chapter 7
That night Jocelyn is too distracted to do homework she just keeps thinking back to what happen in the host club earlier that day
"Kurosawa-san" everyone looks at Mori as he speaks "Jocelyn promised to help Haruhi study for a retake exam tomorrow, so she really can't be taking time away from this. She already had to leave early yesterday so she needs to stay here"
As Jocelyn is lost in thought there's a knock at her door "Excuse me miss?" someone with a British accent calls from the other side
"Come in Akira" Jocelyn calls back in a British accent as well and a young woman most likely in her early 20's with black hair wrapped in a bun, tannish skin and brown eyes makes her way into Jocelyn's room
"This arrived for you" Akira hands her a box
"Oh these must be the invitations I ordered" Jocelyn takes the box from Akira and opens it to find a black envelope, Jocelyn opened one of the envelopes and pulled out a black card with gold lettering on it "They're beautiful" Jocelyn put the letter back inside and started shifting through them pulling out a select few "Akira take the rest of these and have them personally deliver, I'll take these" Jocelyn shakes her hand that holds the few she pulled out "and personally deliver them myself" she smiles
"Right away miss" Akira bows and takes the box from Jocelyn and takes her leave
"Thank you" Jocelyn says to her
"Before I forget miss, dinner is ready and you're father is waiting downstairs" Akira tells her
"Tell my father I'll be right there" Jocelyn tells her
"As you wish" Akira bows one more time before leaving
It's only a couple minutes later that Jocelyn is heading down to the dining room
"Hi daddy" Jocelyn kisses her father on the cheek and sits next to him "Is everything going well?" she asks
"Oh, just busy since the elections are coming up soon" he tells her "So have I missed anything these passed couple days?" he asks as their food is brought out
"Nothing really, I've been tutoring someone that's about it" she tells him
"From a family we know?" he asks
"No, she's a scholarship student but I believe uncle Yuzuru knows her" she answers him
"Speaking of Yuzuru, how is his son treating you uh Tamaki was it?" he asks
"Yeah Tamaki and he's been really good, he's always with him and doesn't let me be alone" she answers him
"Is that a good thing?" he asks unsure
"It's good, I'm never lonely with Tamaki around he's an amazing person" Jocelyn smiles as she talks about him
"Well that's good than and about the Ootori son, what's his name?" he asks her
"Kyoya" she answers him
"Right"
"I don't spend much time with Kyoya, but it was really sweet of him to help with exams and he says if I ever need anything he's always around" she says to her father
"That's good and have you seen the sons of the Morinozuka and Haninozuka families?" he asks
Jocelyn tense at the mention of Takashi's surname "I've seen them around but since we're in different years I don't see them often" she tells him
"I see, your mother was always so fond of them" he smiles sadly
"I miss her too dad, all the time" Jocelyn says, and she puts her hand on his "What's with all the questions?" she asks
"I just wanted to see how school was going, you know how I worry" he answers
"You don't have to worry dad" goes about eating than remembers the invitations "Oh look the invitations came" she shows him one
"They look great, good job sweetie" he tells her, and Jocelyn smiles big "Oh before I forget Amanda won't arriving till next week actually"
"I see" Jocelyn gets quite
"Is that alright?" he asks skeptically
"Yeah I can't wait to get to know her better" Jocelyn flashes him a fake smile
"That's good sweetie" he smiles but Jocelyn wasn't the least bit happy about it at all
Later that night Jocelyn is lying in bed unable to sleep when there's a knock at her door
"Excuse me miss" Akira calls from the other side
"Come in" Jocelyn calls to her
Akira walks and over to Jocelyn "You wanted to see me?" she asks
"I need some advice" Jocelyn sits up and pats her bed signaling Akira to sit
"What troubles you?" she asks
"Akira you ever been hurt by someone you really care about?" Jocelyn asks
"Hurt like how?" Akira asks for clarification
"Like they cheated on you or left you for someone else or broke your heart" Jocelyn said
"I get it now this is love advice" Akira gives her an I-see-now look
"Have you?" Jocelyn asks
"Of course, I have everyone has it's a part of life" Akira tells her
"Did you ever forgive that person?" Jocelyn asks
"Let me tell you about this one guy back in England" Akira turns to Jocelyn and gets comfortable
"In Japanese you need to keep practicing" Jocelyn tells her
"Alright" Akira laughs "So back in high school there was this guy name Robbie, I loved him with all my heart and he was a fittie and so kind and caring and he was everything to" Akira smiled fondly
"What happened?" Jocelyn asked very interested
"My mom and I moved her" Akira looked at Jocelyn softly
"Akira…I'm so sorry" Jocelyn said clearly upset
"Hey it's alright, this was years ago I'm over it now" Akira tells her
"Wait what happen when we went back during my third year?" Jocelyn asks
"Well when I told Robbie I was leaving we promised that when I came back we would get back together" Akira had sadness in her eyes when she said this next part "When we came back during your third year of middle school I had found out that Robbie had gotten married the year before and that his wife was expecting" Akira's eyes were starting to well up with tears "At first I was angry you know? Like 'how could he break that promise to me?' and then when I saw him and how he was with his new wife I realized how happy Robbie was deep in my heart I was happy for him" Akira sniffled and wiped her eyes "Of course I cried my eyes out that night but I learned to get over it and I can now say I'm whole heartedly happy for him" Akira looks over at Jocelyn who looks like she's about to cry "Oh miss"
"I'm so sorry Akira, it's all my fault I begged my mom to bring me back to Japan, so I could be with the man I loved not realizing that I was taking you away from yours" Jocelyn starts tearing "And now I'm not even with him because he hurt me"
"Jocelyn listen to me; don't worry about me I've come to terms with it but you if you want to be able to have a love story you need to forgive this man. I mean you're young is what he did really so terrible you can't forgive him?" Akira says to her and Jocelyn thinks for moment still unsure "Jocelyn look at me" Jocelyn does as she is told "If you love this man don't let him be taken by someone else or you'll regret it your whole life" Akira wipes her tears
"Thank you, Akira, I don't know what I would do without you" Jocelyn hugs her
"I'm always here for you" Akira smiles and hugs her back
Two days later Jocelyn arrives at her classroom to see Kyoya and Tamaki already there
"Good morning, Kyoya, Tamaki" she greets them
"Good morning Jocelyn" they greet
"These are for the two of you and your families" she hands them both invitations
"What's this?" Tamaki asks
"Invitations for my father's birthday two weeks from this tomorrow" she tells him with a smile
"A Koizumi party, it's been a while" Kyoya says
"I know, I'm taking over my mother's mantle of best party planner" Jocelyn smiles brightly "Tamaki you have never been to one of our family parties but your father has and he can tell you"
"I look forward to it princess" Tamaki says
"I also have a favor to ask Tamaki" Jocelyn says to him
"What is it?" Tamaki asks
During Lunch break Jocelyn makes her way over to the third-year classrooms. She makes her way to room 3-A.
"Excuse me are Mitsukuni and Takashi here?" she asks
"They went down to the cafeteria" some girl answered
"Oh, I see" Jocelyn says
"Jocelyn, what are you doing here?" Jocelyn looks around the room and spots Tadashi walking over to her with Toji "I was looking for Mitsukuni and Takashi, but I guess I missed the two of them but I'm glad I got the two of you"
"Oh? Really now?" Tadashi smirks
"Here these are you two and your families" she hands them both invitations "It's a party for my father, two weeks from tomorrow"
"I've heard about the Koizumi parties, they were legendary when your mother was still alive" Toji says
"Toji" Tadashi elbows him
"It's fine Kurosawa-senpai, it's true my mother knew how to throw amazing parties and I've decided to take up that mantle" Jocelyn smiles
"Well I'm very excited to finally get to see a famous Koizumi party" Toji says
"Hey, Jocelyn would you like to come over to my house today, you never got a chance to try all the new flavors before my mother releases them" Tadashi ask
"I'd love to come, and I'd love to meet your mother" Jocelyn tells him
"Great, I'll meet you after school" Tadashi say
"Sounds good and uh I also have a favor I need to ask the two of you" Jocelyn says
After school Jocelyn makes a quick stop at the host club
"Hi Kyoya" Jocelyn greets him
"Jocelyn what are you doing here?" he asks
"I'm here to drop off Invitations to the rest of the club" she says
"Well as you can see we have guest right now, so I'll give it to them when club ends" Kyoya says
"I won't be long Kyoya I promise plus I need to speak to the twins anyway" Jocelyn says
"We really shouldn't disturb them" Kyoya says
"Kyoya" Jocelyn gives him a smile "You really don't want to upset me"
Kyoya just looked back to the notebook in his hand and Jocelyn made her way through the club room first stopping by the twins table
Hikaru is laughing as he's telling a story
"Hikaru, Kaoru" Jocelyn calls to them and they twitch at the sound of her voice "These are for you and your family" she hands them an invitation
"Ah Koizumi?" Hikaru says surprised as he opens the invitation
"Mom will be so excited" Kaoru says
"Speaking of your mother, could you have her call me? I'd like her to make a dress for me for the party" she asks them
"Yeah definitely" Kaoru answers
"Great my number is on the card have her give me a call" Jocelyn says and makes her way over to Haruhi
"Haruhi you're invited as well" Jocelyn smiles at her
"Really? Thank you" Haruhi says as she takes the invitation "Oh I passed my exams senpai, placed first on all of them"
"That's great Haruhi I'm happy I was able to help" Jocelyn smiles and looks over at Honey and Mori, they were the last people she needed to give invitations to. She took a deep breath walks over to them
Mori and Honey are sitting on two sofas with Honey on one sitting in the middle with two girls next to him and Mori on the other sofa and a girl with wavy red hair, pale skin and brown eyes sitting next to him. She notices Jocelyn making her way over to them
"Hey Mori" she calls to Mori and he looks at her and before he knows it the girl is kissing him. Mori quickly pushes her away
"Takashi" Jocelyn's voice breaking as she says his name
Mori doesn't show his emotions he's usually very stoic but seeing how heart broken Jocelyn looked Mori's heart sunk and he looked terrified. "Jocelyn" Jocelyn didn't let Mori finish, she ran out the club room "Wait Jocelyn" Mori jumped and ran after Jocelyn
"Jocelyn" Mori called out to her, but she didn't stop but Mori being the athletic champion he is caught Jocelyn in no time, but when he did Jocelyn was full tearing
"Let go of me Takashi" Jocelyn cries
"Jocelyn you have to listen to me" Mori says to her
"No Takashi I don't want to listen to you" Jocelyn pulls herself away from him "This is what you've been doing the 2 and a half years I've been gone"
"You don't understand" he tries to plead with her to listen
Jocelyn slams the invitations on his chest "These are for your family and Mitsukuni's" Jocelyn walks away after that and Takashi lets her as he holds onto the invitations
After putting some distance between yourself and Takashi you start to compose yourself
"Alright back straight, head up and let's wipe away these tears" Jocelyn pulls out a wet wipe and wipes her eyes. After composing herself Jocelyn makes her way over to the front gates of the school where Tadashi is waiting for her
"Hey Jocelyn, you ready?" Tadashi asks
"Yeah I'm ready Kurosawa-senpai" she tells him
"Please call me Tadashi" he smiles and the two head into his limo
Hey so this is my last update for the month, I'm gonna be a bit busy with school I've got exams and homework i need to do but i'll writing in my spare time and i also want to finish reading the manga because i'm going to start incorporating some things from the manga into my story so if you haven't read the manga you really should. i don't want to spoil anything.
