Dear readers I feel so bad leaving you in the dust. But you know how you are addicted to one thing than you go to another thing. I have finals in Chinese and social studies this week and our teachers are trying to cram everything in when we have. Also we went to Philly on a bus never want to do that on a school bus if you live in the U.S. it took us 2 hours to just get there, crazy right. thank you people in the U.S.A. to Philippians. Dear reader this was my original opening letter from last school year and this is like a year ago and I said I felt bad then now I am like tearing my hair out with all my new followers thank for the support I check my email like 3 times a day so if you complain or want to give me support always pm me. Percy POV:
He said "don't forget me please I don't think that I could stand it if you do this isn't already bad enough not seeing you. You are my only friend Percy."
"You are my only friend too, But you are the best friend I could ever have. Lets go or Chiron will worry." I said as we booth climbed into the coolest car ever to go to camp in an all excited mood happy that I did not lose my best friend today and hopefully will never happen but of course it would never happen with my luck! Oh you gods!
As always I'm right, kidding I am usually wrong in Alec's opinion or really far from right. But all I can do is hope for a better future. And like I predicted that I hoped would happen Alec gave me the silent treatment and it was now really getting on my nerves I opened up to him way more than usual or like ever but no. I get no response at all just him all not even talking. So I demanded, "talk now or so help me I will kill you, but since you are a god I will make you pray for mercy till you cry!"
"Ok, ok what do you want to talk about?" he huffed
"Stop playing dumb I know you know what I am talking about."
"I will take that threat seriously because I think you can do that, my family hates me. I'm not really ready to go out there and have everyone know everything I have done. They are always in everyone's space what I want my space that was one of the reasons I lived like this acting as if I was growing up in a human life I wanted to be free of all the unnecessary drama."
" I so get that I don't like drama too, I'm scared of this camp because there will be a lot of it there Percy"
" Ya, about the camp, you'll kick the campers butts, I have watched them in the past. And, about the drama umm... you'll need to check to have extra strong ear plugs those Aphrodite girls and everyone at camp will be talking about you knowing me, being the new girl, they being able to kick your ass, which i highly bought."
" Like what?"
"Um will I …"
"Spit it out."
"Well I haven't had a demigod I'm a while."
"How long Alec"
"100 years give or take and well people may think I'm your parent, which I am not."
" And that's a problem why?"
"Every parent or every god in general can't help Demi gods in any way it was a rule Zeus made that the gods were. Oh I mean are supposed to follow"
"supposed to follow?"
" Well I haven't seen or even been in contact for a while and before but the gods can't follow their own rules even Hades had a kid which is against the rules the big three are not allowed to have kids I think his name is nick his sister died at birth by Zeus when he killed his mother, he's about a year younger than you I think the only one I watch over since I came to NY."
"Oh and just so you know gods are gods but feeling and drama is everywhere. The way you say it no offense to anyone but they act like a bunch of California teenage girls and some of them are from California." I said as thunder rumbled telling me Zeus heard and wasn't happy.
On the other hand, Alec was laughing his head off saying "so true, so true."
Then of course my luck runs out. Evil luck!
"BAM BAM" as the car starts flipping over. All that's going through my head is I am going to die I'm going to die! Finally, the car slides to a stop after Alec pushes a few buttons on the steering wheel. Complaining how he just finished the car and how all of his hours of work wasted.
As I turn my head getting out of the car miraculously not hurt except few scrapes and bruises, because of his advancements to the car. He does advancements to things that I didn't even know that needs to be advanced or I wouldn't even think was useful. Now I realize that to me these really cool advancements were normal for me but were never possible to others if they were blind to the this world. Enough thinking our car just got totaled, so I look around out of instinct with my training what just happened to my parents and just habit.
Then I see a large form of a cat looking shadow. Which I love cats not the mean cats that want to fight others but the regular lap cat that is just all lovey dovey. But once I saw this cat-like thing I realized that it wasn't really a cat it was a sphinx that was looking like he was going to pounce. And said something that I really needed to know "Alec is that really what I think it is." I gasp. Taking a step back from the really scary thing in front of me.
I hear him say a yes in response the creature stops and starts talking.
"You know the procedure answer a riddle you pass and if your wrong you die." After she says this Alec takes a step forward but I stop him knowing he will do something really stupid which anyway take the easy way of the riddle, so i form a plan.
"Can I answer a riddle for both of us?" I ask i inhale waiting to know if she will talk the bait.
"Ok! but I will make a really hard one for that ,but if you get it wrong you both die..." She threatens with a evil laugh looking down at us, "The riddle is,
A being that survives under earth.
And becomes stronger every moment in time,
But leaving makes weaknesses.
The rightful place of power never given."
I think of the humans they can't enter earth. then I think of the gods thing of my favorite god Hades, the outcast the family he has is in the underworld no offense to Alec but he is my best friend so he is different from the others. So I say "Hades is the answer right."
"FucccK!" she squawked to us as she starts creeping toward us "another Demi god tricked me, you evil mortal, I will eat you anyway."
Just as she starts to attack I take out my daggers out of my coat as I pulled them out as i turned the daggers and they changed color and metal that I could not i couldn't question because there was no time. The sphinx attacked and Alec pulled out a hammer that gave an unearthly grow whispering, "what the fuck, they will know soon anyway." I barely heard him say.
So it began us two vs. the giant sphinx. Alec went first slamming his hammer in its head and then did a hook with the hammer. As I came from the back and cut off her tail as she shrieks out in pain. good thing i don't have a tail.
but one thing i should of known was that a mortal life is hard and never easy. so being right in back of the creatures leg wasn't a good thing.
