Chapter Seven
New York
New York
I smiled, as we finally made it to the apartment building.
"How did you know it was this one?" Gold asked.
"I'm going on a hunch." I said, looking at the apartment numbers on the placard, before pressing a random, whitened out number.
"How can you be so sure, that that number is the number that my son is staying at?" Gold asked.
I sighed, getting tired of his constant questioning. Why wouldn't he let me do my job? Henry was leaning against the wall, playing Gameboy, paying no attention as to what was going.
I pressed the button again and again. Until we heard a loud jump.
"Is he running?" Gold asked. We ran outside, just in time to see a man in a grey jacket and blue jeans running in the opposite direction.
"Swan, you have to go after him!"
"What?"
"I can't physically run, you're the only one!"
I grunted, looking back and forth between him and the one man getting away. Weighing out every possibility, I began to run.
"Stay with Henry!"

Storybrooke- David & Mary-Margaret
David sat in the office, sorting through papers and trying to keep everything in order. However, he couldn't stay focused. His mind flashed back to the night before Emma and Henry left with Gold.
"You made a deal with Gold?" Mary-Margaret asked, crossing her arms.
"I didn't have much of a choice! A teenage girl was about to lose her child and I happen to know how that feels like. I didn't want her to lose her child like I did! Don't you think that if you could've done anything, you would've kept us together?"
Mary-Margaret frowned, going to her daughter's side. "You know we would've." She said.
"I just can't believe you made a blind deal with Gold, you didn't know what he could've pulled!"
Emma sighed. "Well, I'm sorry, you guys feel that way, but I'm an adult, I can take care of myself."
"Goodnight." She said, as she headed, leaving her parents in the living room.
The morning felt so awkward. He sighed, shaking his head.
Just as the door opened, and Regina walked in.
"We have to prepare." She said.
"Prepare for what?" David asked.
"My mother is talking magic. I mean big magic, more than I could fight off…we're going to need Gold."
"Gold's in New York." David said.
"New York?" Regina asked.
"He claimed to find his son." He said.
"Son?" Regina asked. "Gold has a son?"
David just shrugged. "He was really determined, he took Emma and Henry with him."
Regina sighed. "Great, the second choice."
"Excuse me,"
The two people turned to find a woman with dark hair and icy green eyes standing in the doorway. With a shadow behind her.
Was that?
No, it couldn't be?
It was.

New York
I crashed into him, and landed, with a thud on my back.
I felt the wind rush out of me, and I struggled to breathe. I realized, since I became pregnant, I was so out of shape.
"Emma?" He asked. I looked up to find Neal Cassidy standing above me. My first real boyfriend, and I felt my gut sinking.
It couldn't be him.
"Neal?"
Neal frowned, offering his hand.
As I slowly got up, he inched away from me. Creating his distance. "How the hell did you find me?" He demanded.
I closed my eyes, still feeling the aching pain.
"That's my gift, finding people." I said.
He smiled. "So, you finally came looking for me, after all these years?"
I frowned, straightening up. "No." I said, resting my hand on my protruding stomach.
"I came looking for you because of your father."
"My father?" He asked. "Emma, what are you talking about?"
"Don't play dumb with me, Cassidy, I know your secret…you're Rumplestiltskin's son, and I have to take you to him." I said.
"No, you don't." Neal said, quickly shaking his head. "You could say that you never find me, that you lost me….that I escaped inside the crowd, anything but taking me to him."
I sighed. "I'm sorry, Neal, but I made a deal and intend on keeping my end of the bargain."
Neal frowned, shaking his head. "I'm sorry, I've spent half of my life running from that man, I can't go back. Besides, what the hell are you doing making deals with him, if you know who he was?"
"Desperate times, okay?" I asked.
"Anyway, please come with me."
Neal shook his head. "Sorry, can't." He began to walk away, leaving me standing there. Empty handed.
