Gone
Victorious fanfic

Okay, I know you people enjoyed this story, but I didn't appreciate the urgent "UPDATE NOW" reviews I kept getting on ALL of my stories.

I'm not going to dive into it too much, but I have had severe family issues for six months (and my dog died last November, which I took pretty dang badly). I didn't have TIME to update okay?

*Ahem* Now then, I'm not promising you a steady schedule, as I'm still recovering from what's happened.

But, I've been working on this chapter for nearly a year.

Things have gotten in the way, but please enjoy chapter seven of "Gone" :)

Disclaimer: Nope. Still don't own Victorious. Sorry if anyone thought otherwise. Dan still owns it :D

Chapter Seven:
Crashing down

Jade: "Thank you for ruining my life!"

Cat's POV

Oh no.

Jade heard me too.

I shrug it off and look at Robbie.

He's more cleaned up today.

That's only because I helped him get ready.

Hehe, he was so cute…

Is

Focus Cat!

His eyes are so sad…

I frown and take his hand.

I hear his thoughts.

Weird voice thing that's you… right?

"Yep yep." I sigh, squeezing his hand and pulling him away from Jade and towards the office.

Where are we going? He think-asks.

"To the office silly!" I giggle.

"Why?" he asks out loud.

"…You need to get your work, duh!"

"Good point…" he mutters as we approach Helen's office.

I realize something as we walk. People are giving him weird looks. I suddenly realize why.

"From now on, speak to me in your head so she or anyone else doesn't think your crazy okay Robbie?"

Gotcha. He thinks.

I giggle as he opens the door.

"Robbie?" Helen asks, moving her head up from her papers.

"…Hello."

"Glad you could come back to school… are you here for your missed work?"

"Yes ma'am," he nods.

She digs through her files and hands him a large stack of folders, papers, and sticky notes.

I rub his back comfortingly as he takes a deep breath.

That's a lot of work what if I can't do it voice what if I can't-

"Robbie you are gonna get through this!" I yell in frustration, causing him to jump.

Helen looks at him curiously. "Are you okay?"

"…Y-yes ma'am. Thank you."

I can't tell her I'm talking to a voice in my head now can I?

I chuckle, taking his free hand as we leave the room.

I hear Helen mutter, "Spazzy boy."

He sighs.

"Hey." I say softly, standing in front of his path and squeeze his hand.

What?

"I can help you get through this Robbie… You're gonna be okay." I smile at him even though he can't see it.

I don't know about that…

I sigh. "I give up on convincing you. Now come on, time for class." I take his schedule from his hands. "Sikowitz is first- you love him!" I smile brightly.

Yeah… Let's go.

"Great!" I giggle, pulling him along to the class.

…~…

When we walk into the room I gasp.

I forgot that they all would be here.

Tori, Andre, Beck and Jade…

And Sikowitz…

They can hear me.

Miss… voice… lady? Are you still here? He think-asks in fear.

I keep mum, but take his hand.

"Okay class- Jade! Robbie! Welcome back." Sikowitz smiles with empathy on his features.

Robbie weakly smiles back, and Jade nods towards our teacher.

…Ahem, my past teacher.

I wish I could still be a Hollywood Arts student…

Phooey.

A tear rolls down my cheek, and I'm very thankful that no one has the ability to see me yet.

I sniff, and immediately regret it.

Immediately Robbie, Jade, Beck, Tori, Andre and Sikowitz turns to my 'empty chair'.

The 'shruggers' look at them weirdly, as if to say "Um… what are you people looking at?"

Sikowitz stops the lesson, looking around the room. "Did anyone else hear that, or did I drink too much coconut milk this morning?"

The five raise their hands.

"…Okay so moving on." Sikowitz says awkwardly, getting back into 'teaching mode'.

"Sorry…" I whisper, forgetting that they can't see me.

I might as well have just given the six a heart attack.

"Who is speaking?" Sikowitz yells in the same tone he used when he thought Tori's cellphone was just ringing in his ear. (1)

"I'm… not sure." Tori trails off, looking around in a confused way.

"No idea." Andre answers.

"I got nothin'." Beck adds.

Robbie stays silent as I squeeze his hand. He flinches at the movement as Jade averts her eyes from us – well technically just him, seeing as they can't see me yet.

I know she remembers 'the voice', so obviously she isn't going to say anything about it.

She shrugs indifferently. "Just get back to the lesson. It's probably a shy shrugger."

Said shruggers all shake their heads, but Sikowitz ignores them, desperate to get back to the classroom discussion he had started earlier.

He claps his hands together. "Okay! So, I see Jade and Robbie have returned – welcome back."

Jade nods towards him and Robbie smiles, although it looks forced and fake.

No one but Sikowitz and Jade take notice of this, but she brushes it off, turning back to Sikowitz.

"Wait you already said that Sikowitz-" Tori starts.

"So… what did we miss?" Jade asks casually, interrupting Tori in the process.

"Well, you had a test last week, and other than that we have been doing various acting exercises and scenes. The other teachers, Helen-" He says her name with slight venom.

I never did figure out what happened with them…

"-And I have decided to do some six-on-one activities with those that have been excused from school the past three weeks- or less."

"Hold up, six? Cat's… not…" Robbie starts but falters, looking at the floor as tension fills the room.

"Here." Tori finishes for him, empathy across her face.

Oh if you guys only knew…

"Well if you remember correctly Trina Vega – Tori's sister –, was excused for a few days as well as you five in this room," he gestures to our group, sans me as he can't see me. "We've held off on doing these exercises until you and Robbie returned to school, seeing as you can't stand one another and we feared that you (he turns to Jade) would scare him from learning."

Jade smirks slightly before nodding her head. "You know it."

"Okay, back to the lesson at hand – drive-by acting exercise! You are all very angry dogs and cats. I will give you five minutes – go!" Sikowitz claps his hands together again before sitting in a chair. He picks a coconut with a magenta straw in it and starts to drink it.

"Oh I love the color magenta!" I smile, before gasping – as I remember that I'm technically invisible to everyone.

"…What was that?" Tori asks fearfully as Andres stops meowing and hissing at her.

"I… I don't know." Andre answers, trying to shrug it off but still glancing toward Robbie every now and then.

"Well, it came from where Robbie is at." Beck points out.

Robbie shakes his head at the accusation. "It wasn't me! I don't like magenta – I'm not a girl!"

"Well…-" Jade smirks.

"Jade," he growls, his facial expression turning dark and his cheeks turning red as he sits back down.

I think over something that Kevin explained to me earlier.

If I can just do it right-…

Um… hi.

H-hi who who's talking? Waaaait a second. Feminine Voice? How come I can hear you?

Robbie yes it's me… The 'feminine voice'. I roll my eyes in disbelief that he still hasn't figured out it's me.

Oh yeah! Wait, why am I the only one hearing you? I thought Tori, Andre, Beck, Jade, and Sikowitz-?

Robbie… That was me speaking. Now I'm thinking.

Thinking?

Yes. And don't listen to them; they're just as freaked out as you are.

His expression turns to confusion. How so? He think-asks.

Well for one thing they all just heard a random voice in their heads – sans Jade.

Why 'sans Jade'?

Because… I've talked to her before.

His mind just exploded, hehe.

What?

I told you I'm not just a voice in your head Robbie.

But… why are you talking to us?

"Robbie! I understand that you have had some… issues but please bark like an angry dog this instant!" Sikowitz commands, me giggling internally.

Hehe…

Laugh all you want miss. Robbie rolls his eyes before barking surprisingly well.

"Excellent Robbie keep it up!" Sikowitz smiles, pleased with Robbie's… barks I guess.

Jade huffs, hissing like a cat – similar to how she hissed in Yerba to those two Yerbanian girls. (2)

I giggle before barking like a furious chihuahua.

Everyone turns to Robbie.

"I know Robbie's voice can go high but holy chiz." Jade murmurs.

Robbie's face turns dark red as he glares at her, growling like a dog.

Yay Robbie you're staying in character! I hug his side.

That was you right?

Who else silly? I roll my eyes even though Robbie can't see me.

"Dang dude." Jade looks at him weirdly, before going back to meowing and hissing.

"Yeah, he's the weird one." I mutter, forgetting that I must be silent. I gasp, hands over my mouth as everyone turns towards Robbie, including Jade.

"WHAT did you say Shapiro?!" she glares darkly at him.

"I-I didn't say anything-" he starts, but she cuts him off.

"I want you to listen to me right now." Jade says forcefully as she makes her way towards him.

Robbie nods, afraid to make her madder.

I look at Sikowitz, who is just sitting there up on the stage – literally with popcorn in his lap –, watching the scene unfold.

"I get that it's been hard for you. I do. But that does not mean you are allowed to call me a weirdo," she whispers, voice full of scorn, but still with a tad of empathy. "Do you understand me?"

He nods before muttering, "You're not my mom you know."

"Ok-ay that tears it-," she blatantly says, shoving him on the ground.

He yelps in a high-pitched way because… Let's face it it's Robbie.

Then something snaps inside of him.

He glares at her with as much hate as you could possibly imagine, and moves his legs to knock her down too.

"Um, Sikowitz…-" Andre starts.

"Aren't you gonna stop them?" Tori finishes fearfully.

"No-ho-ho way!" Sikowitz chuckles. "This is better than cable!" He eats a handful of popcorn, the two rolling their eyes.

She coughs from the impact before staring daggers at him.

He smirks before breathing to calm down.

Robbie stands up slowly, dusting himself off and casually sitting back in his chair.

I just sit their, hands over my mouth still.

Wow…

I… I don't know what just came over me.

You know you're gonna pay for that right?

He sighs. …I know.

Jade gets up after a minute or so, breathing heavily as she adjusts her dark blue shirt and black leather jacket. After giving Robbie one final glare, she sits in her seat next to Beck.

"Okay then… Let's move on." Sikowitz says awkwardly, eying the two before getting back on track. "ABC improv time! Andre, Tori… Jade and Robbie."

The two are shocked for about two seconds before getting up on the stage. They glare at each other as Tori and Andre nervously get on the stage too.

Wow you can almost feel the tension…

I know. Robbie smirks for a second before turning to Sikowitz. "What's our letter to start with?"

"Um, let me see… Any volunteers?" Sikowitz looks around the room and sees Beck's hand. "Beck?"

"I," he says, giving Jade a look.

I go briefly into his thoughts, not thinking anything so he won't notice me.

She better say "I'm sorry."

As I get out of his thoughts I chuckle, turning to the group on stage.

"Okay the letter is 'I', Jade you start ACTION!" Sikowitz says quickly, taking a seat near the class.

"I do not regret pushing you on the ground," she smirks at Robbie.

"Jade please – we both know I won that 'fight'." Robbie air-quotes.

"Kicking is what I wish I could do to you!" she yells.

"Let's all stop fighting and just do the exercise." Tori sighs.

"May I remind you that we already are doing the exercise Vega?" Jade smirks.

Tori rolls her eyes at this.

"No we are not gonna stop fighting." Robbie says defiantly.

"Okay then… I'm backing away." Andre puts his hands up in the defense position, backing away as he said he would.

"Please? I don't want to see either of you get hurt… even Jade!" Tori huffs in frustration.

"Quit trying to make peace between us." Jade glares at her, instantly shutting the half-Latina up.

"Robbie and you and… all of us are going through a tough time so… can you guys please get along?" Andre begs.

The two ponder this before giving each other looks.

"So-" Robbie starts.

"-Totally not happening." Jade finishes his sentence, smirking at Andre and Tori.

"Oooh! A compromise!" Sikowitz says with glee, referring to their combined sentence.

"Unbelievable that you haven't gotten over it." Jade mutters.

Robbie eyes her funnily.

"Vega is my last name!" Tori says in an attempt to stop what she knew was going to come from the goth's mouth.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Andre asks her, squinting his eyes in confusion.

"X-cuse me but, Jade didn't finish her thought." Robbie points out, narrowing his eyes at her. "Go ahead… Jadelyn."

Luckily Sikowitz has never understood that "X" is not the same as 'Ec', 'Ex', and 'Exc' so Robbie isn't out.

Jade pauses, trying to think of the next letter. "You! I just… I can't believe that you haven't gotten over…-"

"Zebras! I love zebras!" Andre cheers, trying to get off of the subject. (3)

"And just what does that have to do with anything?" Jade asks him, shaking her head in slight amusement.

"Be-because they have stripes and – I give up," he sighs.

"Cat." Jade speaks, everyone growing silent as she continues. "I can't believe you're not over Cat."

Wh-what? Robbie's thought sounds as if he can't believe what she just said.

Aww Robbie…

Jade can be such a meanie!

"Dang..." Andre murmurs, meaning he wasn't out.

Although, I doubt Sikowitz would've cared because this conversation is getting serious.

"Excuse me Jade but… that's a little mean." Tori says, slightly uncomfortable.

"For what reason?" she immediately snaps back.

"Gossip shouldn't be brought into school!" Andre says.

I don't know if this counts as gossip but…

It hurts.

"Hey! He needs to get over her! She's never coming back!" Jade emphasizes.

"I… I really don't know what to say." Robbie whispers, his sadness visible through his eyes.

"Jade… That was extremely uncalled for." Andre says, glancing at Robbie.

"Kicking me to ground? I think that was also uncalled for."

"Lay off him, Jade." Tori sighs. "After all, you came over to him first…"

"Maybe you should shut up!" Jade interrupts her.

"No, just… just… we need to do the exercise." Robbie said quietly.

"Oh really?" Jade turned to him, as if he had said something insulting.

"Please leave me alone," he says, almost pleadingly.

Aww Robbie…

He just sighs.

"Quit being a gank, Jade. It's…" Andre gives a look to Tori.

"Really not cool," she finishes his sentence.

"Oh! Another compromise, good job!" Sikowitz compliments their combined sentence.

"Seriously? That's the best you can come up with?" Jade asks.

"Totally irrelevant." Robbie murmurs.

"Unbelievable that you think you can talk to Robbie about Cat like that." Tori says.

"Vega, watch yourself." Jade warns her.

I love Jade but, she's being so mean!

"Why did you even bring up Cat?" Robbie asks softly.

"X-cuse me?" Jade asks, tone changed to confusion.

"You told me I should be over Cat… It's been two weeks. I need a lot longer."

"Zebra crossing? Is that a thing?" Tori asked randomly. (4)

"Starting again with the letter A!" Sikowitz announced.

"Actually it is, but what does that have to do with anything?" Andre asked in confusion.

"Because… There is no reason. We're having an uncomfortable conversation and I'm trying to fix it." Tori explains.

"Can we stop? This isn't very beneficial to any of us." Robbie says softly.

"Dang-it Robbie man up!" Jade says in agitation.

"Everyone just calm down…" Andre muttered.

"Okay…" Sikowitz interrupted them. "That was… good. You can all sit now."

The four sit back down, and Sikowitz gets up, about to continuing teaching the class.

Wow that was intense.

You're telling me. Robbie thinks to himself.

I don't know if Jade would be that cold or upfront, but yeah...

Okay, so I hope you enjoyed this chapter :)

But PLEASE stop demanding more chapters...

I've addressed several times that I've had problems with updating.

And the past six months have been awful to say the least.

(1) From "Freak the Freak Out" incase you forgot.

(2) "Locked Up" episode reference.

(3) I think that word had just popped into my head when I made this note lol xD (it was like six months ago...)

(4) I was on my phone while typing that, and I was looking words in the dictionary that started with "Z", and that was MY reaction lol.

Thanks for reading, and if you've followed or favorited, or left and undemanding review. (Of course I appreciate ALL reviews, but reviews of "UPDATE NOW" don't help.)

(I have ideas for the next chapter of this, and ideas for "I'm Always Right There", but don't expect a quick update. We're taking end of the year tests at school and I have a big project in History due soon on the same day that I have to do a stupid performance... blech. School...)

But anyways, hope you have a FANTASTIC week! :D
