop falling?" Sakura mumbled to herself.

"Sakura what are you doing here?!" Izuku asked, looking confused.

"I got your text message." Sakura simply said.

"I didn't text you. I don't have my phone on me." Izuku replied, giving her a strange look.

"That's strange, ribbit." Tsuyu added.

Then that message must've been planned by Sasuke."Well, after leaving the house I was transported here." Sakura told them, gesturing towards her clothes. "As you can see, unlike you all, I'm not really hero ready."

Mineta coughed, earning everyone's attention before turning to Izuku and screaming. "I'd hate to interrupt but WHAT DO MEAN, "WE FIGHT"!? ARE YOU A MORON OR SOMETHING? THESE ARE VILLAINS WHO MIGHT BE ABLE TO KILL ALL MIGHT! YOUR IDEA IS SELF-CONTRADICTORY, MiDORIYA! WE SHOULD JUST BE QUIET AND WAIT FOR THE HEROES OF YUUEI TO SHOW UP AND SAVE US! YEAH, THAT'S THE BEST COURSE OF ACTIONS!"

"Mineta, those bastards down there… They're clearly all about the underwater battle..."Izuku said, pointing at the water. Sakura could see many villains in the water whose quirks were most likely suited for water battle.

"So they must have to know about the layout of USJ beforehand and gathered people with that in mind, huh?" Tsuyu said.

"Exactly, they stocked up information for the attack. But for a bunch of guys who prepared so meticulously, there's something awfully odd about their behaviour…." Izuku added.

"Because it's simple," Sakura replied, gaining everyone's attention. "They don't know what your quirks are."

Izuku grinned. "You're right Sakura!" he said before turning to Tsuyu. "In an underwater zone of combat. Asui, you're able to move freely! It's your strength so why would they put you there?"

"Why didn't they put me in the conflagration zone where it's always on fire?" Sakura pondered out loud.

"Maybe they don't know the full potential of your quirk?" Mineta questioned.

"I'm a frog so the fire zone wouldn't have been fun for me." Tsuyu replied.

"It's because they don't have intel on our quirks." Izuku started.

"Their strategy is to assault us with sheer numbers." Sakura finished with a smirk before walking to the rail and looking down at the villains.

"They've got us beat in numbers and experience. We have only one key to victory. Our one advantage is that they have no clue what our quirks can do!"

"Well, that may be true for you all… since I was on the television." Sakura weakly chuckled.

"But you can do more with your quirk than you showed so it still applies," Izuku said, reassuring her.

"I can leap fairly high. I can clamber up walls. My tongue can lash out up to a length of 20 meters and I can inflate my stomach outwards. It's line with poisonous mucus. Well, not really poisonous so much as some-what stinging. And I can….secrete it." Tsuyu told them.

"Secrete!" Mineta mumbled, clearly in a daze.

"The latter two are probably useless so you can forget about those."

"Secrete…." Mineta whispered, still in a daze.

"I expected that but you're pretty strong..." Izuku replied, nodding his head before looking at his fist. "My power is extremely strong, but once I use it my bones crack and fracture. Think of it as kind of a glass cannon."

They turned to Mineta who was trembling with a purple ball in his hand. He stuck it to the ship and before speaking. "It's super sticky. Depending on my health level, they can stay sticky for as long as a whole day. A new one will grow out of the place I plucked the last one from, but if I keep plucking too continuously I'll start to bleed. Only I'm super immune to their stickiness and to me, they just bounce around like this when I press them."

Everyone was silent before Mineta started yelling. "I told you didn't I? Let's just wait quietly to be rescued! My quirk isn't suited towards combat at all?!"

"Wait, hold on, It's an amazing quirk, we just need to think of a way to use it to it's fullest," Izuku replied, trying to placate the boy.

"Well, I could probably fly us all out of here," Sakura replied, making everyone turn to her. "But I that would waste a lot of my energy but I have a plan to get us all out."

"How?" Izuku replied.

"Cactus," Sakura replied with a smile.

Izuku's eyes lit up. "Of course! I can't believe I forgot about that!"

Suddenly the ship violently rocked to the side. "You're getting annoying. Let's end this farce!"

Sakura braced herself as she hung on the ship along with the others. She could see the ship splitting in half.

"What insane power! He split the ship!" Izuku told them, as he hung onto Tsuyu who lost her balance.

"It won't even take a minute for the ship to sick and once you fall into the drink, it's 100% our win." a villain said, grinning evilly.

"Maybe that would've happened if I wasn't here!" Sakura grinned as large cactus shot out of the water, pushing away any villain in the way. "Absorb all of the water!" Sakura yelled. The cactus began rapidly absorbing all the water, creating a huge whirlpool that pulled in all the villains.

"Mineta!" Izuku yelled, "Keep throwing your sticky balls in the water!"

"AHHH!" Mineta yelled before throwing many balls at a rapid rate.

"Let's go!" Tsuyu said before wrapping both Izuku and Sakura with her tongue. She grabbed Mineta and leaped off the boat.

Sakura watched as all the villains were stuck together by Mineta's balls and stuck to her cactus as well. The moment all of the water was sucked in by the cactus she grinned.

"Sakura!" Izuku called out.

"I know!" Sakura replied with a smirk. "WASH THEM AWAY!"

"Yes! Sakura sama!" The cactus obeyed. The cactus expanded, it's flower glowing white before it expelled water from every part of its body. The water crashed down on the villains like a high pressured waterfall and washed them away. They landed in the turbulent waves below them and started swimming towards the shore.

"I enjoyed a really smooth dump this morning, so my balls should stick on those guys for a whole day," Mineta said as Tsuyu dragged him.

"You're disgusting, Mineta." Sakura hissed, glaring at the boy.

"That was a great combination back there. Normally, you'd think they would have a bunch of people hiding underwater. I guess they weren't acting as cautiously as they thought they were. But even if that were the case they wouldn't be able to escape the suction power of that cactus. We need to be more discreet and more prudent..." Izuku mumbled next to Sakura.

"Stop that mumbling Midorya. It's scaring me." Tsuyu calmly said, glancing at the boy. "Anyway, shouldn't we be deciding what to do next?"

"You're right, I suppose for the time being our #1 priority should be calling for help. If things go our way we can just follow the waterside to the exit, avoiding the central plaza altogether." Izuku replied.

"Oh yeah, Aizawa sensei is in the plaza, holding back that giant group of villains. There's gotta too many of them and Sakura is that your giant flower there?" Tsuyu turned to Sakura.

"Yeah," Sakura chuckled sheepishly, "I was transported at the plaza and started to help out Aizawa before I was sucked into a black mass and I was suddenly in the water zone."

"Do you think he can hold up?" Izuku asked Sakura.

Sakura shook her head. "Sensei is a strong hero but there's only so much he can do by himself."

"He flew into action in order to protect us and is overextending himself as a result," Izuku said, watching Aizawa fighting the villains.

"You're not saying we should….?" Mineta questioned.

"Ribbit…."

"I'm not saying we jump into the fray if that's what you're thinking," Iuku said.

"That's what I'm thinking though," Sakura replied.

"What?! No, Sakura you can't." Izuku immediately protested.

"Well, I can do it from here. I just need to concentrate a bit." Sakura said before focuses on her giant lady of the night flower. They watched as the flower shrunk until it was normal sized.

"What are you going to do?" Tsuyu asked, watching Sakura.

"I'm going to slow them down so sensei would have it easier," Sakura said, before whispering. "Sleepy Veil." The lady of the night flower released a pink mist from its petals.

"Won't whatever that is affect sensei too?" Mineta asked.

Sakura ignored him and spoke telepathically to her flower. "Inject my sensei with the antidote!"

"Right away Sakura sama!" the lady of the night said before a leaf from its stem extended and shot towards Aizawa, slicing him on his neck.

"Good, he should be safe for now," Sakura said with a sigh as the flower disappeared.

"The villains are moving slower. That's great, Sakura!" Izuku grinned.

They watched the battle from their position until it escalated and became even more dangerous and deadly. Their sensei was overwhelmed and pinned down by a black monster. Sakura bit her lip as fear gripped her. She needed to help him right now.

"This is too much Sakura… you gotta be having second thoughts now, right?" Mineta cried, pressing his hands against his mouth to stop from crying out.

"Ribbit..."

"…." Izuku remained shocked.

"You need to help him Sakura," she whispered to herself before she stood up. "I'm going to help him." she declared.

"No," Izuku replied quickly.

"IZUKU!" Sakura snapped, her hand balled into a fist. "We can't let our sensei die." That was all she said before running towards the plaza while her classmates call out her name. She was running faster than she had in this new life.

She held her hands toward Aizawa and concentrated. "Concrete Rose Garden!" She screamed as concrete roses erupted from around Aizawa's body and violently pushed the monster away from him before coiling around him protectively. She stopped next to Aizawa's body and panted.

"Sensei, I'm here to help," Sakura replied as she stared down the monster and the white-haired man. She shuddered as she eyed the hands on his body and face.

"Oh, I was waiting for you." the white-haired man said.

"Who are you?" Sakura asked, glaring at him. Sakura quickly commanded many different flowers to grow around her. She grew a small garden around her and her sensei.

"I'm Tomura Shigaraki." he said, before gesturing to the monster in front of him. "That's Nomu."

"Why were you waiting for me?!" Sakura angrily asked.

"I've been waiting for you since I saw you on the television." Tomura said, "Don't you remember me?"

"I don't know who the hell you are!" Sakura hissed.

He laughed manically. "I'm very very very hurt, Sakura-chan!" he growled.

Her heart immediately dropped. "No, it can't be," Sakura whispered, taking a step back.

"Oh, you just remembered?" Tomura grinned. "Your dear old friend Naruto greets you, Sakura-chan."
